Okay...so I'm an hour past my deadline.

How many fights was that? I'm too lazy tired to count them all.

But man.

Killing Day was a little hard for me...but I figured turning Remo into the hardened avenger was the way to go, and Day's death would cement that.

I think I take longer to write fight scenes than dialogue, maybe that's why this chapter took forever to write.

BUT HERE IS MY DILEMMA.

DO I SHIP LORA WITH NIASHI, OR MAX FROM JAKE'S ONE-SHOT?!

SUCH A CONUNDRUM.

Seriously readers, help me out here.

 

Hope the fights were good. I feel like I could have done better for some, but even improving them wouldn't really impact the overall story, so I said screw it. My least favorite fights were probably El vs Kenta and J.Z/Aqua vs Blair (though that fight was more about exploring the "others" and portraying how the Inactive could weaken someone as powerful as Blair) while my favorite fights were Niashi/Lora vs Nobuo and Thomas/Pikachu vs Talos/Lauren.

Also, Mako vs Wynn was not a fight, that was about clashing ideals.

You know, like Batman and Joker.

By the way, fun fact, Chris wasn't supposed to fight Atman, he was the one who would fight Justin, but when Creator listed Atman among his guesses in a PM regarding the identity of the boy in the prologue, the idea of Atman actually being alive seemed like a cool twist to me. Figured it'd be more interesting for Chris to fight him than Justin, so THERE YOU GO ATMAN, YOUR SCREENTIME IS HERE.

Sorry for the length, I don't know if the next two chapters will be as long, but they'll definitely be long.

The plot's starting to reach its climax and BOY are things gonna get climactic.

Like, I'm shaking in my boots in anticipation.
