When either player activates a Trap Card, the controller of the Trap Card must toss a coin and call it. If they call it right, they gain 500 Life Points. And maybe it's better to say: When a trap card is activated, the owner of that card tosses a coin and call it. instead of: When either player activates a Trap Card, the controller of the Trap Card must toss a coin and call it.
