If they [i]are[/i] going to use this new world map feature, then I can't possibly figure how it'll work.

Knowing Square Enix, it'll be obvious and clever at the same time.

In regards to Laguna, I honestly did not see that coming. I was expecting Rinoa or Seifer. But it's cool. Laguna's just as cool as the others.

One more thing:

DAMMIT, CONFIRM A VILLAIN ALREADY!!!!!

I'm not disappointed that Laguna was confirmed, I'm surprised though. I thought Seifer would be a sure thing.

Well, after [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQOEH9stZaM]a brief respite[/url], the world map feature kinda fits into the story. If you remember the Prologue to Dissidia, the WoL said "What's this? I cannot move as I should!", hinting at the 'removal' of the World Map.

Haha Laguna is pretty cool in FF8 finally a person who mainly use guns, But I feel a little sad I wanted Rinoa or Quistis to b the rep for FF8 (sigh) at least this indicates that there's goin 2 b some surprise characters. Quina's chances just got higher *waits for Spoon's reply*

Yea I want a villain to b confirmed as well most likely Gilgamesh will b announced next or an FF9 character *crosses fingers 4 Beatrix* Also the new World Map exploration I'm very excited for, hopefully you can create your own party

Laguna is definitely not the [i]worst[/i] character they could've confirmed, but there are so many better choices (even in Final Fantasy VIII), that it makes me sad panda My personal favourite would've been Rinoa... Dead Fantasy style

Either way, they would never include Quina... I know that there is a fanbase for Vaan (especially over in japan I suppose), and there is an undeniable fanbase for Laguna as well... but Quina just doesn't have that. EVERYBODY hates him/her, and that for a damn good reason :/

hahaha ur Quina comments never get old But yea Vaan has popularity over japan don't know y they admire him but they just do atleast his play style looks interesting in the game he'll do great as my punching bag Also I heard many people requesting that ultimecia 3rd alt. might b a rinoa costume or an edea costume I'll b happy either way.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people were hoping for Seifer to be the new FFVIII rep and that fan base might get him to be another rep from that game. Oh and Prima Vista form IX may be confirmed as a stage soon.

Stop using '4' in the place of 'for'. It's confusing.

While the date is not specific, the game will be released somewhere in Spring 2011 for the US and Euro.

Okay, after we got that out of the way...

Awesome gameplay is awesome. Laguna looks to be another one of those boring ranged characters (while I have to admit, how he handles his weapons... looks kinda epic), but Lightning has some pretty cool moves. Also, Tifa should have won that other fight... seriously, I just can't see this [s]gay[/s] guy win
Yeah, what else? "The Man with a Machine Gun" sounds epic as hell, as does the other song, which I actually didn't recognize... does somebody know? Well, either way, the soundtrack will be again the best the Uematsu era had to offer... sometimes it's just sad that we won't be able to hear it in full HD quality
