[color=gray]"And the attack is then directed to that monster."[/color] And then Protheus watched as Nisashi instead attempted to attack the shadow, and was met with falling into the shadow and beyond. [color=gray]"Any other trick up your sleeve?"[/color] Protheus asked.

Shihiro was shocked. "A fusion summon without using Fusion!?" He saw as the two monsters melded together and became one black shadow mass. Nisashi was then engulfed in it. "I discard Fighting Spirit to save Nisashi from destruction!" He quickly takes the spell card and slides it into the graveyard. Nisashi reemerges from the black mass and returns to Shihiro's side of the field. However Shihiro his hit with difference in attack. "URR!!!" he groans. The pain was more than just discomfort like a normal duel. This attack actually harmed his body. (LP 3700) [i]"Dammit... the damage is real...!"[/i] He takes two cards from his hand and sets them. "I set two cards face down... and end my turn." In only two turns things weren't looking good for Shihiro. [i]"The ability to swarm the field and fusion summon without using Fusion... this guy is no joke...."[/i]

[color=gray]"Now then, I tribute Dark One Nu to to Summon Dark One Alpha!"[/color] And then Nu disappeared before being replaced by a gentleman (ATK 2450). It wore royal 1600s' clothes and had black hair. It was also sitting on a dark throne. [color=gray]"It cannot be selected as an attack target, see? And now, Alpha, attack Zanji."[/color] And Dark One Alpha rose from its throne. And suddenly, [i]millions[/i] and [i]millions[/i] of dark wisps erupted from it and were aimed at Zanji.

Shihiro thrusts his hand outward. "I activate Zanji's effect! If he were to be destroyed, I can have another Six Samurai I control take the fall!" Just seconds before the swarm of dark wisps impacted Zanji, Nasashi jumps in the way and is then engulfed in the millions of wisps. Shihiro lets out a painful cry as his life points decrease. It was much worse than the last attack. (LP 3050) "I then activate the trap card The Vengeful Six! When a Six Samurai monster is destroy by the effect of another Six Samurai, I increase the attack of one Six Samurai monster on the field by the amount equal to the attack of the one who gave his life to save his comrades until the end of the turn!" With that said, Zanji yells with anger as his attack power increases. (ATK 3200)

A second after he lowered his hand, there was the metallic clink as his lighter flicked open and a wisp of smoke arced into the sky as Rahl lit up his customary celebratory cigarette and took a long drag on it, slowly exhaling the smoke through his nose, savoring the sweet cancer as it entered his biomechanical lungs and was let out through his nostrils again without any of the harmful substances being absorbed into his body.[/color]

Protheus watched, but didn't activate any one of his set cards.[color=gray]"So be it, Dark One Stigma, attack Zanji. That Samurai is annoying me, and it's a fair enough trade. An eye for an eye, as some kind of humanoid being used to say, before I destroyed him, his entire universe, and all hope that ever existed in his mind. An eye for an eye isn't enough when the second guy has a thousand eyes."[/color] And the shadow moved towards Zanji, and lashed out.

Meanwhile, somewhere else, Minerva noticed it was getting late.

Once again Shihiro found Protheus' words disturbing and crazy. [i]"This guy's insane..."[/i] He thought. He had feeling this guy was suicidal with his monsters. "I activate the trap card Return of the Six Samurai! With this I special summon The Six Samurai - Nisashi from the graveyard!"

The trap card flips open and Nisashi reappears onto the field. (ATK 1400) "Now I can once again activate Zanji's effect and destroy Nisashi so that he survives this battle!" at this moment, Nisashi charges ahead of Zanji. The menacing shadow beast lunges for Zanji but is met with Nisashi instead. Now Zanji had an opening. With with one mighty swing of his Naginata, he vanquishes the Shadow beast.

Protheus grinned once more. [color=gray]"I activate my set card, Trap Jammer!"[/color] And Shihiro's trap card was negated, before the Dark One Stigma managed to destroy Zanji, and at the same time caught itself in Zanji's attack, and they both disappeared. [color=gray]"Now, Dark One Xi and Dark One Pi, attack him directly!"[/color] And the two weak black priests with talismans attached to their hats which covered their faces lunged at Shihiro directly. [color=gray]"Damage stacks, Shihiro. That's something you have yet to learn."[/color] Protheus said. And the two then fired twin blasts of darkness. [color=gray]"But the question is, can you endure this attack before your life points reach zero?"[/color]

The Impact from the two dark ones was so powerful, it knocked him off his feet. He would have been blown off the rock platform, but it appeared there was an invisible barrier that prevented him from doing so. He hits the barrier "GAA!!!" and crashes to the floor. It took him a few seconds, but he staggers to his feet grunting in pain. [i]"That... was not good... more attacks like that, and I'm finished..."[/i] He thought with heavy breathing. "Is... that... all...?" He struggled to ask through the pain. (LP: 1450)

[color=gray]"When Dark One Xi successfully attacks, I can draw one card from my deck."[/color] And Protheus drew one card from his deck. [color=gray]"Not only that, when a card is drawn while Dark One Pi is on the field, I can draw an extra card."[/color] And then he drew another card from his deck. [color=gray]"It's my Main Phase Two now, so I won't be able to declare any more attacks, so consider yourself lucky. I activate Lustful Exchange, so I can exchange one Dark One monster I control with one in my hand. So I select Dark One Xi to exchange it with Dark One Chi."[/color] And the priest was replaced by a woman in a dark purple kimono (ATK 2200). [color=gray]"Now I activate its effect. Whenever it is Special Summoned, I can half your life points. Prepare yourself!"[/color]
And the woman then disappeared as an evil yet feminine laugh echoed across the rock platform. Then she suddenly appeared in front of Shihiro, and pierced his chest with a hand with a golden metal glove. The pain was real, but when it removed its hand, there was no hole and no blood was dripping out. The only way Shihiro could die of it was by the realism of the pain. Dark One Chi then retreated, [color=gray]"And now I end my turn. I'd be disappointed if you died on me now! Come on now, endure one more turn! Your parents wouldn't want a royal prince like you to die of a little needle, now, would they?!"[/color] And Protheus emitted an echoing evil laugh that was even worse than Dark One Chi's, one that was composed of [b]literally[/b] thousands of years of gathered pure evil, one that could chill even the most hardcore Shinigami.

A chill shot down his spine as Dark One Chi disappeared from sight with an evil feminine laugh. Suddenly, felt a presence behind him. He turned his head and to his horror, Dark One Chi was right behind them. She takes her metal gloved hand and delivers a piercing punch to his back. Shihiro wailed in pain as the punch sunk into his back and his life points decrease. (LP: 725) Having inflicted her damage, she retracts her fist out of his back and retreats to Protheus' side of the field. Shihiro collapses on all four, heaving with pain. As Protheus spoke, he gritted his teeth and stood back up. But the moment he mentioned his parents, and him being a prince, [i]"What is this nutcase talking about...? I'm no prince..."[/i]he felt another sharp pain in his head as multiple images flashed in head. Images of a japanese style kingdom, a beautiful courtyard, and two figures who he could not recognize for they flashed by too quickly. [i]“What the hell is going on...? Why am I having these images...?”[/i] Shihiro was beyond confused. However he couldn't afford to be... He takes his mind of the images he just saw and focused on the duel at hand.

He was in the worst situation he could ever imagine: No cards in his hand, no cards in his control and his opponent not only insane, but controls multiple monsters ready to take him down next turn. A typical person would freak out under these circumstances... but Shihiro wasn't. Something inside him was keeping his sanity. [i]"I must be crazy..."[/i] He thought. "My turn... draw!" He rips the card from the deck and is pleased by what he drew. "I activate the spell card Treasure of Slashing Life! This let's me draw until I have 5 cards in my hand." He explained as he did such. "However in 5 turns, I must discard my entire hand." Now with a new hand, he had much more to work with. "I remove two "Six Samurai monsters in my graveyard to special summon Enishi - Shien's Chancellor!" He takes the two Six Samurai monsters in his grave yard and slides them into his pocket then a Samurai wearing a decorated Kimono and Haori apears on the field. He stood there with his arms crossed and staring protheus and his monsters down with an intimidating glare. "I activate the effect of Enishi and destroy one monster of the field! And I choose to destroy Dark One Alpha!" Enishi drew his Katana and makes a lightning fast swing; creating a crescent wave of energy that heads for Dark One Alpha.

While it was getting darker Ryu had made it to the park and was relaxing in his favorite tree just looking up at the sky. Nothing really happened today except for meeting that one girl from early. [i]"I think her name was Wendy..."[/i] he thought. He kept looking thinking about the new guy he met and this weird feeling he had. He knew he should go home and get ready for tomorrow, but for some reason he didn't want to deal with it right this second and he wanted to enjoy his peaceful place.

Ryu kept looking up wondering why he liked this tree or even this park, "Who know"

Protheus watched as his monster exploded, before grinning. [color=gray]"I activate my set trap, Will of the Lost. Whenever a monster I control is destroyed, I can draw two cards from my deck."[/color] And he drew two cards from his deck. [color=gray]"Now I'm lucky, for I drew Dark One Gamma. Whenever I draw this card, I can Special Summon it."[/color] And a dark shadow of a falcon descended from nowhere (ATK 2400). [color=gray]"But there's always that side-effect that it cannot declare an attack. No matter, that's the least important thing here. Go ahead then with your turn."[/color] But he himself had noticed memories slowly being gathered inside Shihiro's head, not that that would help him, but either way, he had to finish this quickly.

Shihiro watched as he special summoned a stronger monster from the two cards he drew. [i]"Well at least that's one less trap to worry about..."[/i] He thought before continuing his turn. "I activate the spell card Gateway to the Six!" A large Japanese gate with the seal of the Six Samurai etched on it appears behind Shihiro. "And also I activate the spell card Six Samurai United!" The continuous spell card appears on the field. "Next, I summon Hand of the Six Samurai in attack position!" A women adorned in a purple and yellow kimono with an Arabian-like hood covering all but her face appears on on the field beside Enishi (ATK 1600). Upon her summon, 2 of the six circles on the door of the gateway light up. At the same time, a single orb of light lights up on the continuous spell card. "Now that I have a Six Samurai on the field, I can special summon Grandmaster of the Six Samurai in attack position!" The old bionic arm samurai appears on the field beside Hand (ATK 2100). Again 2 more circles on the door lights up and another single orb of light appears on the Continuous spell card. "Now, I activate the effect of Hand of the Six Samurai. I sacrifice one other Six Samurai I control to destroy one monster you control. And so I sacrifice Grandmaster to destroy your Dark One Gamma!" Grandmaster turns into a mist of essence to which Hand takes and channels it into a dagger she holds. She then takes the dagger and throws it at Dark One Gamma.

Protheus watched as the dark falcon disappeared. [color=gray]"I activate the effect of Dark One Alpha. Whenever a monster I control is destroyed while Alpha is in the graveyard, I can remove from play Alpha and the destroyed monster to Special Summon Dark One Alpha Thanatos!"[/color] And a creature appeared (ATK 3500). It wasn't a shadow, but it had an uncertain shape. It was like a centaur, only with the lower body of a bear. In place of the higher body was something that resembled Dark One Alpha, only a skeleton. There was also the skull of a leviathan cut in half from the middle and the two pieces were attached to both sides of the bear body, and they both acted on their own. The bear also had a long, dragon-like tail. [color=gray]"Behold, for this is the first of [b]three Trump cards![/b] This is the card that an alternate [b]Dark Signer Yusei[/b] fell to! This game is nearing its end, for I activate the effect of Alpha Thanatos! Whenever it is Special Summoned to the field, I can remove from play any Spell or Trap card on my field to Special Summon a Dark One monster!"[/color] And two of three face-down cards disappeared. [color=gray]"Arise, Dark One Omega and Dark One Delta!"[/color] And a dark devil appeared (ATK 3000), along with a knight in black (ATK 2000). The dark devil had bat-like wings and white hair, along with gray skin and a lizard-like tail. It looked like it was pissed off. The knight was completely covered in black armor, so it was difficult to figure anything out inside of that armor. [color=gray]"Perhaps you shouldn't be so rash with what you do, not that I care. The rasher you are, the faster I can throw you off this rock."[/color]
And then, outside of the rock and the barrier, a rip in time and space appeared. It was difficult to explain, but the rip was huge, and then a black phoenix came from it, with glowing red eyes. The black phoenix was as big as [i]multiple islands[/i]. It circled the rock platform a bit, in order to embody terror into the ones on it, and as it did, Shihiro had a few more flashes, but then it flew back into the rip before Shihiro could identify it completely. Protheus just mused to himself.

Shihiro was frustrated as Protheus summoned two more monster in replacement of the one he destroyed. He didn't seem to pay attention to Protheus' bragging, nor his remark on how reckless he thought his move was. [i]"Dammit...! He just keeps summoning more powerful monsters!"[/i] He thought. Suddenly He caught sight of a large rift in space and time just outside barrier. "What the...? ARRRGHH!!" Just then, his hit with another painful jolt in his head and visions of a large battle flashes in his mind. [i]"Not... again...! What the hell is going on...!?"[/i] the images stopped and he could now focus his attention on the duel. The rift seemed to have gone, it was apparently nothing. "I don't know what kind of mind game's you're playing, but it's really starting to piss me off!" He spat. "I activate the effect of The Six Samurai United!" He declared. "I send this card to the graveyard to draw two cards!" The spell card disappears from sight and Shihiro draws two cards. He looks carefully at the cards he drew before turning his attention to his other spell card. "I activate the effect of Gateway to the Six! I remove four counters to add a Six Samurai from my deck to my hand" A card slides out from the deck and Shihiro takes it then summons the monster. "I have a Six Samurai on the field so that means I can special smmon Enforcer of the Six Samurai!" A tall handsome samurai with a long ponytail hairstyle wearing a silver kimono and blue Hakama pants with a white haori over the kimono wielding a long Katana appears onto the field. two circles on the seal of the gatway light up "I once again activate the effect of Hand and sacrifice Encforcer to destroy Dark One Alpha Thanatos!!" As Grandmaster before him, Enforcer turns into a mist of essence which Hand takes and channels it into her dagger. She then proceeds to throws the dagger at the chimera-like creature.

Itsu ran in, grabbed Ruby, then grabbed Eria, and she started to run towards downtown, single-minded in her purpose.

Jenny watched the duel between Protheus and Shihiro, and she was worried about the kid.

"Hello-"
[color=#FF1493]"Don't call me by my old name."[/color] Bast replied. [color=#FF1493]"I just want to know why you have returned."[/color]
Jenny smiled. "I want to see how the story ends."

Haseo was worried about what had happened with Itsu, making a girl upset was his biggest weakness do to the nature of his relationship with his sister. While he was walking he was so deep in thought that he almost saw the super weird thing that was right in front of him. A girl was held in the air by chains and there was a man floating in the air above her, this was either some very strange game they were playing or she was in trouble and he had to help, with that feeling he felt a deep anger coming from the core of his being and a dark feeling from his gut. [color=blue]Hey, the a@*$@#e, up there what the f)(k do you think your doing to that girl.[/color] Haseo took out his deck and immediately in its place was another deck, a darker deck with a dark animal feel to it.

But Protheus just watched as Alpha Thanatos was almost hit. [color=gray]"You have no idea what you have done, have you now, dear prince? Dark One Omega."[/color] And Omega obeyed the command and jumped in the way of Alpha Thanatos, and disappeared. [color=gray]"Dark One Omega can take an effect that is targeted to another monster. But of course, now I activate the effect of Dark One Alpha Thanatos. You see, when a monster of mine is destroyed, by paying an amount life points, I can revive it, and it also gains ATK equal to what I payed. But I'll just pay 500, because I am a cautious person."[/color] And Dark One Alpha Thanatos looked at the ground, and a portal of darkness appeared, before Dark One Omega climbed up it before taking flight and turned to face Shihiro (LP 3500). [color=gray]"Come on, come on. You have to be cautious because Omega is the key to my second Trump card, not that I'm concerned about [i]that[/i] one. Are you ever going to end your turn, or are you going to keep at it this turn and run your deck out?"[/color]

Shihiro clenched his fist in frustration as he virtually did nothing to destroy Protheus' monsters this time around. The thought that he might not be able to beat him crossed his mind. He violently shook his head in rejection, ignoring Protheus who was egging him on. [i]"Tch... this is not looking good..."[/i] He takes his last two cards from his hand and sets them. "I set two cards face-down, and end my turn." He declared. [i]"The very least... I'll fight to the bitter end!"[/i]

The strange man floated down to Haseo's level. [color=#FF4500]"I am holding her hostage as bait, Neutral."[/color] He sneered the last part, like a "Neutral" was a bad thing to be. [color=#FF4500]"By the way, how can see me? I thought my cloak was working. Oh well. I guess I will have to kill you."[/color] The man produced a Duel Disk from his trenchcoat. [color=#FF4500]"But I still have a shred of humanity. I will only kill you if you lose against me. Deal?"[/color]

Itsu continued to run, dragging Ruby and Eria with her. [i][color=#FF69B4]<I'm coming, Trixie! You have saved me when I was in trouble so many times, so now it's my turn to return all of those favors!>[/color][/i]

Haseo activated his duel disk as his eyes returned to their original orange/gold coloring from before he came to the academy, even though he still couldn't remember his real past he had regained his original deck and personality. He drew his card, [color=blue]I'll start this off seeing as you made the challenge to a duel, I'll start by playing my Dark Anima Rhino in attack mode, next I'll equip him with Anima Power, this will raise his attack by 800, next I'll play the spell Dark Anima - Ghost, so say hello because he's going to on one of YOUR spell and trap card zones, I think I'll finish up with 1 card face down.[/color] Haseo didn't know why he knew this deck so well but he could feel its power and he liked it. Dark Anima - Rhino appeared in the form of a Rhino made out of black smoky energy and the ghost appeared on the opponents field as a formless mass of dark smoky energy.

[color=gray]"Finally."[/color] And Protheus drew his card. [color=gray]"This Duel ends now!"[/color] And Protheus took a card from his hand, and activated it. [color=gray]"Now I remove from play all five monsters I control. Now then, the Twilight One, arise!"[/color] And then the black phoenix from earlier emerged out of nowhere. It was, as was said before, as big as multiple islands, and flew outside the barrier and the rock platform. And then all of a sudden, a painful jolt went through Shihiro. Memories of a feudal Japan with high-technology....Memories of a man in black killing two people....who were they again? They were so familiar....And then Shihiro knew who they where. He staggered for a bit, and then realized who they were. This universe was never his home, and would never be anymore, because [b]HE REMEMBERED EVERYTHING[/b].

Eria was exhausted from being draggeed around by Itsu after running to her home in the first place. It felt like she was going to die. Of course, she wouldn't, thanks to her inner mana activating itself and healing her. She still felt like the wind was knocked out of her, even with that regeneration.

"Itsu," Eria said, between breaths. "Do you... plan on charging... in head-on? I do not think... that is... wise..." Although Eria was tasked only on luring the target to the central square, she did not promise not to do anything else. After all, even though she has been awakened, there were a few things still unknown. And the best way to find out is the old-fashioned scientific method, as her creator always said. Try something, and see what happens.

Shihiro looked with awe as an enormous black phoenix appeared in the black sky above. It let out a piercing roar to which Shihiro covered his ears for it was so deafening. And then a flood of memories entered his mind all at once causing the mother of all headaches. He fell to his knees gripping his head in pain as everything came back to him. He rememebered his true home; an empire ruled by a firm yet benevolent emperor, his Father, and a loving empress, his mother, and he himself a powerful prince raised to one day be the next emperor. He remembers the love they showed him. He remembered the strength, support and wisdom they gave him. He remembers every single country men and women who adored exalted him... and... he remembered the day it all went to hell. An alien invading army attack his kingdom. He remembered fighting them with all he had but it wasn't enough. While their technology was advanced, it stood little chance over the shear numbers of this enemy and were over run. The war came to home and they quicky lay siege to his kingdom. He remembers the leader of this inhumanly large army challenge his father who was cut down almost immediately. His mother ran to her dying husband and pleaded the invader to spare them.... he did not and cut her down as well. Shihiro was paralyzed with fear as saw both his parents were cut down right before his eyes. But then, his warrior's rage welled up as he stared down his parents murderer murderer. With an insane grin, his face covered with Shihiro's parent's blood boldly stated his name: [b]PROTHEUS[/b]

With that Shihiro lost all control, grabbed his sword and attacked Protheus. However he wasn't able to land a blow as a violent eruption threw him off his balance. Protheus looked down on Shihiro and said. "Enjoy the destruction of your world." With that he burst into maniacal laughter as he stepped threw a dimensional rift and disappeared into it. Shihiro tried to go after him but was too late for rift closed before he could even run to it. Filled with both rage and sadness he let out a blood curdling cry as his world collapsed all around him in a fiery inferno. The next thing he knew, he was floating in nothingness. [i] Am I... dead...?"[/i] He asked in his mind. Then, a soft female voice come out of nowhere. [i]"No, my son... it's not your time."[/i] Shihiro immediately recognized this voice to be his mother. "MOTHER!" He jolted, his body completely weightless. He looked all over to find the source of his mother's voice but to no avail. "Where are you!?"

[i]"I'm right here..."[/i] suddenly an orb of light appeared and faced Shihiro. It then took the form of his mother. Shihiro welled up with tears as he looked at her. [i]"My son... our world no longer exists."[/i] Merely thinking about it made Shihiro clench his fist with anger. "In those last few minutes of my life, I performed the ritual of inheritance. Protheus may have destroy our world, but our spirit still lives on... inside of you." Shihiro's eyes widened when he heard this. "So... that means..." He started to say.

"Yes... you are now emperor" Then a strong male voice comes out of nowhere. Another orb of light appears and takes the form of his father much to Shihiro's shock. "FATHER!!" His father nodded. "My son. You now posses a great power. It is now time to decide for yourself. What will you do with it?" Shihiro gave a moment's pause. He then gave his father a look of absolute resolve. "I chose to avenge our fallen Empire father. I will destroy Protheus!" He declared.
