DeathSDelano
but the graphics were still developing then. And remember the Game came before the anime. So its the anime that messed up 1st than the game just went with the anime XD
Grunt Issun
I still thought she was a red head the first time i played, and thats enough for me to have an ever lasting hate for her
DeathSDelano
That was not the game's fault that was the anime's fault for not giving her the red hair she had in the game XD
Grunt Issun
But she had brown hair in her battle sprite, only her feild sprite was lying

Clair
They needed to make Clair harder in HG/SS. =/ The hardest gym leader I've faced would have to be Whitney, actually. I beat her without a Machop, even when her Miltank spammed Milk Drink. ><
Fader
Nyeh, Whitney gave me hell but I never got stuck, just like that Ice girl on Saphire was tough at first but I overcame her.

Fader
Lol you need to ask the kids at my school, I have had trouble but never been stuck, You must be playing the game wrong or something. EDIT: On second thought I was stuck on Tate and Liza one time, I named 2 pokemon Tate sucks and Liza sucks...so that is
OnSlaUghT
Actually, the Elite 4 was easy in HGSS, I Calm mind sweeped with Mismagius. Lance was hard, but not too hard. Blue gave more trouble though, he landed 4 Crits
DeathSDelano
The E4 that is the big pain is the 1st Gen E4. You had to do some serious level grinding on it. I still remember the pain from RBY the 1st time i fought them. Now the E4 seems to be getting easier i mean the only challenge since than is Cythina's Garchomp which even that is easily taken out
Cin
Only gym leader I have trouble with is Clair. Kingdra just makes thing hard. Cipher Head Evice (Pokemon Colosseum) is hard when you're trying not to masterball Tyranitar
FTW (For The Wynn)
Well, I know what I did when I didn't have Gastly or Machop for Whitney's battle...I leveled up my starter. Back then I always chose Cyndaquil, and by the time I got to Whitney he was about a level 29+, or if I was really playing he was Typhlosion, level 38 or so. Either way, it was the same strategy, get rid of the other Pokemon quickly and then when Miltank comes out have Typhlosion use Smokescreen continuously until its accuracy is as low it will go, then let Flame Wheel finish it. 9 times out of 10 this strategy paid off in 1 go, so it works, but it requires you to have a really high level Pokemon at that point, so it takes time. Grunt Issun
Theres always a sure-fire, ownage starter, in the originals it was bulbasaur, then cyndaquil, I forget on r/s/e but on gen 4 it was chimchar

Turtwig was Ownage, just as much as Chimchar, if not more. And Piplup was not bad. This one... Gen V... I dunno. Tsutarja, if you it has Perversity/Antagonist, but otherwise one of the other two. Grunt Issun
But, infernape was a star choice for many teams on wi-fi matches
Blake
And? Blaziken is still better than Infernape. Infernape just has a bit more speed. Gen III were all good... but, I always used Sceptile and Blaziken. Never cared for Swampert, even though I chose Mudkip first.
Grunt Issun
Ok ok, I get it, but my point about the first two is still correct, bulbasaur and cyndaquil were the best starters of there games, at least thats how I remember it
OnSlaUghT
Actually Swampert was the best for gyms. Super effective against: Roxanne Flannery Tate Lisa Wattson and Winowa if you teach it Ice Beam
Blake
... Swampert's a Physical Fighter... Ice Beam is not a good idea. Super Effective =/= Best. Sceptile and Blaziken are better than Swampert, in the end.
