"Oh, you walk too fast," Cecilia protested, breaking into a little run to try and keep stride with him. "I was thinking of going more into the main city, see what exciting things are going on there. If nothing, then we'll have to find something better to do," she said, smirking. "But if you have ideas, let me know. I'm open to suggestions, even if I just shoot them down afterwards," she snickered.

A sudden thought came to mind. "Just how tall ARE you?" she demanded.

[color=gray]Jack chuckled, [u]About 6'7" or so last time I checked. Why do you ask, tiny?[/u] He asked the girl, smirking, [u]Why? How tall are you, like 4'11"? Maybe as much as 5'1"?[/u] He mocked, smiling brightly as he taunted her, evidently enjoying himself at her expense. He proceeded to pick up the pace a little and made Cecilia work to not fall further behind, to say nothing of actually keeping up with him, [u]Come on, if you don't give those tiny legs of yours a workout, how will you grow up to be big and strong like me?[/u] He teased, laughing silently at her growing frustration.[/color]

Vicky, the polite lady, curtsies towards Seiyu. [color=#800080]"Normally, the lady goes first, but I will let you go first instead."[/color]

Rei looked around for a Duel Runner, when she spotted a strange Duel Runner heading down the road. It was red and black, and only had one wheel. It was being pursued by a skeletal Duel Runner that looked like it was made from the bones of several dead creatures. The strange Duel Runner eventually passed Rei, and for a second, Rei saw the rider.

The two duelists continued down the road, swerving out of traffic, but no one else seemed to pay them any attention.
[color=#FF69B4]"Ruby, Ruby, Ruby! Did you see that? It was Itsu! She was dueling some strange zombie cowboy!"[/color]

Seiyu was surprised at how Vicky worded her decision but knowing her for so long he wasn't that fazed, he then drew his six cards and studied his hand, [color=blue]"I'll start by summoning my Saint Witch in attack mode and then I'll set two cards face down to end my turn."[/color] Seiyu had hoped to get a better hand but it was possible for him to make a move out of what he has but he was worried about what Vicky would counter with and what moves he could make next turn.

"Because you're like two feet taller than me," Cecilia grumbled as she strained to keep up. "And I'm 5'4''," she grouched, her mood darkening surprisingly quickly. Eventually she had to break into an outright run, and knowing her track record with running, this was not going to turn out well. Turns out, she went sprawling forward when her foot kicked a part of the road that was sloped upwards. She tumbled forward, managing to tuck her body enough to make her fall more graceful and dramatic, although the fall tore her black jacket, and her deck box fell off her hip, scattering the cards on the ground in front of her.

[color=red]"Ya, ya, big deal." Ruby said, flipping through her Deck, getting more and more worried as she continued, "Sh*t where are they?" She asked, "Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t! Where did you guys go?!" Her worry devolved into full blown panic as she flipped through the entirety of her Deck, "Rei, they're gone!" She told her 'friend' "My Neo Spacians are all gone..."[/color]

[color=gray]Jack mouthed a series of curse words and tried to catch Cecilia, though he ended up missing, [u]Are you OK?[/u] He typed out, [u]Can you stand? Is anything broken? Can you even read this?[/u] He typed out frantically, scrambling between getting her Deck more or less organized and looking over her to make sure nothing was bleeding and that all her limbs bent the right way.[/color]

In fact, Cecilia couldn't read what he was typing, but because she wasn't looking, rather than due to head injury or other forms of disorientation. She lay still for a minute or two, clearly conscious, but a bit stunned by the fall. She pushed herself up a little and almost instantly lost her cool, snatching up most of the fallen cards nearest to her with unnecessary defensive vigor, as if she was afraid of them being stolen. She flicked through the cards she held, reciting their names under her breath. "Skiel Top, Skiel Guard, Skiel Attack, Skiel Carrier...Sky Core..." she raised her eyes towards Jack.

"Which cards do you have?" she demanded, looking slightly deranged.

Rei fished around Ruby's pockets looking for something, until she exclaimed [color=#FF69B4]"I found it!"[/color] She withdraws a cell phone from Ruby's pocket, and dials the number "0".
"Yes, how may I help you?" Jenny answered from the other end.
[color=#FF69B4]"Ruby's cards are missing! Her Neo-Spacians are gone!"[/color]
"I'll check..." Jenny replied, walking off.
[color=#FF69B4]"Hurry..."[/color] Rei muttered, hoping Ruby wouldn't be mad that her phone was not only jacked, but also modified by Jenny into a phone that could connect back to the [i]Awful Lot of Running[/i] anywhere in space and time.

[color=gray][u]I don't know.[/u] Jack said, passing her the cards he picked up, all of which were face-down, [u]I want to know as little about your Deck as I can before I see it in action, so I'm not even looking at any of them. I just glance to see if it's face up, flip it over if it is, and add it to the stack.[/u] He looked at her again, worry and guilt vying for dominance over his face, [u]Are you sure you're OK?[/u] He asked again, [u]I'm so sorry. I should have remembered from earlier. Please forgive me?[/u][/color]

[color=red]Ruby was more worried about where fully half the residents of her soul vanished to to worry about her phone being revamped, "Rei, what am I gonna do?" She asked, "The Neo Spacians are literally part of my soul. What if I don't get them back? I don't know what's going to happen. No one in my family ever had this problem. They all kept their Spirits for their entire lives."[/color]

A bit ruder than possibly intended, Cecilia snatched the cards and flicked through them rapidly, a visible ripple of relief and calm coming over her face when she found the card she was worried about. She mixed the two piles of cards together and inserted them into her disk, pressing a button on the side. [i]Deck Count: 40[/i] At that moment, she relaxed completely. "Good, they're all here," she said, still breathing a little harder than average, from the run to her sudden stress. Losing her cards, especially one of her key cards, was something she was always afraid of doing, ever since she had been entrusted the legendary Machine Emperor Skiel, the most unappreciated of the Emperors, but her favorite. She never cared that the others were 'better'.

"It's fine, fine," she half-snapped, noticing the apologetic message a long time after it had been written. She wiped her brow with one hand. "Fine. I'm fine."

After waiting several minutes, Jenny finally came back on the phone.
"I'm sorry, Rei, but I looked high and low. Ruby's Neo-Spacians are gone."
[color=#FF69B4]"What exactly do you mean?"[/color]
"Put the phone on speaker."
Rei did so, and placed it between her and Ruby so they could both hear Jenny.
"Ruby, I scanned the ship for your Neo-Spacians, and all traces of their energy signatures are gone. Not even any residual energy remaining. They have, in essence, disappeared from reality. They never existed. On the other hand, check your Deck, because there is a new energy signature radiating from your Deck in the place of your Neo-Spacians."

As the Tao King walked by, he focused on his mental sensing ability and expanded it. Among them was a familiar presence. "....What's she doing? How did she get here?" Of course, he was referring to Rei, but he never knew that people outside himself and Protheus could travel through time and space. Answers were becoming unlocked even without the gods of Balance, but even so, that wasn't important right now. What was important was that he collected enough negativity. But just in case, he began following Rei's trail, although leaving his presence wide open.

If no winner is declared in five turns, the person with the most Life points wins." Kyosuke said still keeping his oh so neutral face. "Now that that's out of the way... I summon Axis Power-Northern Italian Republic."

Yue's Battlestorm let out a yell as a bold of lightning struck him, Kachu and Yue spell card and all three exploded, taking Yue's Baby Zoppe and Cocco Lupia with it.
[b][color="#008000"]"And since Fire Bird Swarming was destroyed, you now take 1400 points of damage,"[/b][/color] Yue said smugly as two fireballs shot from her side of the field and hit Kyosuke.
[b][color="#008000"]"I guess it's time to turn it up a notch,"[/b][/color] Yue said, drawing a card from her hand [b][color="#008000]"So I'll play my Pot of Avarice, returning Baby Zoppe, Cocco Lupia, Battlestorm, Explosive Soldier and Kachua back to my deck and draw two new cards."[/b][/color]

Suddenly the Holy Roman Empire's flag torn and crows flew out of it all over Yue as the duel ended. Kyosuke put all of his cards back in his deck, "Good game, Sorry, I didn't even catch your name, how improper of me." Kyosuke said "I'm sorry for before, I-I don't like people too much..." Kyosuke looked away. "Well... See you two later I guess." Kyosuke pus his hands in his pocket, turned around and began to walk away.[/color]

Marcelle happened to see the duel against Kyosuke and Yue, [i]That's just a lame deck that Kyosuke has[/i] he thought to himself. He turned to looking at Yue, [i]A burn-swarm player just like myself, eh?[/i] Marcelle then walked into a card shop near by and bought the "Feedback" pack that he had heard so much about. He had heard about them from the news and his parents, who work for Industrial Illusions.

As he purchased a pack of "Feedback", he didn't feel right. He didn't feel right holding the pack and he started to get anxious. He got more and more anxious as he started to open the pack and pulled out the first card. It was a Dark Synchro Monster. Suddenly, he had a horrible burning pain in his right arm, fell onto his knees and let out a faint scream, loud enough to Yue to hear him. He stood up and looked around to see if anybody noticed him. Gladly, nobody did so he pulled the right arm sleeve up and saw a strange mark on hid right arm that he didn't recognize at first glance, but soon understood. [i]Oh great, I'm a freaking Signer.[/i] he thought to himself as he threw away the cards that he just had bought.

Yue merely grinned broadly, replacing her cards back into her deck and deactivating her duel disk.
[b][color="#008000"]"Just like kids these days to rely on win conditions,"[/b][/color] she chuckled.
She turned about, wondering if Walter was still around. She hadn't heard him leave but then again she had been focused on a duel for the past few minutes.
[b][color="#008000"]"Well now that that's out of the way, perhaps we should..."[/b][/color] she paused, hearing somebody let out a small scream, her accute sense of hearing easily picking it up [b][color="#008000"]"Well, this is turning out to be an interesting day."[/b][/color]
She tapped a watch on her wrist and it beeped out the time. She frowned and shrugged, pulling out her cane once more and walking towards the direction the scream came from.

Marcelle was walking as he held his left arm on the mark, which was still throbbing and had the burning pain to it. [i]What the hell is wrong with this mark, I got rid of the Feedback pack, what else am I supposed to do?[/i] he thought to himself as he saw a bench and sat down. Marcelle noticed Yue near him as he sat down. [i]What does she want?[/i] "Can I help you?" he asked as he stood up, "May I offer you a seat?" he asked, "You're probably tired after the duel with that kid" he said whilst not mentioning anything about that she's blind.

Walter headed back over towards Yue, hoping he made enough noise that the girl would hear him - then again, he did the first time, so he had no reason to think she wouldn't this time.
"I don't know," he muttered to himself, "I mean getting a full destiny board out, or lasting long enough for final countdown to activate does need some skill." Yue, however, seemed to have headed off for some reason. Maybe she'd heard something he hadn't - after all, losing a sense was supposed to enhance the others, although he was never really sure how that was supposed to work for anything other than sight, or maybe hearing. He sped up a little to catch up, by which time someone else had jumped off the bench he was on and tried to be a gentleman.
[i]Hang on, how do I let her know I'm still here?[/i] he wondered. [i]It might be a little forward of me to out and say it, but how else will she know it's me?[/i]

She turned back in Walter's general direction, hearing him coming up behind her.
[b][color="#008000"]"Sorry about that,"[/color][/b] she said [b][color="#008000"]"In any case, if anybody did use a Final Countdown succesfully, it'd be a pretty boring duel."[/b][/color]
She turned back to the other person, recognizing his voice as the one she'd heard scream.
[b][color="#008000"]"Do you always make such a girly scream, or was this a one off?"[/b][/color] She asked, teasing the boy [b][color="#008000"]"What? I did say I was being nosy, didn't I?"[/b][/color]

"Hardy har har" Marcelle said as he sighed. "Anyways, I'm Marcelle Ferguson" he introduced himself. "I let off the faint scream because I had a very intense throbbing pain in my right hand. Turns out that I just might be a Signer" he said while letting off a large sigh. "When I got the pain in my hand, I was holding the Feedback pack that the people are talking about a lot these days, wanted to see what the hype was all about. I wasn't aware that I was a Signer before that nor did I have the mark on my hand that time. But yeah, it's there now and it's probably there to stay."
