"Star it does not matter if there was a single word afterwards you're both still breaking the rules I set in place. It isn't going to kill you to edit it slightly now will it?," I stated before turning to Broken," Also Broken I still stand by what I said, you broke the rule alongside Star. You plainly typed 'said', 'declared' and what not meaning it is speaking externally."

"Much better Star, you may continue your fighting now," I said with a nod to the student before looking at Broken, 'As I said since that was speech in the middle of your paragraph it broke the rule I set for both of you. Edit or . . . well . . . now you just have to have Star get the first attack off."

Stepping back I leave the arena and sit down beside Shadow, picking up our conversation on how he got new abilities/powers.

OOC: Oh, now I see, the first line. I dig it now. It's a lot more helpful when things are pointed out clearly.

'It's not as hard as you may think'.

Broken was grinning as the spear formed. 'Wow, you aren't honestly thinking, gee, with all this water around, that the guy in non-metal armour is perfectly safe thanks to all the lovely conductive water around'.

'I'm pretty sure that once the shield drops, he'd fry himself. I wonder how long he lasts before I get bored'.

Shadow tells Jake for the hundredth time that he traveled many places and gained new powersets that way the same as he had done, and that he was not going to go through the trouble of trying to recount every single one as there were just too many to recount. "Honestly Jake, do I hound you over your powers? No? Then stop hounding ME, PLEASE!"

After getting that out of the way, Shadow goes back to his original question of who Jake felt would do better. "Personally I was thinking Broken, although if he refuses to see and fix his mistakes it could end up costing him."

"Geez Shadow I was just wondering . . . I would've told you where I learned certain things if you'd asked," I replied getting the third degree from my friend. Apparently somethings were a touchy subject, like getting new powers, and shouldn't be brought up or questioned so easily. Making a mental note in my mind I added limited control of the elements to Shadow's repituare of abilities he could do, but heard him state something about Broken winning possibly, "Oh well . . . I think Broken might be the better choice too, but he is too cocky for his own good. But you can never count out beginers' luck, after all, you won a lot of matches that way Shadow."

Smiling I chuckled to myself remembering some of Shadow's earlier fights when I first met him, some of them even occuring in Struggle of Powers.

Shadow smiles as he recalls the good old days, when things were simple and times were fun. "Yeah, you're right on that one. Then again, sometimes experience can be the downfall of one through the means of Hubris, right?"

Shadow is then reminded of a time when it felt almost as though the good old days had finally returned, a time when he and Jake had a fight in rp 820. "So, how about we see how much we have both grown over time Jake? I'm up for a sparring match if you are."

Star smirked, he removed his cloak to reveal a set of futuristic armor. He drew two more swords one at a time shaped like dragons wings and attaching them to the back of his armor. They were no ordinary swords. They had movable joints. He placed a helmet on with his free hand that was shaped like a dragon's skull with a unicorn-like horn. The jointed wing-swords flapped and Star took off. In the air he used one hand with his normal sword and the other continuously fired off the spear.

"You might be right Shadow," I stated agreeing with him. Sometimes being experianced meant that you got too full of yourself and underestimated your opponent. In fact being too cocky and headstrong lead many Advanced Roleplayers, and members in general, into transforming their very beings into the race known as 'elitists' which opressed anything that was not one of them. Then Shadow brought up a very interesting question, a sparring patch between the two, something he'd very much like to do, "Sorry Shadow but I have to ref Star and Broken's fight. When they're done . . . IF THEY EVER GET STARTED! . . . Then yeah sure."

'Sighe, always go for the dramatic'.

Broken dashed across the training floor, the circle of dry land following him to remain perfectly aligned.

'Let's see, flight, using, swords... continuous firing of spears. The idiot will wear himself out way to quickly, guess I'll just go on the defensive for now'.

He was still dashing across the floor, waiting for the right moment.

Shadow nodded once and smiled, glad at the possibility of a sparring match that was never finished from before taking place at last. He then turned his head to the side, considering Jakes concern on if the match would ever start and decided to break the fourth wall. "Well, Broken does live on the other side of the world, after all."

Shadow chuckles at Jake suddenly seeing how the Spear of Lightning would have been aimed at him instead, although he was sure Jake could dodge it if he had to. "You know what Spear of Lightning is in Spanish, right Jake?"

Thanks to Mr. Commentary, Broken knew what was coming. He stopped and raised a shield of water over himself to block the projectile.

'Controllable projectiles, yeesh, what a tool. I'll have to do it to him of course. Now, let see, it is becomming more humid in here, perfect. I'll be ready for it soon, but for now, I'll play along'.

Broken supressed a cry as the sword went right through into his left shoulder, thankfully, the armour was thick enough to ensure it didnd't go deep enough to cause major damage. Using his good hand, he launched the water in a powerful wave, surely enough to knock away Star.

'That hurts, a lot. But, my plan worked, he should be all wet by the wave'.

Shadow chuckled to himself as he responded to Jakes question saying "Lanza del Relampago. Black would so flip his s*** if he were here, he hates anybody jacking his attacks in ANY form."

Shadows chuckle turned into a full blown laugh as Jake facepalmed at his mistake of inadvertently alerting Broken to Stars attack. "Way to stay neutral Jake!"

Clapping I was glad Broken hadn't caused any cheats by stating the blow got deflected or some other nonesense. A blade enhanced with lightning cuts easily, not to mention deep, so it'd be unfair to state otherwise. Also he had done a good coutner by using his good hand to knock back Star with water, adding to his scheme. "So far it seems their both doing good. It'll be tough to vote who did the best this time around," i thought before addressing Shadow, "Didn't think he'd hear me too . . . and is that what it actually means?"

"Hu . . . yeah Black'd be pretty mad about that," I said leaning back and enjoying the show.

"OW!" Star cried out as he got hit by the water and being shot up through the newly-rebuilt roof. Being wet was not a problem. It coursed the lightning in his body twice as fast. He used this advantage and grabbed his second sword. He nose-dived back down sword-first. He slammed his sword into the ground. Coursing his lightning through the ground. Knowing that it would course through Broken's armor and into Star's sword which was still in Broken's shoulder. Increasing the pain from the cut, also numbing his body.
