So I've read the posts after my posts, and while it may seem to you that I should blame myself, I am not at fault. Please be concise when typing, and make your opinions noted clearly. It is not my fault that I thought FTW was implying that Icy bans random people, as that is what his post implied. If he meant something else, he better clearly state it. <___<
Yes, next time I shall be more concise and less ambiguous. My apologies.

Being a mod is a dirty job. You gotta lock threads, ban members...but someone's gotta do it.
Agreed. We can all get mad at a Mod and want him/her to be replaced but then another will step in and do virtually the same thing. Perhaps theiy'll be better, and do things differently. But still, they'll be the ones to lock threads and ban members.

Still, however, I understand you guys and agree with some.

Yes, in the end, it all comes down to which mod can get the situation to the least amount of bans/locks.

So it truly depends on the members that read the rules.

And little to no noobs do, I'm quite sure.

I personally have to admit I didn't read the forum rules when I was a noob.

In fact, I didn't even know how to post cards.

But a nice member helped me out, and clearly pointed out what was wrong, and what could be improved.

Even tho my card SUCKED TO HIGH HEAVEN. (4 star, 2500 ATK, 2400 DEF. And no effect >.> )

My point being, if there were more members like these around these days, we would really have better noobs out there, and they really wouldn't be noobs (due to nice members, I was out of noobish-ness at 3 stars)

If we can get new members to go on the right path, we can lead them to welcome the next generation with advice, and kindness.

It may seem members do what mods want, but in fact, a mod's job depends solely on the members, and what they decide to do in respose to the mod and his/her actions/

As for me, I did read the rules and no one helped me on how to post a card, I had to look it up, which at the time it was kind of difficult...anyway, looking at the rules is a lot different from knowing the rules. Also, I ask any new member to PM me when they need help, and when they do I try to be as prompt and as simple as possible. However, it is only because I try to be nice. All we can do is try.

I take no prejudice against new members. It's wrong and arrogant. Also it's quite hypocritical. You yell and judge, flame and hate them and yet weren't each and everyone of us a new member once upon a time? What gives us the right to treat them so badly when still plenty of the members here who have been here for months on end still cant make a decent card?

I only lose pity when they start acting like an idiot, even when help has been offered.

Most definitely. If a noob asks me for help, I help him.

In fact, they're usually simple questions

"How can I make my club sucessful?"

"How can I post cards?"

Are questions I've heard more than once.
lol, I've gotten "How do you post cards?" many times. So, to make it simple, I posted it in my signature. I've never gotten the successful club one, but I've only created one club and it hasn't completely taken off yet. I try to help anyone who asks me for it, because if they take the time to ask I might as well take the time to answer.

The only time I get annoyed is when they really don't get something I explained 5 times or so.

Or when they reach like 5 stars, and are still not only noobs, but have grown to be trolls (like Pichu)

But those are the worst cases.

And in fact, rare cases.

I just wish I could help out noobs more >.>

@Wynn - My club has 19,000+ posts, I suppose that's why xD

And it's now in page 50 or so~ ;D

Just sayin~

But yeah, obviously new members will think my club is better cause it has one single thread, while all your posts are worthless cept for the 12,000+ current ones~

Try again. Page 633, I think.

And? Your club is dying.

So...roleplay section is second priority?

I agree that one mod isn't enough for the RP section, especially since Rinne disappears once in awhile. (From what I've seen) But you can't blame Rinne for all the terrible roleplaying and the terrible plots.

See, roleplayers get almost no criticism and most of them can't even write a story. The RP section isn't going to get any better with stricter rules. The advanced clause only makes more quantity, not better quality. Of course you can't have a rule saying, "You have to have decent writing", so the only way to fix the terrible writing is by teaching.

Which is what I want.

I want Advanced, with a set plot amount, line amount, etc.
And I want Beginner, which is a varying Basic to Casual section for new RPers to go and learn in. Of course, more experienced RPer would have to go and help.

This reminds me of a suggestion in Comments&Suggestions. Someone suggested that there should be a sub-forum in CC for bad cardmakers. And guess what? It didn't do anything. Even Yankee said they discussed in the mod forum, but still produced nothing.

How many people do you think will actually ADMIT they are beginner roleplayers? How many people do you think will go straight for the advanced section because they think they're good enough? How do you think mods will stop beginners from going to the advanced section? Does roleplaying "experience" in YCM really say anything?

Bob: I've been roleplaying in YCM for a year now. That means I get to go to the advanced section, right?

There's so many problems with this. Different sections won't solve anything.

Plot Amount. No 1-Line plots. They have to be a certain length, and thought out well enough.

There's a difference, though. You can't warn people for being a Bad Cardmaker. Beginners is for new Members/New RPers. They know they need to learn, or they should. If they can handle Advanced, let them at it. If they post 1-liners or whatnot often, they get a warning, and get told to go to that section. if they do not comply/fix their posting, it goes up, and will lead to a ban.

Also, the majority of new RPers seem to WANT to post less.... so, most will go to Beginners.

All the more reason to institute the Beginner's section. That way, they can learn to be good RPers. Again, this would require active and good RPers.

You're playing a part of a story. You're not chatting one. Kindly use some actual Chat program/site if you wish to post a sentence at a time. Extremely common sense. Having one would be a dire insult to that and what Roleplaying IS.

On the few occasions I do RP (mostly to practice my writing adaptability), it's 3 paragraphs minimum.

Personally, I feel that the absolute removal of Basic led to these RPers who cannot post the amount they should. I understand they should post more than one line, but it just is not happening for new RPers. They don't read the rules (Go figure), and they post 1-liners. So, with their first offense, you just point them to the Beginner's section. As Clair said, tis is not an RPing site in, and of, itself. It needs something beyond "This is how you do it. Now, go."

Seriously, how many people READ the rules when they join? I doubt the number is large in the slightest. I see nothing wrong with a section for members to learn. In fact, it seems like a good idea. At one point, the "Teaching Clause" almost came into effect, where an experienced RPer who knew what they were doing would take a newbie under their wing. It died out, because that would not work. It required to much of the community as a whole. However, with a whole section of simpler RPs, then the Teaching Clause would work fine, in a less personal way. They would see how the experienced RPers do it, and gradually learn.

3 paragraphs, huh? Well, how did you get there? Writing Classes (Namely English, I'd think for you) and learning how to RP.
