So if you get to a 100%, is that perma-ban?
No. It just have a 100% warn for good. TBQH I don't even think hitting 100% auto bans you. The way the system is now most of the main mod tools (bans, making it so you can't post, watching posts) all tie into the warn system so if the mods doesn't ban you when they change your warn, you might not get banned.

I don't think it's necessary we have a second mod for the main section at the moment, but a major overhaul to C&O is most definitely in order. Either I grow a pair and gather major heat with new rules or somebody will have to be specifically designated to do that for me. :P
I don't oppose a second General mod at all, but if one is appointed, I'll definitely request teamwork to finally sort out C&O properly.

Well more hands make for less works, so adding another mod wouldn't really hurt.

What do you think of my "just lock everything and start over" idea? It's crazy, and its more of a joke then anything, but it would help solve the problem. Also, to make it so it doesn't get like that again make a new rules, all club makers "mod" there club. If the club gets bad they take the brunt of the punishment and the club gets locked. If a club leader no longer wishes to run the club he can ask for another member to remake the thread and have the first locked.

And just for more feed back, any one can give their thoughts on the idea.

I actually think the old rep system was flayed, as you could give a rep for any reason- also neg rep the same.
It's been said, but just to show that more then 1 person things it, it works the same way now. Only now you have now idea why you got the rep.

Aalso, reps can't be removed from what I can tell.

A second General Mod is a touchy subject; I can handle the Main Section, but C&O is an absolute hellhole where enforcing rules is impossible simply because the rate at which they are broken is 10 times higher the one I can issue warnings at. The section itself was designed in such a way that it pretty much legalizes spam in a way similar to IM chat. A similar problem exists in Games, but since people only go there specifically to play along, it won't annoy members looking for actual discussion.

I am, however, extremely reluctant to suggest somebody for the job. Not because I see no potential candidates (far from it), but because they'd end up doing the same thing I'm doing - modding every other section of General while being subdued by the dark mass of entropy that is C&O. I don't think it's necessary we have a second mod for the main section at the moment, but a major overhaul to C&O is most definitely in order. Either I grow a pair and gather major heat with new rules or somebody will have to be specifically designated to do that for me. :P

Would you kill me if I suggest to get myself back to Clubs/Orgies?=/
Yes I'd be interested to take the Clubs section back, or one of the sub-sections of General.

But then again, if YCMaker decides to post a new application thread, a lot of people are going to be butthurt because of that or not understand a thing since I already did it once.=D

I like the "burn everything, burn it to the ground!" approach, to be honest, but the backlash from that call would be immense if we just started locking en masse. A reset to the section would be great, starting anew with tighter rules, but forcing the pinned and other large clubs to start over from scratch is something that can only be done after talking with everybody (club leaders and members), not just between mods. It's definitely something I'm willing to try, though.

I have no problem whatsoever with you branching over to Clubs, if you're willing to face its fury, but this call should start brewing in our super secret special awesome mod section instead of a public discussion where the rabble can comment on the affairs of kings.
But seriously, I think all this discussion merits a thread of its own in the Mod's forum. Shall we?

@FD - The rep system mey work similarly

but you can't remove reps

You don't see your post count as easily.

Aaaaaand I miss having like a high green number on top of my post count :3

Also, that reset the section thing....I actually AM all for it, but we would need to gather all the leaders of big clubs, and talk it over with them, to see if they're okay.

But of course, the reset would be pointless if the threats just became spam again, so this time a close eye should be kept on the threads with fastest growth.

Because I'm sure clubs have gotten to where they are with spam, cause some, if not most, club leaders (who have power in their clubs) obviously aren't effective at dealing with punishing their members for spam and shiz.

If they do reset C/O, a lot of people are going to be mad because there post count will go down so if you have a plan to keep the post count then it would be a no. Also about the rep system, I hate that its only posts you can rep them on but I do like that you get points by getting rep or repping some one.

Club....revamp? Explain please?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the idea behind that is to delete all of the clubs and start over new, except this time without a post count. Also, I think besides the post count it has to do with getting other clubs more active. Right now I want my club to be more active, it is lacking in active members.

This is somewhat of an interesting idea. Although people who got 90% of their post count on this part of the forum would probably RageQuit unless there posts would be returned, or just be okay with it and move on like it never happened.

Yea, if we really are going to do this I'd put up a thread to have evryone be able to talk about it (maybe in polls since it would be easier to see what people think).

That's where my second idea came from. If some one wants to make a club they need to be willing to take responsibility for it. They will basically "mod" the club and make sure things don't get to spammy. If things do the club will be closed and they as well as the main spammy members will get warned.
I like the idea for the whole club section reset.

This would obviously give a fairer advantage to other new clubs. But the only problem is, after the clubs are remade, wouldn't it suddenly be insanely crowded with tons of new clubs?
Yea, but it's not like we aren't already now. From what I see this section moves fast so it's common for clubs to get pushed to the bottom fast.
That and the club reset idea.

Wait, rep system? Was there an older one?
Yea. Two months before you joined the forum was VERY different.
Club revamp- DO IT! The pinned clubs can just make a new one, and asked to be pinned again. That shouldn't be a problem.
Well, the way I'm thinking of doing things now is make sure this idea is good then make a poll talking about it. If enough people like it, it would go into effect next year. Since I would already be changing the stickies (I do so every 3 months) so no one would be stuck for those 3 months. After everything calms down I will start sticking clubs in April.

Why would they go down.....
Well

Wait

Then my post count would drop by....

24000 or so.

.............................................

Yeah, bad idea. >.>

I mean, maybe LOCKING all the clubs, sure. But deleting? Noooooooooooooo
Ok, now i get it. Yea, I wasn't talking about deleting clubs. No, no, no. I was going to lock all clubs from the past 6 months.

I'm definitely all for it, and considering the state of C&O currently, I don't even think you should ask club leaders. Just inform them ahead of time so they can save their first post to WordPad and y'all can go through with the massive lock.

If you can actually get strict enough rules and have them enforced, you do not know how much better C&O would become. :/

So, a massive reset is in order?

If you are actually to go through with this, you must have strict modship and guidelines. Also, the mod of C&O would have to patrol this section constantly to ensure that C&O doesn't revert back to its previous state.

I don't see what the big fuss is about post count, anyways. =/
