evilfusion
My view on the 3 Yugioh protagonists: Yugi was clearly a good player who got lucksacky wins when shoved into a corner. However, his deck and style were solid enough to not care so long as it didn't go into outright cheating. Jaden's deck was so bogged down with situational sucky support cards that even his fairest wins were lucksacky as hell. His deck is horrible although the theme was acceptable. Yusei's deck is a bit conditional and underwhelming, but there is almost no cases where I genuinely think "He should never have won that duel". Yusei's comebacks are awesome because they rarely border on one card, but on a combo. As for ace cards, Stardust is Yusei's ace card. He occasionally uses other Synchros and stuff, but Stardust is his best card and it gets upgraded a lot. Like Jack has Red Dragon. I dont usually mind his Stardust wins because his deck focuses on summoning it. I do wish they'd give him other Synchros to use sometimes, though. Jaden's Neos wins got annoying as hell, combined with the fact there was barely any feasible reason why he should be winning the duel at all. Yugi/Atem lost 3 times. One to Kaiba (he forfeit, but his LP hit 0), one to Rafael. One to Yugi. Jaden lost 3 times officially, but several duels ended when he was about to lose. Zane beat him first, then Kaibaman, then Aster. Zane and Jesse have both been on the verge of beating him when they ended a duel. Yusei lost very few times. One was to Jack in a flashback (To me, this doesn't count). Once to Kiryu (Dark Signer). The duel was interrupted because losing was to DIE. I thought the fact it's very well known Yusei was going to lose to be a great twist, even if we knew he'd survive. And Jack quit a duel because winning would be empty if Yusei wasn't playing his best. The duel that annoyed me the most was Team Unicorn's. He should have lost for character development and stuff and subverting our "Yusei will always win" expectations. On that note, Yusei should lose to Jose/Aporia, but we know he won't. *sigh* They'll just find a different way to make Arc Cradle do stuff. iCherry
The Team Unicorn duel only proved that Breo should've been the leader, because Jean is an idiot. Apparently, Sherry is coming inside of Arc Cradle. So when they duel, the outcome might be different than it would've been in their first duel. (Starlight Road summoning Stardust and attacking the Sacred Knight for game.) There's a slight chance. But Yusei might lose, depending on if ZONE was nice enough to give Sherry the upgrade she needs. [/quote] True. Breo was the only one of the three who thought "Jean, don't be stupid!", although he clearly gave in to peer pressure when Andore didn't care much. Yusei vs Sherry the first time was inconclusive. She had 50 LP left, he had 100. His field was Stardust and Speed Warrior. She had no hand or field and over 4 SPC. The duel would be decided by her draw. She chose not to draw.
