Updated.

As of now, (as if it wasn't already happening) I'll be getting less and less updates. I've got a driving class @ 6:30 or so, so I may not be able to be on my computer as often.

And I'm kinda getting tired of this. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can refund you guys, please tell me. It was fun for a while, but now it's too much work. I'll keep it open for awhile, but don't be surprised if this place closes.

This is not a stock update, but rather a thread update. I plan to update at 6, but if I do not I apologize.

I have become increasingly tired of this system. Therefore I'm opting to either shut down, or
pass the thread onto another member. To run the stock system, you need some general math knowledge and a load of patience and time. Magion has already expressed interest in it, but just in case Magion decides to back out, I've included a detailed description on how to run the system if anyone is interested, on the first page. (Note it's just the pm I sent to Magion)

If the system has to be discontinued, I'd be fine with that. I'll either get this locked, or miraculously find a more efficient way to update the stocks with a C++ program or something.

For now, I may update a couple more time but please start selling your stocks. Also please no more purchasing stocks.

Thanks for your business and cooperation throughout the past months,
- Catman

Oh yes, my bad, I seem to have forgotten one of the parts.

Edited with bold:
"As you can see, I'm doing RC. The divisor is in the parenthesis (5). So the first number is the number of posts from the previous day. The next number is the number from today. I subtract these to find the difference. The next step is important. This is only if you are updating after more than 24 hours. In this case, I didn't update the day after, but a week after. Thus it was seven days since the last update. In a sense, we're finding the number of posts per day, so I divide by 7, to equal the number of posts per day. Then divide by the divisor, 5. Which equals the end value, 40 (I rounded up from 39). Then of course just update the thread."

So if you don't update every day, like I didn't, you would also divide by the number of days since the last update. If you update every day, essentially, you're dividing by 1.

Again, this is how I've done it, but feel free to alter the process.

Okay I really appreciate it. It may be a little while, as I need everyone to sell their stocks, since a transfer to your thread would leave me with their points.

I could just send all their points back, but with the new values it may or may not be beneficial. I'll think it over.

Actually, random number generator. ;D

And I actually created a c++ program for calculating the values. I think it might be efficient, because you just type in the numbers and it'll give you the stock values.

Let me know if you would like more info.

^Ok, that works too. I figure I could just send people points to equal the amount of stocks they have at the moment..Or just wait a couple more updates.

For some reason the spoilers won't let me see the info. Can you explain this to me?

Sorry, I could explain it, but we're shutting down soon. But Magion will probably have a new thread opening soon. In a nutshell, you buy the stocks for each forum i.e. News, General, and each has a value. That value fluctuates over time and you can sell your stocks for profit.
