Kinata stood up after hearing someone or something had set off Diachi's traps. She wanted to fallow but thought of a better way then just rushing in. She looked up at Nura raising an eyebrow. Nura nodded and took off to the village. The bird cirled arounf the village twice and then looked down at the place Diachi and Wiz had headed. She sighed seeing it was just the team's sensei. She turned around and headed back to Kinata before landing. "It was Arashi who set of the trap.", Nura reported. Kinata sighed smiling, "Figures it was a false alarm. At least it wasn't something to worry about." She reached up and grabed a leaf from a low enough tree branch before twirling it in her hand.

Daichi sighed in disappointment. "You know how good my plan is at setting up traps and yet you still strolled in to a village filled with them? Are you sure you're a ninja?" He glanced around a bit, the entrance to the village was almost 200 yards away. "One things for sure, you are one lucky bastard to make it this far. But making it all the way requires a lot more than good luck. After all, some of my traps are set so that they would be difficult to avoid even if you know exactly where the chakra threads are."

"You know, you really should tell us where the traps are placed. If we have to go in here during the battle then knowing where to step will be a necessity."

"I was already planing on that. I can use genjutsu to send a map of the traps in to your minds, that way you know where they all are. But it's not my specialty, so it's gonna take a while."

Kinata was board out of her mind waiting for Kasumi to return the kid. It was getting closer and closer to the meeting time but so far no sight of anyone. For a breif moment she thought about going up to relieve Sorin from lookout duty but chose to check her medical supplies instead. Once everthing seemed in order with her supplies Kinata replaced everything in her bag. She stood up and looked at Nura, "I'm going to find a secluded space and set up a barrier before comming back. Just in case the battle turns nasty...we may need one we may not. Just another procaution." Then Kinata fallowed a slightly worn trail and came to a small clearing. She set everything down and inspected the area, "Not too far but not too close. Large enough...not a bad place at all." The chunin then started to set up the barrier.

After he and Arashi where out of the rain village Daichi took a seat under a tree and pulled out a scroll. On the scroll there was a hand drawn image of the Rain village, with hundreds of lightly shaded lines moving across the page. Unlike the other drawings Daichi had made this one was drawn by pencil and had very little detail. The small lines where the positions of all the traps Daichi had made. This particular drawing was supposed to turn in to a genjutsu so that his teammates would know where all of the traps are set, but because he sucked at Genjutsu he was going to need a lot of chakra.

It took awhilr but Kinat finally had the barrier up. She smiled at her work satisfied. Then she headed back to Nura. Kinata returned and sighed before lezning against the bird again. What could have been taking them so lng? Giving up she decited to find Diachi. She looked around but gave up when she didn't see him. "I'll just stay here then. Where is everyone though?"

After about an hour Daichi rolled up a scroll and picked up three more scrolls, from the ground, which he had already finished. "I'm finally finished. I just hope Arashi-sensei has enough brains to know that he's supposed to avoid the traps and not run in to them." He laughed as he pictured Arashi purposely setting off a trap. "Lets hope he's more serious when he's fighting." Daichi picked up Wiz who, had been rolled on the ground sleeping next to him. "I guess I'll let him sleep. He's earned that much at least." He smiled and slid Wiz in to his weapon pouch. "Now where are the others?""

--I'm about to do a time lapse here if no one is on aside from us by Monday morning--

Kinata snuck up behind Diachi and tapped him smiling. "Hey you're back. I guess your genjutsu worked because I have a mental map of all the traps now. Anyway be carefull because not to far from here I set up a defense barrier that only I can get through because you have to use a certain jutsu and a seal. Complicated but fairly safe just in case we get into an ugly battle again." She looked around searching for the others but she couldn't find them anywhere. Sorin was still in the sky keeping a lookout and she guessed their sensei was still in the Rain ruins someplace. "So. Do you have any idea what could be taking these guys so long?"

  • 2 weeks later...

(damn, nobody posting. Anyways, my computer was supposed to be in the shop for a week but the guy was sick, so it's gonna be ANOTHER week before i get it back. I'll try to come to the library when i can.)

Daichi jumped and turned around in surprise, almost dropping Wiz, when Kinata taped him. After realizing it was Kinata he sighed. "You should be careful sneaking up on people like that." He looked around and noticed that nobody ells was there, he had been so preoccupied he hadn't notice anybody leave. "That's good, I'm not very good at genjutsu so i was worried it wouldn't work. And good plan with the barrier." He returned to the ground, grabbing Kinata's hand and pulling her down with him. "We still have about an hour before they are supposed to show up. And if they don't show up then there gonna wish they where on the losing side of the fifth ninja war when me and Kurei get done with them." In most cases even hinting that he would allow kurei to fight was rare, but today he would not hesitate if it meant getting the kid back.

Cought slightly off gaurd Kinata ended up on the grass yet again. She sat up and eyed Diachi. "Ok so I'll have to deal with Kurei's comments and atitude for awhile. Big deal. And I've seen Kurei fight before sothat's not a biggie either. Honestly Diachi I swear you worry about things waaay too much.", Kinata added the last part with a playfull grin. Then not thinking and without caring or realizing it Kinata rested her head on Diachi's shoulder hoping their sensei wasn't someplace watching. "Wake me in an hour and next time remind me to listen to Nura ok? Keeping six large birds in the air at once for a long period of time...not a good plan." Kinata closed her eyes and fell asleep almost instently.

Daichi smiled at Kinata. "Maybe your right. I guess Kurei's not that dangerous. I just don't like his blood-lust." Daichi lied though his teeth, not wanting to say the real reason he kept Kurei sealed away whenever possible. When Kinata rested her head on his shoulder Daichi felt as if his heart stopped beating for a moment. After a moment he placed his arm around Kinata and leaned his own head against the tree behind him. He closed his eyes and limped his muscles, to anybody watching he would have looked asleep, but he was actually awake. He had learned a long time ago that closing your eyes while resting made a shocking difference in how much energy he could save. And, with only an hour or so to go, he did not want to fall asleep and risk being attacked.

Back in the rain pouring area Arashi was far from tired, well far from sleeping anyways. He had been practicing on avoiding the traps while still being rabble to fight if need be, it didn't take him long to realize that the rain on the ground would only make things harder. Normally he would use his sword to move the water, but concentrating on avoiding the traps and fighting at the same time was as good as he could do at the moment. He landed on the ground panting, his left foot was on the toes because three of Daichi's chakra strings hand intersected to form a triangle where his foot was. Arashi looked around, he had a hard time believing that anybody could make such thin chakra strings and be able to create an attack as powerful as the trap he remembered setting off earlier.

------------ok since nobody else is posting...AGAIN!!...I'm doing a time lapse here----------------

Kinata's eyes fluttered open and she was only vaguely aware of Diachi's arm around her. She fully opened her eyes and shifted slightly felt better then she had felt before. Nura had disappeared by now and she looked around. It had gotten dark in the hour since she had fallen asleep. Kinata scanned the area in search for any of the rouge shinobi that took the kid and Roya or the two captives themselves. No sign. Kinata's eyes narrowed, 'Only goes to show you can't trust an enemy shinobi no matter who they are or what they say. No we have to fight.' Carefully Kinata stood up and dusted herself off. If these rouges weren't going to listen to their own terms then what choice did the Leaf troop have but to fight and take both the kid and Roya back by force? Kinata looked down at Diachi, "Diachi get up."

"I am already up." Daichi smirked as he climbed off the ground and stood next to Kinata. "Looks like Arashi decided to join us." Daichi noticed that Arashi was sleeping next to a boulder not far from them. He had a few minor bruises and cuts from his training, but nothing big. "Guess he got worn out." Daichi strolled over and nudged Arashi with his foot. "Sensei, wake up. It's time for an invasion and, sadly, your the leader." Arashi opened his eyes slowly. "So they didn't show up?" He didn't seam at all surprised when Daichi shook his head. "Guess all of those traps where pointless. Sorry I had you set them up Daichi." Arashi got up and dusted off his pants. ""Looks like we're bringing the fight to them."

"It's not like it's much of a surprise. At least we know the way to the base and the fact that Diachi got past one of the barriers. The problem is going to be getting past that second and any more they may have in place. Not to mention I'm willing to bet their hideout is an alaborate laberinth of tunnels and doors with a few booby-traps thrown in for good measure. There could also be a couple of back enterences and exits. We need to somehow manage to find the kid and Roya without running in cirles and avoiding the enemy at nearly all costs. How though?" Kinata stoped and thought for a moment.

"I guess we know which parent you got your personality from." Arashi mumbled as he stretched his arms. "Its useless to worry, I don't intend to avoid any fighting. We're going to capture every last one of them and drag them back to the leaf village as prisoners." He cracked his knuckles and smirked. "Besides that, I have a fight to finish with that water user." Daichi sighed under his breath. "As much as I hate to admit it, Arashi is right. They are going to know we're there as soon as we start removing barriers, so there is no point in trying to hide from them." He paused for a moment. "But this is all assuming that they are still there. 24 hours is more than enough time to get out of a base and far away from here."

"Then we better get moving so they don't get a chance to move if they are still there." Seeing both men were obviously not concerned about sneaking in Kinata decited to give up and top ahead of her self. What was the use of trying to convince someone of something if they weren't planning on sneaking around in the first place. Besides ,aybe these people knew something about what happened to the Hidden Rain village. OF course the kunochi knew that it was highly unlikely but still if they had a chance to get a lead on what happened then there was no point in not taking advantage of that. Right? Kinata started heading in the general direction of the rouge's base, "Here we go again.", she sighed under her breath.

Daichi wanted to say something to Kinata, so cheer her up a bit, but he was busy conversing with Kurei about there plans when they get to the base. "My clones are completely gone, so there's no way I would be able to use those to remove the tags. Should we just try to destroy the barrier? Even if it's strong, it has to have a limit." Daichi asked his alter ego. "Those barriers are strong, your meteor strike won't do much against it. In fact I don't think any of your techniques would be strong enough." Daichi shook his head. "Who ever said anything about my techniques?" It didn't take long for Kurei to realize what Daichi was saying. "Are you Insane?! You want me to use THAT? To break a barrier? Daichi, you know what that does to you!" Daichi didn't seem to pay Kurei's warning any thought. "Do you think it would be strong enough?" Kurei grunted, obviously not happy about being ignored. "Maybe. I'm not really sure."

Kinata noticed Diachi seemed a bit preocupied though she had no clue why. "Hey Diachi. Sorry to interupt your and Kurei's little chat but we're pretty much at the base now.", she looked back over her shoulder. All of a sudden it seemed like something was bothering the chunin. Kinata had no idea what it could be but guessed it was still the thought of turning Kurei lose. She shook her head wondering when Diachi was going to get over that little fact. Kurei was just as much her teamate as Diachi so the kunochi really didn't care. And by now she knew exactly how to handle the more mouthy side of the Leaf shinobi so she didn't see a big deal. In fact by that point it was Kinata felt it was allmost a game between her and Kurei. So much so that if the two didn't arguee anout something or get on eachother's nerves something was definetly wrong big time. Kinata ended up shrugging it off and turned to Arashi, "I'll go check out ahead sensei. Be back in a sec." Kinata gave a little burst of speed and shot off ahead of the two men to make sure the barriers were just as they had left them previously...with one down. It would certainly cut the team's work in half.

"Be careful." Arashi said as Kinata jumped past him. "Don't do anything reckless." Arashi new that if Kinata was anything like her dad then her warning had gone on deaf ear, but he hoped not. Daichi quickly snapped out of his conversation with Kurei when he heard that Kinata was going ahead of the group. He opened his mouth to object, not wanting her to go in to enemy territory alone, but he quickly shut his mouth. Daichi had learned a long time ago that being over protective of girls, especially ninja girls, would not lead to anything good. "If you need any help then just yell. I'll be there in a flash." Daichi yelled behind Kinata, not even sure if she was still close enough to hear him anymore.

Kinata stoped when she reached the barrier releived to see that the first one was still destroyed. Carefully she walked up to the still standing second barrier. She casually inspected the second boulder expecting it to be reinforced in some fashion. But it wasn't. Noticing a small crack just big enough for a small bird to fit through Kinata performed her summoning jutsu and a sall raven appeared. It flitted through the hole and into the base. "Sensei it's all clear here. The first barrier is still down and the second doesn't seem to be reinforced with anything.", she radioed in to the rest of the team.

"No reinforcements?" Arashi thought for a moment before replying. "See if you can get the barrier down, but be careful. It could be dangerous if there is still somebody in there." Having not been paying attention he had just noticed that Daichi had gone from close behind him to a good ways ahead of him. "Hey Daichi, wait up." He yelled, moving faster to catch up. "I know your worried, but you should move at a steady pace otherwise you'll waste energy." Daichi stopped suddenly, making Arashi stumble to the ground trying to stop from running in to him. "What are you talking about? You're the one that started going slower." Arashi looked in to Daichi's eyes. Despite the straight face he could tell that Daichi was lying, but decided to play along. "Really? Guess I wasn't paying attention."

(Considering nobody ells is posting. I could come up with a few characters. I already have a few idea's)

"Yeah don't worry sensei." Kinata turned back to the barrier and placed her hand on it examing it for any possible other cracks. She wasn't too worried about any surprise attacks considering the small raven she sent into the hideout would warn her and hopefully find Roya and the kid in the process. "Well I don't want to waste any energy unless I have to so Rasengan is out. I could try one of my water jutsus considering that seems it may work best. In any case it's worth it." Kinata stepped back a few paces and looked around one more time to make sure someone wasn't watching. Then she rapidly completed a set of hand signs, "Water style! Water shockwave!" THe large vortex of water formed around the kunochi before slamming into the boulder causing the mountain side to vibrate with the impact.

Meanwhile the small raven flitted through the base in search of Roya and the kid.

(Good idea. I'll come up with a couple to and I guess I'll take over Kasumi.)

While they where stopped Arashi realized just how tired he was, from the lack of sleeps. When he started to move again if felt almost as if he had lead on his legs. "I really do hope that we're wrong about these guys. If we have to fight then I don't know if we can win without sleep." He noticed wiz, who got plenty of sleep while Daichi was setting up traps, jumping around on Daichi's arms. "Sometimes I wish I was a pet rabbit, then I wouldn't ave to worry about stuff like this." He knelled over a bit to catch his breath for a moment. When he looked back up Daichi, apparently not wanting to wait for Arashi, was already running ahead of him. "That figures." Arashi squeezed his eye lids together for a second to get the sleep out of his eyes and then left to catch up with Daichi.

(Got the first 2 characters in the OOC, Kasumi's underlings. I have 1 more for Kasumi's group and 2 more that could be grouped with the demon 'Zu Dong' or they could just be rouge ninja.)

"I-I don't really know what happened. All I can remember is a buch of shadow-like shinobi attacking the village. We tried to repel them or kill them but none of our weapons wroked. It seemed like they could only be harmed by chakra infused weapons or ninjutsus. And they were fast. Super fast. Faster then any shinobi in our village and maybe even any shinobi in the Land of Fire. They hid by blending into the shadows and never said a word. They didn't bleed either.", Inro said.

That was when Kasumi heard the blast. She narrowed her eyes, "So the Leaf has become impatient then?", she looked at Roya, "Roya go and get the others. I'll leave you three to deal with the Leaf." Roya bowed, "Yes Lady Kasumi.", and took off to find the others.

Kinata stood up right and looked at the aftermath of her jutsu. "WHAT!? You have to be kidding me!?", she shouted angrily. Her water had managed to damage the boulder but that was about it. 'At least I managed to damage it well enough. It shouldn't be too hard to destoy now, Right?', Kinata thought. "Sensei I guess I was wrong. My water shockwave managed to do nothing more then damage it fairly well. Should I just use Rasengan and blast it?"
