It has been several years since the heroes have been around, making most crime impossible. The villains have been foiled time and time again and realizing that they can't win on their own, the banded together to destroy the heroes. Unknown to either faction, a new group of super-powered beings have risen. They became the dominant force in Chicago, a city completely clear of heroes or villains. Due to their constant inactivity in Chicago, the these new beings saw the heroes as an incompetent force. This was mainly due to the the thoughts of their leader, A mysterious man in black. He was sick of all the heroes attracting all the villains to his city, so he created a group of new super-powered people to help "save" the world from the heroes and villains.[/spoiler]

Personality: Others often credit him with making them better people. He uses this quality alongside his intelligence and the information he gathers to inspire others. He is gritty, and informal, personality with a jovial, witty, forthright and almost manic exterior. He would often make jokes in the face of danger, but can then become grim and serious at certain moments

[spoiler=Appearance]John wears a black collard shirt, with suspenders. His pants are black and made of cotton. He has a purple frock coat and a fedora with a piece of clothe tied around it. He has purple trainers. He also wears a long face covering purple scarf. John has blue eyes, and long black hair.

[spoiler=Appearance in Armour] John has obtained the technology to build a suit similar to Iron Mans, but with a few upgrades. Fortress is large and bulky. The helmet has a Y-shaped faceplate, with slits for eyeholes. The top of the head is a dome shape, similar to that of an army helmet. There are three sensor on the forehead, and an earpiece band, wrapping around the back of the head. There is a neck ring on a swivel that allows him to move his head around. The chestpiece is one working unit with a half-egg-shaped backpack Backpack has exhaust slits, and a rocket. Backpack also houses antiradar antena. Stomach armour consists of interlocking external oblique layers, ensuring maximum protection. Unibeam on chest is now similar to a flattened superman symbol. Sensor lights are on the neck ring. Large shoulder pads with glowing slots, which are Shirow riffs, which are also on the elbow, and knee pads, and knuckles.Hip piece contains flares to be deployed during flight. All joint plating is made of convex. The boots have a definitive platform aspect to house jets.The jointing is made of a hard undersuit. joints are plated with convex, where servo units are housed. The Fortress armour is coloured green and gold.[/spoiler]

Power: John has no powers. He has succeded in stealing Tony Starks Iron Man technology. John has built many versions of his suit, in a similar fashion to Iron Man.

Rival: Thor, Iron Man

[spoiler=Bio] John was an average man, until he became bankrupt. He needed money, and fast. He new that Anthony Stark, owner and CEO of Stark enterprises had billions of dollars, and would get his money there. He was very clever, and was easily able to hack into Starks computer systems. He shut off the security cameras with ease. He had mapped out the entire building with ease. The next night, he broke into the vault. What he found was more. Along with one billion dollars, he had found a large tube that read, "Confidential". He took this, to sell to rivaling companies. When he made it back to his home, and unloaded all the cash, he opened the tube. What he found was the blueprints and schematics for all of Iron Mans many armours. He then sett out to spend his money in creating an armour that could defeat even Iron Man himself. He added abilities and components from different armours, and had finally finished. He left the building to test the armour, and flew out into the night. When he landed, a man stood at his door, and offered him a slot in his team.[/spoiler][/spoiler]

[b]Personality: [/b]Thomas himself is gentle and kind. He would never hurt anyone regardless of what is happening. He is selfless and caring to his friends and family and would do anything for them. But as the Shining Shadow, he's completely different. He believes in protecting all who are in danger and is more selfless than how is normally. His feelings for the innocent is very strong and believes to bond and make friends for all who he saves from danger. Even if possible, he would make the ultimate sacrifice to save the one he loves.

[b]Appearance:[/b] In his normal look, Thomas is 6"2' with a muscle tone as big as Spider-Man's. He usually wears the average everyday clothing, but if needed to be specific, he mostly wears a either a leather jacket or a white T-Shirt to cover his costume, waiting for the moment to show it and change.

For his costume, on the other hand, it has some similarities to that of Spider-Man due to the similar look of the mask, but it's yellow and black without the metal web line design. For most of his design, think Spawn with a yellow and black cape, yellow on the outside, and black on the inside, but without the spikes and skull belt. Mainly, everywhere that there is black, it's replaced with yellow, with the white is replaced by black. Ignore the design and think of yellow and black in checkerboard style. With the legs, it's yellow and black in stripes per leg. What's also noted is that he wears black and white Ninja Tabi, special ninja sandals that connect to his incredible blinding speed at night. One more thing he has is a special chip in his brain that allows him control of the powers given to him.

[b]Power:[/b] The Shining Shadow actually has 2 different powers:[list][*]The first is what he uses during the day. Mainly, he's able to use the very sunlight itself to camouflage himself from his enemies. His costume contains special camouflage particles connected to his suit that allows his to not be seen on sunny days until he chooses to.
[*]At night, however, is where his Ninja Tabi come to use, but also the darkness itself in general. He is able to manipulate himself into the shadows with the use of his Ninja Tabi. He is able to came out of the shadows behind his enemies very quietly and swiftly enter it again if he is about to be noticed. He's like Batman, but with actual powers of the dark to aid him in stopping his enemies.[/list]
[b]Rival:[/b] As of now, he has no rivals, but since he teams up with Spider-Man every now and then, he would have to have the same rivals, mostly Venom and Carnage.

[b]Bio:[/b] Thomas was one of the few residents that loved Spider-Man from the beginning. For the last 3 years, his popularity for Spider-Man has gotten bigger and bigger until he wished he was like him. His wish was come true, but not in the way that he wanted it to be in the first place. At age 22, he was recruited by a secret government organization to be experimented on using special new radioactive chemicals with unknown effects on humans. He had to have a chip implanted into his brain first so if the effects went out of control, but he had no idea how to use it in the first place.

The first chemical tested on him was a mistake. It had two effects, which became his powers later. Thomas at first lost his mind and then went into the shadows, appearing miles north of the testing area in a supposed underground lab. It shows a large computer screen with a yellow and black Lamborghini and a containment tube that contains a special costume, which he uses today. He then saw a letter, but didn't read it. He then saw blueprints and instructions on the chip implanted in his brain. It turns out his powers can be controlled through certain emotion. Since then, he had helped the lives of people in the parts of Long Island Spider-Man has never been to.

A few months ago, though, Spider-Man talked with him, saying how great he is with stopping the minor villains. He told him that he should help Spider-Man when the time asks for it and fight true villains. Spider-Man gave The Shining Shadow a special device that beeps when Spider-Man needs his assistance. And so he has. Thomas had helped Spider-Man for the last couple of months and hadn't been asked for help from him for over a week. During that week, he had heard about another group of super-powered beings that plan to get rid of all heroes. Thomas contacted Spider-Man about this and they both head to Chicago to find out the problem and deal with it.

Name: Cole Black/ Bones

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Personality: Cole is shy and calm. He has a problem trusting people after the incident he faced with HYDRA. Often comes off as antisocial, but whenever someone succeeds in earning his trust, he will protect them and fight savagely to do so. Will occasionally get flashbacks of his old life in New York and it seems to be happening more and more as the approach the city....

Appearance: Cole stands at 5'7 and has a scrawny build. He has pale skin and white hair making him appear sick at all times. Wears a zip-up sweater he usually removes during fights and old tattered jeans. Has a tribal tattoo he doesn't remember getting, he assumes it was from his old days at New York. Is usually seen with his hood up and wears a bracelet with the name Priscilla on it. According to Jon it might be his old girlfriend. (I smell side plot)

Power: Complete control over his bone structure and the ability to regrow bones instantly. His bones are made from adamantium (the same material that makes up James Logan's bones). Slight regenerative healing factor inherited from Logan's genes. Despite his size, has incredible durability and can survive falls from high buildings and other massive attakcs.

Rival: Bears a hatred for all members of HYDRA (The experimentation is as far back as he remembers) his ultimate goal is the extermination of Hydra, and Kingpin.

Bio: As a child, he lived in New York, often seeing heroes everywhere. The criminal organization, HYDRA kidnapped him and performed experiments on him to infuse him with both Marrow's and James Logan's DNA in order to create a secret weapon to use against S.H.I.E.L.D. A mysterious man in black broke in during the experimentation process, rescued him and took him to Chicago where he raised him as his son and named him Cole (his memory was lost during the experimentation process). He was a founding member of Mr. Black's team of superhumans and has a high position, he gets along well with Jon Stone due to him being his first friend as far as he remembers. When alone, likes to look at his bracelet and tries to remember who Priscilla was.

Name: Drake Fillmore/Acid

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Personality: Serious at all times and indifferent to emotions. Cares for nothing more than the mission, making him very useful. He isn't social at all and rather likes being isolated from everything to just watch news and train to get stronger.

Appearance: Very gloomy looking. He has messy black hair. His eyes never show emotion. He always wears plain white or black t-shirts and jeans.

Power: Acid Generation- Ability to generate acid, can be manifested through touch or as a spray

[spoiler='Special Moves (Just had to add this):'] Acid Shield- The user is engulfed in acid to protect himself from physical contact. Acid Spit- The user transforms his/her mucus and/or spit into acid and spits it at enemies.[/spoiler]

Rival: Honestly hates all superhumans besides the ones he works with, but his main rivals are Carnage, Spiderman, and Venom. Pineapple.

Bio: Drake was a very friendly and sociable kid growing up. At the age of 14, Drake's uncle was killed in a skirmish between Spiderman and Venom (It just somehow ended up in Chicago). During his funeral, a close companion of his uncle, named Bruce, came to Drake and told him about a secret project he was working on. Taking him to a remote laboratory far from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, Bruce asked Drake if he would take part in an experiment his uncle had been working on to make the ultimate defense weapon. After Drake accepted, Bruce infused a chemical substance into Drake allowing him to cover himself in acid. But something went wrong, the chemical gave Drake more than just the acid shield, and also completely changed his personality. Drake murdered Bruce on the spot after going on a rampage. After help from a few superheroes, the authorities were able to take Drake to jail. But Drake burned this cell down with acid and escaped. He lived in isolation in an alleyway and constantly did drugs to keep himself from going into a rampage again. On his 16th birthday, a man dressed completely in black came to him, and offered him a way to control himself without drugs, in exchange for his loyalty. For saving his life, Drake devoted himself to accomplishing the man in black's goals, even if it cost him his life, and answered only to him for the next 6 years.
