[spoiler=What is Tetris/Basic Giz] This is for beginners.

Basically the whole point of the game is to make a complete line and then using your pieces correctly clear the line off, last one standing basically. A line that is 1 is a single line. A line cleared that is 2 is Double. A line cleared that is 3 is Triple. A line cleared that is 4 is Tetris. A T-block that is spinned around in place perfectly is a T-Spin (There is Mini-Single, Single, Double, Triple, and B2B).

Sometimes there will be a private Club Tourny only where 6 members compete in each round ultimately ready to go against the Champion of the previous Tourny. Winning will get you usually 2 reps (1 from me 1 from Champ) if you win.
