Spoon
I'm still not satisfied, I'm bored and I have a fitting card in my collection... that means: More 1on1s! Rules:- First one to post who thinks that he/she can beat me (and fulfill the not so easy requirements this time) is my opponent.- First to 4 votes wins.- Prize: 1 Rep Card Requirements:I didn't choose those overblown words in the topic without a reason ;) Make an Effect Monster Card (can also be Fusion, Synchro or Ritual) that, under certain conditions, wins the Duel (like Exodia, Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord or Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes). That's all. [spoiler=Galadrien's card (4 Votes)]Lore:You can Special Summon this card from your hand, if you do, decrease this card's DEF by 1000. This card's ATK is unaffected by card effects. During each of the Standby Phases, place 1 Mini-Victory Slab Counter on this card. During each of the End Phases, decrease this card's DEF by 500. When this card's DEF reaches 0, destroy this card. When there are 10 Mini-Victory Slab Counters on this card, you win the Duel. [spoiler=Spoon's card (1 Vote)]Lore:"Night's End Sorcerer" + 2 or more non-Tuner Spellcaster-Type monstersEach time you Special Summon a Spellcaster-Type monster (including Synchro and Fusion Summon), place Spell Counters on this card equal to the Level of the Summoned monster (max. 50). This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Spell Counter on it. Spell Counters on this card cannot be removed except by it's own effect. Once per turn, you can remove up to 8 Spell Counters from this card to return Spellcaster-Type monsters from your Graveyard to your hand whose total Level is equal to the number of removed Spell Counters. During your opponents End Phase, if there are 50 Spell Counters on this card, you win the Duel. May the best Card Maker win :) So long, Spoon

Phantom M.C.
not my best card, but it'll have to do [spoiler=card]Lore:You can Special Summon this card from your hand, if you do, decrease this card's DEF by 1000. NightGuardian1764
Spoon gets my vote. Galadrien: If it is unaffected by card effects, that self-destruct effect is not needed. Moreover, how your opponent gonna defeat it? It is unaffected by card effects, Destroys it by battle? No, your opponent must got 3000 ATK monster before there are 10 Counters, I suggest that it's hard to do like that. In addition YOU WIN before the DEF becomes 0. Also, your opponent cannot decrease its DEF as it's unaffected by card effects. Oped.

Spoon
Thanks for the votes, but I guess it's better to wait for Galadrien to clarify the facts. If there is nothing to clarify, those votes count of course.

Also, your opponent cannot decrease its DEF as it's unaffected by card effects. Oped. read the effect again, you are really wrong, only it's ATK is unaffected by card effects, so your opponent could still use card effects to decrease its def, and also, if you did some counting, you would find that with this card's original DEF as 5000, it would only get 9 counters before its def reaches 0, so you would need DEF boosting cards to make it work. and if you use its ss effect with its DEF as 4000, you would even need more boosts to its def. @dyspraxia: wtf, you did the same thing on my other 1on1, you're reason is always: "i don't understand galadrien's card" do you have something against me? hexcalibrate
no i have no problem with you, i'm just not that smart and i think your cards are very complicated and i couldn't understand it thats all.
Spoon
I guess "I don't understand it" isn't a valid reason, because as I see it, the card works. So no votes yet, Dr. Wily, dyspraxia, sorry, but please vote again. Oh, and keep any kind of accusations out of my threads, thanks.
RedRuler
I vote for Gladrien's card, i understood it's effect and is useful and more aplicable than Spoon's card, which effect is hard to aplicate.
Newfie Kuriboh Shark
galadrien cause his effect is easier and simpler sorry if your offended spoon
Spoon
Thanks for your votes... though I doubt that any of the effects is simple... but anyways, if that's how you feel, it's 0-2.

Zextra
I vote for Spoon. Sorry, Galadrien. I really like the idea you made, but it just seems to be too hard to pull off. When its DEF reaches the 1500-ish range, it makes it an easy target to kill.Spoon's on the other hand, is easy to kill in the beginning, but is highly effective in Spellcaster Decks, where Special Summons are quite common. Therefore, the card's effect is easier to activate. It was close, and Galadrien, really nice card (I will give both of you a rep each), but my vote goes to Spoon for more playability. Spoon
Thanks for voting, it could really get close this time... and I get a vote for playability, never thought that would be possible
chedbonlahor
OK THIS IS REDICULOUS!!!!! King of Dyspraxia HadesRuler1 and newfie1 I'm getting royally p***ed off when you comment on 1 on 1s like you do. You cant enter the fray and weigh in on a 1 on 1 if you dont understand the cards, it's simply not fair. If you dont understand a card submitted then that is YOUR problem and you are not in a position to call a winner either way. Now, I know from being here and I know from experience that Spoon and Galadrien are top card-makers and any confusion you have about the cards is yours alone. I promise you all that if I see any more voting along the lines of: -didn't understand the effect so the other guy wins.....or-the effect was too long the other guy wins I will have to call the moderator in because voting like this makes a mockery of the 1 on 1 section and makes it difficult for good card makers like these to get good feedback. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now to voting, this one is a toughie, it's in fact one of the hardest ones i've had to call. I am going to have to give the vote to Galadrien. Spoon your card under normal circumstances is incredible, I like the usage of the counters and the strategy involved, the imagery is great and it is overall a fantastic card, however Galadrien's card is exceptional, the different types of tactics that come into play when using his card, which is more DEF rather than token based is very intruiging. It's feels more like a climactic countdown with Galadrien's card, I could imaging sitting there with 500 DEF and praying for my opponent to end the turn. I guess that Galadrien GMV as it would feel like a greater achivement to win using his card rather than yours spoon, you were bested by pure brilliance here. Spoon
Yes, I still wish this forum had an ignore button... but since it's all about opinion in this Section of the forum, I can't blame them either... I mean, I can, but I can't just ignore their votes. But... well, the rules don't specifically say that I can't but I assume if I just could ignore votes as I pleased, chaos would be assured. Anyways, thank you for voting, that makes it 3-1 for Mr. Galadrien... if you should win this, I'll give you the paycheck for it in the Arena ;)
