I have spend more time to find good picture to use for my cards (and i also modified the image, ex. i have find this picture and i customizied it. The result was this: .) Instead, my opponent as well as choosing an image of poor quality, he didn't even put a decent background, and he left a white background (with an horrendous writing on show). This is a joke, my cards are much more real than its cards (it have also Justified Text). Sorry, but a winner that puts images in random it is ridiculous that he win. FTW (For The Wynn) Posted October 25, 2010 Report Share Posted October 25, 2010 I'm not going to explain how I vote entirely and I have no idea how the other judges vote, but images play a small part in how most people rate cards for contests. For me, I focus more on effects and how playable a card is more. I will tell you though that during the judging you two were...extremely close. That's all I'm going to say about that. I'm just gonna say, I'd rather have a card with a crappy image and a good effect than one with the best picture in the world and an effect that sucks. This is only one contest, and there are many other opportunities. In addition, you're a new member, and coming in 2nd is already really good. Instead of thinking negatively, you could look at it in a positive view. You competed alongside 15 others and came in 2nd. That means you did better than 14 of them. Plus, seeing someone come in before you can also motivate you to do better. Now, lastly, a card is not all about appearance. Though the picture plays a part in the judging of a card, so do other things, such as creativity, OCG, balance, and playability. Just thought I'd let you know. Alright, I think I've ranted enough.
