Aesirson
OoC Discussion and Character Thread Principal Wuji looked at the mass of new students that had travelled far and wide to participate in the Pokémon Academy. He was smiling, and looked very friendly. The room was big, but still the students had a hard time to fit. Wuji was standing on the farest end of the room, with all the teachers behind him. On each side of him was a pillar, one of them made out of pitch-black obsidian and the other the whitest of alabaster. At the top of both pillars there was a statue of a dragon-like Pokémon. The two seemed to be fighting. "Welcome, students of the Pokémon Academy!" He said and held out his hand in a welcoming gesture. "This is the 34th year of the Academy, and you should be proud to be students here! Here you will make new friends, face new challenges and we will regularly go into the Pokéa Reserve for you to catch the vast amount of Pokémon found there! You have been sorted into two dorms, the Black dorm." He pointed at the obsidian dragon. "And the White dorm." He pointed at the alabaster dragon with his other hand. "May the two dragons guard over you for the entirity of your stay here! We hope that it will be most pleasant." With these words he turned around and left the students to the other teachers. CommanderVolt
As the room returned to being bustling and busy after the Principle's speech, Tarvos stood perfectly still in his pitch-black attire. Standing out more then others, there were plenty of younger people there, younger them him. He stood at about 6 feet tall, so he had no problem watching the Principle's speech. Tarvos seemed to be holding his balance as to not be pushed over by the countless number of students running and pushing about. He stared blankley into space with his single eye only half-way open, though his eye would appear to be looking over his left shoulder as his body was slightly slanted and his head was tilted in that direction. Breathing gently he finnaly noticed something on the shoulder of his fine-black suit. "oh..." Tarvos spoke out softly, his voice cracked. It was weak, like he was whispering to him self. He turned his body and softly touched his own shoulder, realizing that it was stained with his own blood. After groaning softly he spoke to him self again. "I didn't realize i put the same clothes on... It always gets hazy if i stay up that late..." Remembering some moments from early in the morning his body shuddered and a few coughs would escape from his mouth. Immediately he placed his hand infront of his mouth to catch it. Upon careful observation, one could see his pale-skinned hand was beat, bruised and scared. Moving his hand away he checked his hand breifly to see if he had pushed out blood. He nodded, placing his arms back at his side, he finnaly took a careful look around the room. In the light, his black eyes appeared as a royal blue. Students, as far as the eye could see untill your eyes reached a wall. He had planned to wait untill the room had settled down before he had decided to look for his teacher, or do anything for that matter.

Quiksilver
"All students of White Dorm, over here!" A voice called out above the din of the murmuring students. A lithe young man with lanky dark hair began ascending a staircase down into the room proper. Some recognized him as one of the Types and Attacks teachers, those who had gone to Pokemon Academy before, for for the most part the man was unrecognzied. He walked over to the alabaster pillar and began shouting again. "All students with the words 'White Dorm' printed on their entry card may come over!" He said, and slowly a crowd of adolescents formed around him. Viewing them through small glasses perched on his nose, he gave them a big grin. "Hello, there!" He said. "My name is Daisuke Komatsu. I teach Types and Attacks here at the school. You may refer to me as Daisuke or Mr. K- but never Professor Komatsu." This elicted a few chuckles. Clearly the Professor was a laid-back dude. "Welcome to Pokemon Academy!" Daisuke continued. "This might be quite frightening for some of you, being in some strange school, but trust me, it will only get worse. Just kidding!" He said, seeing the horror-striken faces. "Pokemon Academy is a wonderful place to learn about these wonderful creatures we share the world with." Daisuke took out a PokeBall, and pressed it, and a large metal UFO-ish pokemon came out. Gasps of wonder were made; not many had seen a fully-evolved Magnezone before. "Here at the school, you will learn about Pokemon battling, trading, and bonding. You may learn much- or maybe not so much. Whatever the case, Pokemon Academy will help you grow and develop as a Trainer. And when it's all over, you will get the chance to join something big; nothing less than the Pokemon League Qualifying Matches! Until that point, however, you will live, play, and work here. For you lucky guys, that will all take place in the White Dorm- which is protected by our friendly white dragon here!" Daisuke gestured towards the white dragon atop the alabaster pillar. "Well, now that I got my speech outta the way, I need to take attendence. Is Scarlet Glacies here?..." *** (< I always use that to indicate when I'm switching characters. Just an FYI.) Damn, damn, DAMN! So thought the short teenager as he tried to work his way through the crowd. However, at only five feet three, it was a little hard for him to get people to, well, even notice him trying to push through. Rokuro Katō had heard that teacher's voice call out for all kids in White Dorm, but he was having a little trouble get to him. "Ki? Kibago?" "Yes, Kiki, I know that people are rude and won't move." The boy said impatiently, running a nervous hand through his short, spiky black hair. He glanced at the Kibago sideways, trying to keep an eye on the little, green Dragon Pokemon with tusks while trying to push people out of his way at the same time. "I'm trying to get through as best I can- Oof!" Rokuro exclaimed as he tripped over somebody's feet and landed flat on his face. "Oow..." He said, pushing him off the ground. He turned to look at the insidious feet that had tripped him, and saw two big feet (at least, to him) encased in shiny black shoes. He followed the shoes up to the legs and up from there and found himself looking at a tall, fragile-looking guy in a black suit. "What's the big idea?' Rokuro said angrily, apparently of the belief the well-dressed teenage had tripped him.
Aesirson
((Alien, that could be considered godmodding. Try not to do that.)) One of the teachers took a step forward towards the mass of students. He coughed once to get their attention, and most of them went silent. "Hello there, peopel!" Doctor Gilligan said and smiled. His eyes were sleepy, indicating that he had spent many days without sleep preparing for the students arrival. "I am Doctor Fedric Gilligan, and I will be your teacher in Pokémon History and Mythology." Several sighs was heard from the group of students, and some whispers started. "If everyone belonging to the Black dorm could follow me outside I would be most pleased!" He then said loudly so that everyone could hear him. He then lifted his finger and walked into the studentmass, towards the door. The students were moving out of the way, and a bunch of them (the ones belonging to the Black dorm) followed him outside. When they came outside the sky was clouded and the rain fell lightly on Fedric's head. "Docotor Gilligan?" A boy, probably around the age of 13, said and pointed at the roof of the majestic main building of the school. On top of the roof sat a majestic, silver colored dragon. It's right wing was broken, and it was staring down at the students at the gate. Luckily, it was only a statue. "It looks like a Pokémon, but it's not like any of the two dragons seen inside, atop the pillars." "No. No it's not. Who knows? Maybe you'll learn about that guy during my lessons?" Gilligan let out a little chuckle and then turned towards the walkway. To their right was a big lake with a bridge that connected a small island with the land. On the island stood a big, white mansion. The white dorm. To their right was a big forest and a bit further down the road, next to the forest, was a big, black mansion, the black dorm. "That's where we're heading!" Fedric pointed at the black dorm and started walking, the students following him. When they reached the black dorm the students were met by another dragon, this one also a statue. However, this was the same one seen inside the main building, the obsidian one. On the pedestal that it stood on there was a golden sign reading "The Black Yin, Guardian of Darkness. Balance must be held." Some of the students was amazed by the statue and while it was holding the students attention Gilligan pulled out a list. "And now for the attendance!" He then started to read up all the students that was placed in the black dorm. ((Equally, there's a statue outside the white dorm with a sign reading "The White Yang, Guardian of Light. Without balance we would end.")) -- Bruce looked at the teacher who had led the White dorm students. Daisuke? "Bruce Winston's here." He simply said, hoping that the teacher had heard him. Time Psyduck
Gwen was probably lucky that she was close to where the teacher from her dorm had come down the staircase, as otherwise she would have more than likely have been unable to get through the crowd, most of whom were defiantly taller than her. As it was, she was able to be close enough to the front that she could actually see the teacher who was responsible for her dorm, although the Togepi sitting in her arms was stuck with a view of the back of another student. When she heard that it was going to get worse she almost gasped - getting into this hall, with all of these other students here, was hard enough - but it turned out he was joking. Still, he seemed to expect that everyone was going to be a trainer, something Gwen wasn't sure about. She didn't want to make a scene, so she simply continued to listen. Quiksilver
"Good, Bruce is here..." Daisuke scribbled something on a notepad he held. "Gwen Jones...oh hello, there." He smiled at the red-haired girl, who she recognized from her picture. Daisuke had worked together with Gwen's mom, so it was kinda hard not to notice her, even if she didn't want to be noticed. "Cool, I finally get a Coordinator this year! Hope you get my class, I know quite a bit about usage of types in contests!" He winked at Gwen. "Well, looks like most of you are here..." The Professor concluded, looking down at his page. One name jumped out at him, one of the few that did not have a check mark by it; some kid named Rokuro Katō. Wait, could he be a child of the Katō Quality Pokeball Company? Interesting. Well, hopefully he and the others will turn up when I do the second check in the dorm rooms, Daisuke thought. "Okay, I will take you to the White Dorm House now!" Daisuke said loudly, and began to lead the group through a pair of double-doors in which most of the Black Dorm had just disappeared through. Several of the kids groaned when they felt the rain fall on their heads, but Daisuke didn't notice. He was too busy trying to herd people onto the small penisula/island that contained the stark-white mansion that was White Dorm House. "Now you'll notice the white dragon that we saw inside is also in front of the White dorm rooms," Daisuke said, adopting the manner of a tour guide, "And that is because, as I said, he is the guardian of White Dorm. He is, as the inscription says, 'The White Yang Pokemon'. Go ahead, read the inscription." Several students peered at the statues, looking at wonder at the words in gold which said, "The White Yang, Guardian of Light. Without balance we would end." "It probably be best if you followed the dragon's words." Daisuke said seriously, looking grim for a second. Then, his happy grin returned and he said, "Well, let's go check out the rooms, shall we?" Smiling at their expectant expressions, Daisuke led the way into the White Dorm House. Aesirson
Bruce stood looking at the white dragon for a moment before he saw that the rest of his classmates had already entered the white mansion. He looked at his fist and slowly opened it, revealing a deactivated Pokéball. He lightly touched the button on the ball and it enlarged. "It might be a good idea to let you out now, Komatana!" The ball opened and shoot out a beam of light that formed a small, humanoid creature. When the light faded away it revealed the Pokémon to look like a knight clothed in red and black, with two blades instead of hands. "Let's follow the others inside before we lose them!" ((Bruce and Rokuru could be roommates, since that's probably needed.))
CommanderVolt
After a moment of blanking out, he came back to reality when he felt something nudge against his feet. "Oh..." he said in his soft, cracking voice, looking down seeing Rokuro had tripped over his feet. Tarvos carefully eyed the anger filled eyes which were beaming at him self. He extended his long-arm out to Rokuro, opening his fragile, scarred hand. A gesture as if to help him up. Looking at Rokuro with his single good eye and the other which was covered by an eyepatch, he apolagized briefly. "I'm sorry..." As he said it, his voice still cracking and soft, like a whisper in which Rokuro may have not been able to hear. Tarvos did not crack a smile or a grin of friendlyness, he remained with his dull look. It was around that time he heard the Teacher calling for the Black Dorm students, but he payed it no mind, and focused his attention on Rokuro. Time Psyduck
"Huh? Oh, hello," Gwen replied, jumping when she realised the teacher was talking to her. He began to talk about her taking part in contests, and the girl's face began to go slightly red - which suddenly flushed bright scarlet when he winked at her. "I don't know about contests," she mumbled, far too quietly for the teacher to hear. "He seems like a nice teacher," she told the Togepi on the way to the dorm, "don't you think so?" "Togi togi pii!" the tiny creature replied, waving it's arms, either in agreement or at the raindrops which had begun to fall onto it. Gwen looked up at the statue. It seemed very impressive, and almost beautiful, but she really didn't want to meet the real thing. She glanced briefly at the description before she walked into the mansion that was the dormitory. Quiksilver
"Oh, thanks..." Rokuro said, embarrassed now that he knew that he had unfairly accused the teen. "Sorry about that." He apologized, taking Tarvos' fragile hand and getting himself up. He smiled at the dour-looking guy. "I didn't mean to accuse you like that," The boy apologized again. "I was just a little mad at not being able to get through the crowd, I'm trying to get to the White Dorm group..." And then, as if on cue, the voice of the teacher could be heard again talking about how he was taking them outside. Rokuro jumped and flipped around, starting to push his way through the group again. He looked over his shoulder. "Me name's Rokuro Katō. Talk to ya later!" The guy said, and with a Kibago trailing behind, he managed to push his way through the crowd and hook up with the White Dorm crowd right before it left. He found himself standing next to a red-haired girl about his age by the time they had gathered outside White Dorm House. "Hello!" He said happily. ((Alright, I'm cool with that. Wassup, roommate? ))
CommanderVolt
After helping Rokuro get up he paused for a moment. Taking his arms back to his side he went to speak. "...My name's..." He noticed Rokuro had already darted off and Tarvos watched him. "...little bro...?" In his soft-whisper like voice, he then sighed heavily remembering another thing from the past. Tarvos had then turned his head in the direction of which the Black Dorm students were called for. He slowly pushed and made his way through the crowd of people untill he made it to the doors in which Black Dorm students were going through. The doors being held open by another student or teacher; he didnt' pay enough attention to discern. Stepping outside he felt the rain hit his head. "Rain..." Closing his eyes for a moment he was prepared to drift off into space again, but another student bumped into him. Groaning softly, he continued on to follow the Black Dorm students. Even then he still seemed like he was ready to space out.
Aesirson
Gilligan looked around at the crowd of Black Students and saw that Tarvos joined the crowd. He looked through the papers he was holding and finally found a photo of him. "You're Tarvos, right?" He then said. "Okay people! Now for the fun part! If you've already made friends then this part will be easy! Choosing your roommate!" Gilligan smiled, but the students looked a bit confused. They hadn't had the time to make any friends yet. "Come on people! The dorm mansion is not so big that everyone could get their own room. And before someone asks; No, we won't let you share room with someone who's not the same sex as you!" A boy looked disappointed and sighed, and some of the otehr students laughed. "No, seriously! Pick your roommate, we don't have all day and by the looks of it Kyogre's not happy!" As he mentioned the, for most of the students, unknown Pokémon most of them looked at him with weird looks. "You'll learn about it during my class! Now get inside!" CommanderVolt
Tarvos turned in the direction of the teacher who spoke to him and nodded clearly. He was then a little shaken at what he said next, as Tarvos him self knew, he wasn't a people person. Looking through the crowd of all the Black Dorm students, he had no knowledge of any of them. Tarvos sighed and slouched his body forward for a moment. Picking him self back he placed his left hand over his left-eye. He pushed his hand up running it through his hair, and as his hand would leave the top of his head he sighed at the same time. "Guess i'll wait untill i get paired with someone...yeah.. that's what i'll do." His voice wasn't cracking that time, and he had spoke with more feeling. Once again staring around at all the diffirent students, and then thinking. "Would someone want to be a room mate with someone like me...?" referencing towards his scarred-body and his head which only had one working eye. He was intending to wait, expecting that the teacher would perhaps pair him up with someone so as he would not have to confront anyone him self. He didn't notice the teacher telling them to come inside the mansion, so he stood there while the others did. Not paying enough attention to the fact that they were going inside. Aesirson
Some of the students had already paired together, with the boys standing in one group and the girls in another. Some had not found any roommates yet, for example Tarvos. The rain had now gotten harsher, and Gilligan opened the doors to the black dorm and did a gesture with his hand, hinting to the students that they would go inside. The inside of the mansion looked as first-class as the outside. They entered a big hall with two staircases on the far end, with several hallways connected to the hall. The same applied to the second floor, that was visible from the first. On the roof was a big painting of the famous Yin and Yang symbol, which all students was familiar with. "Okay, everyone who has a roommate build a line!" The students who had roommates stood in pairs while Fedric assigned them different rooms. "Doctor Gilligan!" The boy who had pointed out the silver dragon said. "You're a veteran trainer, right? You've got to have some Pokémon!" Fedric looked away from the line and looked at the boy. "Of course I do. And here is one." All of a sudden a big, golden coffin appeared from nowhere. It had a creepy, dark aura around it, and it appeared to be smiling. It's big, red eyes looked evil, and many of the students backed away from it. "This is Desukaan. He's not as evil as he seems. Unless he's hungry, of course!" CommanderVolt
"Oh..." Tarvos immediately responded, his voice in a soft-whisper. He noticed the teacher's beckon and walked towards the doors. Noticing that the students who were paired up got in lines with each other, Tarvos stood by the door as he did not have a room mate. He stared at the ground as so he would not have to make eye contact with any of the other students. Slouching his body forward slightly, tarvos had his arms crossed and hid his hands undernearth the sleeves of suit between his armpits. Once again, he was planning to wait. Quiksilver
Daisuke clapped his hands to call for attention, looking decidedly out of place among the opulent surroundings of the entry hall. "Well, I've now counted you all again," He said, trying to be louder than the rain, which had now escalated to the point of rainstorm and was pounding against the walls. A few students were still struggling in, bedraggled and soaked to the skin. "Now, I know most of one want to go upstairs and dry off, but there is something we must do first; Choose roommates!" Daisuke exclaimed. "Now, boys and girls, as my friend Mr. Gilligan puts it, 'No, we won't let you share room with someone who's not the same sex as you,' so choose wisely!" Several kids laughed, and the big group of kids split apart as people began looking for partners. Rokuro was one of them. "Now, who should I partner with?" He asked himself softly, looking at the crowd around him.
Time Psyduck
A boy had appeared next to Gwen and said hello, but before Gwen could answer they were told to find roommates, and he drifted off to where the other boys were. Gwen moved in the other direction, where common consensus has resulted in the girls sorting out who was rooming with who. Gwen looked around. She didn't know anybody, so she couldn't share with an existing friend, and she was worried that she might ask someone who already had someone to room with by mistake, and didn't want the embarrassment, so she just stood around, trying to work out who might not have a roommate yet, as well as why the rooms weren't assigned when they registered. Aesirson
Bruce looked around, and so did Komatana, trying to find someone to partner with. Suddenly Bruce spotted something very interesting. A boy, pretty short, with black hair. No, it was not the boy that was interesting, but the Kibago. Komatana darted towards the Kibago, but Bruce was quick enough to grab him before he reached the dragon. "So there, little dude!" He said, holding Komatana's blade. "We're not here to cause trouble." He looked at the boy with the Kibago. "Hey, you! You're that Kato guy, right?"
Quiksilver
"Yep! That's me!" Rokuro said cheerfully. He grabbed his own Pokemon to stop it from return attacking. "You're Bruce something-or-other, right? That Komatana of yours looks pretty cool." He examined the sharp little Pokemon with an appraising glance. Looked pretty strong. "Hey, you wanna be roommates?" Rokuro asked casually. Strong Pokemon, nice-looking dude- could be an awesome roommate, Rokuro thought. Aesirson
"I was just about to ask you the same." Bruce said lightly. He usually didn't talk to strangers like this, but when someone had an interesting Pokémon they were interesting persons in Bruce's eyes. When Komatana had calmed down he let go of his blade, and the little Steel Pokémon looked happy and instead tried to do friendly gestures at Kibago to show that it was peaceful. "And yes, I'm Bruce. Bruce Winston. And this is my partner, Komatana. I got him from my father and we have never been appart since then."
Quiksilver
"That's cool." Rokuro began to walk slowly towards staircase at the far end of the room. He motioned for Bruce to follow to show he wasn't abandonig him, he just wanted to get up and claim a room before all the good ones were gone. "Me and my Kibago are the same way. We've been together for a while now." He rubbed the head of his Pokemon fondly and Kiki chirped delightedly in response. "Anyways, let's take turns telling each other about ourselves. I don't want to be roommates with a total stranger!" Rokuro gave Bruce a lopsided smile. "I'll start. I was born in the Sinnoh Region, in Jubilife City. I love Pokemon, Pokemon battling in particular. I also love donuts, for some strange reason. I'm also heir to Kato Quality Pokeball Industries." He slipped this last detail in at the end, trying to past it by Bruce.
Aesirson
"Well." Bruce followed his roommate upstairs, with Komatana not far behind. "I grew up in Johto, Mahogany Town, to be exact. My father was a Trainer and my mother was a lawyer. When my father travelled across the lands he caught numerous Pokémon, and he gave me Komatana. That was the last time I saw him. He just simply disappeared and then we never heard of him anymore. When this happened my mother fell sick and now I want to win the Pokémon League to win the money for her." They reached the top of the stairs. "Your turn."
Quiksilver
"That's pretty sad." Rokuro looked sad for a second, then cheered up. "Well, I'll bet you'll get that money for her, just wait and see." He reached the top of the stairs and started walking down a white-washed hallway. "Hmm, which of these rooms to pick, which one...more information about me is that wanna be Pokemon Champion, too. But I can be really fickle, sometimes. Only last week I wanted to be a Pokemon Ranger...hey, why don't we pick this one!" Rokuro pointed at a door to the left, strategically placed between the bathrooms and door outside. It seemed the perfect dormitory. Except, of course, if it was a total wreck inside. Rokuro pushed the door open and prepared for the worst. ((OoC: I'll leave the description of the room to you, my friend.))
Aesirson
When they entered the room it was actually tidied and not so wrecky at all. There was two beds, one on each side of the room, with a garderobe placed next to each bed. On the far end of the room, between the beds, was a big window/door with a painting above it, depicting the two dragon guardians in battle. "You know, if these two dragons really are balance and we would end if one of them disappeared, why are they always depicted fighting?" Bruce asked as he sat down on one of the beds.
