Mysterium Tremendum
New Watercrest city... a peaceful city at first glance, abundant with lively people that never seem to sleep. Restaurants that are always open, tall buildings make the city seem safe and secure, bars that serve all night, and a plethora of activities and amusement parks. With Tourists and locals flocking to the city for the fine hotels and historical sites that lay along the coastline, the town can indeed seem like a paradise, but every paradise has its dark secrets. Whether in the dead of night or in the light of day, a war rages endlessly between the forces of the Vampires and packs of the Werewolves over control of the city. The fighting is merciless, with Werewolves and Vampires having bloody fights in the back alleys while maintaining the secrecy that has made both sides infamous. The searching and constant state of awareness prompt both sides to be ever aware, whether it be in school or in a quiet restaurant, you can always see them with the constant scrutiny in their eyes. Now you will join this war, as either a Blood-thirsty Vampire or a Battle-Ready Werewolf.

Basic Info o Vampires and Werewolves resemble ordinary humans when not in their true forms and are able to walk in day. o Half-Blooded Vampires are harder to detect than Purebloods. If someone is inexperienced, they might not even notice them. The trade-off is that their stamina recovers slower than a Pureblood o True Form - Pure Vampires grow longer hair and their eyes turn red. In their True Form, Half-Blood Vampires gain silver hair and their eyes become mismatched. One eye resembles the color they had as a human while the other is red. In their True Form, Vampires reach the peak of bloodlust. Their abilities are enhanced, but using this power exhausts the Vampire faster and killing them if overused. - Pure Werewolves gain claws and a more feral appearance. Their sense of smell increases and their vision also becomes clearer. In their True Form, Half-Blood Werewolves also gain mismatched eyes in addition to regular increases and appearance changes. Overusing this power causes loss of rational thinking, and can lead a werewolf to attack anyone and anything. If overused further, the Werewolf dies from overexertion. Common powers and Specializations Vampires and Werewolves are both able to detect friends of the same species on sight. They are only able to sense the presence of the opposite but not who they are exactly. Both are also immune to bullets so guns are never used. In order to maintain their secrecy, both can also erase the memories of humans to protect their secrecy. Also, if a regular human is bitten willingly, they can become a Vampire / Werewolf Half-blood and share the powers of the one who bit them although this is rarely done. Most Werewolves and Vampires do their recruiting with people in the back alleys that have very little to live for since being a Werewolf or Vampire is a life of constant vigilance. Vampire Specialization Powers o Blood Manipulation Some Vampire Powers require sacrifice. Vampires specializing in Blood Manipulation revel in the sacrifice and rituals that pervade this powerful art. In order to use the majority of Blood Manipulation attacks, the user is required to give a varying portion of blood to fuel the attack or cause their enemy to bleed to varying degrees and conduct a ritual with it. Blood Manipulation techniques wear out users variantly, depending on how much blood and energy is needed for an technique. Blood Manipulation is well-balanced albeit all to most of the techniques require a blood tribute. o Shadow Manipulation Shadow Manipulation uses energy from Shadows for its offense and defense. Shadow Manipulation uses a moderate amount of energy for its techniques and does have a leaning towards sneak attacks by using Shadows and mixing a Vampire's own energy with the Shadows. o Animal Manipulation Vampires that prefer attacking with pets choose Animal Manipulation. Vampires with Animal Manipulation control a maximum of 3 animals for use in combat and revolve their powers around the animals they use. It uses up the minimal amounts of energy to summon animals, but the animals act like puppets to the Vampire, meaning that the farther away the owner is, the harder it is to control the summoned animals. It also requires the owner be completely focused on controling the animals, also discouraging a Vampire doing another task to avoid losing control and causing the animals to disintegrate or lose control. The amount of concentration needed is relative to the amount of animals that are being manipulated. Animal Manipulation is a flexible specialization but is more well-equipped to fight in medium to long-range combat. Imaginary animals are allowed, but explain them and no giants. Werewolf Specialization Powers o Bone Manipulation Werewolves working to manipulate the bones in their bodies for offense and defense. Uses minimal amounts of energy and good for either long range or short range combat. Bone Manipulators are often well-balanced in both attack and defense but not favoring either one. Harboring vast amounts of creative potential, Bone Manipulation is usually utilized by the creative Werewolf Abomination Change Sacrificing looks for pure power, some wolves choose to unlock their pure battle power in exchange for being forever changed. Werwolves who have undergone the Abomination change ritual bear a sigil resembling an eye on their right or left hand. When the sigil is engraved on the Werewolf, they become forever changed. Markings appear across their bodies and faces and make them seem like tribal warriors. Their brute instinct comes to surface and their combat prowess increases. In exchange, Abomination Wolves lose the ability of changing into their "True Forms" instead prefering to stay in the middle and attempt to master combat itself and purposely separating themselves from society. Abominations also gain a few abilities and attacks that aid them in battle though all to most of their abilities revolve around utilizing their heightened battle prowess for swift and deadly strikes. o Force Manipulation Short-ranged and powerful, Werewolves skilled in Force Manipulation are able to affect the gravity within a small area sphere around their body to amplify their attacking powers. Werewolves that use Force Manipulation burn up their energy the fastest of all the Specializations. The Gravity sphere that surrounds them is always present but usually turned down when not in combat. Force techniques requires moderate to high amounts of energy and thus is not good for long battles but deadly effective in short-range and surprise attacks since Force uses up a good amount of energy.

o All regular Yugioh Roleplay Forum Rules are in effect, thus none of the common infringements are allowed. o Break a Rule, and you will receive a nice warning. Break a Rule twice, and you will receive a nice expulsion. o I expect participants to be active, at least inform me if you cannot be. o To prove you have read these rules, add a random word in Impact font at the end of your App, or at least acknowledge this statement o Romance... is encouraged. Adds some twists and possibilities to the plot. o Have Fun and don't be afraid to be creative.

o Name: o Age [Both live to be much older than humans but not immortal] - Purebloods: 130 years max age - Half-Bloods: 110 years max age o Personality [3+ lines] o Appearance: - TekTek Avatar - Image - Description [3+ lines] o Specialization [See Powers and Info Spoiler] - If Animal Manipulation, name and describe [if necessary] animals. o Techniques (Spoiler) - Be creative, so long as they are within your Specialization. o Weapon (optional) o Bio (Spoiler) Include - Pure-Blood or Half-Blood? - Any additional information
o Name: Alban Segura o Age: 20 o Personality: Lost and power-hungry. Alban is considered insane by most other Vampires. His only goal is to kill as many werewolves as possible. He approaches problems recklessly and is generally not very well liked, even when Vampires spot him most find it better to avoid him altogether as if he was an enemy. He has completely given up on most other things besides basic necessities and continues drowning in blood and hunting. o Appearance: o Specialization: Blood Manipulation o Techniques
Bloody Fang The user bleeds and than turns the spilled blood into spikes that pierce upward. Maximum height of spike is 2 ft and requires a large sum of blood for the attack to be effective. Blood Wound The user sends a mass of blood swirling toward an enemy from a large open wound on the user's hand. The blood slowly corrodes and melts whatever it contacts. Requires a varying amount of blood and bleeding depending on how much blood was expelled. Blood Mark Utilizing the power of a mark drawn in blood on the Vampire on the day they began to manipulate blood, Blood Mark becomes Alban's primary form of attack. The Blood Mark on Alban allows him to interact with Blood Marks drawn on his body or an object and has several different forms that affect the land and have different effects based on what mark is drawn: - Bloody Hand: Drawing the "Bloody Hand Marking" in blood on his body or on an object, allows Alban to create a stretching blood hand from the marking and control it. - Blood Trap: Drawing the "Blood Trap Marking" in blood on the ground or a part of his body prepares a trap for the next person who steps on the marking or touches it on Alban's body to be immobilized in chains of blood. Other Marks are also possible, but these are Alban's favorite and most used. Eulogy of Blood Drowned in the power of blood, Alban is able to manipulate the blood in his body to create a sword out of pure blood. Whenever the sword cuts something, a bit of Alban's blood gets into the wound, usually causing extreme numbness around the cut area as well. Blood Shadow After studying several Shadow Vampires, Alban has learned to hide himself in blood. Due to blood often being poisonous and hard to hide in, Alban is able to hide in a puddle of blood but must keep his mouth and nose above the surface at all times. Bloody Tentacula Spilling a moderate sum of blood, Alban is able to turn them into 5 7ft long tentacles. The attack is initiated by drawing a circle in blood around the user. The Tentacles can then emerge from the line of the circle and stay as long as Alban is within the confines of the circle.
o Weapon: Alban carries a silver longsword with a red hilt and black guard. o Bio
Alban was born a full-blood Vampire. His father manipulated blood and his mother manipulated Shadows. Both of them died in an infamous battle with the wolves that Alban never recovered from and began falling into the Vampire lines as soon as he was old enough and intelligent enough to take up Blood Manipulation.

- Hydra of Legend - Pikaperson

-

If you happen to think of any specializations, catch something I've missed, or have a question, inform me and I'll think and answer it accordingly. WANTED: Specialization ideas If you happen to think of an idea for a specialization that you think might go well with this RP, let me know. The specializations that are present took me about an hour to think of and right now I have no more. I don't want Vampires and Werewolves throwing ice and fire at each other so I've strayed away from such magical powers and I suggest you do the same. Hydra of Ages
o Name: Cyura o Age: 39, physically (and likely mentally) about 22 o Personality: Cyura is practical, dry, witty and above all, rather lazy. She worth ethics are shot to all hell, and she often finds it difficult to concentrate on monotonous tasks for any length of time. She has common sense, which is always helpful and stops her from making ridiculously stupid moves, and doesn't hesitate to point this out when she hears utterly ridiculous things said. Generally friendly, Cyura gives little thought to anything she does. She doesn't dwell on the past, or worry about the future beyond what would be logically sound. Strangely enough, she doesn't have any particular hatred for vampires; she hunts them largely as a hobby to pass the time. o Appearance: Cyura naturally appears as a twenty-two year old woman, with long red glossy hair that goes partially down her back. She has large hazel eyes and an angular face with a pointed noise and slight chin, possibly giving the impression that she's younger than she actually is; even more so, really. She's average height for a woman, about five foot seven inches, with a slender body frame that doesn't seem particularly thick or straight in any particular area, as if she were made from a more flexible material than bone. She has a slight bust and chest-shoulder size, and her body naturally flows downward into her legs. She has smaller feet and hands, and slightly longer limbs than would be average. Her clothes, while obviously changing from day to day, are generally suited to the matter at hand. Usually, she wears dark greens, light tans, yellows and browns or reds, and doesn't care for anything overly restricting or expensive. Most of what she wears allows her total freedom of movement and won't impede her in any way. Her hair is often tied back in some way if she's not going for a social interaction, and she doesn't bother with any other sort of aesthetics. If she's out vampire hunting or predicting violence, she often wears black, somewhat tighter clothing that won't catch and leaves her hair unbound. o Specialization: Bone Manipulation
Limber: Cyura changes the consistency of her bones to the point 'double-joined' doesn't even begin to cover it. Her bones have a large amount of give before they break, and are easily isolated, allowing her to squeeze through very small spaces and escape any sort of bonds with relative ease, using Houdini-like body contortions. This also allows her to preform stunning acts of acrobatics, and even out the force impact to survive almost all falls, no matter the height. Sabers: Claws are made from a similar material as bone. Extending them forward and sharpening them, Cyura can made her claws several feet long, to the point they resemble several scimitars or longswords attached to her claws. These bones are not brittle, and are extraordinarily sharp; getting hit by them hurts. Regeneration: Cyura can knit the bones within her body together with ease, and through manipulation of the marrow within them, can increase her blood cell count to replace lost fluids and hasten clotting. This is a rather slow process, and aside from mending bones, takes too long to be useful in combat. Iron Jaws: Cyura can manipulate her teeth into sharp, nigh-unbreakable fangs that can tear through solid metal if necessary. While not necessarily comfortable, these jaws can be useful for dangerous biting techniques, or cutting through barriers if there's no other option. Arts: In combination with Limber, Cyura can pull her bones in any direction and almost any velocity. This allows her to preform an odd sort of martial art that includes a lot of dodging, flips and strikes in odd directions or at strange angles. This makes her a rather difficult opponent to predict, considering she doesn't necessarily need to strike from a direction that her joints aim in.
o Weapon: Cyura carries two thin blades kept on thin straps on either of her thighs, which are just for emergencies when she's not in her wolf form. In general, she prefers to fight with her bare fists, claws or her sabers if necessary. That is the only weapon she carries, however.
Cyura was transformed as a young child, around the age of eight. An orphan who fell through the cracks, she'd lived on the streets under a variety of impromptu-parents, many of which who were street whores, drug deals, pimps or gangsters. She was passed between various parents, often abused in various ways before she even hit the age of ten, before a werewolf transformed her. She doesn't know the wolf that changed her, or why he did it, but she is inclined to believe he changed her out of kindness. As a werewolf, she was able to pull herself from the gutters she'd been born into, and live a relatively ordinary life around a dedicated family. She barely recalls her childhood, and doesn't really have any bitterness towards it; indeed, she often feels it's more dreamlike than an actual memory. She was never particularly interested in killing vampires, and indeed was hesitant to slay her first one. It got easier after a while, largely after she witnessed the atrocities that they preformed on ordinary citizens (admittedly, Werewolves do the same, but she doesn't notice that as much). For the past while, she's been living in a small apartment nad largely hanging out with her people over the nights to pass the time. She has a job in a convenience store, which she considers neutral ground; she serves vampires there with no problem, so long as they offer her the same respect.
Hidden Ruleproofs are entirely pointless. If someone manages to make an application that shows knowledge of the RP on a whole and you don't have any ridiculously outlandish rules that would screw people up if they never read it, there is no reason to trip up people who scan the rules, realize they're the exact same as every other RP in existence, and continue on making their app. Hell, a much better way is making the applicator quote a rule in their app, because then you actually make them read at least something of relevance there. A personal pet peeve of mine, but there you go.

Catterjune

o Name: Karen Laminar o Age: 29 o Personality: An air of confidence befitting a young socialite. She carries and ever present "holier-than-thou" vibe to her. However, her pride is not a show of arrogance, as the woman is quite competent. Her wit, charm, and hard working attitude are as sharp as the rose covered blade she wields in battle. o Appearance: An average woman of average build. Dark brown hair reaching the nape of her neck and blood red eyes. On normal, day-to-day events she can be seen wearing business suits and designer outfits. Her ears also don't look abnormal, and neither do her teeth. When in her vampire form, her hair does not fade to white, nor does it get longer, as she is merely a half-blood with weaker powers. Other then slightly larger canine's, pointed ears (to help her hear better) and sprouting of wings which may or may not actually help her fly any faster, she looks mostly similar. However, she typically dons an elegant, gothic-like ensemble like the one pictured above. o Specialization: Shadow Manipulation o Techniques:
- Tonality: The girl can travel through shadows, and can end up just about anywhere. However, she can only teleport into and out of places where her body is completely shrouded in darkness, unable to be seen. This power can further be enhanced by reaching into shadows and pulling out items, almost always her blade. - Recapitulation: Her shadow can become it's own entity and travel about, disturbing other objects just by disturbing their shadow. If you've ever seen the Princess and the Frog, it's rather similar to Dr. Fasciliar's power. It only works within close range.
o Weapon: Her weapon, seen in the picture, is a four foot long blade with elegant flowers upon the base, as though it were a bouquet. She is a skilled swords-woman, which is good because the rest of her powers are rather lacking. o Bio:
The girl was an average college student, majoring in business with a minor in mathematics, when she met a handsome, suave, man with long white hair and dark red eyes. Little did she know, until about a week or two later, that he was an undead creature of the night. This detail didn't reach her, until after they had begun dating, and after she had become vampire-ified. Now a half-blood vampire, the woman was rather upset with her vampire suitor, but we'll save that story for another day. After a year or so of struggling, her and her male vampire had put the past behind them and were, for the most part, on speaking terms and friendly. At the age of 22 she graduated and began to take up fencing at the insistence of the male vampire that had charmed her. He warned her that someday she'd need to use her sword, but she mostly dismissed it. They were married later that year. At the age of 23, he was viciously murdered by a pack of werewolves. Distraught, and not much else to do she tried to focus her strength and energy on her work. She became an investment banker, all the while continuing her swordsmanship. Promotions eventually followed throughout the next years, and now at the age of 29 she stands as a manager of a local, small time bank. Due to her job, she is quite a bit well off, however since she focused most of her life on banking and swordplay, her vampire powers hadn't really gotten much work... Until, presumably, today!
Am I doing this right?

Mysterium Tremendum
@Hiromax lol, The ideas from here originated from Cirque Du Freak, but I added in a lot of things. I need to put the app on hold for a moment before I accept since there is a few things you overlooked. 1.) I put in a rule to ensure people have read them, so you need to look that up. 2.) Techniques is the attacks and things you can do using your Specialization. Since your Specialization is Bone Manipulation, you should only be able to manipulate bones and controlling people might be GMing. 3.) I do not like Werewolves and Vampires using guns, so I did outlaw those. Reason is because they're supposed to be silent creatures not using guns. 4.) I'd prefer a longer personality, it will give us all a better idea of how you're character behaves. Your Bio does spark an idea I've been working on. Ever read Cirque Du Freak? Its where most of my ideas for this RP came from. I've been thinking of adopting the hierarchy that the Vampires had in Cirque Du Freak where both councils will be comprised of Generals that can ascend to Prince if voted so but I think that might be a little boring. For that reason, I'd like to hear ideas on a Hierarchy for both the Vampires and Werewolves.
