Jake the Sage

Recommended Posts

Chuckling a bit Jake watched Fusion tie the rope around his body to get ready for a very interesting trip. Guessing what he had been thinking prior he mentioned to Fusion that as long as the barrier is down he could leave this way at any moment, but with it up he had to move well out of the area. With his travelling companion in tow he tightened the noose around himself and leapt into it, causing the rope to go taunt. In a few seconds there was a sharp yank on the rope which dragged him through the portal and into an amazing dimension unlike anything he could ever imagine. There was no defined ground or sky he could spot at any length and it seemed like he would fall forever. Yet standing, as if on actual solid ground, above him was Jake looked out at the scenery with a wide grin. Turning his gaze to Fusion he gave a light tug on the rope, "You going to float there or stand up?"

Fusion charged through the portal, trying to maintain his balance as the rope tugged him forward with Jake's weight behind it. The next thing he knew, he was floating in what seemed to be a sky, with no ceiling or ground in sight. With a yelp, the familiar red aura overtook his body, granting him flight until he noticed Jake standing in mid-air. "Wait, you can't fly, so..." he returned to normal, situating himself in mid-air. "Alright Jake, mind telling me where the heck we are?"

"Actually I can fly, but better not tell him that," Jake thought to himself before waving a hand around in an exaggerated geusture to show everything around them. He explained, while walking on an invisible path, that they were in a place called Limbo. Stopping for a second he then turned back to Fusion, "Okay so it isn't the biblical limbo where people go when they die. We just named it that because it was the most convinient thing at the moment, like how every sci fi movie names the place inbetween dimensions limbo? Yeah that is why. Actually this place should be called 'Crossroads' or something . . . because that is what it is."

Walking along Fusion could see doors floating around aimlessly, yet never bumping into each other, and Jake kept explaining how everything worked even if Fusion possibly wouldn't understand. He went into more detail about how each imagination sprang from another dimension and even those dimension's imaginations had dimensions of their very own; even little changes like deciding what to make for breakfeast made another dimension he stated. Finally stopping after a bit of walking he pointed to a castle in the distance, "That right there is my resident here, when I'm not on YCM or somewhere else. I'd show you . . . but it hasn't been cleaned in months so . . . we'll avoid that for now. Alrighty then~"

Looking around at the multitude of doors Jake seemed to scan each one as his finger passed by it until he located whichever one he had been seeking, "Before we go, any questions?"

He was sure there was some, but he felt the need to ask.

Fusion shook his head. "No, even if this is all so overwhelming, I think I get it. I'm ready to go when you are!" He quickly bent down to fasten his boots more tightly on his feet, anxiously awaiting his visit to a whole other world. "Actually, I do have one question Jake. Where are we going anyway, you haven't said what our destination was."

"Well," Jake said letting his sentance drift off as they walked. He didn't want to tell Fusion but it was rude not to state something about their destination. Raising his voice he began speaking again, "I have one of two choices I could go with but haven't really decided yet. One is a world filled with magic which I have become quite aquainted with in recent months and the other is a mixmatch of other worlds which have been rolled into one. The prior you could get good training in while the latter is one you'd just go to visit. So it is up to you really."

Jake may have said it was up to Fusion, but in all honesty he was desperately hoping to go to the first dimension so he could meet back up with the people from there since he had begun to miss them. Stopping in a field of doors Jake pointed to one of the two and then to the other, "That one leads to the magical dimension I spoke of- and that one leads to the crossover-type dimension. So now it's your time to pick."

Despite pointing out the doors there was no clear distunguishing way Fusion could see that made them stand out from the infinity number of other doors floating around them.

Fusion thought for a second before confidently replying, "I came all the way out here for training after all! Let's go to the magical dimension, we can sight-see later." Fusion clenched a fist in anticipation, awaiting Jake to lead the way. Even if I can't learn anything new, I'll be sure to get stronger. Maybe I can fight more mages without losing my memory or even develop an immunity! Wait, is that even possible? Eh, who cares, I just want to train.

Hearing what he had been wanting too Jake immediately lightened up and began leading him to the door which, again didn't seem any different from the others, lead to the dimension they would be going to. Stopping at it Jake rested his hand on the doorknob and looked back at Fusion with a grin, "Oh in casr you were wondering . . . these doors are labeled to Master Keys so we can read them."

"It says MNG_MSN if you could read it," he said tapping on the wooden surface before turning the knob. The slightest crease in the door and it wipped open, if it had hinges it might've flown off them, and a powerful vaccum drew them inward until they got drawn in. Flying around in darkness for a moment Fusion could hear Jake laughing as if it was some amusement park ride . . .

Chills flew down Fusion's spine at the sound of Jake's maniacal laughter. It didn't help that he was also tumbling in darkness with no sigh of light or stopping. "Jake, you didn't say anything about this!" Fusion cried, unsure whether his words reached him or not. He reached a hand forward, trying to find anything solid to grasp, but found nothing. "Jake, are we there yet?"

Gripping hold of Fusion's hand Jake answered loud enough for him to hear over the rushing wind, "Yes!"

As if coming out of a dark tunnel in the sky light suddenly broke out around them and displayed the brilliant school district below them. Almost as far as you could see laid magnificent british style buildings that connected to one another to made it look like a certifiable labrynth of architecture; yet undisputably the most astounding thing to bear witness too was the gigantic tree in the background. Falling in midair Jake still had a large grin on his face, knowing where they where, and glanced over to Fusion who was probably scared out of his mind. Desiding to slow down a bit he opened both arms, making it so he was now falling "standing up" he called out to Fusion, "Well? What do you think?"

Fusion stared with amazement at the jaw-dropping scenery, unbelieving that they had really done it. "This is...the world of Negima, right?" He had recognized it from what little he had read so far. Even then, he knew how big and beautiful the campus was. He eyed the giant tree in particular. "That's the tree where people fall in love and stuff, right? Have you ever tried it?"

"Well I ummm . . ." Jake stuttered trying to ensure his face didn't turn red. Deciding to deflect the question he gripped his fist tightly and his right ring glowed brightly, a red light shinning off of it, "Okay hold on tight for a minute, I'm going to make us land without breaking anything."

"Vente!" was the command Jake uttered pulling his hand back before thrusting it forward so that a magical barrage of wind rose up from underneath them. Swirling around both of them the magically influnced wind set Jake and Fusion down in the middle of an astounded crowd with mouths wide open. Jake let the magic spell finish with a bit of cherry blossom petals spinning around them before addressing the crowd like a professional, "Thank you for your honest reaction ladies and gentlemen! That was a practice run for the upcoming movie that will be filmed at Mahora Academy during the School Festival!"

Nodding his head Jake lead Fusion through the crowd as they applauded the supposed actors/stuntmen and looked back at the travelling companion he had dragged into this world, "So? Where do you want to go first . . . or who do you want to meet first I may need to be asking."

"I sense something...something I haven't felt since...last week." Ken muttered to himself as he watched over the students doing push-ups. He knew that Jake had just illegally traveled to a new dimension and was probably the cause for the new student's absence. After this class Ken would probably go hunt them down.

Lightning a cigar from the corner of the room Jesse watched Creator's sudents doing push-ups to make them stronger. Hss left eye glowing momentarily he used it to take a peek into the man's mind, not caring if he was detected or not, and then began to walk forward to the strick teacher, "You're right y'know, about Jake that is. He's taken one of your students to another dimension all in the name of private practice . . . alongside meeting up with some old friends of his."

Taking the cigar out of his mouth Jesse puffed some of the smoke into the air and raised an eyebrow at the man, "But I am having trouble believing you can track him down through the mass labrynth of dimensions all by your lonesome."

"Jesse, you really shouldn't probe the minds of others. Especially those of ones who is stronger than you." Ken didn't really like Jesse, always a trouble maker. He was shielding his mind now, not allowing Jesse another peek.

"Also the dimensions are no labyrinth to me. I was around when they were forged. Travel is easy if you know the way." Ken kept slight attention on the students, just barely visible enough to let them know he was watching.

"Heh, whatever dude," Jesse replied shrugging off every comment Creator had made, taking another long drag from his cigar. He had no interest in reading this man's mind anymore, finding it incredibly boring for the most part with only blind ambition being the key points of interest. He also figured that he was merely boasting about being around when the multiverse was created by the simple fact that he would have be an ascended being as well, something Jesse was certain he wasn't. Finishing the cigar he dropped it to the floor and turned to leave, addressing Creator before actually taking any steps, "If you want any assistance kicking Jake's ass let me know . . . I'll be more than happy to assist."

"I have no intention of abusing a master key Jesse. Not when you and him are but two of the few remaining since we canceled production. I just intend to find my student." Ken released the students to go to their next class, having driven every ounce of their energy away hours ago.

"Also, if ascension is so important to you, perhaps you should look at some of the old 'relics' of my fellow Croginitors. Or would you rather me release my master key to give you the information?" Ken beckoned. He hadn't summoned his Master Key for a very long time. In fact, I'm sure the last time we worked together was at the ceremony to grant the new guardians their powers.

"heh obviously you think a Master Key is something that can be mass produced or summoned like a dog," turning around Jesse began walking back to Creator and stopped right in front of him. He was towering almost a head over him and the long trenchcloak hide the rest of his body shape to make it seem as if he was a single solid mass. Getting a small grin on his face Jesse reached out, ruffled Creator's hair like a little kid, and let out a small chuckle, "Though it is amusing to see you think so highly of yourself, it's good to have confidence. No wonder Jake has taken a liking to you as a friend. No Croginitors, no matter how brilliant, could ever do the things you claim to be capable of."

"Ibaz, show our errant 'Master Key' what I mean." was Ken's response to Jesse's lack of faith. A moment or two later a flash of light occurred to Ken's left.

Standing next to Ken was what appeared to be a boy, about fourteen years of age, with blue hair, green eyes, wearing a hoodie and some jeans. He was of an average build, slightly muscular but not overly so. On his back he kept strapped two blades with Chains attached to the ends. The Blades curved until they appeared to resemble a Chakram.

"It's been awhile Ken, I thought for sure that Creator had beaten you."

"He would not have me so easily. My friend here doesn't believe that I am a Croginitor, that the Master Keys were produced in a factory at some point, and that you wouldn't heed the call of an old friend."

Ibaz glanced at Jesse, appearing to size him up. "He is one of the later models isn't he? More defiant and unwilling to accept the truth?"

"I haven't see his Blade form so I wouldn't know Ibaz."

"Well then, whoever you are. What model Key are you? or are you one of those that believes the legend that Master Keys are nothing more than an ascended individual with great power?"

"Ibaz, those are Master Keys. When the factory was shut down, the essence was dispersed, allowing ascendants to become Master Keys should they choose."

"Pardon me Ken, but I don't see how one who was not made a Key can become a Key."

"Well Jesse, care to explain to him?"

Alexander walked from the rubble, wondering, where he was, who he was, what was his purpose? He slipped and fell, face slamming through rock. He got up, and kept walking. His rugged jeans were still there, but his shirt had been torn off. He used what cloth of the shirt was remaining and tied it on his head, like a bandanna, but more like a bandage for the bruise on his head. "What has happened of me? Where am I?" His questions piled up as he walked further and further, finding no resting points and resorted to keep walking. He sipped what water he had left, in the heat of where he was. He fell onto the ground in front of a building, passing out with his head within inches of the door.

(How do I get into the RP?)

"Wow guess you where right about summoning somebody to help your ass," Jesse replied eyeing the small boy. He had listened intensly to the conversation and had discovered that they were obviously confusing living weapons with what he and the rest were, a mistaken he's seen before yet still aggervates him to no end. Shaking his head he stated what he had been thinking, that they had gotten him mixed up with something else. Sighing he pulled out another cigar and lite it with a single flame generated from his thumbnail, igniting the end so he could take a drag, "We hold no allegiance to any dimension, nor did we get created in one you fools."

"So the very thought of being made in one is an insult to me," he finished exhaling the smoke into both of their faces, "We use 'Master Key' as a term, not as a definition of what we are. And I ain't got no blade form!"

Christian there really isn't much of a "roleplay" or "plot" when it comes to this place. Everything is just about in Roleplay format and you just do as you please.

Ken turned to Jesse and eyed him for a moment. "Of course an ascendant wouldn't have a Blade form, you aren't from a factory. Besides I never said that Master Keys were formed in a single Dimension, that would render then useless elsewhere." Ken turned to Ibaz and nodded, prompting Ibaz to draw his blades.

"Master Keys aren't just 'living weapons' as you put it. That is but one of their forms, a blade to be wielded by a Croginitor in times of great need. Now if you'd like to continue being an insufferable prick why don't you show us your power. Surely with your boasted strength our combined power is useless against a ascendant such as yourself."

Ken took a battle ready position as did Ibaz. They watched Jesse and kept their minds alert for assaults from other means. Meanwhile students had gathered to see what may transpire.

"Oh come now you must be joking," Jesse said raising an eyebrow to the pair who had gotten ready for an attack. Glancing around at the surrounding students he let out a long sigh before putting his hand up, "Look as much as bounding some sense into the both of you would give me, my style of combat would get you killed or having you complaining about 'power playing' since a simple display has done it before."

"So thanks but no thanks. I'd rather be able to come back here every once in a while to mess with Jake," turning Jesse toned down his temper to make sure he didn't go flying off the handle like normal and begin beating both of them into the ground; he'd probably end up ruining this building as well which wouldn't go over so well with Jake.

A small whirlwind of cards and Broken appeared by Ken and the others. 'You know, right now I am very willing to call bulls**t on this whole thing, I really am. I have never heard something so stupid come out of a seemingly rational person's mouth. And for the record, Shadow and Striker do not count as rational' he said, his right eyebrow raised in disbelief. 'Now, I will warn you, don't dick about in other dimensions, they are meant to stay apart for a reason; so people from other dimensions don't go about and dick around in them' he warned and vanished Star Trek style.

Broken opened the door and it unintentionally whacked Exodia on the head, not that he would notice. 'Can I help you?' he inquired.

So Broken, when did coming in and calling BS on a character's backstory become a viable RPing tactic?

Seriously, its only a backstory. I mean my attacks consist of Punches and Kicks, Ibaz uses frikin blades. I had even intended to LOSE the fight if/when we got there, so don't go pulling 'heard something so stupid' when we aren't even done yet.

"Whats the matter ascendant, are you afraid to kill us or afraid that you might not win?" Ken said as he launched forward into a simple sliding tackle aimed for Jesse's legs. At the same time Ibaz began running towards Jesse, angling himself from the right.
