Chiodos

I went back like four pages to see if this was posted, but I didn't see anything so I'll post it! I don't know if anyone here listens to Chiodos and I may get flamed because they're not "teh HxC deth metullll", but oh well. Chiodos just put out a new album not too long ago, "Illuminaudio". I must say, for a band that plays a genre that typically isn't my cup of tea, this album is INCREDIBLE. I guess they're best described as post-hardcore? I don't know. Anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone else here listens to Chiodos or has heard their new CD.

I've always liked [i]Chiodos[/i]' music, but I couldn't stand Craig Owen's voice. Brandon Balmer sounds much more capable and less whiny, this album sounds like it'd be worth buying.

I'm one of those guys that likes metal, so post-hardcore isn't generally my style, though every now and then a band will show up that's worth my time. I think the reason I don't generally like it as much is because so many bands have exhausted the genre, and many of them sound the same.

I don't think anyone will ever sound like [i]Opeth[/i] or [i]Underøath [/i] though.

I'm one of those guys that likes metal too. That's why I was so surprised that I enjoyed this album as much as I did. I'm not really a post-hardcore type guy, but I've found a few bands that I actually enjoy.
