To Kill a Dragon

Alacar was patched up by an Oruk in a medic bay for the fort, the Oruk's healing method's where great for human's, because of the Oruk's hard skin they need stronger healing types and that means it is easy to heal an almost dying human. "Thanks," Alacar said as his leg was completely healed. He ran outside firing warp arrows everywhere.

He walked outside and there where voices all around calling he heard "The man is coming" and "watch out", he looked around, it seemed to be coming from the tree's... he looked at a tree feeling strange he asked "Is this the tree" he heard in the whispers "you can hear us?" He jumped back from the tree as the branch twitched next to him. "Okay this is way too strange", he said as he looked at the Emap representation he had saw was stolen from him. The tree yelled "Quick now" and a large group of El Vida jumped from behind trees and bushes all aiming arrows made of plasma at Axe's head. "This is gonna be messy..." he said to himself and realised they all seemed to be moving slowly "...huh?" he said as the arrows where shot at him they seemed to be going agonisingly slow. He stepped as an arrow missed him and saw the dust slowly move up from the ground. more arrows headed for him and he grabbed one from the air and threw it back. Radio Control it seems they have made me a superwarrior everything is going slower. He than raised his axe and waited for the bloodshed.

"Dead Man, we have to get moving. We'll never find Wolfe at this rate. He could be out there injured and in need of medical attention while were here fighting someone else's battle." Brendon saiid. Immediately afterward, Brendon cut off an Oruk's arms, legs, and head. He then took off the jetpack on his back and put it on. He let out his hand to Alacar. "Lets go, I came to help you, not the Oruks. This is none of our business, we have to move." As he awaited Alacar's response, he was shot in the leg by a red Oruk. Brendon screamed in pain. "Hurry Dead Man!"

Brendon would likely be very happy to see what it was that was coming in on him from above, or he might think that the massive fiery object closing rapidly on his position was a meteor that was liable to crush him. Regardless of what he thought, the massive fireball crashed to the ground directly between the man and the Oruks that had been Firing upon him. The fireball turned out to, actually, be a machine that was in the rough shape of a hexagonal pyramid which was flattened on the top and had six doors attached to it on all six sides. It was currently absorbing the fire which was coming from the Oruks that had previously been attacking Brendon. The doors suddenly opened, falling down from the sides like some sort of steel draw bridge and producing a substantial cloud of dust, out of which the streaks of high-caliber bullets quickly started to flare at an incredible rate, the bullets exploding as soon as they buried themselves into the bodies of the Oruks. Soon, a large armored figure stepped out of the Drop Pod. The armored figure was covered in dark gray armor which was covered in soot and dried blood from countless battles and stood roughly six feet tall but was substantially larger than an average man. He held a large, bulky weapon which appeared to be some sort of machine gun with a magazine that looked like it weighed a substantial amount by itself. On his back, the armored figure carried a sword-like weapon and in several holsters on his armored belt he carried several pistol-like weapons. He continued to lay down suppressive fire on the Oruks that had been pressing the attack, forcing them to take cover. He ceased fire for a moment, pulling out the empty magazine and reloading with a fresh one before turning to the wounded Brendon on the ground.

"I take it you're Joker, am I right?"

Brendon slowly took away his hand from Alacar, knowing they needed no hurry anymore now that they were safe from Oruk fire. He looked at the armored man with wide opened eyes. "Uh...yea, that would be me. And um...who are you?" Brendon asked, at a loss of words for the giant that stood before him. He did not recognize the man, but he already knew he didn't want to be his enemy. "Please, for the love of whatever divine figure that watches from above, tell me you're on our side. Because I really don't want to die today, It's a really nice day and I just saw this planet. I still haven't seen whatever good sites it has...oh yeah and my comrade is probably stuck somewhere around here." Brendon asked. He had a good feeling that the man was on his side, but you can never be too sure.

Axe finally made it back to where he started, the el vida pad Axe ill tell you how to pick which pad to use, there is one right next to the team Axe touched the runic symbol's on the pad's and they lit up then he stepped on the middle and was absorbed in a blue light. He looked out and saw the team, along with another unknown person. He saw an Oruk in yellow walking up to them and raised an Incendiary grenade, but stopped. The oruk was talking to them, "what the hell..." he said using his now inhuman abilities to jump impossibly in front of them. "Hello everyone," "anyone know where Leif or Wolfe got up to?"

While still awaiting a reply from the mysterious man who helped him Brendon turned to face Axe, who somehow pretty much flied to them. "Axe, where have you been. Wolfe is lost probably somewhere on this planet, but I haven't heard from Leif at all. By the way, how did you just do that?" he asked obviously surprised.

The heavily armored giant calmly spun about as a few of the red Oruks were coming up out from behind the cover that they had found in the aftermath of his ceasing of fire and once more opened fire with his high-caliber machine gun. Over the incredible roar of the fire, he turned his head to the group, helmet hiding any expression that he might have had on his face.

"My name is Vincent, though through my years of service I have since become known as The Angel of Death."

He then turned his head back to the red Oruks, making sure to keep his aim careful to ensure that he was able to exterminate the Oruks as efficiently as possible, quickly leaving the small group of them nothing but a pool of blood surrounded by a few bones. He calmly ceased fire once more, lowering the Heavy Bolter as he turned back to the group.

"And yes, I am on your side. I have been deployed to aid you in the case of encountering...particularly heavy opponents."

OOC: Sorry I can't post anymore.... I gotta die..

IC: Wolfe ran into the encampment of Red Oruks and he jumped into the air and flew into the middle, then the enraged Oruks all ran in encircling him, he drew his knife and he spun and slashed rapidly then he threw the knife into one of their heads and grabbed an axe, he took a few swings before he got his left hand cut off, Wolfe screamed in pain then he grabbed a belt of grenades and he randomly shoved them into their mouths before he started punching and kicking, then he jump up in an attempt to escape and was pulled back by a big Oruk, then he stopped as he realised that it was too late now, he only hoped that his teammates would do better than he did, "Goodbye guys..."

"I was caught by the el vida... and they , experimented on me," he looked cautiosly as he heard the voices again but they where louder and more barren. "I have had a major fix on my body though, im a stronger, and i can pump so muc adrenaline in my body its like slow motion," he stepped over to the yellow Oruk's and greeted them, than walked back over to the other's. "I had a call, Wolfe is dead and Leif is M.I.A it's, just us left"

"Wolfe is dead! I never thought that could happen. And Leif is M.I.A.? Man I just realized how bad bad news sucks. Well for now we got big guy over here and now that your...enhanced...we can't die. Hopefully. I kinda feel like I would be holding you guys back though. You two are like super saiyans while I'm like Krillin or something," Brendon said. He felt a horrible sting in his heart with news of the deaths of Wolfe and most likely Leif. He carelessly threw a E.C.D. at a red Oruk, killing it. "So what do we do now Axe," Brendon asked.

Axe decided if because of the 'upgrade' he could talk to the trees, he use them as his own personal scouts. "Hello", he said to the tree next to him, it lightly twitched its branches so it looked like the wind, "hhheeello", it said in a snake like voice "Hi, do you mind, telling us if something bad is coming?" he said looking at it hopefully. It twitched the hollow in its trunk as if nodding. "Thankyou," he said to it and decided to spray a bit of a water bottle he brang with him on the tree as a gift. "Where going this way" he said realising he had the only working Position system and it led them to the warp pad back to el vida.

(OOC: Srry for not posting. But this post will hopefully make up for that)
Lief, during the course of her apparent dissapearence, had actually been kidnapped by Red Oruks. She sat losely chained to a wall. "This is freaking ridiculous." She moaned. "Even a BABY can break out of these feeble excuses for ropes, but I can't. Pathetic!" She muttered, jerking in an attempt the tear the chains apart, to no avail. "Plus," She added, somehow being able to press some buttons on her info pad. "Everyone thinks I'm simply M.I.A, and they don' really care, meaning I'm basically stuck here." Glancing around, she noticed all the Oruks had left. Staring at a nearby wall, she read something roughly scratched there.
"Task - Kill invading humans"
"Crap!" She gasped. "That means Axe, Brendon and Wol- Oh crap!" She gasped. "Wolfe was killed not to long ago, Brendon is normal, an APPARENTLY Axe has been enhanced in some fashion. And I'm stuck here. Brilliant layout." She tugged extra violently on the chains, and they de-linked. She stretched, then glanced around. "Ok, I have no idea where on this dumb planet I am, but if I can get to a higher vantage point...." Running out the falling-apart door hole, she looked around wildly. Noticing a tall tree, she climbed up, and looked around.
"Nothing nothing nothing noth- Hey, that's the hole my ship made when I crashed through the trees!" She was right. "Ok, I'll head that way, and then follow the path I made before, and hopefully I'll be lead to Axe and Brendon." She scrabbled down. "But first, to tie up a loose end." She whipped out her info pad, and typed a message. It read;
" Leaf here, I'm alright! Not M.I.A anymore. Anyway, are you guys still at the warp pad I was at earlier? If you're not, tell me the location you guys are, OK?" She sent the message to Axe and Brendon, then ran in the direction of her entry hole.

OOC: Brendon is normal, lmao.

Brendon was absolutely relived to Leif's message displayed on his commlink (which is very much like an Iphone lets just say). He grabbed his commlink and into it he spoke, "Leif! Glad your still alive! I have absolutely no idea what warp pad your talking about though," Brendon said smiling. "Here talk to super Axe," He said handing his commlink to Axe. Brendon was cheering that 1/2 of their missing team was still alive. But then he thought about something. "Where's....Alacar....?" He remembered Alacar was right next to him before Vincent showed up, so where did he go. Brendon was about to tell Axe, but he decided against it. He would wait until Axe told Leif where they were headed.

Leaf grinned. "Of course you wouldn't know which warp pad! If it helps, I mean the warp pad which is close to my spaceship, which will most likely blow up if I take off." Pressing some random buttons, a map of the planet came up. She typed in a silent command, and two dots appeared, one red, one blue. Then a third dot appeared, green in color. "Chart Course!" She wrote, and a black line, weaving all over the place, appeared, connecting the 3 dots together. "Perfect!" She whispered, grinning. But her smile faded when a large group of black dots came up on the screen. "Oruks!" She cursed. Glancing at the commlink from time to time, she ran, following the line.
(OOC: In case you didn't realise, she's tracing the signal of Brendon and Axe to find her way.)

Vincent was aware of everything that was going on through their communications, his own communicator built into the Heads Up Display (HUD) of his helmet. He was quickly aware of Leif's rapid approach on them, followed by Oruks, as they appeared on his armor suit's Motion Tracking system. He quickly opened a comm link with Leif as he ran off in her direction at a speed that only another super soldier could match.

"Leif, you don't know me and all you need know about me is I'm called the Angel of Death, the rest you'll find out shortly. I'm coming in fast on your position, please don't be directly in front of me when I arrive."

It took him only a few moments to reach Leif, hopefully not slamming head on into her as he stopped dead in his tracks and opened up once more with his Heavy Bolter, taking the Oruks by surprise and likely thinning their numbers very quickly as they charged into a hail of explosive high-caliber shells. It should now be noted that, in his armor, Vincent stands a full eight feet tall.

Leif nodded, taking in the "Angel of Death"'s warning, and wasn't in front of him when he appeared, firing red oruk's into oblivion. Some red oruks survived and lumbered towards where she stood, but they were quickly dealt with. Only took 1 shuriken firing super-strength lazers, nothing big. Grabbing the shuriken she turned to the large man, noting his large suit of armour, littered with gadjets. "Impressive gear" She thought to herself, stuffing the shurkin into her special pocket.

Axe grabbed a speaker headphone he connected to his head, a large area radiochat he made himself ages ago. Instead of going with the joker and the angel he walked another route following a course to intercept the Red Oruk's in their tracks. "Lief, Joker,...Reaper, I am intercepting the red's you meet up" he ran, his "upgrade" making him even faster, the trees telling him the direction to go. "I can get used to this," he said smiling as he raised his axe and chopped an unwarry Oruk's head off, "probably a scout," he thought slowing down as a large group of strange Serpent-like beasts where sliding along a track. "What are they," he asked astonished that they could even survive out here.

Brendon tried hard to match Vincent's speed, to only completely fail. He caught up eventually though, and was absolutely thrilled to see his teammate still alive. "Leif! I was relieved to hear you and know that your still alive, but seeing it with my own eyes makes me...um...relieveder?" Brendon smiled at his horrible choice of word. Then Brendon got a message from Axe, that was recieved late. He saw from a distance that Axe was destroying Oruks. "I think it's easy to say we've had a rough day, we need to get some rest. By the way, anyone see Alacar?"

"They forgot about me the bastards," Alacar said looking out at the group departing. "Well i could always do with some survival skills," he said strapping the bow to his back and pulling out a jagged edged dagger.

After he waved off the new found allied he slowly walked across the plains honing his old army survival skills, lost years ago because of the new tech. He listened for a small piece of movement, even a small drop of sand could indicate an attack, he didn't know what was out here. He sat on a big sand dune to rest, the blazing heat making swirls in the air. He dropped his bow from his back and then he saw a twitch beside him, a slow trickle of sand. He kicked off the sand dune as a gapping jaw came crashing down to where he was moments before. The sand dune was in fact one of the giant serpents, and Alacar was about to be a dead man.

He looked towards his bow assesing the situation as the predator was most likely doing. His bow was to the left of the serpent covered in sand, he made his descision and pulled the dagger he only recently placed in his belt out, he taunted the snake, motioning for it to come forward. It lunged and Alacar slid out of the way and it crashed into a tree braking it in two. The path to his bow was open and he sprinted as the serpent recuperated, "Taste my plasma b****!" He yelled as he aimed and fired a yellow plasma arrow directly into the serpents head causing blood to rush out of it like a stream. "I think its time to find the others" he said pulling the little device that was the plasma arrow from the Serpents head.

Lief grinned. "I'm glad I'm alive, but quite frankily I shouldn't be." She pointed at the diminsihed Red Oruk army. "They kidnapped me, took me to some cave and tied me to the wall. If I was them, I would've killed me." Glancing back at Brendon, she shook her head. "No, I haven't seen Alacar at all. It is highly likely he could be dead, but, with his survival skills, I somewhat doubt it." She was distracted by a slithering sound, and spun around, noticing serpent like creatures. "What the hell are they!"

Brendon got into a defensive stance once seeing the serpent creatures. "I don't know but they don't look friendly," he said answering Lief's question. He grabbed a stick off the floor and poked one of the serpent-like creatures from a distance. The creature hissed at him. Brendon jumped back, scared of the thing. "Yup, definitely not friendly," he said. It started to crawl towards Brendon, who put on his SEBR. "Hold on big fella, don't want to be incinerated do you?" He asked although he doubted he could incinerate the creature.

Lief grimaced. "I've had enough if unfriendly monsters today." Pulling out one of her shuriken, she pressed the centre, then threw it high and straight at on of the large serpents. The lazers shooting from the shuriken tips simply where absorbed by the strange snakes, then the serpent opened it's mouth, reveaing sharp teeth, and swallowed the shuriken whole. "What the Hell!" Lief gasped. "Almost everything is affected by my laser shurikns, and this thing just rips 'em from the sky like they're dinner!" As she spoke, the serpent turned at hissed at them. "And I think we're next!"

Hearing the commotion behind him, Vincent turned about to see his squad mates about to be attacked by some very large snake creatures. He didn't bother to try and attack them with his Heavy Bolter, slinging it over his back and tightening the strap that was slung over his shoulder. He then moved to draw a blade which glowed bright and rippling, electricity sparking off of it as he flourished the weapon in his right hand, the blade stretching about six feet in length. He then drew a pistol-like weapon from a holster on his belt with his left hand and, aiming at the nearest of the heads of the snake creatures, fired a stream of super-headed plasma which quickly burned completely through the animal's head. It fell limp to the ground as he charged in towards the next of them, ready to tear it apart with his Power Sword.

"Yeah that works too," Brendon said to Victor. He whispered aside to Lief, "We might as well let him do all the work." He minimized his Super Evolved Brass Knuckles back normal brass knuckle shape and put it in his pocket. Watching Victor go after another serpent Brendon felt useless. "Well at least he makes our jobs easier." Brendon was glad for that. At least with Victor there was basically no chance of ending up like Wolfe. "We should really get going, Victor just ignore the serpents, lets run," Brendon said.
