Don was beaten to his conclusion by the girl beside him. "It can't be, no, just, can't... Is it you James?" she asked. The hooded figure didn't respond - well, if it was James, he had a lot of explaining to do, and the Scott couldn't blame him for not admitting to be the friend the girl was out to find. Still, it would explain why the hooded figure looked so familiar to him. He may not have known the other signer too well, but they'd met a few times.

[i]"You going to confront him?"[/i] Dark Valkyria asked over his shoulder, having reached the same conclusion.

"Nor' just yet, Lassie," he whispered back.

[color=navy]Rayos sighed and, in one smooth, contiguous motion, activated his Trap Jammer and decapitated the Shadow Drone, knocking the lifeless corpse into Ccapac's flaming geoglyph and incinerating it. "You see how easily I killed her?" He asked, kicking the head around like a soccer ball and launching it across the field, mere centimeters from Faze's face and into the firewall behind her, "Do you honestly think that I could kill so callously if I was ever a human? Of course not. From the day of my birth, I was an immortal. If you, by some fluke, manage to win this Duel, you won't kill me. You won't even hurt me. I'll just continue along, killing everyone and everything I want, just for fun." He chuckled, "You see, I always thought that, if I had killed the nine Gods that defied me and imprisoned me, I would have my justice. Sadly, that was not the case. The gods are dead, but I still want more. Killing is all I've ever wanted to do. Growing up, I took up hunting big game. Bears, wolves, lions, anything I could get my hands on. Every once in a while, a kid at school would go missing, too. But, now, now that I've drained the life from my peoples' Gods, what could possibly satiate me now? Surely not a pathetic girl like you."[/color]

[color=orange]"They've found out about you." Rayos told her "They're not sure if you're still a Signer, but they know who you are. They don't know that I'm here, it seems." He paused again and cursed violently, "And, icing on the cake, these guys are Shadow Drones of Ccapac Apu. They're Shadow Drones of my brother."[/color]

[color=violet]"Well, I guess you're going to have to continue your experiment." Ilana told Cici, "Because I see you for who and what you truly are. You're just a sadistic little b@#$% that thinks of humans as nothing more than her playthings, bred and born for her amusement. So, do you already have someone in mind for the next iteration of your f@#$ed up little game?" She knelt down and slapped Cici, forcing the girl to pay attention, "So, tell me, who do you have picked out to rape me?"[/color]

[color=red]Drake's gaze faltered once more, "James. Rayos. What happened to you?! You two were like brothers to me, I trusted you." He closed his eyes and focused once more, "I'm sorry." He said, his tone becoming dark and emotionless, "I"m so sorry that I'm going to have to kill you. It's the only way, though. I hope you understand that. The only way I can free you from the Dark Signers is to kill you."[/color]

Cici was still crying. [color=#FF0000]"I was never going to get anyone to rape you! I hold the life of a fellow human being in high regard, which is why I simply infused part of me into you instead of killing you outright and having you come back as a Shadow Drone! I have protected members of your family line from over 50 centuries! I have always been in the shadows, making sure no harm ever came to you or your ancestors! My only regret is that I couldn't interfere with my past self hurting you, because it would have created a paradox!"[/color]

Aki swore at the situation. [color=#FF1493]"Great. Rahl's here! I hope he isn't using his physical features to his advantage, because I am one of the few people in the world who can outright tell you two apart! When I was a cyborg, I carefully studied you and your every move and made notes, and there are very subtle differences between you two that I can easily pick out, but the average John Smith can't find! I bet you he's probably going around masquerading as a Dark Signer version of you!"[/color] Aki paused and hung her head. [color=#FF1493]"However, now that I'm human, I'm worried that I won't be able to figure out the differences as quickly if you do somehow come back to life!"[/color]

[color=violet]"Well, if you want to continue your experiment, you're going to have to. It's not like I'm ever going to get pregnant of my own free will. You're going to have to intervene, which means picking a guy out and letting him rape me." Ilana stood back up and walked out of the shower, "If you're still in here by the time I get back, I'm going to end my own life to stop your experiment. Not much of a life, though, I'll probably just off myself anyway, now that I know what I am."[/color]

[color=orange]"Aki," Rayos said, letting all his joy and happiness back into her, "You need to accept the fact that I'm never coming back. I don't WANT to come back. I'm happy here, in your mind. If I came back, I would risk losing you again, here, that can't happen. If I came back, I would have to watch you grow old and die while I remained the same age forever, here, I might be able to grow old with you, and, when you die, so will I. If I came back, I would never be able to show you exactly how much I care about you because I would be bound by words and actions that can't possibly measure up to the depth of my love for you."[/color]

Cici silently got out of the shower, generated some clothes out of shadows, and wrote a note on Ilana's bedside before leaving. She also used some of her magic to repair the door, but that was almost all of her reserves. Tired, heartbroken, and virtually powerless, the ancient Dark Signer sensed a duel involving a powerful Dark Signer and two others, and decided to head for the place where they were fighting, knowing that she would probably get there just as it ended.

Aki reciprocated Rayos' feelings, and added [color=#FF1493]"Just because I am human now doesn't mean that I'm not immortal. I'm pretty sure I haven't aged any for the past year, and the injuries I have received on our trip healed themselves incredibly quickly."[/color]

[color=violet]Ilana walked into her room with the laundry and dropped it onto the floor. She saw Cici had left and turned the water off in the shower before folding her laundry and getting dressed, tossing Cici's Dark Signer clothing into the trash before getting a small handgun out of her drawer. She crawled onto her bed, glanced over Cici's note, and sobbed uncontrollably. From the street below her house, a single gunshot could be heard.[/color]

[color=orange]Rayos shook his head, "We can't be sure of that. For all we know, your still converting from cyborg to pure human. It's not like you've had an MRI or anything, we don't know how much of you is human and how much is cybernetic." Rayos pulled Aki close to him and gave her a light kiss, "Just promise me that you'll stop trying to bring me back. Let me stay dead."[/color]

[color=#FF1493]"Fine. I won't go looking for a way to bring you back. However, I just want to know what we should do in the incredibly unlikely situation that the opportunity presents itself to us?"[/color]

Cici cringed as she heard the gunshot, and she found a nice alley to lie down in, where she could weep for her companion.

Jenny finally took Jack to the spherical cockpit, which was accessed directly from the central chamber, and not by walking down the "neck" of the ship. "Where do you want to go now?" Jenny asked, powering up the ship.

"What." Faze looked at her deck, and then back at the demon. "Then you truly are a demon." She said. "It was worth a try, anyway....." Her Rampart Blaster was then destroyed, before her Infernal Sniper shot at her, but she dodged the attack quickly. Her life points decreased to 1000 anyway though. "My turn....draw." She then drew her card. "....I activate Pot of Greed, allowing me to draw two more cards....." A pot appeared with a weird appearance, before exploding, and Faze drew two more cards. "Awesome. This is the card that will burn you into oblivion, demon! I activate Dark Fusion and send Evil Hero Malicious Edge and The Earth Hex-Sealed Fusion to the graveyard, to Fusion Summon none other than Evil Hero Dark Gaia, at [b]3600 ATK[/b]!" And a being in rock-like armor appeared, along with bat-like wings and a tail. "Not only that, but because it was summoned by Dark Fusion, it is unaffected by card effects this turn. Prepare yourself, demon! Evil Hero Dark Gaia, destroy Hundred Eyes Dragon! And then Evil Hero Infernal Sniper will attack you after that, and then I'll destroy you with attacking with Evil Hero Dark Gaia again, because there is no more duel to limit his true form."

[color=orange]"Nothing. Let me stay dead, Aki." Rayos told her, "I like it better this way. I'm happy to be living in your soul. When I was alive, I never made any sense. I was just this immortal amnesiac kid that didn't age. Now, I don't make any sense whatsoever, but I'm a ghost, so I'm not supposed to make sense anyway."[/color]

[color=blue]Rahl sighed and triggered the face-down he played on his last turn, "I know every strategy in that Deck. I know everything you're going to do, everything you can do. And, in this situation, of course you would have resorted to another Fusion Summon. Which is why I played Mispolyermization." Dark Gaia turned to a gray smoke as soon as he hit the field, "You see, your Dark Fusion only prevents Gaia from being targeted by card effects. Mispolymerization doesn't target, it just kills all the Fusions on the field, making it a perfect counter to your Dark Fusion-based deck." Infernal Sniper also started vaporizing along with Dark Gaia. "Now, DIE!"[/color]

Cici finally regained her composure, and was starting to head to the duel, when a Shadow Drone belonging to Ccapac Apu appeared in front of her.
[color=#FF0000]"Yes?"[/color] She asked the Shadow Drone, who was decked out in ninja garb.
"Forgive me, milady, but we have someone who might interest you..."
[color=#FF0000]"Alright. Take me to this person."[/color]
The Shadow Droninja took Cici's hand, released a smoke bomb, and, when the smoke cleared, they were in the Dark Signer base.
"This way, milady." The Shadow Drone motioned as he took Cici down a corridor.

Aki opened her mind completely so Rayos would know she wasn't lying. [color=#FF1493]"I promise to keep you with me, and never let you leave me."[/color]

[color=navy]Rahl and Ccapac, who were seeing through their own eyes, their 'partner's' eyes, and the eyes of their Shadow Drones, at the same time, let out a unison sigh and made a mental note to kill the ninja. "Congratulations." Rahl told Faze, "I'm in need of yet another new Shadow Drone. You're rehired."[/color]

[color=orange]Rayos chuckled, "LET me leave?" he asked, still laughing, "My love, they would have to drag me kicking and screaming into the great beyond to get me to leave you. And even then, even in heaven, or hell, or whatever's on the other side, I'd still find a way to fight my way back to your mind." He pulled his love in for another passionate kiss, "I've held you in my arms and kissed you, everything in the afterlife would be hell if it meant losing you."[/color]

Aki sighed. [color=#FF1493]"Sorry about the poor word choice. I don't have a thesaurus on hand anymore."[/color]

Cici finally made it to a room where several of Rayos' Shadow Drones were tending to a familiar young woman dressed up as a Dark Signer, who was now suspended to a frame. Cici's jaw dropped as she looked at Aki's Dark Signer form, and the ninja grinned underneath has mask, until he teleported away.

The Shadow Droninja appeared in front of Rahl. "Master Rahl, please! Have mercy!" He then remembered that his master was trying to act like Rayos, and face-palmed himself, realizing that his life was now going to be measured in seconds instead of minutes.

[color=#FF0000]"Get her awake. Now."[/color] Cici barked. The Shadow Drones, not wanting to get destroyed, agreed, bringing Aki down and putting her in a chair. They then administered electric shocks to her body in various places.

Aki screamed inside of her head as she started to snap to consciousness, forcing Rayos out of her head and straight into Cici's field of vision.

Cici grinned as Aki, with black sclera activated, groggily opened her eyes to see her greatest frenemy standing before her.
[color=#FF0000]"Hello, my dear Aki. It's been a long time. I see that you have decided to defect to our side, whether you like it or not."[/color] Cici then grabbed Rayos by his ectoplasmic neck, sending a feedback wave of pain through Aki. [color=#FF0000]"And I see that you brought a friend. How have you been doing, Rayos? Besides being dead after killing yourself because you were defeated by a fake version of what your precious Aki is about to become?"[/color] Cici took a second to get her breath back. [color=#FF0000]"Phew! I have no idea why I keep saying these long sentences!"[/color] Cici looked up to a spot on the ceiling. [color=#FF0000]"FinalFan?"[/color]

[color=#FF0000]"Good boy. The first step is realizing you have a problem. I will deal with you later, but for now, I have bigger fish to fry. Is that clear?"[/color]

[color=#FF0000]"Peachy."[/color] She turned her attention back to Rayos. [color=#FF0000]"Now where was I?"[/color]

[color=navy]Rahl sighed, "You incompetent fool. Faze here is one of your sisters... Scratch that, I believe she's your only sister, I haven't recruited any girls besides her. Anyway, she already knows that I'm not my brother." He grabbed the ninja by the throat, sighed, and tossed him into the ground, probably breaking his leg in a few places, but leaving him alive, "Something tells me that Rayos and Aki are going to escape from your brothers, and Bryce's poorly chosen Serpent Dark Signer, and I'm going to want to kill you later. Until then, have one of the Chacu Drones get your leg looked at."[/color]

[color=orange]While Cici was busy having a split personality, Rayos had retreated back into Aki's mind and reappeared behind the bearer of the Serpent Mark, grabbing her neck in a literal iron grip, "Ya know," He said, squeezing a little more, "I'm pretty sure you Dark Signers can't die outside of a Duel. Which means that if I were to, say, squeeze your neck so hard your head popped off, you would heal, and I would get to do it again. And again. And again. So, to prevent that from happening, I would appreciate it if you would release the love of my afterlife and get these blue Drones out of my sight."[/color]

((Meanwhile, Dresden was busy reinforcing the fourth wall with Adamantium and Unobtanium before liberally covering it with applied phlebotnium. He then grabbed FinalFan by the neck and threw him into a vat of quick drying concrete, "STOP BREAKING THE WALLS!"))

Cici complied, and the Drones went away, leaving the three of them in the room. Cici subsequently cast a spell to bind Rayos and prevent him from moving. [color=#FF0000]"I guess I must ask why you two are here."[/color] Cici mused as she pulled a knife from her garter, sliced her neck just above and below where Rayos had grabbed it. She then took her neck back with her free hand, and carefully reattached both pieces to her body in the correct order and position. The sections were already mending, and there would be some scarring for a couple of hours.
[color=#FF1493]"We're here to stop you."[/color] Aki replied. [color=#FF1493]"We're quite good at it too."[/color]
[color=#FF0000]"I am just amazed that you managed to blend in. How did you do it? How did you get to look like this?"[/color]
[color=#FF1493]"Well, my eyes have multiphasic contacts. They were initially used by ravers, but eventually, the movie industry picked them on. They respond to pulses sent from the brain, so the wearer can control their eye color. Very useful, especially when you want to do special effects involving eyes."[/color]
[color=#FF0000]"And the tattoos?"[/color]
[color=#FF1493]"Real. I managed to get an actual tattoo artist to do this for me based on a custom design. Painful as sh*t, but he was very good."[/color]
[color=#FF0000]"I take it you did the same thing for the clothes?"[/color]
[color=#FF1493]"It's amazing what the greatest fashion designers will be willing to do for a hefty monetary reward."[/color]
[color=#FF0000]"Impressive. Pity we are going to have to kill you and make you one of us. Permanently."[/color]
[color=#FF1493]"Will you at least allow me to go out fighting?"[/color]

Cici turned to leave, but simply stood in front of the only door out of the room.
[color=#FF0000]"Just to make sure you two don't get out until we have a proper audience."[/color] She explained, casting a few assorted barrier spells to reinforce the room from any possible escape attempts.

[color=orange]"And by that you mean 'until my brother comes back from whatever rampant destruction he's causing now and you can actually hurt me'?" Rayos asked, holding out his arm and pantomiming holding something vaguely cup sized in his hand before vanishing and reappearing in front of Cici, so that his metal hand phased inside of her and his fist clutched her heart, "Ya see," He said, forcing her heart rate to speed up by squeezing it with his fingers, "the upside of being an undead ghost living inside a someone's subconscious, besides the obvious mental manipulation perks, is that the laws of science and nature, and whatever the hell you'd call your barriers, don't really apply to me, since, for all intents and purposes, I don't exist. You can seal me up in concrete, and, if, for some reason, I can't simply return to Aki's mind, I'll just walk out. But, if I want to, say, rip your heart out of your chest and watch you suffocate until it grows back, I won't even stain my shirt."[/color]

Cici laughed maniacally as she disappeared and reappeared on the other side of the room, now holding Aki. The blade of her knife was now held against Aki's neck.
[color=#FF0000]"Tsk, tsk tsk. Rayos, you've forgotten one important thing: I don't follow the laws of science and nature either. Only the incredibly high limitations of magic keep me confined. Sure, I'm low on power, but these little spells I'm casting are nothing more than parlor tricks, and, while you may have resistance to my spells, your precious host here has none whatsoever. Try to kill me again, and you both die. I can easily graft your souls to phylacteries and keep the two of you bottled up and separated from each other. Do I make myself clear?"[/color]
Aki mouthed [color=#FF1493]"Please, just go along with what she says."[/color]

[color=orange]Rayos chuckled and pulled the knife away from Aki's throat, bending the blade backwards, "I have no intention of walking out of here just yet. I know you won't let me, and, if Aki and I are going to have to fight our way out, we want to take more than just you down first. I figure Rahl did a lot of converting for you people, so, when he shows up, and when I bring him down, all his Shadow Drones will go back to their regular lives, meaning that Aki and I will have a lot less fighting to do to make our escape, and two less Dark Signers to hunt us." He ripped the knife out of Cici's hand and threw it into the wall, "HOWEVER, if you EVER threaten the love of my afterlife again, I'm going to f@#$ing kill you."[/color]

Jenny was now ready for takeoff, but an alert sounded off that made Jenny jump out of her seat. She checked her instruments, and the result came up: surges of huon energy coming from a nearby location. Jenny fistpumped, hoping the huon energy could be used as a temporary power source until her Eye of Harmony could be brought back online safely. She motioned for Jack to find a seat nearby, buckled in, did a very abridged pre-flight check, then hit the VTOL thrusters to lift them up...only for nothing to happen. Jenny started swearing in languages Jack would not understand, but would be glad he didn't. She stomped back to the engine room to make a few adjustments.

Cici sighed. [color=#FF0000]"Well, I do have a way to keep you from leaving."[/color] She approached Aki before Rayos could react, took her hands in her own, said a few words, and a set of golden rings appeared around their wrists. [color=#FF0000]"I just performed a [i]geas[/i] with Aki. She must not leave these premises until our duel has concluded, or she will die. Conversely, I cannot harm or let harm come to either of you from an outside force, like myself or Rahl, until that same duel has started, or I will experience 1000 times as much pain as you would feel. You can hurt each other all you like, but it will not affect the [i]geas[/i], but I will make sure Rahl will not lay a finger on either of you."[/color] Cici left the cell. [color=#FF0000]"Now, if you excuse me, I have to go recharge before our duel in 15 minutes."[/color]

Faze just stood there in utter disbelief. That was everything she had. She had lost either way. Her hand was empty. There was absolutely nothing on her field. Everything was hopeless. She had already lost. Her knees wobbled a bit, before collapsing on them. What was she to do? What was there to do? Evil Hero Dark Gaia was her last hope. She was in utter disbelief at her apparent loss. Why her? Why oh why why her? She had always been good, always had good intentions, yet why her? "I have lost, you have won. There. And now I'm going to become a mindless slave once again. But I can always come back, can't I?"

[Blackstone Dresden]

[color=orange]"Aki..." Rayos said, his head drooping, "I'm so sorry... I should have been more careful... I should never have let her catch you... I..." The 'ghost' couldn't finish his sentence and simply vanished altogether.[/color]

[color=navy]Rahl smirked, "Of course. Did you really think I was going to let you walk away? You can either have my power and be my slave, or you can lose both." Just as a formality, he drew his card, but didn't even bother looking at it. "Hundred Eye-Dragon, show Faze the true power of a Dark Signer. Infinity Sight Stream." The Dragon roared and all of its eyes started glowing, "Remind Faze that her power comes with a price." The dragon roared again and one hundred lasers shot out of its body, eventually merging into one laser aimed directly at Faze's arm.[/color]

"You really don't get what I mean, do you? Never mind. Sure, let's stick with mindless slavery again." She said. But that, only because she could always come back. [i]But that, only because I could always come back.[/i] She thought. "If only I knew what I was up against. If I did, I wouldn't have charged in straight away. I would have planned and planned and hacked main computers and take over areas and build my own army and find a strategy equivalent to the legendary Yugi Mutou and......and.....but I can't change and turn time as I please, can I? I can't do that.... What I would give to turn back time.....and............and.................and........................" And she waited for the inevitable, even though her Plan B was working. She sensed her Duel Spirit suffering inside her. A few more seconds, and she would be beyond the Demon.....

[Blackwing-Master]

The figure still said nothing.

"Fine! Draw! I summon Cyber Harpie." A feminane bird-like figure appeared with metal armor on. "Now, Haripe Queen, Attack Shura!" The green-haired harpie started to slice at Shura.

"Not so fast there. I drop Kalut the moon shadow from my hand to the grave to give shura it's attack points." The blue birds wings started glowing white then split into two, one pair the birds regular colors, the other pair changed from white to black. The blue bird defended itself with the black pair of wings from the Harpie's attack, and destroyed it with it's claws. "Now, when Shura destroys a monster by battle, I can bring out a new Blackwing to serve at my side. Come forth, Blackwing Gale!" A bird with bluish purple wings, green and yellow head, and big eyes appeared with a sad look oin it's face.

"Gale..." She watched as her harpie was turned into little yellow fragments. "I end with a face down."

Jack sat and watched as Jenny made her changes, still feeling pain from his blue dragon head mark.

"Mah turn then," Don added, moving forwards, "and ah draw." [i]He's almost certain teh try and synchro summon in his next turn, so ah better take is monsters before he gets the chance.[/i] "I'll start by summoning Evocator Chevalier in attack position," he called out, a red-armoured warrior emerging onto the field, "but ah won't be keepin' 'im long, because ah activate Gemini Spark, which lets me destroy on o' mah Geminis to take out one o' your cards, and how about ah deal with that Shura of yours." Electricity crackled around the swordsman, before leaping over to the blue bird as well, before both were destroyed. "Plus I get another card," Don added, drawing again.

"noo, if yer were missin' Evocator Chevalier, dinna fash, 'cause he'll be right back with mah Birthright trap, which lets me revive 'im ready for battle. Evocator, take out Gale." The armoured warrior leaped forwards, it's sword ready to strike.

He told her as their Monsters vanished, "What I need is a subordinate, someone to inherit the power of Ccapac Apu should I fall. That someone is going to be you."[/color]

[color=red]"I activate my face-down Vicious Claw and equip it to Jasmine's Cyber Harpie." Drake said as he drew his card, "Now, I think I'll end my turn with that."[/color]

[color=red]"I activate my Trap Card, Chivalry!" Drake said as Lightning Golem's attack was redirected into his own palm, "You should have waited for your effect to go through before declaring your attack, I would have been helpless to stop her otherwise. But, since you got ahead of yourself, your Monster is destroyed" Drake threw the lightning bolt back at the Evil Hero and destroyed it, burning his hand in the process.[/color]

[color=navy]"Fine then, I'll just kill you anyway, brother. Infernal Gainer, wipe out Drake's Life Points!"[/color]

[color=red]"I Summon Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord!" A bird with a big spear appeared. "Now I play Future Visions." The area became engulfed in darkness with mirrors floating around. His head started hurting again, remebering being shown the hummingbird mark while in Future Visions in the Spirit World. [i]This card is the reason I knew I would be like this. [/i]"Now I'll tribute Bora and Gale. Go, bird of Darkness, arise! I summon Earthbound Immortal Asilla Piscu!" A giant black humming bird appeared that towered over all the other monsters out. It had orange markign which changed quite quickly to green, to match it's master's robe. "Cower, as Future Visons sends Piscu into the future, but when it leaves us, it take all your monsters to their grave and deals 800 points of damage for each card destroyed it's effect." Asilla Piscu was absorbed into one of the mirrors as it sent out a green wave of energy destroying Drakes, Jasmines, and Don's monsters. "Your lucky it's gone, but when my next turn comes, you're all good as done. I end." He smiled under his hood. "I don't exactly know how you know me, probably before my death, which I can't remember either, but if your talking about," He put down his hood, "This James, then yes, I am the one your talking about."
