You have one teacher, but you have the option of taking Haruki's class to learn unaffiliated spells after class. Your teacher corresponds to your sign (i.e. a Dark character has Mr. Kale, and a Light character has Miss Kagayaki). Each character can have one sign, and one sign only, with the exception of the principal. And btw, I'm not Kuri.

Tenebrous is a gloomy-looking man. He has long, jet-black hair and evil red eyes. He never shows his true emotion, and always keeps a straight face no matter what the situation is. He also wields a sword named Cobiac, in which his elemental spirit is sealed.
Elemental Spirit: [spoiler=Held Form]Tenebrous' sword. A long, black sword that has the essence of death itself. Some think that Tenebrous sealed his own soul inside Cobiac, but it's really his elemental spirit which goes by the name Horrimus.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Bio] Born a poor and abused child, Tenebrous had not had a good life. Even as an infant, he'd known there was something different about him. About the way he acted. Before he could even walk, his parents knew there was something wrong with him, so they left him in the middle of the desert to be killed and devoured by whatever creatures lurked there. When the creatures came-- they couldn't touch him in any way that caused him pain. When one bit him, he didn't feel a thing, and the creature was instantly repelled. Then came the strangest part. Some sort of darkness formed around the creatures. They couldn't see anything, but in a moment, they started screeching in pain. From then on, Tenebrous hated mankind for everything they ever did. He went on to realize that what he'd done that fateful day when he was merely an infant was a spell- he was magical. He named the spell Archaos Obscurity, meaning Ancient Light.
Then came the horrific day he encountered Horrimus who was sealed inside the blade known as Cobiac. Tenebrous had been walking through the very same desert his parents had left him in years before when he found Cobiac. The blade spoke to him. It said, "Hello, dear child. My name is Horrimus, but this cage I live in is called Cobiac. And I know who you are quite well." Tenebrous was taken aback, but he quickly took the blade into his hand. "Yes, child" Horrimus said, "One you harness your true power, you will see the true me. I promise." Tenebrous clenched the blade in his hand, feeling the raw power.
When he heard about the fabled magical academy, he couldn't help himself. He'd known it could help him with wanted more than anything in the world. He enrolled and quickly decided to take his classes with Sir Raven Kale as his teacher.[/spoiler]
Personality: Tenebrous is distant from everyone. He rarely speaks unless when spoken to by a superior. Tenebrous never shows respect to anyone except Sir Raven.
Spells: [u]Archaos Obscurity[/u] (Ancient Darkness) Tenebrous calls upon the ancient power of darkness to engulf his opponent, thereby injuring them and obstructing their vision.

Sorry, I'll fix that.
I half-assdedly wrote that at 11pm yesterday. I'll fix it up.

Is that better? And I'm gonna go hunt for a "true form" picture for Horrimus, as I do plan for that to happen eventually.

Age: 19

Staok has short, messy blonde hair and blue eyes. He usually wears a yellow shirt with a silver breastplate over it. He also carries around a golden sword that he named Yamiono. Unlike Tenebrous' sword, there is no spirit in Yamiono
Elemental Spirit: N/A
Bio: Staok was born in a loving family. His parents always cared for him. When he was but a young child, his parents had seen his magical ability, though they didn't know what it was at first. When he was 6 years old, he and his family were attacked by some kind of pitch-black creature. It looked like a shadow. But when it approached, some strange light emerged from his palms. The creature was defeated and his family was saved. Because of that, his parents always kept a close eye on him to make sure he never got hurt. When they saw that the academy had opened, they enrolled him under the teacher Miss Hikari Kagayaki. Staok never knew what his elemental spirit was, but he occasionally heard voices in his head, and he sensed something off about them.
Personality: Staok is a friendly, outgoing individual. He always helps others with anything, whether it be school or life problems. When he is sad or angry, he usually locks himself in his room as to not snap at anyone or bother anyone.
Spells: [u]Archaos Lumina[/u] (Ancient Light) A powerful light blasts the enemy, temporarily blinding them and causing them mental harm.[/spoiler]
