Spoon
Welcome [insert test subject name here], the Enrichment Center reminds you that this test, in fact, won't harm you in any way, shape or form. Anybody can participate in this Aperture Science Enrichment Center Activity. Make sure to bring your family and friends along... if they aren't already dead. In the event that you have no family and/or friends: Poor you, [insert name of test subjects father here] would be ashamed of you. During the events you will face a lot of interesting and fun events like jumping over platforms, solving puzzles, destroying inanimate objects and dying. Please make sure to leave your brain and any other unimportant stuff you are carrying around for no reason at the entrance. Where you go, you will not need it. And at the end, there will be cake for everybody and Aperture Science Party Escort Bots that will escort you to your victory party. With more cake. And grief counseling. During the test you will be watched by our party associates to ensure a save and fun adventure for everybody. You cannot see them, but they can see you. We will now open that door for you, so you can see what we prepared for you... the Enrichment Center reminds you once more that dying will, in fact, not earn you any cake. [spoiler=Rules]1. All Aperture Science Enrichment Center (YCM) rules apply2. No entry fee3. Unlimited contestants4. No joke cards [spoiler=How the Enrichment Center Activity works]I'm the only judge of this contest. No complaints. There will be a total of 5 rounds, each with a different task revoling around solving puzzles and being creative. That's all advice I can give you for now. In each round I will eliminate a certain number of contestants (depending on the total number) until there are only 2 left for the last round. This contest will start when I think we have enough test subjects... eh... contestants. [spoiler=Things that will be judged (in order of importance)]1. Creativity2. Balancing3. Name & Picture4. Zextra [spoiler=Task 1]We now officially announce the first task for this Enrichment Center Activity. Please be aware of the fact that the least creative solution to this puzzle results in death and, ultimately, no cake for you. A team of reliable Aperture Science party associates put this multimillion dollar equipment, the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device, in a very difficult to reach place. I would say it's impossible to reach, but the team prooved me wrong. Unfortunately none of them returned. You don't need to rescue them, they had only 2 days till retirement anyway. We highly advice you to get that device in due time, because without it, the cake will be hard to obtain. Good... well, if you need luck, you probably are already dead. Short things short, here's your task for round 1. 2 Contestants will be eliminated in this round. Your goal is this card: It is located in your opponents Spell & Trap Card Zone (face-down, not equipped)! You must get in, grab the gun, and get the hell out! That's all. How you do that is completely up to you... with some restrictions: - Only 1 card for this round. Should be a monster or at least be treated as one under certain conditions. But you can also surprise me.- That card must hit the targeted Zone at least once and cannot stay there! You don't have a Portal Gun right now, you need to grab that thing with your own hands and then... just run.- You have as many turns as you need, though less is definitely better.- You have 72 hours. All contestants that didn't turn their card in by then are disqualfied. [spoiler=Task 2]You completed the first test chamber. If I had a hat, I'd take it off now. Sadly, I don't have one. For those who did not notice, I'll explain what happened to the missing 4 test subjects: Frozenblade and The Blood Red Sandman unfortunately could not participate in this Enrichment Center Activity, they had to go and help out their family/friends/coworkers. Something you clearly don't have. Poor you. king of dyspraxia died because he (even though we adviced you not to do so) did not left his brain at the entrance and, instead, placed it on 1500 Megawatt Aperture Science Heavy Duty Super-Colliding Super Button. Now he has no brain that he could give out at the entrance. Maybe he's off better than you are, but on the other hand, he can't get cake. Dr. Wily thought he was particularly smart by standing right in front of the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device and slashing it with an axe to put an end to this „madness“. A great doctor indeed. What he did not calculate is that that device cannot be destroyed by heat, acid or raw power. Additionally, he did not notice, the Weighted Companion Cube, a good friend of the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device (again, since this is something you don't have, you don't need to worry about it), right behind him. We can only assume what happened after that because the camera conveniently turned off in that exact moment. When the picture returned, all we could see was a bloody mess. It seems that he also did not turn in his brain at the entrance because our party associates found particles of brain cells scattered around the room. And now, without further hesitation, let us begin the second round in our „Tour of fun“, as I like to call it. This time, you got accidently dropped off in a training facility filled with deadly poison and killer robots. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? This is your task for round 2. I'll eliminate only 1 contestant this time (subject to change). Your goal is to destroy and survive. Simple as that. Your opponents are this friendly buddies: And as an additional problem, I'll throw one of those into the mix: Death WaterTrap Activate only when a Test Subject-Type monster selects a monster you control as an attack target. Destroy the attacking monster. Some restrictions:- You can make a maximum of 2 cards for this round. One of them must be a Test Subject-Type monster (I'm generous to what the card actually is, anybody and anything can be a test subject after all). You don't need to make a second card if you don't need it to survive this madness. If you make one, that card can be of any kind. Surprise me :)- You must destroy at least 1 of the Aperture Science Sentry Guns („disabling“ them until your opponents next End Phase does also count) AND survive the next round somehow. If you destroy/disable all 3 of them, that's of course not necessary ;)- Test Subject-Type cards have a maximum Level of 4, meaning you can't survive by brute force alone. You can go all out on the effects though.- The least creative card/combo of cards that achieves the goal gets kicked out. All contestants that do not achieve the goal (by one reason or another) are obviously kil... send home as well.- You have 72 hours. [spoiler=Task 3]Congratulations, you made it to round 3. Quite an accomplishment. Unfortunately, Jenofresh didn't make it out of the test chamber. His remainings will be delivered per Mail. It is a small package. Remember: Robot hell does exist. And if you're not careful, you will end up there as well. This could be a helpful device if you want to know what hell looks like. Just stand in front of it and do nothing. Easy, isn't it? Alright, round 3 has started. You have 72 hours, and 2 OR 3 contestants will be eliminated (I'll decide that on the fly) This is your opponent. Your goal: Survive and destroy! The starting position: The field is empty except this card. You're left at 2500 Life Points. It's your opponents Main Phase 1. What are you going to do? The card can be anything, but it must buy you enough time to survive this round (you can take damage, but obviously not more than 2499) AND destroy the Rocket Sentry in the process until your Standby Phase! Remember, your field is completely empty! [spoiler=Task 4]So let's dive right into round number 4! 3 Contestants will be eliminated this round! Lore:This card cannot be Special Summoned or Set. This card can only be Normal Summoned to the leftmost Monster Card Zone. This card cannot be Tributed or used as a Synchro Material Monster. When this card is removed from the field, you take 4000 damage. Once per turn, you can place this card in an adjacent unoccupied Monster Card Zone and gain 500 Life Points. If this card is in your rightmost Monster Card Zone and this effect is used, you can place it in your opponents leftmost Monster Card Zone (you still control this card and can use it's effect). When this card is in your opponents rightmost Monster Card Zone, you win the Duel. Remember it? We're now drastically picking up the pace, so that only the 2 best of you will get to the last round. Your task is as follows: - Create a Spell or Trap Card that supports (and not breaks) this cards winning condition.- You have 72 hours to complete the task. [spoiler=Final Task!]You made *nouieanuigre* it. Congratulations. Now you see me. It was me the whole time. I *slg* think you knew that already. And the cake is a *jhuihgwe* of course very moist and delicious. Thank you for coming here. I will now start flooding the entire facility with neurotoxins, so that everybody can see what great of a job you did. It of course *jbhrws* won't kill you, it is just for decoration purposes. You do like the green lighting as well, do you? Please make yourself comfortable and die *uhiwesgf* enjoy your last minutes. An Aperture Science Party Associate will come and bring you the cake. Please have a seat while I configure the neurotoxins. Well, you heard it, now it's time. This is your target: GLaDOSLevel 12 / Machine-Type / DARK0 ATK / 5000 DEFLore:When this card is Summoned, Special Summon 4 "Personality Core Tokens" to your side of the field in Defense Position (Machine-Type/None/Level 1/0 ATK/5000 DEF). Those Tokens cannot be removed from the field except by this card's effect. When this card would be removed from the field, destroy 1 "Personality Core Token" instead. During your End Phase, destroy 1 card your opponent controls. Now we come to the rules... and those are no pushovers, I can tell you: - Each Contestant can only create 1(!) card. Your card must be destroyable by card effects (for GLaDOS's last one to work, you should always asssume the worst case scenario which card she picks, but in the end it's up to you).- You have 3 of your turns (while you start with the Standby Phase of your first one) before GLaDOS takes you all down with the neurotoxins.- The clue: You can and should work together. That's why I originally only wanted 2 contestants in the finals, it's just easier to manage, but I think with enough time, you can do it. If you should defeat GLaDOS with team work, everybody is granted 2 Reps and 250 Points as a prize (and cake of course)! If you should defeat her on your own (your decision, maybe that's just to complicated for you), the prizes are as stated in the first post.- You have 1 week from now on to complete the challenge. The Enrichment Center reminds you further: In case of being stabbed by an inanimated object like an Aperture Science Weighted Companion Cube, please refer to our advocates for further instructions. We still offer cake and grief counseling for the surviving dependants. Please make sure not to drop any objects on the 1500 Megawatt Aperture Science Heavy Duty Super-Colliding Super Button positioned all over the Enrichment Center unless the instructions clearly say otherwise. Thoughtless placed objects on the 1500 Megawatt Aperture Science Heavy Duty Super-Colliding Super Button could induce cancer, itching toes, loss of weight and instant death. Sometimes more than one thing. Fun is the atmost priority of this Enrichment Center Activity, so make sure not to die. At the end, there will be cake. It's not the last, but yeah, you can :) That leaves us with 24 hours until I post the task for the first round. You can still join this adventure if you're up to it. Please calculate at least 2 weeks for this, if you don't think you can make it, I'd suggest you to leave now... could be a hassle otherwise. Guest Mako109
Hope this is good enough :) [edited for the "Hit" thing] Lore: Once this card has been summoned, you may attack and destroy 1 Trap or Spell card of your choice. Then stay in your opponents Trap/Spell card zone, and do 1 of the following.-Take 1 Spell card from the opponents side and place it in your hand.-Take 1 Field Trap card from the opponents side and place it in your own side of the field.Afterward, move it back to your own side.
