Lucis or 'Luke' as he was most commonly reffered to, stepped upon the first of many stairs leading up to the 'school' he had attended for as long as he wanted to remember. The school, or 'guild' itself looked like a medieval-esque castle attached to a cathedral, that in turn, was attached to monastary with a courtyard that was exactly 1 square mile, no less, no more. Luke climbed up the stairs of one of The Guild's... well umm... guilds; the primary one to be infact, and entered through the intricately carved double doors. There was a board with papers; probably classmate lists, dorm listings, and activities, sometimes even missions later during the year, to his left and right were some marble pillars to the left and right, with doors that were reminescent of the entrance except shorter; most likely doors to classrooms or the long hallways to the male or female dorms, but besides that Luke walked towards the board of papers too see where he would be situated or where he would be learning for the next 11 months as December or the Winter Season, was the only vacation Guild members got, excluding holidays of course. Lucis looked about the listings of classes and scheduels. He seemed to have First Period Abjuration for 1 Hour starting at 8 AM, Second Period Evocation for another hour, then Third Period Transmutation, then his least favorite magic class of all; Conjuration, then Lunch + Freetime for 2 Hours, then Magic Training for 2 hours, and next are the normal-sort-of-unmagical classes of Math, Language, Physical Education which is basically Combat Training except without magic, all for thirty minutes, Dinner is next, then Free Time and Activities, Curfew at 8, Lights Out at 10. Very organized, which was to be expected due to a war being held in our backyards, that is, if we had yards. "Well... right now it's... it's... err..." Luke ran out side and looked at the clocktower attached to the school, "it's 7:50, I have plenty of-" the clock turned to 7:51, "anyway I have plenty of time on my hands." Anyway he then started to walk back up the stairs to Abjuration class.

Captain Jaeger stood at the helm of the ship as it sailed through the sky. He'd received information that a shipment of food was to be delivered to one of the islands in the north and set out immediately to attack and ransack the ship before it reached port. With his Compass medallion glowing, making Jaeger able to tell directions, he switched between guiding the helm and staring intently at an incomplete map. The shipment was to arrive at port by 1:00 PM, it was approximately 11:45 AM. The shipment was to be delivered from the west island as part of a trade, about an 2 hours away from the north island it was supposed to be delivered to. The crew should've left 45 minutes ago, so they should be a roughly a little below the halfway point. Jaeger also anticipated different routes they could take. The islands have been getting extremely cautious, so they often took random paths from other ships, reigning in no definite route but a series of tricky paths, designed to impede pirates from catching them. Fortunately, Jaeger was able to obtain which route the ship would take. He deemed that they would take the cloudiest path, it was completely filled with clouds and easily dropped visibility to zero. Jaeger's compass medallion would help him navigate the clouds and he'd rely on luck to take the ship.

Just as the clock struck noon, the young pirate harboring in the upper parts shouted, "Captain, I see them!!! They're almost into the cloudy fields!!
Jaeger looked away from his map and sighted the large trade ship, heading straight into the heavy clouds. "Full Speed ahead!! Don't let them enter the clouds and ready the guns!!" Jaeger shouted. With the readiness of a machine, the ship became a flurry of activity as crew members awoke and the guns were loaded and prepared for fire.

Richard Garivale or Mr. Garivale to his studnets stepped from his room seeing a young man heading to one of his classes, Richard smiled seeing a student egar to learn, Richard knew that these kids would be forever bound to the guild, but they should still try to enjoy it, Richard turned walking back into his room, sitting down in the big wooden chair that sat behind his desk, his staff sat next to the chair shining as the old man sat down next to it "Well the children shall be returning soon, I must ready the old room." Richard's room was dirty covered in cobwebs and dust, Richard grabbed hold of the staff standing and tapping the ground with the staff a group of small troll like creatures appeared in a large cloud of smoke rushing to do their masters bidding by grabbing brooms and dusters to quickly clean the room, Richard smiled sitting back down and watching as the trolls cleaned the rather large room

Maura brushed her dark brown hair from her cheeks as she stepped forward, the view of the enormous school cropping up. Maura tilted her head slightly to the left and gazed at the Guild. What seemed to be the main entrance was only a few yards away. Her eyes darted up to the large clock that was perched up on a tower that was attached to the school. It showed 7:54. Maura winced slightly. It was her understanding that her first class Abjuration, began at 8 o'clock. Maura sighed a deep breath and began to move toward the entrance to the Guild at a fast stride. The bag that she had hanging from her left shoulder swung wildly to and fro, occasionally colliding with her side. As she walked, Maura periodically glanced at the clock. She did not wish to be late to any of her classes. She would take the time to find our about her living accomidations after her first class.

As the clock ticked to 7:56, Maura nearly lept up the stairs leading to the large guilded doors that led into the Guilds astonishingly vast halls. Entering the Guild, Maura immediately noticed a bulletin board on which papers were pinned. Moving towards the board, she read off the number of the classroom that belonged to the Abjuration class that she was to attend. Turning from the board, Maura glanced to her right, then to her left. Her eyes scanning the halls. Turning around, she realized that there were the sounds of foot steps reverberating off the brilliant walls. Maura strained her ears in an attempt to locate the direction of the noise. She concluded that they were coming from a flight of stairs to her left. Rushing forward, Maura ascended the stair case, following the foot steps.

After about 20 or so steps, Maura stopped. Looking up, she noticed a young gentleman walking up the staircase in a casual manner. Maura bit her lower lip and quickly bounded up the steps seperating her and the young man (Lucis), as quietly as she could. When she was close enough to touch him, Maura extended her right hand out and lightly tapped the young man's shoulder. "Excuse me?" she cooed softly.

Lucis was about to walk in the guild of The Guild when he was tapped on the shoulder. "Umm... oh, hello," Luke said quite surprised as nobody usually talked to him. He looked the person in front of him, a girl to be exact. Long brown hair, blue-green eyes, probably what someone would describe as attractive, yup, those are the words to describe her properly, Lucis thought. "Did you need something? or was there something I did wrong?" Lucis added.

Maura's cheeks flushed at being addressed so directly. 'Not a nervous guy is he?' she thought, shaking her head slightly. "Oh, no. It's just I needed to ask you if you were going to the Abjuration class or if you knew where it was. I haven't been here quite that long and I'm not used to the place yet," she said, noting that this young man's eyes were a soft green, a color she admired. Maura retracted her hand, drawing it in closely to her chest in a somewhat nervous fashion. She hoped that he could help her find her class, because otherwise she would be late and that was not an option.

"Oh, where Abjuration class is, well if you enter the school there should be about 13 pillars to the left and right, look left and there should be a door between the 12th and 13th pillars, there's your class," Lucis said smiling cheerily. He walked to the double doors and opened one of them holding the door for the lady whom had asked for directions and when she (presumably) walked through. Luke walked to his Abjuration class and stepped in, took a seat at one of the desks.

Maharu walked briskly through the halls of the large school, face hidden by the large book she held in front of her. Her blue eyes rapidly tracing over the text in the book. It was a true mistery how she managed to not run into anything or anyone without looking, but with how many times she has walked without looking she was used to it. Most people would have never guessed that she was studing to be a necromancer. She found the field interesting and the one you had to work the hardest to accomplish. And if there was anything she liked it was challenging herself. Her feet carried her through manny towers and hallways until the double doors that led to the Abjuction classroom was seen. Entering the room, Maharu finally looked up from her book to take a look around. It was a large classroom with many desk, and hundreds of books as well as weird looking trinkets everywhere. There were two other students in the class one girl and one boy.

Maharu didn't greet them and only sat down in the seat closest to the front of the class. Once sitting she resumed reading her book waiting for the teacher to arrive.

The first cannon shot hit the cargo ship in the back hull. The shot was quickly followed up by 2 more that were launched in quick succession. Jaeger quickly steered the ship straight at the ship and tried to get as close as possible. When the 2 ships were at the edge of the cloudy area, the ship fired back. The cannon ball tore through the lower middle of Jaeger's ship and was followed up by a another. The ships were finally close enough that Jaeger stopped the sails. Drawing a deep breath, Jaeger ordered, "Throw the anchor on their ship!! Keep them from moving!!!" The anchor was soon firmly embedded in the deck of the other ship when 5 members heaved and tossed it at the other ship. With the anchor in place, Jaeger soon spotted the members of the transport scurrying around the deck, grabbing swords and whatever else they could use for battle. Jaeger pointed his index finger and shouted, "ATTACK!!!"

Izaria ran through the halls her purple hair flying beind her, and her familiar running top speed to keep up with his master. "Oh man! I can't believe I'm going to be late for my own class!" She panted turning a down a corridor, "Again!!" She added while Tonaki only mewed in agreement. His master has always been fated with terrible luck. Form being a klutx to always being late, it was a wonder how she became a teacher. Suddenly Izaria smiled as she saw Azazel walking not to far from her. "Morning Azazel-sensei! Wonderful day isn't it!?" She shouted running past him. "Would stay and chat but I have a class to get too!" Soon Izaria skidded to a stop in front of her door. Once catching her breath she opened the door.

"Morning everyone!!" I shouted to the four kids in her class. "Man only four? I was hoping for more kids." She said walking up to the front of the room, Tonaki right behind her. However halfway there she tripped over her feet falling to the ground with a surprised shriek. "O-ow..." She mumbled now face down on the ground.

~Meanwhil!~

"Come on it was an accedent. I said I was sor-" Suddenly a loud slap was heard in the bar, as a woman angrily stomped away from the man who had a redhand print on his face. He rubbed his cheak with a sigh. "Oh well, guess you can't win them all." The male mumbled paying for his drink and then leaving the bar. A large pirate ship was seen in the distance, and was slowly getting closer. The 25 year old male yawned tiredly, scratching the side of his head boredly as he watched the numerous people bustling all over the place. "I wish I could have a carefree life....It would be so much easier..."

Twig entered his first class of the day, Abjuration. He arrived exactly in time: 8:00 AM, no more no less. Twig didn't bother communicating with the other five kids in the class. He was on a mission, and this school was probably his best chance to accomplish that mission. He had lots of time to complete the mission, but the world is so unpredictable. Anything can happen. Just look down and you'll see what was once a thriving land. Twig is still trying to figure out what caused the cataclysm.

It was 8:01, and class still hasn't started. Getting bored, Twig took out a small red glass ball. Pets weren't allowed inside this class. Maybe they would allow pets in Conjuration, but not here. Usually, apprentices with large familiars would send their pet to the Animal Care room. Basically, it was a day care for familiars. But Twig decided to do something else. He found a spell that can put anything inside a sphere container of your choice. When you want that thing out, you would just break the sphere container and out came whatever you put inside it. Twig didn't really check if it worked on living things, but he decided to risk it anyways. He was being safe by bringing his familiar with him, but he took a risk by doing a spell meant for objects to his familiar. It was balance.

Twig quickly put the red sphere containing his familiar back into his pocket. He was afraid the teacher might recognize it.

Maura stood there for a moment, letting the information sink in, before she turned around and hurried in the direction the young man had indicated. She slipped into the classroom aa moment later and glanced around. There were plenty of students in the class but there were still more desks. Maura's eyes caught a desk perched in the fourth row of desks. Quietly, Maura slipped past desk after desk, moving towards her targeted desk. When she reached it, she slipped her bag off of her shoulder and lowered it gently onto the floor before sliding into the desk and brushing her skirt with her hand. From the corner of her eyes, Maura scanned the room. Many of the students looked bored. Some were fidgeting. She noticed that a boy sitting beside her to her right had just slipped a red ball containing some creature into his pocket. She then directed her attention towards the front of the classroom.

Izaria quickly stod up, couging into her hand in an attempt to hid her blush. "Well...That was embarressing." She mumbled continuing her walk to the front of the class. Only when she got to the front did Maharu glance up from her book. The teacher didn't seem to be much of anything besides clumsy and a late riser, as it was already 10 minutes after 8. Izaria cleared her throat looking over her small class.

"Ok, how about we start with introductions. I'm Izaria and I'll be your Abjuration teacher for the duration of your school days. I'm a pretty easy person to get a long with and in my classroom I try to have a friendly and helpful atmosphere." She smiled. "So any voulenteers to go first?" It was silent after a while which caused Izaria to shrug. "Alright, then I'll just pick someone. You there at the back of the class." Izaria pointed to Armond. "Come to the front and tell everyone your name and what you are studying to become." Tonaki mewed happily, jumping onto his master's shoulder. "Oh, before I forget this is Tonaki my familiar. He's a friendly little creature so no one needs to worry.'

Armond looked up from the small book and putting it back into his pocket he slowly walked to front of the room, turning to face the class Armond looked over the other students before speaking "I am Armond Dorien and I am studing to be a necromancer." Armond spoke breefly then walked slowly back to his seat and pulled out his book again and continued to read "I need to stop sitting at the back of the class, the teachers always pick the one at the back." Armond's face seemed rather displeased, he could see this teacher would not be his favorite, she was just to prepy "And this teacher.... Ugh! I can tell already I'm going to hate this class more than usual." Armond looked to his book flipping a few more pages before continuing to read

Izaria smiled, "Excellent, seems like we'll be spending a lot of time together." She looked around the class again determining who she'll pick next. It seemed like these kids were determined not to be the next one to go up. Not like it mattered, because wheather they wanted to or not everyone would participate in any and all activities. "All right lets have you come up next." Izaria motioned for Twig to come to the front. "Next can I have you ma'am," Maharu nodded, "you're next," She pointed to Maura, "So that leaves you for last." Izaria ended with a lok at Lucis.

"Now hurry it up people I wanna get started quickly."

Twig made his way to the front of the classroom and spoke in a voice that is neither loud nor quiet.

"My name is Twig, and I will become a druid," he said. He kept a straight face, not smiling, not frowning. He walked back to his desk. He didn't really care about the other students, so for the next few minutes, he's going to be doing nothing again. When do we actually learn something...

Twig decided to see how Trotle, his pet or "familiar" is doing inside the little red glass ball. He dug around the right pocket of his green shorts, but it was empty. He checked the left pocket. Nothing. He checked his back pockets, and he still couldn't find it. Crap! I dropped it! He started frantically searching the floor. He then saw that the ball had rolled over to the door. Twig tried to calm himself down, trying to balance panic and peace. An idea popped at in his head, and immediately raised his hand.

"Umm...teacher," Twig said, forgetting her name already, "can I go to the bathroom?"

Maura's cheeks flushed scarlet at being addressed to venture to the front of the classroom to announce herself. Shaking slightly, Maura rose from her seat, glancing at the boy named Twig beside her from the corner of her eyes. Tearing her eyes away, Maura continued to the front of the classroom, moving slowly and carefully through the desks. She brushed against the young man that the teacher had pointed at and instructed to go after herself. Lucis was his name. She recognized him from the staircase, he had directed her to her class. A second later Maura was standing at the front of the class, gazing at everyone, who gazed back. This made her cheeks flushed again.

"Hello," she said, almost whispering, "I'm Maura Clairice Victoria. I'm studying to become an Alchemist." Maura glanced at the teacher from her peripheral view and began edging slowly back to her desk, hoping that, that was a sufficient introduction.

Izaria listenedto Twig's introduction with a smile as she absent mindedly stroked her familiar. "A very nobal profession I knew a few Druids back when I did my independent studies. But I won't bore any of you with the details. Alright ne-" Izaria was inturrupted by Twig who asked to go to the restroom. "I guess when nature calls you can't ignore. You may go. Be sure to make sure he's ok while you're gone. What you did was very risky." She said nothing more on the matter, not indicating whether she was angry or not. He would know to what she's talking about. As one of the girls shyly came to the front Izaria smiled comfortingly.

"No need to be shy, we're all friends in my room." Once Maura was finished Izaria nodded, "Thats good enough." Maharu waited until the other girl was in her seat before moving quickly to the front. "I am Maharu Tainaki and I wish to become a Necromancer..." Her voice was quiet amost as if she was afraid to speak any louder.

"Two Necros? Man this will be a gread class. Alright son you're last." Izaria said, Maharu retreating back to her desk.

The teacher found out about his familiar. I guess she doesn't care...Okay with me... He picked up the shiny red ball, and headed out. Stepping outside, he remembered he didn't know where the bathroom was. He wandered through the empty halls, trying to remember the details of the map of the school that he stupidly threw away. After three minutes of confusion, he finally found it.

After going to the bathroom, it took him another two minutes just to find his way back. I hope I didn't miss anything.

Lucis really didn't feel like listening to the introductions at hand, so when the teacher called him up he sort of ignored the words. When he realized it was getting abit too quiet for the first day of the school year he started listening. Nobody still went up. Then he realized it was his turn, and quickely dashed up to the front of the class. "'Ello my name is Lucis Blake, but y'all can call me Luke. I'm a gun mage in-training, and I've been here at the 'Guild' since I was 7 just so you all know." Luke then walked back to his desk in the mid-right area.
