Have you ever noticed that in any book or show that the Protagenist Always wins?
The alternative is usually depressing and gives the readers/viewers a sense of pointlessness, that all effort in the story was in vain.

The term "protagonist" just means the main character, through whose perspective we are to share and relate to. The antagonist is simply the force opposing the protagonist. Neither means good or evil. Hero and villain means good vs evil. A protagonist can be the story's villain, but to that character, the heroes are the antagonists.

We've seen the motives behind Aporia's plans, and we can see that Aporia's antagonist, Yusei, is a stubborn person who keeps insisting what Aporia experienced and knows is wrong, a lie, or can be fixed their own way. In fact, that's more or less Yusei's whole shtick during the duel with Team New World. Jose's story isn't true, Aporia's plan is BS, and the future can be decided their way.

A villain that's the protagonist is called an "Anti-Hero", I believe.

Anyway, Yusei's a prick. He heard the tale of Aporia's despair in the future and still believes that Synchro Summon is the way. Hilariously enough, Machine Emperors and Synchro Monsters are both at fault. People evolved too quickly using Synchros, and Machine Emperors got sick of it and wasted the city.

In a way, they're both at fault. Well, their monsters are, anyway.

Maybe Yusei/Team 5D's think if they defeat Machine Emperors now, MEs will not appear in the future (When people evolve with Synchro Summoning) because they will be defeated and crushed...that's why they don't believe in Yliaster.

Well, yeah they're both at fault. Tho, I don't remember in when in Yugioh 5D's/GX/DM the main characters were fault and wrong about something...actually, I do remember but nothing as in Yugioh 5D's.

I highly doubt that the destruction of these three Machine Emperors will stop a future destroyed by an army of Emperors.
It's Yugioh. I really doubt that Emperors will appear in the future (While some other plot is going on).

I highly doubt Konami is going to throw them away.
We'll probably see them in the Ark Cradle.
Although I love them, I'm kinda pessimistic about their survival after their defeat in this incoming episodes...

Also...Cherry idk if you posted this:
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's - Episode 138
The Path to the Future - The Rainbow Bridge Bifrost!
Yusei has been told he will die if he goes to the Ark Cradle by Sherry whom has seen the future. But for the city's future, he goes alone..

What the heck is Bifrost?

I am told that the Protagenist is the main hero and the Antagenist is the main villian.
That's because it's usually the case, but not always true by virtue of definition.

Protagonist: The main character in a literary work or drama.

Antagonist: The main character or force opposing the protagonist in a literary work or drama; An opponent or enemy.

Heroes and villains are independant concepts. Heroes are judged by heroic virtues. Villains are judged by villainous virtues. A villain in a protagonist rule is a villain protagonist, NOT an anti-hero.

An anti-hero is a heroic character who has leanings towards villainous virtues. For example, they may be jerks rather than kind-hearted people. They may advocate violence as a solution rather than peaceful methods. An anti-villain is the inverse. A villainous character with some heroic qualities.

Antihero: A protagonist who proceeds in an unheroic manner, such as by criminal means, via cowardly actions, or for mercenary goals.

An anti-hero is not a villain. Usually their goals are righteous, but their methods are not.

Possible, but I believe they have picked another part from Norse Mythology.

Bifrost was said to be a bridge, looking somewhat like a rainbow and reaching from Earth to Asgard (Asgard = Heaven)
It was believed that Bifrost was the only way for a mortal to reach Asgard, The Realm of The Gods, except dying a warriors death.

But either way, I have to agree on one thing.

The first images that pops into my head makes Bifros REALY unfitting since the design of Arc Cradle is very dark and menacing, something that does not work well with a beautifil rainbow bridge.

Regarding the Anti-Hero thing.

I think Seto Kaiba is a good example of a working Anti-Hero.
Not afraid of using any means he finds necessary and acts a lot like a complete jerk a lot of the times.
But mostly, he is just trying to protect Mokuba.
