Then just take control of your club and change the topic. It's that simple Smesh. ;)

But this topic has already been taken into effect, and if it takes away my possible Mod status, let it be so. It's making progress, and it's for the better.

I would still like the position, but the forum is of higher importance.

So, since I'm just a normal member, I should not care? I'm sorry, I'm going to do what I feel needs to be done, regardless of other people's standards. That's what the 6 of us who PMd YCMaker did.

And the voice of a single moderator would have gotten noticed sooner. Had your reasoning's show proper structure instead of "We don't like this", but they didn't gain proper structure until a moderator walked in and had to reword it for you.

What are you talking about? We sent him a single PM that was written by Smesh or Andx, not sure which. He replied, and the ball is rolling. We did not propose specific ideas, only moderator ideas.

Roxas, Opal, FD, and yourself had NOTHING to do with the PM.

Lmao. Poor wording on my part. The thing is, it still started off sounding like "We don't like this" ._.'. And that never gets anywhere where I live, no matter how structured that dislike is. You have to show genuine need, and the only one to date that has a labeled "NEED" is Roleplay. Everything else was in the works of being taken cared of.

It's funny because over 88% of the posts here are all about the Mod Problem.
Fixed.

Also, Roleplaying is the only one in need?

I feel like laughing.

If it was just that simple, we wouldn't have started this club.

Because most of the problems of YCM come from the fact the sections need organization.

Mods provide that.

And an organized section takes care of trolls/spammers/flamers better

So it's all about the organization.

And thus all about the mods.

THIS THREAD! I get that it has a point, but I'd prefer patience over something like this.

The time is when their patience wears thin, not ours.

You've been a mod for how long? I remember you being one around the time I started (granted I may be off by a bit), but I know it's been over a year. You know where patience gets us. We often need Crab to make a +1000 word post in the mod forum before we get any word from them about what's going on, a great example being the warn system.

And we NEED more mods. Look at this section and tell me it couldn't do with another mod. More hands makes for light work, so really, adding a few more staff members as lined out in my post a few pages back wouldn't hurt. And how could the normal members know we were talking care of the YD section?

I don't know about you, but I love the Warn System. It effectively tallies how many rules that person has broken, and how severe we can get. And my patience hasn't worn out yet, but then again my patience lasts years. And yea this section could use one a lot of them, but as far as urgency goes? lol... Meh, maybe it's how I prioritize the sections.

We don't need Crab for anything, I'm pretty sure if someone else makes a page-long essay with threats and everything it gets the point across all the same.

Meh my main problem is not a lack of mods, the list itself is long, but it's the fact that most of the mods are doing such a crappy job. The least you can do when disappearing is to drop a note or say that you're not interested anymore, unless you're in a coma or something. But it's not normal that you have a busy section and only come around when you feel like it. That's why I think we should have a B team like in soccer teams.

Then once we know that half of the mods deserve to be put off, then we could start looking for more staff. But one step at a time, it's already confusing enough like this.

So what happened last night?
Falling Pizza is more active than YCMaker, even if he logs out he's going to come back so don't worry about him logging off.
And YCMaker takes every suggestion into account, but he has the last word so we never know.

Meh I'm still nominating myself for Clubs.=/
And I don't think we need as many mods as possible, we tried to go by that rule and look what we got as a result? We need to find the right middle, not too many but enough to handle the section.

I remember a while back, Icy said that it is possible to have MEMBERS be promoted in certain ways, but not become Moderators. Such as locking threads, warnings, etc.

The warn system works when it wants. It doesn't always move people when they get banned. Warns don't go away. I'm assuming it was fixed, but when the thread was made normal mods could only add 1 warn point and couldn't warn them back to back. Plus the old system did the same thing. Really, this system is horrid.

So if was up to you we wouldn't get anywhere? Trust me, this section is a spam hole.

True, but how many other people would go and do it. Still we don't "need" Crab, but we need some one like him to get things started.

That still doesn't solve the inactivity of the current mods and what to do with them. I don't mind if someone thinks someone else can be promoted without becoming a mod but the problem lies with the mods who are somehow still on the list.=/ We need to know what they're doing, why some of them aren't here anymore and get rid of the ones who signed off anyway like JesusofChaos. And then we can start looking for replacements, personally I could really use a clear list for once and not one that is outdated like that.=/

FD: Let's say we need someone who can copy-paste Crab's speech style or someone who has enough time on his hands to drop a page-long essay while also praising his own merits in the meantime. Multi-tasking but shouldn't be a big thing with a bit of practice.
