Makο
Fara'Gok stood there with a scowl on his face. "Your...mistake." He said. He quickly pressed a button on his wrist, causing an energy shield to form around each and every intruder. The door burst open, and several different Security members, all armed with various weaponry, came pouring in the Science lab, surrounding the captives in the energy shields. Two more Elite Guards came in, with active Energy Blades. Fara' turned on his intercom. "Jam all nearby comm signals, unless its under our code. Force-Eject the docked ship, starboard side. Activate EMP pulse, take down the ships shields and engines. Once at a safe distance, all starboard cannons fire at will." He looked back up. "Now you have about 60 seconds before your precious ship gets turned into space rubble. Tell me, why did you find it necessary to kill my comms officer? Why barge in here when I was only nice and courteous?"
Quiksilver
'It won't work, I'm afraid." The Alphyn's smile was patronizing now. "I have a auto-lock feature engaged on my ship, preventing force-ejections without a binary code I'm not willing to give up. A nice piece of illegal hardware, yes? Oh, and just try that EMP; it will take down your ship too, as they are connected. One more thing...reveal yourselves, boys!" Suddenly, more than half of the Security guards turned on the others, quickly riddling them with laserfire. The Elite Guards, ever loyal to Fara'Gok, were the last to go, but eventually they fell too. Then, many a gun was turned on Fara'Gok. "You see, I've been planning this for a while. Now, let's try this again. You will give me what I want, and then I will leave. Otherwise..." Halcyon's leered as he cocked his gun and the energy shield was disabled by a techinical-like device one of his men carried. "And don't even think about trying that little manuever again, or you won't survive the next attack...at least, with most of your limbs. And to answer your question, one less hostage is one less chance of revolt. Now, give me the chip, or you die."
Makο
Fara'Gok stood there, surprised at the sheer number of rebels. He still smirked. He took his shotgun out fast as lighting, and shot down two rebels, before dropping through the floor of the ship. Just as he began to drop down, though, he got nailed in the shoulder, chest, and left arm. Yelled in pain as he dropped down. Several Blast Doors came down, blocking the entrance and the hole, all covered in a yellow energy shield, telling you that it came straight from the ships Shields, almost Impossible to pierce with anything less than a Type-8 Photon Projector. Fara' landed in his quarters, and plugged Jeremy into the ships main console. "If they are willing to cause this much chaos just for you, than you must be really special. Can you unlock the binary? You must do it before the force eject or everyone on this ship will perish! That damn fool!" He said, holding his bleeding arm. "Calm down, captain. I will see what I can do." Jeremy made several hand movements, obviously doing something. He was suddenly startled. "I...I did it. I have the code! Unlocking ship now." There was a clunk sound nearby, followed by a whooshing noise. Fara' turned on his intercom. "Branden! Gather all troops who are still loyal. Kill the rebels. Make sure they don't escape." Just as he finished, he heard the EMP pulse, followed by volleys of Cannon fire. Fara' sighed with relief. It must of been just a small portion of the crew that rebelled. He pumped his shotgun, grabbed Jeremy, and moved out. (OOC: The pulse goes outward from a center area of The Torchlight, not affecting the Torchlight itself.)
Makο
(Sorta OOC: We have made a compromise^^) The Torchlights side cannons kept raining fire down the small ejected ship, eventually causing it to explode. The explosion, which was bigger than anticipated, rocked The Torchlight, causing Fara' to fall and scrap the wound in his arm up against the wall. He cringed at the pain, but kept moving. He eventually, he reached the Bridge, with a trail of blood leading from where he came. A few crew members came and helped him to his seat, while a few more went to get Medical Supplies. Branden moved down the hall, moving ever so closer the the Science Lab. He motioned his troops to stop, and began to creep forward. He told the rest to rush ahead. They all took defensive positions around the door. He turned on his intercom. "Open the door" (More OOC: I will let you choose his method of execution, whether it be suicide or to go out with a bang.)
Quiksilver
OoC: Yea, now remove the OoC posts from view. (i.e. Delete) IC: A voice suddenly beamed out of the intercom. "You have made a great mistake today, Fara'Gor. By refusing me you have put us all at risk!" Suddenly, a great BOOM! could be heard and the doors exploded outward, the blast coming dangerously close to Fara's crew members. Inside the lab, nothing left of the traitors could be seen. Only unrecognizable char marks where people once were and Dr. Onrai, shivering in a corner but protected by a personal shield, could be seen. Makο
Branden ran in, telling the other troops to secure the area. He helped Onrai up. "You ok, doc?" He asked. "Shaken, but not bruised." She said, still shaking. They looked around at the charred bodies. "Captain is way in over his head this time." She commented. They both walked back to the bridge, only to see Fara' kneeling over the young comms officer, who was the 1st one to die at the hands of the invaders. He stood back up. "She's dead." He said, with a frown on his face. Just as he began to walk away, Dr. Onrai went over and lifted one of the officer's arms. "On the contrary..." She mumbled. Fara' heard that and turned around. "You say what now?" He asked. "I might be able to bring her back." The doctor said, confident. "But thats impossible! Once someone dies, you can't bring him back!" Fara' tried to explain. "I have been experimenting recently on a method to do so. By sending steady streams of electricity through the body, I should be able to reactivate the bodies main functions. But I have to restore the tissue, and I must do it before Rigor Mortis sets in. I also can't do it if to many major systems are damaged." She said. She motioned a few troops to pick up the body, and walked back to what was left of the Lab. I really need to repair that... Fara' thought. Frybread002
"Hehehe thanks...oww Rey replied, after graciously accepting the help up, since he now has strong reason to believe that his ribs were either factured, or broken. After walking about 20 minutes to his allyway (his ribs are either fractured or broken), Rey dumped out the items from his bag that he stole; which included items like basic First Aid and medical supplies, a knife, and a flint (to make a fire.) Basic things anyone would need to survive any type of situation that you could buy at a store for pocket change. "So you still...ugh...still want to give me these back? CrystalCyae
Osanimu sat, bored silly, in the office. She sighed, and glanced at her watch. "He's late, what's taking so long? I thought he wanted me to make this ship for.." The door opened, and a tall man with red and green hair marched in. 'Ahh, Harge, you're here." Osanimu smiled. "You said you wanted me to create a ship for you?" The man nodded slowly. "And you know my reasons." Osanimu shook her head, then said. "Sure, I know your reasons, but do you honestly think ONE ship full of....hmmn...about TEN people will really help you recapture Jikalhua and stop the World Eaters reign on there?" The man frowned. 'Osanimu, I thought.." "For Jikalhua's sake, I'm not a traitor to the Jikalhu Harge. But, seriously, TEN people against MILLIONS of World Eaters seems a bit one-sided and unlikely, you must agree." Harge considered this in silence. "But, I can still make the ship for you. After all, boss said I had to help all clients, so I'm just doing my job. But maybe post-pone the "glorious" recapture of Jiklahua for later, when more then abaout 10 ships full of people are on our side." Harge nodded slowly. "Ok then, do that. Here." Harge tossed a piece of paper over. "Try and have it finished in a week, okay?" Osanimu smiled. "Sure, no problem." Harge smiled briefly and left. Osanimu sighed, and raked a hand through her hair, being careful around the ears. "Ok, one week, no problem." She gazed at the designs. "Or not...." Makο
Fara'Gok was sitting in the captains chair, impatiently waiting for the news on the Comms officer, who's name is Corinette. Brendan stood next to him, rubbing down his Rifle. He took a glimpse at Fara', then back at his own gun. "Ya know, I was wondering. When is the average time that Rigor Mortis sets in?" Brendan asked, still looking at his gun. "The average time takes in between 3 and 4 hours. Its been about 3 hours now. I'm getting worried." He said. Brendan stood up, obviously tired of waiting. "I'm going to the gun range. Call me once we are under attack again." He added, winking. Fara' chuckled at the boys wit, but his smile soon faded as the wait continued. *** Brendan practically skipped down the hall as he walked into the gun range, only to see 3 more troops practicing with their own weapons. He chuckled and walked up to them. "Hey boys." He said, giving one of them a pat on the back. "Oh, hey Brendan." Said one. He looked at the gun strapped to Brendan's back. He slyly smiled to himself. "How would you like to make a little bet." He asked, with only one intention in mind. "A bet? Hmm...interesting...I'm interested. How about, the first one to destroy all targets without missing wins." Brendan proposed. "Good. If you win, you get our ammo, guns, and 1000 Credits. But if we win, you have to be our slave for 6 months, doing whatever we say." "Its a deal!" Brendan said, shaking the hand of the soldier. The soldier walked up to the Range and took aim. He fired 10 shells towards the 10 targets. He hit all but one. He threw down his gun and let a swear word fly. he picked his gun back up and looked back at Brendan. "I doubt you can do any better!" He scowled, angry at his near miss. Brendan just silently grabbed his gun, and took aim. He took 9 shots, hitting 9 targets, 1 for each shot. He took aim again. Suddenly, the ship rumbled, causing Brendan to fall over and fire his gun in an awkward direction. It bounced around inside the Firing Range, hitting the target after out 20 bounces. Brendan stood up, saw the result, took their guns and said, "Later!", running down the hall, arms full. "Thats what you get for making a bet with someone who practiced with weapons his ENTIRE life." One guy said. "Shut up." The other said. *** Brendan came running back to the Bridge, only to see everything spread out around, like a bomb hit. At the center of the so-called bomb, there sat the Comms officer. Dr. Onrai was sitting next to her, and Fara' was standing. Brendan ran up. "What happened?!?" He asked, looking around. "We have brought Corinette back to life!" Dr. Onrai said, proud of her success. "I can see that." He said, "I meant the explosion." "Well, apparently, our officer here is part Psychic. When she came back, she unknowingly let out a Psi blast. Luckily, it wasn't major, so it caused no physical damage to any of us." Fara' explained. "It...it wasn't on purpose..." Corinette said, shivering. Dr. Onrai signaled two other woman to take Corinette back to here room. Fara' looked at Jeremy. "Take us to a random coordinate." He said, "We've spent enough time here." CrystalCyae
Osanimu lugged a ship load of metal towards the ship building area. "Sometimes, I think I should TELL those workers to do this bit, and let me do the building." She thought almost grumpily. Shaking her head, and pulling, she got the load of metal to the building area. Noticing some of the workers sitting around having coffee, she screamed, "You lazy idiots, get back to work you slobs!" The workers stood up imeaditely, walking briskly to the space where the basic outline of the ship had been created. Barking new orders, the workers began to grab the meatl and hammer it into place, whilst others worked on the equipment to be placed inside. Sighing, Osanimu grabbed the design for the multi-functional missile launcher Harge wanted attached to the bottom of his ship. "Ugghh." She groaned. Grabbing a hammer and some wires and metal, she sat down and began the creation of the launcher.
Aesirson
Jessi heard the message and looked at Lars. "It appears that I have to go. Bye~!" She then packed her guitar again and ran away. Lars stood there, astonished by Jessi's hasty retreat. He then heard Lepidtra speaking. "I am Lars of the Skreech!" He shouted. "And I need to capture that Alphyn. I'm on your side!" He was hoping that they would accept him as an ally. He liked to work with others.
Quiksilver
"Alright, tracker indicates you made it out in time. Good." The voice of Akkoro crackled briefly over the intercom between him in Jessi. "We dealt with the main threat and have come out with the info the Pirates needed. So, let's not waste anymore time. We need to get this information to the Pirates, who have arranged the pickup on..." The voice paused; Akkoro was evidently reading something. "Temple II, a space station orbiting Zheng Huo. I will meet you at my ship, Jessi. Good luck." *** "Tracking course laid in, Captain." One of the Firelight crew members said. "We're on course to...the Voog system. Only known hospitable planet; Zheng Huo..." *** "Is everyone, alright in there?" Jace cried, pushing open the hull door to the Star Rose. "What's going on in there- oh, hello." Jace said, finally seeing Lars. "Is everything alright? I saw a bomb go off and wondering if I could- hang on." Jace's intercom suddenly beeped, and he picked up the transmitter from his belt and put it in his ear. "Hello?" He asked quietly, turning away from the Skreech. "Jace! Were are you?" It was Sparks. "I'm at the ship!" Jace replied, puzzled. "And I though you were somewhere around here too!" "Naw, I'm, er, still at the bar. But it doesn't matter! I just landed the best deal of our life!" The bot cried ecstatically. Now Jace was interested. "Really?" He said. "Yea! There's a couple of Erglics who've heard of us and saidthey would like to go to Zheng Huo. There's apparently a Black Nova Pirate attack going on there, and they want to go if they see if their family, which hails from Zhengo Huo, is alright! I told them, they were crazy, but they said they would pay 20,000 creds to go!" "Now hold on." Jace said. "Aren't we transporting a M'rie'au to somewhere?" "Yeah, but Zheng Huo is on the way! We can drop off the Erglics, then the M'rie'au! It's great, right!" "Definitely. I gotta go now, but will talk about the possibilites later." Jace de-activated the communicator and turned back to Lars, a smile now on his face. "So, is everything alright?" He asked again. He no longer wanted to find out what was happening to the ship, not really, all he wanted to do was get started on the trip to Zheng Huo. But, y'know, gotta be polite! *** The World-Eater examined the solar system closely through the vewscreen. Taken from twenty klicks off, it was still a good shot and showed the young system in its full glory, with all the lurid colors of the gas giants, young red star and one hospitable planet shown. The planet interested the World-Eater the most, and he focused in on it. Oh yes- it would be a good harvest alright. Nice hydrogen and soil levels. Would be quite a prize. Apparently the Milky Way denizens had seen that two, cause the World-Eater could see a couple frigate-sized ships and a couple of huge space station orbiting it. No matter. They would be taken care off. The World-Eater pressed a button on the console he was working at. Instantly, a tiny hologram of another World-Eater came up. The Oracle of Death himself. "Master." The first World-Eater said in a spitting, harsh tongue. "I have found a planet within specifications. It is known as Zheng Huo."
Aesirson
In fact, Jessi had already made it to the ship, somehow. "I'm already there, fishface." Time Psyduck
Tim pushed himself to his feet, and pulled the mask back over his face. "You can change the air back now," he told Lepidtra, "what's going on with our other guests?" "One of them's gone," she explained, "the other one claims to be after the first intruder, and there's another person there now. The new one's human. Oh and I've released the deadlock," she added. Tim set off as a fast pace, but stopped after a few feet, holding his side. That shot took more from me that I thought, he realised. "ANNA, please transfer to the forward section and greet our guests. I'll be up there as soon as I can." Lepidtra re-opened the communications channel to the front of the ship. "A member of the crew will be with you shortly. Please wait," she told the men, in a neutral voice. A moment later, ANNA seemed to blink into existence very close to them. "Good morning gentlemen, and welcome to the Star Rose. Our captain will be with you shortly. May I be of assistance?"
Quiksilver
"Yes, as a matter of fact you could." Jace said. "I was just wondering whether or not if everyone is okay aboard the ship. I saw the explosion and felt compelled to see if everyone was alright. Your friend here, though," -Jace gestured towards Lars- "has not been very forthcoming." *** "Too slow, Darth Vader." A voice remarked as the Daruu Centaurion Sabre's hull doors opened. Akkoro could be seen standing there, though you could probably guess that by his comment. Jessi was one of the few people who knew Akkoro was a fan of old Earth movies. "Though you're remarkbly sneaky," Akkoro went on, smiling slightly. "I didn't notice you until you said that over the intercom."
Makο
"Zheng Huo, within site." A crew member reported. "Hospitable conditions. Decent Population. 8 seas, 6 major continents, 86 forests, very healthy planet." He added. Fara' looked out the view port. The very green, very blue, very...Earth like planet. He checked the scanner. Nothing......I have a bad feeling about this. "Keep on radar. Report to me any activity." He reported to the officer. "Expecting company?" Jeremy remarked. "Just a feeling..." He sighed. "How is Corinette?" "She is recovering. She is able to converse, but doesn't walk. Our Med officer says that she will be fully recovered after about 6 hours." Jeremy responded. Brendan, who was sitting in the corner, doing his average gun-polishing, sat up. "Thats it, I can't take it! I'm so restless." He said, tossing his gun around. "I wish something exciting would happen." "Be careful." Fara' commented. "Sometimes, what you wish for is not what you expect." Another officer came up to Fara'. "Corinette would like to see you." He said. Fara' nodded and stood up, going with him.
CrystalCyae
Osanimu welded the final piece into place, stepped back, and admired the handwork of herself and the workers. The ship before them was a beauty of black metal, inside some of the most advanced technology. Whipping out a phone from her pocket, Osanimu called Harge. "Yea, Harge, the ship's ready early. You can come pick it up now if you'd like..." Harge left happy, sailing the ship into a sky. Osanimu watched him go, slightly sad. "Damn, I have my own spaceship, yet I'm stuck here, instead of flying around the skies." She thought grumpily. Making a quick decision, she ran to her hanger, where the small ship was waiting. After making sure all was in order, she docked out, and slowly left the place. High above it all...That's how Osanimu liked it. Flying fast and high, wind in her hair, blowing her ears back, sweeping away her worries and troubles. She loop-the-looped, then stopped. "Hmmn, Boss isn't expecting any customers for the week, since most workplaces are back at work, and festivals are being prepared. It wouldn't hurt to take the ship for a quick joyride through the expanse of space.... Maybe I'll even visit Saiyr back on Zheng Hou, where I left him at his wish." She turned her ship upwards, towards the clouds, and pulled the lever marked Quantum Drive. The ship halted momentarily, then, faster than lighting, shot of towards the stars of space. Time Psyduck
"The person alongside you," ANNA explained, "is not a member of the crew. The captain will inform you of what he deems pertinent when he arrives, however there are no casualties or fatalities amongst the crew." In the main access corridor, which ran the length of the hold, and was in fact the key that allowed the hold itself to remain under vacuum, Tim pulled off the breathing mask and leaned against the wall, clutching his side. At some point Lepidtra would probably have to look at it, but for now there were the two other people aboard their ship. Hopefully, however, they wouldn't be quite as much of a problem as the first one. He headed along the main corridor and caught up to where ANNA was, who stepped aside as he approached. "Good morning gentlemen," he greeted them, wincing very slightly from his side, "and what business do you have here today?" Lepidtra, meanwhile, had began to make a more in-depth assessment of the damage to the rear section. It wasn't serious, other than the hold doors, but would still take time to fix. Fortunately, since the outer space-frame was intact, the ship could still fly, once the rear was cleaned up from the blast of the last bomb. Makο
Fara'Gok followed the officer into Corinette's room. She was sitting on her bed, apparently testing her feet. She noticed that Fara' had walked in and sat still. Fara' took a seat on a nearby chair. "What did you want to see me about?" He asked. "I...ever since I came back...I've been getting these...visions..." She started. She looked down, sadly, and yet, darkly. "We shouldn't be here." She said, looking back up. "Well, why not?" Fara' asked. "I...I don't know!" She yelled, tears forming. "Now, calm down. You've been through a lot. Get some rest." Fara' said. Suddenly, the intercom turned on. "Yo, Captain. Could you come to the bridge?" The voice of Brendan asked. Fara' sat up, leaving Corinette, who was now sleeping. Fara' walked up to Brendan. "Is something the matter?" He asked. "You might wanna look at this." He answered, showing him the view screen. Multiple ships were approaching the planet from various directions. Fara' just stared for a few minutes. "Prime shields. Tell all gunners to get to their stations. I have a feeling we're in for a fight. (OOC: Hmm...a mile long sleek purple ship in orbit. Hard to ignore, huh.) Quiksilver
"Good day sir." Jace said impatiently, quickly becoming tired of all the explanations. "I'm Jace Orionis. I just popped in here to see if anyone was harmed by the blast and if so, what I could do to help." He noticed Tim holding his side. "Is everything all right Mr., ah...what is your name, mate?" He glanced at the Skreech in a obvious gesture of hostility. This was not borne from simple racism like the platform official, but rather from a nasty experience Jace had with several Skreech con-artists in the Far Rim. It was not...enjoyable, to day the least.
Time Psyduck
"Huh?" ANNA turned to see Tim still holding his side, and moved towards him to help him. "I'm fine," he insisted, both the the AI and the concerned passer-by. "The name's Tim Jones," he added, "and you don't need to worry. The blast was outside the ship, so no-one was injured." He looked at ANNA, who gave a nod, confirming that Lepidtra had remained uninjured from the blasts. "Lep, what's the damage," he added, reaching for a communicator fixed into the wall. "The outer hull took minimal damage," she explained, "the effect of the last bomb was dampened because most of the energy was sent away from us. There are some cargo bay doors broken, but nothing that stops us flying." Better than I expected then, Tim decided. "As you may have gathered, the ship itself is still sound, so thanks for the offer, but it's not needed."
Premier Alexander Romanov
The M'rie'au sighed as shi tended to Rey's wounds. "At least we can pay back the people for you using the items." Shi replied. "My name is Tu'lo'sst'na'al'llr, Chief of Chiefs of Tribe Wy'a'ar'pi of Clan Tf'fen'alf'a'an. I am on an important mission from the Assembly of Chiefs of Chiefs of Chiefs. Would you care to join me?" Admiral Krutchnikov was bored, and hadn't heard from Kerrigan from a while. After making sure the fleet didn't look suspicious, he contacted Kerrigan. "Status report." Quiksilver
Alright then. I guess I'm not needed, so, Cheerio!" Jace said happily. He began to stroll back to his ship when his stomachache hit him again. Almost keeling over, he began to run back to the ship, feeling something rise in his throat as he did so. BATHROOM!!! *** "Cloaking devices have been engaged, sir." The World-Eater reported dutifully, glancing around the cylinder-shaped room that made up the core of most World-Eater ships until his eyes finally alighted on the holographic form of the Oracle of Death. The Oracle looked unusually happy, and the hologram said, "Good job, Sub-Proctor. We will begin attack at 0700 hours tomorrow afternoon." The Sub-Proctor nodded and murmured the traditonal World-Eater goodbye cry. As his superior, the Oracle remained silent, and after the Sub-Proctor had finished, the Oracle signed off. Reclining back into his chair, back on Nar Graddar, World-Eater homeworld in the Andromeda Galaxy, the Oracle reflected on the decision to send the fleet to the Milky Way using the Portal. Once more, he smiled at the wiseness of his decision. He was going to meet the rest of the Oracles that evening, and the Oracle of Death couldn't wait to rub it in. Oh, it would be the Oracle of Death who would be proclaimed this time! The Right-Hand Man and Procuror of New Blood! Finally, that position would be his!!! Aesirson
"How the hell did you get here so quickly?" Jessi said and then entered Akkoro's ship. "Hey, we're going to Temple II, right? You know there's a chick named Kerrigan that I need to take care of. She fiddled in my business once and if we could find her you would be a nice fish." Time Psyduck
"Well bye then," Tim replied quietly as the human walked off the ship. He turned to the Skreech nearby, who he thought he recognised as the same one who was outside before, and who didn't seem to have done anything. "And you, who are you, and why are you aboard my ship?" Tim was probably more accepting of other races than many humans - given that he shared his ship with a member of a race that didn't breath the same atmosphere as him, it was probably no great surprise - but when people came aboard his ship and lacked the courtesy to introduce themselves, he was likely to run out of patience fairly rapidly, especially since his side was rather distraction.
