Merci
Protheus stirred. He knew something, or he sensed something unmistakably familiar, but it disappeared just as fast. "Nearly as I thought." He muttered to himself. "And I don't usually get nearly's. Not at all, not at all...... It's close enough, but not enough to confirm my suspicions....just yet." And he continued to stare into the sky. There were plenty of strong-willed people in this world, and his experience of people like them made it very easy to manipulate them and keep them strong-willed. He grinned as he continued to stare into the sky. Everything will be destroyed, the worlds, the gods, everything.
evilfusion
David's reaction to the disappearance was along the lines of mild surprise more than Shihiro's more bewildered one. "They disappeared," he commented. Although his expression and tone gave nothing away, he was internally blown away by the occurrence. However, he shrugged it off. "Pity, I wouldn't have minded watching that duel," he said, turning and starting to walk away. I wouldn't have minded a duel, either, but there will be other opponents. He stopped and cast a look over his shoulder at Shihiro. "You coming this way?" he asked. Premier Alexander Romanov
Bast landed in Protheus' office. "My liege, Eria has disappeared. I think SHE might be involved, considering that several of our faction members have disappeared as well. There is a good chance that SHE might be picking them off one by one." Itsu followed. "While we're at it, let's find Trixie as well. She's been missing as well." Itsu was a bit worried that her friends were missing. Jenny watched from nearby. <Hmm...I'm wondering where Trixie went as well...> Paradox drew her card. "I set a face-down monster, then end my turn." Meanwhile, Trixie was working at Adequate Buy on her first day on the job. Unfortunately, she had totally forgotten to tell Itsu about it.
encapturer
Eria felt another surge of pain, however, it wasn't so strong as to cause her to interrupt the duel again. This time, she just drew her card. The opponent's field had two monsters and three traps. Eria needed to get a caster on the field to begin her offensive. Hopefully her next draw will give her something useful... Fortunately, one came as her next draw. "As before, Mana Generator gets a mana counter, bringing its total to two... I then summon Armory Spellweaver." A magician spawned on Eria's field, holding a blade that glowed green like her generator tower. Not done, Eria flipped her facedown monster over. "I flip summon Spellweaver Guard, and it gets three Mana counters for being summoned normally." The guard, sword and shield in hand, appeared and shifted to an aggressive stance. He began to glow green as well when the Mana counters were added to him "Finally I activate Mana Release, selecting my Spellweaver Guard." The spell caused the Mana around him guard to glow, threatening to destroy him. "While it destroys one of my monsters, it also forces you to destroy one of yours. Which will you choose?" Eria finally asked her opponent, not sarcastically, but calmly.
Normal Spell Select one of the monsters you control with mana counters, and your opponent selects a monster they control. Premier Alexander Romanov
"I think I will choose neither." Paradox replied, flipping up one of her Traps, which depicted a dome of translucent energy protecting something from a large explosion. "I activate Destruction Jammer, preventing your effect from activating by discarding Quillbolt Hedgehog from my hand." As she discarded her card, a translucent, dome-shaped energy shield like the one in the card's image formed around Paradox's side of the field, and protected her from the effect. Takashi125
Shihiro blinked. He was a little surprised by how calm David was despite this bizarre event. "Uh... no... well... I was going to watch the duel... until Eria disappeared... since there's nothing we can do... we'll just have to hope she's alright... I'll be heading back to my dorm room then...." With that he turned and walked away. "Something big is going on..." He thought.
encapturer
((I guess I should have not assumed you'd let the spell go through. Edited previous post.)) The glowing mana fizzled down due to Paradox's counter, and returned to it's neutral state around Spellweaver Guard. Eria was unfazed, however. She thought about continuing her assault, but that would have to wait until next turn. "Armory Spellweaver uses this turn to gather Mana," Eria said. The magician responded by chanting, forming another green ball, this time floating around itself. "I then set one card and end my turn." As she ended her turn, the energy from the duel began to flow into her. It felt good, but she forced herself to focus on the duel at hand. Losing herself in this situation won't do her any good. Merci
"What?" Protheus said. His suspicions have been confirmed. Everything happens at once. "Well, that's disturbing news. Sometimes I wonder why I myself don't do that. Blackstone Dresden
"Missing as well?" Ruby asked, sighing, "Itsy, stop being so damned dramatic." She told her friend, "Christ lady, I overslept, I didn't exactly get attacked by a ruthless monster." She sighed and looked down at her arm, still in its sling, "Well, not today at least." She muttered, suddenly reminded of why she can't go home, "Trust me, there's one of us here that has the right to be overly dramatic, it sure as hell ain't you. YOU'RE not the one crawling down a ladder with only one functional arm. YOU'RE not the one who's own BROTHER broke her arm." She reached the bottom rung on the ladder and stepped to the side, slouching down next to the wall and cradling her broken arm, "I think I'll skip dinner..." She whispered as soon as Itsu stepped down, "I'm not hungry anymore." Despite their total invisibility, Itsu was suddenly shaken by the collective growl of the Crystal Beasts and Dark Panther, and felt the piercing glare of the rest of the Neo Spacians and Honest, with even Rainbow Dragon's inaudible roar sending a chill down her spine. Barian Warlord
Lance had just dueled a weirdo who talked about world domination on his way to his favorite napping spot when he saw the ultra deluxe parfait in a store and decided he'd have one before he took his nap, though his guard was down if someone wanted to talk to him or challenge him to a duel he'd be ready. Haseo has skipped most of the day and had found himself board out of his mind so he decided he'd look for a good duel but he couldn't find anyone who seemed interested. He ended up hanging out at the card shop hoping someone would come that could offer him a challenge.
evilfusion
Unfazed by Shihiro's disinterest in further socializing, David left the hallways to wander around the campus or the city itself. The nice thing about the academy location was that students weren't limited to their dorms or a very select number of locations to wander around on their days off or after class. The same wouldn't be true if they were on an island or something ridiculous as that. Since the duel he had wanted to spectate had mysteriously disappeared, he found that his desire to have another game after the test was stronger than before. But who to face? He didn't want to put someone on the spot if they weren't interested, and he wanted an opponent that could give him a challenge. Eventually his wanderings brought him to the card shop, a fact that sparked his interest. Duelists were always around here, so he could easily find someone to challenge, whether it be someone who was just browsing, or someone wishing to test out recent purchases. His eyes scanned the selection of people. Who to pick, who to pick?
Red Ryu
Ryu had already left school and was walking the streets. While walking back he heard a voice from behind him. "Hey wait up!" Ryu turned around and noticed a girl was following him from behind. Sure enough it was Wendy who was following him from behind, he was a tad confused since he didn't know her too well but he might as well stop and say hello since he had a very friendly nature. Wendy stopped running as she halted right in front of Ryu, she stopped for a second to catch her breath and looked up at him, "Sorry I just wanted to say hello." "uhhh...well hello there...sorry I'm bad with names, you are?" Ryu said with a chuckle. "I'm Wendy, Wendy Mason and I know who you are, your Ryu Storm" she said pointing her finger at him. He looked up and said, "Well this is very true, unless my named changed or I'm an impostor, heh. So what brings your attention to me?" he asked. "I just wanted to say hi and get to know you...hey why don't we go see other student while school is out, it'll be a good idea" she said looking at him with enthusiasm. "Well I did want to go around the city for a bit, but maybe I can duel someone...and this girl is nice enough so why not" Ryu thought to himself. "Alright Wendy, if you want to go meet people we can do it, although...is there a reason you want me to come with you for this?" he asked curiously. "Ehhh...well I'm kinda quiet around people so I want someone to come with me so I can talk better, I'm more comfortable in groups rather than one on one talks" Wendy said with good enthusiasm. "I still don't get why she asked me of all people...but I'll go along with it" as he sulked his head down with embarrassment. Wendy grabbed his hand and said, "Come on, some students are heading home already so lets meet them before we lose sight of them" She ran off dragging Ryu with her and he ran to keep up with her grip. Barian Warlord
Haseo noticed someone that gave off a strong impression enter the card shop, after watching him he decided that it would be fun to try his hand at him and got up. Eventually he got up and walked over to the man with a smile on his face, Hey, you wouldn't happen to be looking for for an opponent in a duel would you. It had been a while since Haseo had had a challenging duel, not even the teachers had given him a good duel recently and this person seemed like he could actually bring a challenge. evilfusion
David shifted his gave to Haseo. "Hm? Oh, as a matter of fact, I sort of was, heh," he admitted, smiling a little. "Would you be interested?" he asked. It could, after all, have just been an observation rather than a challenge. "I'm David, and I think I recognize you, but can't place your name." He tapped a finger to his chin thoughtfully before passing the thought off with a half shrug. It would come as no surprise if the other person was a student he had passed in the halls or even had class with. With time he might get to know everyone else in the school, however unlikely. He took a moment to take his deck out and slide it into the slot of his Duel Disk, letting the automatic shuffler do its thing, and activated the disk. He then flicked five cards into his hand without looking at them. "Would you mind if I take the first move or would you like that honor?"
Barian Warlord
Hasoe chuckled at his opponents comment, after his opponent drew his cards Haseo did the same, I don't mind you going first, my deck works well whether I go first or not. Haseo was surprised that the other person seemed to have recognized him seeing as Haseo didn't remember him but it could just be a case of someone he hadn't paid attention to, but with the atmosphere around his opponent he would have remembered him. Haseo looked at his hand and began to formulate his strategy, it was unlikely that he would get as quick of a win as he had with that teacher. evilfusion
David hid a smirk. To let his deck get a first turn setup was ideal, although he never cared to admit this fact. "Very well...my turn!" he flicked a sixth card into his hand and looked the cards over quickly, his eyes resting on several of them. "I summon Infernity Reloader!" In a flash, a monster with a gun barrel body appeared in front of him, spinning the barrels menacingly. (Lvl 1, 900/0) "Next, I discard Infernity Destroyer from my hand to Special Summon Dark Grepher!" By placing one card into his graveyard slot, David slapped a second monster onto his Disk, and a warrior in gray armor appeared, grinning widely. (Lvl 4, 1700/1600) "I activate Grepher's effect! By discarding one DARK monster from my hand, such as Infernity Avenger, I can send one DARK monster from my deck to the Graveyard, such as Infernity Archfiend!" "I place two cards facedown, and activate Infernity Reloader's effect! Once per turn, while my hand is at 0, I draw one card from my deck. If it is a monster card, my opponent takes 200 points of damage for every level of the drawn monster. However, if it is not a monster card, I take 500 points of damage." David smiled and drew his card. Infernity Reloader rolled forward, its double barrels spinning around until it focused upon Haseo. Slowly, the chambers turned, and David looked at his card. There was a pause. "Spell Card, Infernity Gun," he stated, turning the green-faced card around. Infernity Reloader's reverse barrel spat a bullet into its owner's gut. LP: 3500. "I activate Infernity Gun!" David announced, sliding his newly acquired card into one of the back slots of the disk, and a cannon-like contraption appeared. "This Spell, once per turn, lets me discard an Infernity monster from my hand. When my hand is at 0, I can send this card to the Graveyard and Special Summon 2 'Infernity' monsters from my graveyard. I'll do that now!" The cannon shimmered and launched two monsters onto the field. One was a four eyed fiend dressed in flowing robes, and the other was a monstrous bipedal fiend. (Lvl 4, 1800/1200) (Lvl 6, 2300/1000) "When Infernity Archfiend is Special Summoned while my hand is at 0, I add one 'Infernity' card from my deck to my hand. I select the Trap card, Infernity Force. Takashi125
Shihiro walks down the sidewalk of a small shopping district. He decided to take a walk through the city instead of going back to his dorm room. He can't stop thinking about all that has happened today and it was starting to get on his nerves. "I need to relax... perhaps a duel..." he thought. He panned his head around as he walked and scanned each individual he saw... while a large majority of them were duelists, none felt worth dueling. He wasn't one to be picky... he let out a sigh and hung his head. "Man... what is wrong with me...?" Just then he heard some fairly familiar male and female voices nearby. He followed their voices until he came upon them: there were two students. While he wasn't too familiar with them, he remembered catching glimpses of them from time to time. He did remember seeing the girl during the exam though. "She uses a Demon deck..." he chuckled a little by this fact for she didn't look like the kind of girl to use such monsters. The girl suddenly grabbed the boy and pulled him along. They were headed this way. "How convenient..." He stopped and threw up his hand as they came upon him. Wendy let out a laugh from his comment, "No no no, you see I want to meet people so I can learn of my wonderful class. Besides your here for confidence in a group, otherwise I'm pretty quiet, as I said before." He let out a big sigh and thought,"why do I feel like I'm being used only for her benefit?" "Alright, I'm up for it...oh where are my manors, I'm Wendy, Wendy Mason, and this is Ryu" she said pointing to Ryu. She reached in her backpack and pulled out a KC duel disk, she twisted around and placed her deck right inside the disk. "So what's your name?" she asked.
