Is it my laptop or do I see scanlines? <.<

You might have had good lighting but it was killed when you made the HUGE blur on the BG combined with the HUGE sharpen of the focal. It contrast too much.
You almost have floating head syndrome so watch that. =/
Colors are fine but my eye keeps going to the bottom left of the focal to were the C4Ds are too sharpened.

Anyways, the fractals seem abit over sharpened, Youve got good lighting, Depth is ok, i feel BG's blurred a bit much.

And really listen to LZ about that floating head syndrome

Overall, its appealing and could be better, but good job.

I have updated it once again. It doesn't look much difference, but it is a tiny bit better.

bg is way too blurred. I m liking ur lighting and the colors are pretty good. the updated version is a pretty solid improvment

You made the stock worse..... learn not to spam effects and your lighting is rubbish. Lighting should be strong and natural, it also shouldnt be all over your piece, it should focus on your focal point.
