Time Psyduck
I've added some new spells, and split them into two sets - those she usually uses, and those used only rarely, either due to cost, requiring an ally to target, her preference or some other factor. I also renamed Aqua Lance Aqua Arrows, which I think sounds much better. Key Spells: Aqua Arrows: Forms narrow jets of water, which can be launched at a foe. Howling Wind: Creates a string wind circling her, which disrupts projectiles and makes it difficult for anyone to stand near her, unless they're alongside her, in which case she can enlarge the 'eye' she stands in to accommodate them. Raven's Host: Summons a flock of black birds, under the user's control. This can be cast at a lower level, creating a smaller group capable of scouting (although this is still noticeable, making it less practical for spying), or at a higher level, creating a large flock to mob enemies. Treesinging: Allows the control of plants and plant material. The material must be living, and the speed it can be moved depends on the flexibility of the material affected. If her concentration is broken, or she consciously leaves it that way, the material will hold it's new position, otherwise it will return to it's original shape and position, taking the same path it was moved in in reverse. Crumbling Stone: Destabilises rock, stone and earth. The materials remain affected as long as she retains her focus, and for a short period after, however unless she consciously returns the affected material to it's original form it will remain in the shape it was when the effect wears off. This spell requires a lot of energy to cast for more than a very short period. Other Spells: Portent of Fortune: An ally, or group of allies, gains an increase in luck, meaning they have a greater chance of hitting and wounding a foe, as well as of dodging traps and enemies. Portent of Misfortune: An enemy, or group of enemies, loses luck, making their attacks less effective, and makes them less likely to avoid danger. Thunderbolt: Brings lightning down on a selected target. The effect's power is enhanced in stormy weather. Iron Body: Increases the strength and resistance to damage of one ally. This does not grant any improvement to healing rates, but instead reduces the damage done by the enemy's attacks. Blade of Heroes: Allows her to summon a large magical sword. This weapon is lightened magically, and has a magically reinforced cutting edge allowing it to pierce armour, however she is unable to wield it herself. Cretins of the Earth: A host of small fiends are called up to just below the surface of the ground, where they will snatch and tear at a foe. Unlike many spells, it costs no energy to maintain once cast, however it has to be actively dispelled or else it can take more than a day for the creatures to disperse naturally. Regeneration: Allows her to heal wounds, on either herself or others. This has an extremely high energy cost, requiring an input of several times that required for the wound to heal naturally, severely limiting how much it is used. As a result, she rarely uses it, except to reduce fatal injuries to non-fatal levels (which can cause her to black out, and requires up to a day to recover her own strength, as well as still leaving the target with severe wounds that need to heal). Magnet Soldier
I also have some new spells, also split into Favourites and unused. Most of the not used often are because he preferes to use his guns when casting, as he needs no incantation or gesture for most, except for the thought and pulling the trigger, others are for cost or because they aren't as much use in battle. Main spells: Shrapnel blast: When firing, the bullet is sent out with extra force, causing the bullet to explode soon after it has left the barrel of the gun, creating a shotgun-like effect. Is only useful at close range. ........ Shot: The ........ is replaced by an element. This covers the bullet shot in the chosen element. Examples: Wind: Covers the bullet in a layer of wind, enhancing the speed of the bullet and the piercing strength. Fire: Covers the Bullet in a stream of fire stretching from the barrel of the gun to the bullet. The bullet explodes when it stops moving, and burns anything it touches. However, because of the trail and explosion, it is useless when you wish to hide from the enemy and/or remain inconspicuous. Ice: Covers the bullet in a layer of Ice. It does similar to the wind, but freezes anything it touches, and isn't as fast or piercing. Lightning: Sends a bolt of lightning along with the bullet, and shocks any it hits, paralyzing them. However, it may sometimes over charge and shock the gun wielder. There are others, but he mainly uses these. Triple death blow: A triple slashing move with a Katana that usually leaves the victim unable to move, and sometimes leaves them unable to breath. However, it is easy to block the last blow, not as easy to block the other two. Other: Understanding: An ability that allows him to communicate and control up to 5 animals at a single time. However, in this state he cannot move any part of his body below his neck. Flash Blow: The user swings a Katana at an incredible speed that causes a minor shockwave in the path of his swing. This shockwave cannot do anything more than catapult a tiger 30 yards. However, it also increases the strength of the swing. Psyche: Allows the user to sense the invisible/undetectable. Wears the user down greatly.
encapturer
Is Thor giant-sized or normal sized, because I seem to recall the traditional mythological character being man-sized. Thor is tall and imposing, but not a giant. Probably taller than 98% of the world's population, at least.
Time Psyduck
OK. I only ask because of the connections to the Yugioh version, and I just wanted to be sure, since it does make a difference to what Nimue does, and how she expects him to react to it. Magnet Soldier
So, he's about 7-8 foot tall? Still, being a god he could make himself about 150 foot tall.
encapturer
Probably, but that would make it tough for the tiny humans to do much of anything. Hmmm.... (files the idea away for later)
Magnet Soldier
Actually, it may make it easier. As in, all the weak points would be much bigger(I wonder what it'd be like to blow of a gods' balls?)
Jake the Sage
I cut down the number of spells . . . Kaito Gender: Male Age: 21

Personality: Kaito tends to overwork himself, often hurting himself for the sake of others. He is still childlike in various ways, such as hating baths and being rather naive and gullible. He has a proficiency at mastering techniques; he could learn techniques that would usually take a month in only three hours. Bio: Kaito is a master of basic magic, though he initially lacked in battled experiance, and he eventually mastered the use of delayed spells. When he was a young boy he was captured and sold as a slave before making his escape during the riots. Fleeing and having been forgotten Kaito made a small name for himself as a well known trade sellsman who would wander the local areas buying and selling any goods he had on hand. However when the suspicions that he was a member of a criminal organization, smuggeling illegal and dangerious weapons for them, his buisness quickly took a turn for the worse as did his entire life. His normal customers soon began to not even want him around and he would hear rumors that they were thinking of arresting him. He followed his intisncts and fled before they ever had a chance. Now on the run Kaito began to practice his magic every single day and train under anyone who would take him; this sometimes would end up badly for him and further people's suspicions that he was a member of the criminal organization. Kaito initially used wind and light magic, though he later began to master lightning spells as well. He even trained in martial arts to make up for his weakness in close combat, advancing very quickly (even learning how to do instant movement, otherwise known as shundou). Now he wanders around with no clear sense of direction . . . Weapons: N/A
Spells:] Cura (Cure) A basic healing spell used to easily heal most low-level wounds. Latin: "Tui Gratia Jovis Gratia Sit Cura!" English: "Let the Grace of Jupiter Be the Cure for Your Sake!" Exarmatio (Disarm) Examartio is a spell designed to disarm enemies of their equipment via a powerful burst of elemental magic. Jovis Tempestas Fulguriens (Jupiter's Storm of Thunder) This is one of the most powerful long-range magic attacks. The caster combines Wind and Thunder magic and unleashes them at the enemy in a massive storm of destructive energy. Latin: "Veniant Spiritus Aeriales Fulgurientes! Cum Fulguratione Flet Tempestas Austrina! Jovis Tempestas Fulguriens!" English: "Come, Spirits of Air and Lightning! Southern Storm Which Blows with Lightning! Jupiter’s Storm of Thunder!" Limes Aeriales (Boundary Wall of Air) A medium level magical barrier that uses air currents to protect against fire, cold, poison gas, and other air-related attacks. Latin: "Elementa Aeriales, Venti Spriantes Cito Adieuntes Ab Inimicus Meis Me Defendant. Limes Aeriales!" English: "Spirits of the Air, Breath of the Winds, Come Forth and Protect Us from the Enemy! Barrier of Air!" Sagitta Magica One of the most basic attack spells, but also very versatile. The caster creates a number of elemental magic missiles and fires them at the target. The number can vary from just one to at least a hundred and ninety-nine arrows. The missiles have a homing capability, and will track and follow their target at the direction of the caster. Normally, the attack fires in a widespread swarm, similar to an artillery shrapnel shell striking the target from multiple angles, but the caster, by substituting Convergentia for Series, can combine the arrows into a single larger bolt, which is easier to avoid, but hits that much harder. This is the incantation beginning of Sagitta Magica: "O (Number) Spirits of (Element) Come together and strike mine enemy" . It is like the Veniant Spiritus Spells. The elemental variations of the Sagitta Magica shown in the manga are: Wind, Lightning, Light, Ice, Dark, Fire, Water and Sand. Elements are usually used according to the caster's affinities. Different elements may also give the arrows different properties. Wind arrows, for example, usually do not inflict damage but instead bind the target, while Lightning arrows may paralyze the target if they hit in addition to the damage they do. This makes them useful for stopping someone the caster does not have the intention or ability to hurt. Some mages, particularly combat mages, will also use the Sagitta Magica to enhance the power of their close-combat attacks. A single Light or Dark arrow can add considerable power to a punch, while adding a Lightning arrow to an attack is doubly useful for the reasons stated above.
Techniques: Prolitient in hand to hand combat, extremely well in close combat situations. He also can quickly create or learn techniques. encapturer
Those are Kaito's favorite spells? Cool. Accepted. And after this post no more adding additional spells to your character besides basic cantrips and stuff. (goes to procrastinate updating the first post again)
Jake the Sage
yes they are . . . and so now i am off to post X3 EDIT: OK I read the thread and . . . I have no idea what is going on XD
encapturer
...oops >_< Basically, everything in spoilertags are standalone events that may or may not have some bearing on what's going on where you are. I tried to make them optional so you don't have to read them if you don't want to. Basically, Harald, Nimue, and Zack escaped the city of Eldwund together to the mountains to the south, with Michael joining them there. Harald ran off to check on his friends in a nearby temple, where an avatar of Thor was summoned by one of his friends (presumably being controlled at that point). And... those four are now fighting Thor. You can start... wherever, though it'll invaribly be nearby, as I'm thinking Kaito will join either during this battle, or during the next Phase (aka chapter). And don't worry, things are going to slow down for a bit in the next phase, since you won't have a bunch of cops and soldiers hunting you down immediately. so... yeah >_>
Jake the Sage
Mmmm hmmm . . . I like the sound of Kaito coming in and assisting everyone in the battle- as it seems to be something he'd end up doing.
encapturer
Very well...! You can come in whenever, then. Just waiting for Laevantein to post, though if it takes too long I may just have Harald barely dodge or something so we don't get stuck...
Jake the Sage
Yeah and well also today is kinda my last day to post for two weeks ^^;
encapturer
Okay, so I started plotting out some milestones for the next phase. Anyone have anything they want to happen? No guarantees, of course, but I'll see what I can do...!
Kōsuke Ueki
Wait, what has happened right now? Is everyone(besides me) escaping the city or something? I might appear in the next phase.
Time Psyduck
We met up whilst leaving the city, and we're now on top of a mountain fighting Thor.
Kōsuke Ueki
WTF!? Thor? What kind of plot twist is that? Anyway, I'll appear in Phase 2.
encapturer
Haha. Well, it just kind of happened. Harald is quite obviously an expy of.... Harald, and some stuff happened that caused someone to attempt to summon Thor. I had another encounter planned, but I decided to just go with the flow, and use that planned encounter for another time. So, yeah. Anyway, I don't mind implementing anyone's ideas if I like them, or you convince me, or if it amuses me, etc. Which is why I'm saying this right now, so that there can be a better leadup in the next phase. ...anyway, can't really post a detailed response right now, so yeah. As for what exactly Thor is doing in this RP? There is a reason for it, and you will find out eventually....
Magnet Soldier
Let me guess, the people controlling the world(You haven't told us a name for them), control certain deities from certain Civilisations, such as one might control Zeus, while another may control Mars, or Jupiter. encapturer
Nope .... ... where did you get that idea from? o.o
Magnet Soldier
I said let me guess. Let me GUESS. A guess. A theory. If it's wrong, then it's wrong.
encapturer
... I was just curious, that's all.
encapturer
So Phase 1 is coming to a close. If you have any questions to help decide what your characters will do for the next Phase, go ahead and ask. Zack probably won't be around to help you guys out in the next part, though he'll probably appear later on, for sure. Evan, too, of course. It'd be nice if you'd all stick together for the next phase, but if you want to split up that's fine, too. Just expect things to be harder in that case. Kōsuke Ueki
So, wait, how exactly did Phase 1 end?
