Guest Mako109
I was thinking...A lot of newbs and/or n00bs post there cards, whether in Realistic, Pop Culture, or AoC, that are not to good. Those failed results (for most of them, anyway) tend to get a lot of posts because: A. People gotta hate. B. They want to help. C. Both. They leave the actual GOOD cards relatively unnoticed. There should be a First try thread, for members who are just learning the ropes to card making. That way, the other cards that are relatively good get more reviews. NOTE: Flaming and/or Unnecessary in that thread should be against the rules. Good idea? Bad idea? What do you think? (5 support)
Kaisu
Support. I said this a year ago and everyone began to say that 'if we do this the n00bs will never improve'. But still. It's much more reasonable than having RC cluttered.

JG.
Or maybe make an RC-subforum that members with say, 150 posts or under have to post in before they can post in RC. And if they post in regular RC they get banned, since then they obviously didn't read the rules.
Admiral Tim
are you suggesting an entire new thread for newb's cards????? I don't won't to go in there and rate horrible cards which will offend the person, the truth is that the no one will want to go into a section where the vast majority of cards are bad and unplayable. Actually, people who want to help newbs get better will go in there. And flamers also will, but that's another story.
Guest Mako109
Hmm...JG's idea for a sub section is actually pretty good. They might be able to do that instead... and yes. Flamers WILL go there, but I think I might know how to make up for that. Is it possible for the Admins to edit the site, and make it so that only Mods, Admins, or people with 150 or under posts can post in there? That can be done, but it kinda defeats the purpose of the people willing to help them get better. Of course, you could make an entire new usergroup that also has access, but that's more effort than it's worth IMO.
Мερhilεs
It may not be too bad of an idea. And it's true. Really good cards in AoC/RC/PC coud get 1000 views, but in the same amount of time a single crap card could get 3000. It's annoying and strange. Like cruel but unusual punishment. Support. The only thing is, you have noobs commenting on noobs commenting on noobs... and some of them like to leave 1 word answers...
Guest Mako109
Yea, noobs tend to leave those 1 word things. Maybe they could create a group of...helper mods, maybe? a group of Mods who's soul purpose is to, whiling still modding the new thread, to help newbs and n00bs alike to become better. Smesh
Stuff like this has been suggested many times has been shot down. I don't support them HAVING to, but somehwere to practice would be nice. Probably a stuck thread in RC. LCM is supposed to serve this purpose, I believe, but is becoming inactive. LiAM
It looks better on paper. Noobs wont know to go there and members wont bother cos no one likes noob cards. If noobs post their cards as attachments in Your Deck section, what makes you think they'll use this?
Guest Mako109
Maybe all new members will have a pop up that tells them to read the rules before anything else! owait. pop-up blockers. I'll think of something...
LiAM
How about just a Message board notice that comes above all Forum sections as a one time event when you login for the first time after validating e-mail.Have a link saying: Post your first card here. Too much work to get sorted anyway.

Yankee
The mods have discussed the creation of a Sub Forum in RC for new card makers. As of now, the discussions have obviously produced nothing.
