@Spoon

Does the field HAVE to be empty to summon, and is it stated in the Effect?

The field is empty except for the "Aperture Science Rocket Sentry". Period. You have your hand, your Graveyard, your Deck and even your Removed from Play Zone to your disposal if you need it, but nothing on the field. Now you got to survive and destroy that thing. Remember: It's your opponents turn, and you have to do it before your own Main Phase 1 (which is located right after your Draw and Standby Phase, in which you are (normally) unable to do anything but drawing 1 card).

Take this card as an example. It doesn't solve the puzzle in this case, but the way it works could help you understand what I was going for:

PS: If anybody has any questions left, I'm going to bed. Drop me a PM or something... next time I'll try my awesome Paint skillz once more to explain it a little better :(

my card: (hope it is better than last round)

73464v.jpg

Activate this card only if your field is empty and your opponent declares an attack. Your opponent must tribute 1 monster on the field when this card is activated. Sacrifice 1000 Life Points to search your deck for 1 LV 4 or lower Monster Card and Special Summon it to the field in face-up Defense Position.

Well...

[spoiler=My Card...]

99600o.jpg

Lore:

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by halving your Life Points when your opponent declares a direct attack. When this card is successfully Special Summoned this way, negate the attack and Special Summon a "Dual Detonator Gem Token" (Rock-Type/LIGHT/Level 5/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position. During your opponent's End Phase, destroy all "Dual Detonator Gem Tokens" you control and destroy a monster your opponent controls. For each "Dual Detonator Gem Token" destroyed this way, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of monsters destroyed this way x500.

[spoiler=my card]

245354y.jpg

lore:

During either player's Main Phase, if you control no monsters, and your opponent only controls 1 monster. You can Special Summon this card from your hand. when this card is summoned this way, select 2 monsters in your hand, Deck or Graveyard with the same Level as the monster your opponent controls, Special Summon them to your side of the field in the same position as the monster your opponent controls (ignoring any conditions). Your opponent's monster and the 2 Special Summoned monsters have their effects negated. Then toss a coin. If the result is Heads, destroy all 3 monsters and increase this card's ATK and DEF by the total ATK and DEF of the 3 monsters. If the result is Tails, destroy all 3 monsters and decrease your Life Points by the combined ATK of the monsters minus the combined DEF of the monsters (if the result is negative, treat the result as a positive number).

Mai Entry:

If you control no cards during either player's turn, you can reveal this card in your hand to halve the ATK of one monster your opponent controls and Special Summon 1 other Level 3 or lower Machine-Type monster from your hand or Graveyard. Your opponent's monster's ATK is halved as long as this card remains revealed in your hand, and if it does not attack this turn, it is destroyed.

Alright, shall we?

Make109: It seems like you built the card to fit the requirements perfectly... and that's boring. You're out!

Matt Bahamut: You've gone too simple. Way too simple. You're out!

Rowling & Serenity: It's a tough decision. Serenity's card is the only one that's a Spell Card, to say at least something redeemable about it... other than that, it's way too basic to be interesting. Rowling's card is like a reversed Synchro effect... if you put it this way, it might sound interesting, but in reality, it's not really...

Okay you two, since I can't decide, I keep you both :P

I hope I can post the flavor text and the new task by tomorrow, congratulations on all who made it to the 4th and second to last round ;)

So long,

Spoon

Sad face...oh well. Its been fun.

If that's the case, you didn't do anything wrong :)

Alright, no flavor text, sorry, I just don't have time for this and I doubt that anybody read that anyways.

So let's dive right into round number 4! 3 Contestants will be eliminated this round!

234848fp.jpg

Lore:

This card cannot be Special Summoned or Set. This card can only be Normal Summoned to the leftmost Monster Card Zone. This card cannot be Tributed or used as a Synchro Material Monster. When this card is removed from the field, you take 4000 damage. Once per turn, you can place this card in an adjacent unoccupied Monster Card Zone and gain 500 Life Points. If this card is in your rightmost Monster Card Zone and this effect is used, you can place it in your opponents leftmost Monster Card Zone (you still control this card and can use it's effect). While this card is on your opponents side of the field, it cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summoning or used as a Synchro Material Monster. When this card is in your opponents rightmost Monster Card Zone, you win the Duel.

Remember it? We're now drastically picking up the pace, so that only the 2 best of you will get to the last round. Your task is as follows:

- Create a Spell or Trap Card that supports (and not breaks) this cards winning condition.

- You have 72 hours to complete the task.

Any questions?

So long,

Spoon

I think I'm having trouble understanding the effect... (though it may just be that I'm slow)

Let me see if I've got this straight:

If I understand correctly, this card's effect allows the card to:

• move to the side once per turn

• Once it gets to the right-most, you can move it to your opponent's side

• Then you move it back to your left, as it approaches your opponent's right

• When it hits their rightmost slot, they lose

However, this also means that you and your opponent's monster card zones must be completely unoccupied, am I correct?

You are correct, Zextra :) Well, the Zone must be unoccupied when you move it, it can be occupied before and after that of course. So, just as an example, a card that would simply destroy monsters (e.g.: Black Hole) can also be counted as a support for this one, though it may not be the best solution ;)

Here's my entry:

Super-CollidingLaser-1.jpg

Super-Colliding Laser:

You can only activate this card if you control 1 face-up

"Weighted Companion Cube" monster on the field. Once

per turn, you can move this card to an unoccupied Spell

& Trap Card Zone. Then, destroy all cards in this card's

column (except "Super-Colliding Laser").

And, by the way, Spoon, I did read every GLaDOS text.

They show you really care this contest.

Spoon, I have another question:

Do we make a card that helps this card's effect become more efficient/easy to use?

OR

Do we make a card which prevents its effect from being used successfully?

The first thingy of course ;) Because, as we all know, we love our Weighted Companion Cube :P
