Okay just to start things off NiashixLora? Hell No! I can't stand the guy as is for his annoying as hell thing with bubble girl (sondance for those who don't know). I seemed a bit...well out there. Out of me anyway. I mean causing chaos? You know I was the one who pretty much started the war against chaos in the oh forget it. And easily swayed by FTW? I could tell he got everybody to do all this before his part. I may be an a** but that's only too people I have a grudge against or annoy the sh*t out of me. I wouldn't go around killing just any random person. Although I would try and kill Inu (nickname for Niashi). And I fail to really understand Status' logic. Basically it can be summed up as;

 

Status Member-"Yo, we're both trying to kill the same douchebags."

Banned Member-"Really, bro? Dude, let's work together."

SM-"Nah, I'm bored so I'll kill you."

BM-"lolwut?"

 

And to think I always thought I was the guy that didn't follow FTW like the rest.

 

Now my favorite fight was Chase vs. Kotaru. I just seemed to be able to put that in my head easier than the others.

 

There goes FTW and his clichetivity. You may not have realized it but that's him alright. Although that death is something suiting Spep (nickname for Anger Level) way more than FTW. And by that I mean begging to be forgiven and all that crap then killed. Like all the other times except this time he doesn't get a thirtieth chance. Spep Go Splat! MWAHAHAHA!!!!

 

Spep is...what exactly? Dead or what? Personally I'd just love him to be dead? And where's that massive ego of his? I seemed to have a bigger one than him.

 

Oh yes. I forgot to actually comment on the fight with me itself. >_> Lazers? Meh. I prefer good old bullets anyday. I love how to beat me it either takes a mod or being outnumbered and I'm still not dead baby. A bit cliche to think my attack killed Inu just like that but sadly that's pretty accurate to what I'm like when playing my MMOs. *Recalling last night's game.* My Rocket Hit You Dead On! Well not dead on but you were still caught in the explosion. *Happened 12 times.* >_>

 

What else? Oh yes. Way too many freaking alter egos. What next? Is Spep's massive ego going to materialize into an actual person? Because we already made that joke.

 

Oh well. Either way I got some interesting information needed for a one shot. I knew I'd need the information from this chapter.

 

All in all I still enjoyed the chapter and it gave me plenty needed for a one shot. Please Note: I may actually write two. One of the downfall of status and the other of what they did between escaping and there fights.

I was wondering when someone would question Status' logic.

Looking at it, it doesn't make sense, does it?

That, my friend, is the point.

 

War. Pain. Suffering. It's scarring. It changes people and affects everyone even remotely involved.

The Banned has risen to meet this challenge the Inactive presented to them as America has done before, such as in World War II.

You know how war veterans can be messed up, right? It's because they've seen things so unimaginably despicable, so unbelievingly sickening, that their sanity is tested under the pressure, constant death, and the feeling of loss over and over. Even those who aren't caught in the thick of it are affected, whether through the loss of a family member, hearing one of their capital cities was attacked despite being on the West Coast, etc.

Some aren't affected among the military, some are.

 

If we look at the Banned, we find most of the factions overcoming loss and looking forward, wanting to achieve their goal and win.

Then there's Status.

Just like any normal faction, under the heavy influence of their leader. Sure, not everyone can be swayed by his charisma, his leadership, or other admirable qualities, but they still follow him.

And then he snaps.

What happened to the beloved leader of Status? One who was considered a nice guy, a respectful compatriot, a faithful servant to his world? He claims it was boredom.

He claims it was despair and lack of success that drove him to do what he did.

Is it true? Was he as bored and despaired as he let on?

Who's to say, his actions are centered on manipulation, scheming, and in search of a purpose. If DEF were ever discussed in an English class (lmao) I'd imagine the teacher would try probing his/her student's minds on their interpretation of Wynn's character.

Wynn is the embodiment of those who find it harder to take pressure under war and despair, unfortunately demonstrating some of the worse cases.

 

Such a leading figure that was the exact opposite of his current self at one point was certainly a dramatic shift, one that had definitely not gone unnoticed. Even those who wouldn't have a special connection with him would certainly think on their perspective of the cause of his insanity. First conclusion being war, later confirmed by the man himself.

Then there's his followers, the ones most affected by this change. When you set up a line of dominoes, if you tip the first one, the rest go with it. Wynn had so much of an influence over Status that most of the faction convinced themselves of his logic and went with it, submitting their doubts and insecurities to the same forces that took hold of their leader.

Remember in The Dark Knight, Batman took the fall for Harvey Dent because he knew how the city would be affected by his corruption?

The people would lose hope, giving in to the fact that if their leader could not stand up to the evils facing them, then no one could.

Status simply saw Wynn fall and couldn't help themselves but follow.

My main point was using Status to symbolize how the "good guys" fighting wars aren't always able to keep it together, becoming corrupt and losing sanity, dignity and their sense of purpose in the face of despair.

 

As for Nobuo and Gin, well, that may be more of an error on my part. I know you're no a*s to those undeserving, I was trying to give Nobuo an arrogant front that I assumed you would put up in front of enemies. The fact that you don't really follow Wynn's influence on YCM was not known to me, and that's why you did not stand out in particular from the rest of Status. As for Anger, I've only really seen a few cases with him like the Joey incident, so I don't know him as well, attributing to why he may not be as in character as he should be.

Nobuo used lasers because in this universe, laser and swords are the most commonly used weapons >.>

Even with Fenrir, I've seen him around more lately than usual, but I still don't know him too well. That's why he may be put off if he ever sees my portrayal of him in DEF because it's not much like him.

Nice chapter Fuse, Interesting how you took a name change I had at one time and incorporated it into the fic as my characters teacher. I wonder what I'll end up doing though, dragging myself along the ground with all that blood and s*** pouring out of me.

 

Do I even have anything to make me battle ready at the moment? If not, then add in some self replicating nano-bots for at least plugging up the wound. Given that I already have nano-bots that allows for the control of Phazon, I don't think that it would be too terribly out of place.

I also noticed I never have actually met Aqua's mother but considering a few things I know, I probably won't....

 

Great chapter as usual my slight dyslexia wasn't too much of a problem and JazethXThorn would sound hot if I didn't have to picture that guy in Aqua's Avi every time I thought about it.

They could do that, but it wouldn't seal the wound, a bandage or something wrapped around it could do an equal, if not better job.

I know we're all pretty strong in this, but I still try to ground things realistically. That's the reason why fights in DEF are shorter than those of the average fic, everyone's stamina and endurance can only reach so far.

So being stabbed in the chest...is being stabbed in the chest.

It's a miracle Zero is alive right now.

But there's the question, what will happen to him?

Will he die?

Make a miraculous recovery?
