Listen everyone. Just because I have been MIA doesn't mean you can takeover. Overdrive you have to PM me when there is someone who wants to join. We have talked about this.

*sigh*. Fine...
Anyway, what's so important about that accepting new members. Why can't we (Members of this club) simply say "Hello and welcome to Infinity Inc." ? Why does that member have to wait for you to say "accepted" ?

Well, the only thing you really see OF Zone is that one eye. And although Zone was upside down, you can see it distinctly enough to compare it to Yusei's. I didn't ever think ZONE was Yusei until the theories cropped up. Why would Yusei or his friends think "Oh, of course! ZONE is future Yusei!"

The only protagonist characters to see ZONE period were Yusei, Bruno, and Sherry. Yusei saw him again when getting Shooting Star Dragon. Sherry met ZONE again, but he took the form of her father at first. And only two episodes again did anyone else see ZONE, and Rua DID silently notice the shape of Yusei's D-Wheel vs ZONE. But by that time, the audience already knew because of Antinomy's flashback.

The very first time we saw Z-ONE, I seriously doubt anyone would´ve known then and there that he realy is Yusei from the future and the one pulling the strings because we were far from properly introduced to him and barely knew ANYTHING at all about him.

They didn´t say his name. (Z-ONE) (Eventhough that probably wouldn´t have helped)

He didn´t say anything (eventhough his voice is, obviously, completely different than Yusei´s)

They didn´t say what he was (The "God" of Yliaster) (I think)

All they showed was the left eye which atleast hinted that he was human.

That you had the theory however, I can accept.

If I recall the episode first showing ZONE, it was after the Z-ONE card was scanned. They appear in a huge white room, and spot some strange machine, which turns to them. The audience is treated to a close-up of his left eye, showing something human fused, at the very least. Fade to white, the characters woke up near the water, evidently unconscious. No one has a clue what it was.

ZONE's voice is heard when Bruno regains his memories. It sounds NOTHING like Yusei's. Not only is it modulated, but it doesn't sound like Yusei. And it shouldn't, since Zone!Yusei's ancient.

It wasn't even until later that it's hinted ZONE is related to Yliaster. Well, shortly afterwards. Placido refers to Yusei being chosen to receive a tablet as "God's whim", and Lucciano made a similar statement before the duel.

Although until recently, I never considered ZONE god-like. Once Placido was confirmed to be an android, I figured ZONE just made them and since they're cyborgs, they view him as a god. In retrospect, Yusei's technological skill would definitely have made him capable of making such sophisticated dueling androids, and may in fact be related to how Placido is a technopath. ZONE also claimed to have no feelings towards Antinomy or Aporia because they're mere memories/copies in robotic bodies.

I felt Aporia's backstory was infinitely more sympathetic than ZONE's. Unless next episode unravels the tragic tale behind ZONE's past, I don't see him as sympathetic, and more just someone who lost touch with hope and love and his extremist nature is the result. However, the pattern shows that he probably will have a tragic tale too, which will justify everything.

Antinomy's story wasn't tragic, per se.

Aporia's was downright aww-inducing. He lost his parents, he lost his lover, he lost the company of everyone, but found ZONE, Antinomy, and Paradox. While they vainly searched for a way to fix it, Paradox and Antinomy died, and even Aporia died in the end, his last wish being for ZONE to use his embodiments of despair to save the world. ZONE did seem rather touched by this request, but it must have been some time after that he lost all hope, being truly alone and having nothing but memories of his friends around him, deeming him their god, as he worked to manipulate his past-self's life.

One thing I'm curious about regarding the ZONE=Yusei is: Where did the past and present diverge? ZONE made a statement about manipulating events, and as stated previously, ZONE's first plan regarded the Zero Reverse incident, which didnt work as intended. ZONE has Yusei's criminal marker, but Yusei got that for trespassing into Neo Domino City and getting caught. If ZONE is Yusei from the future, when did the timeline split? What changes exist between ZONE's life and Yusei's life?

For in order for ZONE to be future Yusei, he had to have lived his life already, but then sent others back in time to correct the path of history, including the WRGP, which had the ultimate goal of completing the Circuit and materializing the Arc Cradle (future Satellite) above the City. So in ZONE's past, did Zero Reverse still happen? Then how was Zero Reverse partly ZONE's doing?

Antinomy made a statement about how Yusei Fudo (obviously a famous duelist in his time) used Synchros. So Zero Reverse still happened and ZONE also had Yusei's dreams and desires? ZONE has Yusei's D-Wheel, which he made himself while in Satellite. If ZONE later was behind Zero Reverse, Antinomy's flashback should not involve a D-Wheel that only exists because Zero Reverse happened prior to ZONE getting the power to manipulate time and events. Remember, Yusei's first custom D-Wheel was stolen by Jack.

Hello paradox discussion.

tl;dr If ZONE is Yusei, how much of Yusei's past is in common with ZONE's original past, if it wasn't until after the Machine Emperor revolution that ZONE had the power to manipulate the past (notably Zero Reverse)
