Vicky was sulking in her room, along with her new friends. Rei, Ruby, and Jenny had just barely escaped from the mysterious "Tao King", saving Itsu in the process. However, Vicky had to wear an eyepatch while her old eye was cloned, which SUCKED.
"No fair! I always lose! My draws are terrible!"
"Don't worry, Rei! You'll get better."
"Anyone up for another round?"
"WILL YOU THREE CAN IT?!?!?" Vicky finally snapped.
"Jeez...we were just playing Go Monster."
"Go what?"
"Go Monster. We found pairs of monsters in Jenny's spare cards, so we decided to play a variant of Go Fish involving Monster Cards!"
"Mind if I watch a round?"
"Sure! Hey, Ruby! you wanna play?"

Walter leaned on the railings on the edge of the deck. He was quite close to the front, where the railing was curving to meet the bow, meaning he could see ahead quite easily. It had been quite a busy month, and heading to a major tournament seemed to be quite a fitting conclusion to it. Actually, he was stunned he'd been invited. He'd done moderately well in a few amateur tournaments, but he hadn't expected someone to notice him and invite him to this thing. He suspected it was because he was foreign, so he made the tournament seem more international in scope. He turned around to see who else was now aboard.

The Tao King's invitation was originally supposed to belong to someone else, but that person was sulking, wanting to know just how he lost his or her honor, even though he or she never really did, only everyone decided to think that. By most others, he could be recognized as the champion of a previous international tournament. He couldn't believe that those others had somehow got away from him. During the course of the month, he had gained enough negativity to act normally, but it wouldn't last. He needed to face a strong dark Duelist, and this tournament was sure to lure them all out. It always does.

Exodus had stolen her invitation from an innocent bystander. She couldn't miss in on the excitement, could she now? She was planning on inflicting pain to the toughest of Duelists. They would appear here. The thought of pain delighted her. Pain, chaos, destruction, that was what the tournament was about to become. She watched the swaying water as she approached her destination.

Yue walked up to the boat, keeping her cane out in front of her as she moved through the crowd. This was one advantage of her disability that she enjoyed the most, the fact that people moved aside for you so that you could move straight past them. It was something Yue enjoyed and felt gave her some form of power over regular people, or at least the polite ones anyway.

As Yue approached, she was was stopped by one of the guards at the entrance to the docks.
"Invite only miss," he said grufly, apparently under the impression Yue had lost her way.
"You mean like this?" Yue replied, handing the man an invitation.
The guard looked slightly bemused by the idea that a blind girl had recieved an invite to a tournament, but it seemed genuine enough.
"Right, err....Go on in then," he said uncomfortable.
Yue grinned as she walked past. Truth be told, the invite had been for her father but he was away on business so Yue had taken the invite instead, correcting the details with the help of a friend of hers to make it out to her instead.
Daddy never liked tournaments anyway, she thought So it would have just been a wasted invite.
