Shihiro let out a sigh of relief as things started to settle down "Man this was some eventful test...". The students who finished their tests headed back to class and Shihiro decided to do the same. "Well I'm going to head back to class with the others, David." He said then took off. A little ways from the Gym, he came upon the infirmary. "Maybe I should see if Itsu's OK..." He said. As he got closer, saw another student there already, a girl. He recognized her from his class and even noticed her duel even through all the commotion. "She uses a unique mana counter deck..." He figured she too was here to see is Itsu was OK. "You a friend of Itsu as well?" He asked Eria as he approached the door way to the infirmary.

Shihiro's sudden appearance surprised Eria, but she was acting pretty calm about it. Instead of reacting in a usual way, she merely turned to the boy and bowed. "Good afternoon... Shihiro, was it?" she said with a gentle smile on her face, which vanished as she continued to speak. "I am not friends with Itsu exactly, but I was worried that she was injured by that attack." Eria shook her head as she turned back into the room. She couldn't see where Itsu was from her perspective, and she didn't want to go closer; not now anyway. "Is it not unfortunate that there are students here who want to hurt people like this?" she asked Shihiro, trying to make conversation in her own way.

Shihiro nodded to confirm that was his name. "I see, well it's nice you're concerned for her anyway." He two looked in to see where Itsu was. He couldn't see her... "Perhaps she's further in... I can't hear her, so she's probably still unconscious..." His train of thought was broken by Eria's question. He frowned and clinched his fist as he nodded. "Yes... it is... but I sure as hell am not going to stand for it. If the teachers aren't going to do anything about it, then we the student's need to take matters into our own hands. The next time I see them, I'll be their opponent." With that he walks passed the Infirmary. "We should head back to class. I don't hear Itsu, knowing her." He chuckled. "So she's probably still unconscious. I'm sure she'll be alright though so I wouldn't worry too much... besides I don't want to get my ear chewed off by Jin-sensei." He laughed as he continued down the hallway.

((Evil, I have now decided that Rayos is going to be the Bommer to David's Crow throughout this RP, I hope you don't mind))

The Alchemist teacher that Rayos Dueled was being wheeled away by one of the paramedics that the administration had on hand in case of Psychic Duelists like Rayos and Rahl. "The pain..." He whispered, just barely loud enough for David to hear. "So much misery... The screams... The agony..." His trauma crazed eyes swirled everywhere as he spoke before locking on Rayos, "The joy... The satisfaction.." And then he devolved into a crazed mess of sobbing and thrashing until the paramedics sedated him and left the school.

Meanwhile, the Machina Duelist was being treated in the corner, which, in his case, meant a few layers of bandages around his biceps and forearms, a 'halo' around his forehead, and what could only be described as an almost suicidal amount of maximum strength headache medicine.

"Sorry, I did not mean to hold you up," Eria said, continuing down the hall following after Shihiro. He seemed very angry at those students from before, and his fury was different from Eria's pity. Eria glanced down at her watch; the two would be cutting it close to class, she figured. "We only have one minute left. Let's hurry." Eria said, before starting to... jog. The class was nearby; she just wanted to be sure that she was not late.

Once in the classroom Eria walked over to her seat and immediately sat down and got ready for class. This time she was fully attentive; thanks to the duels moments ago. She thought about dueling more often, but made it a point to avoid those who physically hurt their opponents. Her thoughts then turned to Shihiro, and she wondered if he would actually be able to fight off those unruly students...

Shihiro shook his head. "Don't sweat it, I had planned to check on her anyway..."

Eria checks her watch and sees it was later than he thought. "eh...? Oh crap! Yea good idea." He joins her in the sprint for class. They made it with only seconds to spare. "Few... just in time..." He took his seat and awaited for the next session of boring lessons to begin. He was glad to have met a kind person such as Eria, yet concerned as well. "I hope she can handle herself in this place... now that I know there are a bunch of psychos running a-muck... all the more reason to be extremely vigilant..."

Bast briefly went away, then came back a minute later. "Itsu is regaining consciousness. It might be wise for Ruby to see her friend."

Itsu was regaining consciousness, but as she did, she saw Jenny was standing over her.
"Good to see you're awake. You don't have anything broken, thank goodness. Now, we need to talk. I-"
Jenny was silenced by Itsu b****-slapping the blonde, who took the blow.
"What kind of insane deck do you have there?!? I've studied Ancient Gears, plus there's an Ancient Gear user here at school, and I have never seen some of those cards before!"
Jenny grinned as she rubbed her cheek. "Well of course you haven't seen them before. They're British."

"Wake Ruby up and I'll gut you where you stand." Topaz growled, "I don't care what Itsu needs, she can wait until Ruby wakes up. She's at peace here, for the first time since we came to this dimension. She doesn't know why, but she's happy here." His voice lost its harsh edge and he padded closer to Bast, "She's remembering who she was. She knows that, when her grandfathers went to their Duel Academies, they always skipped class and went to the roof for a nap. Look at her." He whispered, gesturing to where Ruby was sleeping, cuddled up with his daughter and her mortal enemy, smiling widely, "I'm sure Emerald and Amber are in there playing with her in her dreams." He looked up at Bast again, the worry etched into his face, "I'm going to go back in her mind now. Don't even think of trying to wake her." And, with that, the cat leaped into the air and vanished.

(Sounds fine to me, I don't mind. I'm still translating the analogy, but I get the gist)

David silently agreed with Shihiro about class, but on the way, he stewed over the incident back in the gym. He had been taught that politeness, honor, and other such virtues were more important than selfish thrills. It was the way he lived his life. There was no joy in winning, in life or in duels, if you had to use force or underhanded tactics to triumph, but to want to hurt people while winning, even to the point of psychopathic results...well, that was unforgiveable. But what exactly could he do about it? Those duelists may have been trying to get a rise out of him, and to an extent, it had worked. He couldn't ignore what he had heard them say, and found it unlikely that such behavior would be tolerated, but at the same time, accusations of wrongdoing were hard to prove and could be more trouble than they were worth.

So what to do? Before David reached an answer, he arrived at the next class.

Ryu went to his next class and sat in his seat, some students were talking about the incident when he was busy with a duel. Odd how he didn't notice the situation, but he must have guessed that he was was too into his duel to notice. Seems kinda heartless of him but with the duels going on around him it was hard for him to tell if that happened with all of the duels going on. Holograms or not all of the duels would surely keep him from noticing. He did want to know what was going on, but he decided that it was probably just an accident and waited for class to start.

~

Wendy was walking towards class and stopped right in front of the door. She turned around to see students heading for the room, "Hmmm, maybe I should do something nice for them, I could meet some of my classmates. Sounds nice, I'm not very well known among my classmates so maybe I could learn people's names and talk with them." She opened the door and held it open so the students could walk in just fine.

((I'm assuming that Itsu was out of the infirmary by the time school ended))

With classes done, Eria made her way down to the infirmary, wondering about the injured girl from earlier. Fortunately, she seemed to have been discharged earlier in the day and probably resumed classes. With that confirmed, Eria hurried outside, where she was greeted by the warm afternoon sun. It felt nice... though she was really in the mood for a duel for some reason. The duel back in the class was disappointing, she wanted to go up against someone's full potential, not have it limited like it was back then.

Her eyes examined the crowd for anyone who might be interested in dueling. She looked for the telltale signs: examining their cards, fiddling with their duel disk, and other things like that. She didn't really find anyone in the crowd outside that stood out; they all somehow seemed so similar... and so bland. Perhaps, though, she could be more overt with her intentions short of yelling out her desire to duel someone; by putting her duel disk on her arm and placing her deck in it.

That would surely get someone's attention.

About time classes end, David thought to himself as he walked. Not as much homework as I expected, but there was a test, so who's complaining? He smiled to himself and slung his back over his shoulder, gazing around idly, but with hidden interest. He wanted to keep an eye on that Elemental Hero Duelist, because if that jerk kept spouting cruel nonsense and dishonorable philosophies, well, then David might have to chew him out, both verbally and, hopefully, in a contest of skill. However, he wanted to know more about the potential psychopath first and the ultimate victory came through careful consideration before action, not before.

Many other students were walking, some with the appearance of wanting to get home as fast as possible, others taking a more leisurely approach, stopping to chat with friends, or chasing after another student to chat or duel. He glanced at his Duel Disk thoughtfully. He would have enjoyed a better duel conclusion than the one during the test. Had it not been for the limit on Synchros, he could have summoned out a monster capable of demolishing Shihiro's Samurais. He had the Synchro Materials, after all, but the grade was more important than the victory.

His focus on the earlier duel, as well as not on the ground in front of him, he bumped shoulders with a girl and jolted out of his daze. "Oh, I'm sorry," he said, scratching the back of his head awkwardly.

A strange female figure noticed this, and turned to see Eria. She had a brown cloak with some sort of dragonic design on it, distracting from the fact that her face wasn't visible underneath her hood, and her extremities were clad in black leather. She pulled an old battered Duel Disk from out underneath her cloak, and attached it to her arm. "Would you like to duel little old me?" The woman asked, sounding elderly, decrepit, poor, and pathetic. So far, if it was a ruse, it was working rather well, and if she really was a senior homeless person, then she really was.

Itsu was eventually cleared from the infirmary, and she looked all over for Ruby, until she found her on the roof, sleeping. "Ruby? Are you alright?" She asked, concerned.

While walking out to the open lot Eria was brushed by a boy who was walking by, deep in thought. Eria noticed it was one of her classmates, but could not remember his name, even though she heard his voice when he apologized for walking into her.

"No, no... it is okay," Eria said. "It was a mistake, right? I am fine, and hopefully you weren't injured either." She spotted his duel disk he held in his hands, and wondered if he would be willing to duel, since he probably was thinking about Duel Monsters in some way. Before she could ask, however, an older woman approached her and requested a duel from her. Eria looked the woman, and could not recall seeing her anywhere in the school, and the fact that she was hidden by her cloak did not help at all in identifying her.

Eria turned to the woman who approached the two and bowed at her. "I accept your challenge," Eria said in her gentle, serene voice while her Duel Disk activated. As it did so, the shock that ran through her body almost make her hair stand on end, but Eria did her best to hide it, instead, bringing her duel disk in front of her as she inserted her deck into its slot. "You can go first if you wish," Eria said with a small smile forming on her lips.

Shihiro let out a sigh as he left the school building along with a multitude of students. "Glad that's over with..." He thought. The events that took place during the test played in his mind over: The two twins who found pleasure in harming their opponents, the new girl who can deal serious physical harm with her cards. And the other opponent who he felt a weird vibe from. They all were anything but normal and he grew concern for the other normal students here who are vulnerable to their craziness. "These students... they have no idea of the danger they may be in... so long as I'm here I won't let them have their way" He happened to look to his left and see David and Eria... and some other women. It looked like she and Eria are about to duel. "Hmm... interesting... better check this out. He walks up to David who was Spectating. "Any idea who that women that's about to duel Eria is?" He asked David as he came up from behind.

The woman grinned. First, let us have a change of scenery, shall we?" She whipped out a emerald amulet, and, in a bright green flash, they were in some sort of strange forest. Above her was a beautiful night sky with two moons above.
"Welcome to Epsilon Eridani II." A familiar voice replied as the "old woman" presented herself. She had fiery-red hair with black streaks above a black and white feminine mask, with her left eye having an eyeslit while the right had no hole. Her body was covered in a red and black leather catsuit, including a sleeveless black trenchcoat and three belt-spikes, but parts of her body were covered in a black rubbery substance.
"Hello, Eria. Do you remember who I am?"

Eria was caught off guard by the sudden change of scenery, her classmates and the other students were... gone. As if they weren't even there in the first place. She glanced around nervously trying to find something - anything - that she could identify. Instead, all she got was an eerily beautiful landscape she could not recognize. And yet the person in front of her had a strangely familiar... essence.

Indeed, the woman apparently knew Eria at some point in time, but although she felt familiar, Eria could not pinpoint where she saw this woman before. "I am sorry," Eria said, shaking her head. "I feel as I should know you, but I do not. Have... we met before?" A silly question to be sure, given what the woman just asked Eria moments before, but everything still seemed so unreal to Eria that is was disorienting.

By the time Haseo had reached class his teacher was furious at him claiming that if he was good enough to miss most of class then he should be good enough to beat him in a duel. The duel ended with Haseo equipping the teachers best monster to Transforming Sphere and having it attack him directly then during the teachers stand-by phase the blast sphere equipped to the teacher's monster dealt him even more damage and ending the duel. With that Haseo decided it was okay for him to leave class and get a snack hoping it would take care of his headache, Haseo also noticed that he was in a strangely dark mood.

She approached Eria. "You should, since you are one of the enemy. You may not remember, but you should have a little voice in your head, telling you that I am your foe, that I am evil, and that you need to defeat me." She returned to her side of the field, and bowed. "I no longer use the name I used to go by, but I will allow you to address me as 'Paradox', because that is the very thing that I have become. My appearance is like this because of what happened shortly before what happened that caused you to have your memory altered."

As the mysterious woman spoke, strange images begun flashing in Eria's head. Images of a strange laboratory , filled with devices and machines she never saw before. Decrepit, moldy texts lay sprawled on a table, with a deck of fresh, pristine cards lay on top of them. A cloaked figure stood in front of Eria, smiling warmly at her. It felt rather familiar and nostalgic for some reason. This person then began showing her pictures of various people. Some of the pictures shown caught her off guard - she recognized some of them as her classmates!

What did this mean? Eria shook her head, figuring she would have time to sort her mind once she was out of this crisis. "I am sorry, Miss Paradox, but I do not remember anything about you..." She then raised her duel disk up in front of her, signaling her readiness to duel. "But I do feel that I may start to understand if I duel you. As I said before, you may choose who goes first if you wish to continue." Although she still spoke politely, Eria's steady eyes showed her resolve in the midst of this chaos.

Shihiro's eyes widened as in a brilliant flash of light, Eria and the mysterious women vanished from sight. "What was that light...?" He looked all around but there was no sign of either of them anywhere. "Where did they go...?" He thought. He sighed and reluctantly accepted the fact that they were nowhere to be found and no possible way to know where they went. "Well... whatever happened... I hope Eria can handle herself... wherever she is..." He said. "That women... what the hell is going on here...?"

Ruby growled and blinked a few times, "I was trying to get a quick nap in before class..." She told Itsu, Carbuncle and Kuriboh crawling up her body so that they were sitting on her shoulders, though Itsu couldn't see them for some reason. "That was a really good nap. OK, so, let's start the year." She said, giving Itsu a hug and leading her to the stairs, "Come on, we're gonna be late for the exam Duels. You're supposed to Duel that cute British girl, right? I heard she's tough." She had, apparently, not realized that the school day was long since over. "Come on already, do you REALLY want to lose because you showed up late? I mean, come on, you've got this match in the bag."

A brown, stone-like dragon with shield-like claws appeared, and protected Paradox. (2000 DEF)

((counter at any point and a new post will be made from that point))

Eria nodded and drew her first card. Before she did anything a sudden streak of pain ran through her head, causing her to grab her head tightly. She focused on the cards in front of her, but found her vision randomly blurring. To Paradox, this manifested as Eria's eyes turning red. After a few seconds of this, Eria's eyes returned to normal, and her head was no longer hurting. It was the first time anything like that ever happened, though Eria chalked it up to being something in this strange enviroment.

"I - I am sorry, I had a random headache." Eria said as if it was normal for people to have headaches like she did. Continuing the duel, she pulled a card from her hand and placed it on her duel disk. "I set a monster face-down, along side another card..."

In front of her, two face-down cards appeared on the field, one to protect her life points, and the other to be used later. I then activate Mana Generator. As the card hit the field, a large pearl-white pillar appeared, bathed in pulsing green light. "During each player's standby phase, this pillar will create more Mana," Eria said. "I end my turn."
Continuous Spell
Once per turn, during each player's standby phase, place 1 Mana Counter on this card. Whenever Mana Counter(s) are removed from this card, take 500 damage.
"I slept through the whole day?" Ruby asked Ilana, "Sweet, I don't have to go to class. OK then, let's get going. I skipped breakfast and lunch apparently, let's go get pizza... and ice cream... and a chocolate shake... Oh, and we've gotta go see DJ so I can get him to excuse me from classes for the day so the principal doesn't kick my ass out." She tapped her foot impatiently at Itsu, who was no doubt shocked by her energetic demeanor at the moment, "Hey, come on already, let's go. I wanna drop my coat off at DJ's place before we go out to eat. It's way to hot out for a blazer." She looked down the ladder leading to the top level of the Academy and started climbing down.
