Pokémon Academy [Season 1]

"Oh this is surprising I was sure Explo would've Gotten hit...oh well! Go Ultimate Flare Blitz!"
Explo Obliged as his Entire body was engulfed in flames and he then Rocketed into Zane's Cyndaquil That is until they both hit the wall behind Zane's Cyndaquil...
In the midst or the Steam Jake looked Eager to find who won the clash.

"What?!" Zane shouted from afar, "You do know, when you do things like that, it's not a case of who wins, its a case of are they both defeated or are they both still standing!"
"Cynda....." Cyndaquil was lying down, energyless, but was still awake.
"Cyndaquil!" Zane called,
"Quil!" Cyndaquil hadn't fainted, so it hadn't been defeated, on the other hand, if jakes cyndaquil was still standing, it could easily finish cyndaquil off.
[i]Hang in there cyndaquil...With any luck, jakes cyndaquil is down too, and it might just be a draw...But if explo is still up, he could easilyl finish you off...[/i]

"Come on Explo! I don't intend you to be down after what we've been through!"
Jake then had a flashback back when he was 12 and he and Explo still lived in the Fiore Region. It was Raining and Explo was just attacked by a Mightyena It was chasing them. Explo Tried to fend it off but the Embers Explo fired were too weak. but before Jake lost hope Explo's Blaze activated and used a Super Ember with the power of an Overheat.
"Da Da....QUIL!" a Fire Eruption then came up as Explo Arose from the rubble with a Flame aura and Red Eyes. "[i]Blaze must have activated...[/i] Explo can you control Blaze?"
"...quillll" "I'll take that as a yes...ok Explo go Finish him off with Ember!" however even Jake Clearly gave the command Explo.
"Explo? what's up?" Jake soon found his answer as his Cyndaquil...was Evolving! "Wow! Explo! you're...a Quilava now! ok Explo now ember!" Instead of an Ember Explo Fired the powerful Blast Burn defeating Zane's Cyndaquil but causing Explo the need to recharge.

Ooc:I was hoping for a draw.

"Cyndaquil!!" Zane jumped in front of the flames, shielding cyndaquil,
"Quil..." Cyndaquil was out of energy,
"I'm sorry cyndaquil," Zane whispered with nearly no volume, "I, wasn't strong enough..."
"Cyndaa....." Cyndaquil suddenly fell unconcious.
"Cyndaquil!" Zane struggled to his knee's, some of his clothes singed by the flames of explo.
[i]That was not natural, how did that happen?! That explo is too strong, how can it not be hurt when both of our pokemon were critically damaged![/i]
Zane sighed, annoyed.
"Good battle," He glanced a look at quilava, then looked at jake, "Is there a pokemon center or something here to heal my pokemon?"

OOC: SORRY THE OPPORTUNITY AROSE AND I TOOK IT
"Hmm yeah there's a Center in the Town over there Come on I'll walk you It's the least I could do. Seriously I did not expect Explo to Evolve AND Learn Blast Burn can I get you new clothes at town or what? Well we can Talk along the way come on!" Jake and Explo gave there Deepest apology's and walked in the direction of the pokemon center.

"No need for apology," Zane replied honestly, "Even when, my cyndaquil was taking a beating. I thought we could win."
Zane held cyndaquils pokéball in front of him, wondering about the seal. When he first got cyndaquil he put the seal on the ball and it was only to make cyndaquil look fierce. [i]Why did I put that seal on...Cyndaquil doesn't need the seal to be strong.[/i] Zane removed the seal from the pokéball, then held his hand to Jake,
"Take this, it's a seal." Zane explained, "When you bring explo from his pokéball, it releases a massive blast of fire."
[i]I wonder, exactly how many regions are there? I only just came to this new region, the Kanto, Johto and Sinnoh region had more species of pokemon each time. I never even got the chance to travel to the Fiore or Heonn[/i]
"Jake, what are the regions Fiore and Heonn like?" Zane asked, walking alongside him, "I've only been to Kanto, Johto and Sinnoh."

"Well I've never been to the Hoenn Region and thanks for the Seal. The Fiore Region is nice and well I mean this with the greatest respect...full of tree huggers. Basically everyone in the Fiore Region absolutely loves the environment. That's not bad I mean the Air is fresh and Crisp. If you grew up there your whole life you look like you are on steroids compared to other people your age. I mean look at me I'm like 2 Inches Taller than you and we are like the same age. Everyone's nice there but the main selling point of the Fiore Region are well the pokemon Rangers. they protect the pokemon from nefarious Teams Like Team-Go-Rock. Also..." Jake was stopped as something walked in front of Jake and Zane...a Bagon. "Oh snap...Wish I had a Pokeball... Explo Go! use Quick Attack!" The Bagon was Hit and Surprisingly Ran away Crying "You don't see that every day...oh look the pokemon center...[i]and a Pokemon Mart... [/i]

"Sounds like a great place," Zane smiled, "Hey, why don't we go there after we've finished the academy?"
Zane was normally didn't socialize much, he trained his cyndaquil away from other trainers, and walked paths no one else dared go, but something about the academy, it made him feel he had to be seen.
"If you didn't have a pokeball, why did you attack it?" Zane laughed, suddenly gasping with happiness, "The pokémon center!"
Zane ran as fast a she could to the center, up to the desk,
"Nurse, please heal my cyndaquil!" Zane pleaded, handing the nurse a pokéball containing cyndaquil.
"Your pokémon will be fine in no time!" The nice woman at the desk smiled, "Please wait a few minuites!"

"Thanks," Zane sighed with relief that cyndaquil would be ok, "I'm just going to the pokémart quickly."
Zane walked to the pokémart, it was quite small, but it's shelves were packed with pokémon magazines, drinks, potions, antidotes and much more. But what zane wanted, was some pokéballs, so he grabbed a bunch of pokéballs and stepped to the counter.
"How much will these be?" He asked politely,
"For them it will be $95," The merchant comfirmed, "Oh wait, you're a member of the pokémon academy? It will be only $70!"
"Wow, thanks!" Zane handed over the money then returned to the pokémon center.

"Please, come back again!" The nurse smiled after zane waited,
"Thankyou very much." Zane returned a smile and walked back out to find zane,
"Cyndaaa!!" Cyndaquil emerged from a flash of crimson light, "Quilllll!!!!"
"You better buddy?" Zane cuddled cyndaquil, walking back to jake.

"Yeah That would be great I am going there after my studies...Oh well The only reason I fought that Bagon was to display Dominance I didn't want it to feel like I was his (word for female dog) so I scared him off His reaction was weird though I never thought a Bagon could be so Cowardly like that...Hmm I'm getting Pokeballs...
10 Minutes Later...
"Alright! 10 Pokeballs!" "Quil..." "What's the matter holy sock..." "BA BA BA BA..." Right in front of Jake was a disgruntled Bagon. Looking like a Tauros about to charge. "Wait I think that's the Bagon from before...Explo! use Reversal!" "Quil!" Explo then Charged into Bagon Glowing brightly. Th Bagon Retaliated with a Powerful Bite Attack "Explo! stay strong use Blast Burn!" a Massive Explosion Leaving a Huffing Explo and a Fainted Bagon. "Alright Go! Pokeball!" 3 Wobbles and... "Alright I got a Bagon!"

Zane stood dumfounded,
"Uh...Wow..." Zane was quite surprised, "Congratulations..But, how can explo use that move so casually, it's...So strong."
"Quilll!" Cyndaquil growled,
"Cyndaquil, not now..." Zane ignored, "Anyway Jake, shall we head ba-"
"Cynda, cyndaaaa" Cyndaquil poked zane, "Quilll!!!"
"CYNDAQUIL!" Zane spun round, at that moment, a shadowy figure retreated to the nearby woods, "Jake, did you see that?! Im going after it!"
He then chased after where he saw the shadowy figure go, trying desperately to find it. Zane paled. There it was, just a shadow next to a tree ahead, as fast as he could he chased it.
"Cyndaquil!" Zane commanded, still running, "Ember!"
"Quill!" Cyndaquil shot a small sliver of fire at the shadow, it seemed to dissapear, then it reapeared behind zane.

It growled,
"A, G-Ghastly?!" Zane recognised the ghost pokemon, "Cyndaquil, start simple. Scratch!"
"quil!" Cyndaquil lunged at the ghost pokemon, slicing throgh the air,
"Ghaastlyyy" Ghastly's bloodchilling laugh echoed as it dissapeared then appearing behind cyndaquil.
"Watch out!" Zane called as ghastly then released a shadow ball.
"Cyndaa." Cyndaquil was knocked to the ground by the attack.
"Don't back down now cyndaquil!" Zane encouraged, "Ember!"
"Cynda, cynda....." Cyndaquil glowed,
"Your evolving?" Zane smiled, But instead, cyndaquil didn't evolve, he released a great shot of fire. Flamethrower.

"Ghasst" Ghastly evaded the attack again. [i]What does it take to take this thing out?![/i]
"Cyndaquil, flamethrower!" Zane commanded, cyndaquil went to carry out the attack, "No! Scratch!"
Cyndaquil then, to ghastly's surprise, leaped at ghastly and scratched. But the pokemon's arm simply passed through ghastly. [i]I forgot! Physical attacks dont effect ghost type...Hmmm....I think maybe that would work....[/i]
"Ok cyndaquil, just try scratch again!" Zane smirked slightly, as ghastly stayed still knowing normal attacks didn't effect it, expecting the scratch. "Change of plan, flamethrower!!"
"Cynda cynda QUIIILLLL!!!!" Cyndaquil carried on flying forward, blasting a massive line of intense crimson flame at ghastly.

"Ghassstly?" Ghastly was stunned in surprise, wondering how it was fooled so easily,
"Now cyndaquil, smokescreen!" Zane called out. Ghastly appeared behind cyndaquil, to zanes expectance.
"Behind you!" Zane demanded, "Use flamethrower one more time!"
"Quil!" Cyndaquil spun round, delivering another red-hot flamethrower at the ghost-pokemon.
"Ghast!...." Ghastly growled, giving zane an evil look as it fainted.
"Nice work buddy!" Zane threw a pokeball at the ghost pokemon, it bounced as it trapped the ghastly inside it with a red flash. It rocked once, twice, three times. There was silence for a few seconds. Finally the middle of the pokeball returned to normal.
"Yeah!" Zane threw his fist upwards into the air in victory.

"All right Zane! great job! Unfortunately your Cyndaquil didn't evolve buuut he learned Flamethrower! In my opinion That is the most versatile Special Fire-Type move. Also you got a Ghastly! heh I know something we have pretty much more pokemon then most people in the academy. Zane you know a question you should ask though? I think you should ask ,you know when your ghastly evolves, why Haunter needs to be traded to evolve into a Gengar."

"heh, thanks," Zane then knelt down and stroked cyndaquil, "But, cyndaquil evolves when he's ready."
"Cyndaaa," Cyndaquil jumped into zanes arms.
"hmmm good point.." Zane stood thinking, holding cyndaquil in his arms, "Maybe it's because, some pokemon, in order to reach certain stages of evolution, need a special type of experience. So-"

"Thats it! Thats how poliwhirl evolves into politoad!" Zane suddenly burst out, "Poliwhirl needs to be traded in order to evolve into a politoad!"
