Not really. You should focus on its Defenses and Attack.

Better things to teach him, (Granted, not learnable in Gen III) would be Avalanche, or Ice Punch

Ones NOT to teach it are:
Special Attacks
Icicle Spear

^ dont forget ingame its not that big of a deal and do not forget that in Gen III the Special-Physical Spilt did not exist yet

but still i found blazekin the better option even early in the game. As become part fighting when it evolves it made beating 1st gym easy. the ability to learn peck made the 2nd gym easy. 3rd gym had 2 steel/electics so fighting move again and manetric had not so great defenses. and so on

Even on sapphire against team aqua blazekin murderized them because all of there water pokemon were part Dark(which was most of there team except crobat)

Did you even read? I said I know that it did not apply to Gen. III.

Actually, it DOEs matter in game. Aggron can learn Ice Beam... so, should it?

And i give aggron special attacks in Gen 3. And 85 Special Attack is not that bad when you compare it to others. Yes its mediocre but it was not terrible.
