There's heavy over focus on the focal, then some heavy blurring at the edge, which is strenuous.
It just doesn't seem to blend, not much in terms of depth. Also looks like the focal added to a background...

Just doesn't quite work.

I noticed I sharpened the focal too much, and the blurring was heavy.

I quite like the oversharpened focal.
Well done, best I've seen so far from you. It actually has some depth, and it doesn't lack that much effects from what I can see.

You overdid the depth =P But atleast you really read the tut, so gratz for that.
Don't make the blur so heavy next time, think about the tag as a realistic sight and blur it as one too.
