Icy
Well, hopefully by my 19th Birthday I'll be enrolled in a college and have an internship somewhere if they have what I'd like to be a part of for work experience in that field. And well, I can't seem to decide just what to study. I have vast knowledge in a bunch of subjects and I find learning interesting so it's easy for me to catch on in a Classroom Setting (it can be emulated online as well). Art : I have extensive knowledge in all Art Mediums, including sculpting and metalwork. Not excluding Artistic Interpretation (my particular expertise), Photoshop, Painting, and recognizing mediums/tools used at mere sight. (Those on MSN like JG. and Jappio have actually seen this). Teaching : I have actually taught classes before when the Substitutes could not handle and would frequently walk around class or otherwise noticing people getting frustrated and help them in many ways. My friends who I have personally taught have said that my way to teach people is very wise while still getting them to understand without feeling overwhelmed. My mentor has also said this is true. Genetics : I actually do not have much knowledge here, however I do and am fully aware of what is possible without going into the deep specifics. However terminology and the like completely escape me. I have an interest in this field though, because of all the Death's around me in the past year and do not believe any of them to be justified. If I can help that even a little, I may pass happy. Politics : Aside from a few Laws and how their context is carried out, mostly due to limited access to such things. I often debate politics and how they could have handled situations using statistics and personal experience in manner. If not for sleeping issues I'd be keeping up with Up-to-date Events as well as names and be looking more into this. Veterinary Studies : I have a lot of knowledge in Animals, their behaviors as well as Vocal Sounds so much so I am able to imitate a majority of their vocal tones and communicate with them in their tongue. This makes a lot of things with helping animals much easier to understand and know how to react. Medicine : See; Genetics. So yeah... Help me out? .-. Icy
Bah Welche, I like helping people. Turning it into a Job just seems to kill the purpose.
Welche the crab
Defeat the purpose? Psychology isn't only about helping people. Also, if you want a job that doesn't help people, politics is they way to go.

Welche the crab
Nope, I know plenty of people in politics, I myself planning on it. I was just making fun of the stereotype.
CinnamonStar
Well the important thing is really what you like the most, many people around here have basic knowledge about something, but are really passionate about things and they pass the years fairly well. Most of the time you can pick more subjects so veterinary studies with medicine could be interesting. Or teaching + art, art + politics. Some people do crazy-ass all-over-the-place combinations like theology with molecular science. It's interesting and good if you really can't decide between 2 different "fields" but nothing for the lazy peoples.:3 I study history of religions with a focus on modern and personal religiosity, Tao, Paganism and ancient systems. Second subject is ancient history. I didn't know that it was possible to study these things and over the years I even forgot what I'm good at or want to do with my life. It was mostly a spur-of-the-moment "OMG do want~" decision but so far I've been really fine with it.:3 I don't know if it's the same everywhere but my bf is studying politics, and all he's shown me was mostly about the background of things, lots of theoretical stuff like theories of democracy but they don't get into actually debating systems or involved into politics at all. He told me that to go into the politics field you just need to come up with a program and try to get on the lists.=D
Icy
Much appreciated. The thing about art too is, a lot of the fields don't actually require degrees of any kind (they're basically training courses with fancy titles so it doesn't show skill AT ALL- you can have a doctorial in Art and still show less progress than a Kindergartner). So as long as I get a portfolio there, I'm set for whatever. And of course Politics requires field work and understanding, little degrees if at all (and rightfully so). I'll be on the lookout for things in both these fields however, as well as Veterinary stuff. Teaching honestly looks like the way to go, with Medicine being on the side of it all. You've stated that you have a vast knowledge in many subjects (which is good for teaching), You've already subbed for a substitute and you've even been told that the way you teach is wise. Hell you even teach me a few things I never knew about in our chats on MSN such as learning some of your language. You have all the right tools it takes to be a teacher, you're already quite knowledgable (...is that even a real word? o.o), you're caring and strict so yeah I say go for teaching. CinnamonStar
Well if you think you can do the big split between completely different subjects then sure, go with it. I have a lot of these splitters in some of my classes, sometimes it's interesting how they can keep up with it.xD And yeah teaching is usually the best if you're not sure at all, if you like art you can teach art one day or something else. MarbleZone
I can only speak from experience, anything else is me throwing guesses which probably isn't what you need: Medicine is extremely gratifying on a variety of levels. More-so because it is a very direct way of helping people. I don't get paid yet, since I'm not done with college in a way, but we're already doing clinic duty - while the sheer amount of information you have to know can be daunting, and it's frustrating not to have answers for some problems frequently, when things start making sense and fitting together, making a correct diagnosis is really satisfying. Adding that to actually watching people get better because of your intervention, it's a great career choice. The downside is that it's a very time-consuming job; I started dating a girl in my class back when I started college and nowadays we're worried about how a family life will be possible if we're both going to be constantly on duty. Take that into account if you're interested in Medicine - it's a tough choice (but not impossible) if you also want to invest heavily on your personal life. Icy
Yeah, I'm a very family oriented man and often reserve days for the family. And since the size of my immediate family is staggering (around 100 people in Waianae alone) that would make it difficult.
Welche the crab
Art: I don't see you saying that you can actually do art. Teaching: You seem to actually be able to do this. Genetics: Your showing no sing of actually being able to do this. Politics: Your skills seems to be well orientated to this. Veterinarian Studies: Not really sure what this means, if it is a vet, then you show no actual knowledge of how animals work on the inside. Medicine: See genetics. Icy
Because your reply stated something that was justifiably implied as "Even if I do not have knowledge here, I wish for it because of Interests". I welcome any reply, but don't be a fool about it. And Welche, you've shown no reason to be a fool in this kind of thing except to annoy someone.
