Yeah. I'm trying another fanfic. Yaaaay. Like my last one, it starts out horribly. And some stuff doesn't make sense. So bare with the first few chapters, as everything will be explained later. >_> Anyway, don't be harsh with criticism. I'm a little sensitive to that stuff. D:
Credit to Clair for editing again btw.

If you wanna enter a character, let me know through PM.

Also, I'm not good with some of the characters from 5D's, so don't yell at me if I get someone's personality wrong. And, I'll be using a mix of English and Japanese terms. So if you get confused with some of the names, let me know.

...Yeah. That's about it.
Here you go:
Prologue: Legend Of Visions

In the world of Duel Monsters, legendary cards and incredibly powerful deities exist. The power of gods is entrusted to the following... The Crimson Dragon and the beasts known as his servants, the "Signer Dragons". Sealers of evolution, monsters entrusted to change the future, "Machine Emperors". Even gods from the world of Mythology. the "Three Polar Gods of the Stars". And so on.

Somewhere along the course of the distant past, more cards akin to the legends appeared, the "Servants Of The Foreseers". Creatures that served under these gods that had special eyes, eyes that could see future events, such as Ragnarok and Fimbulvetr. These eyes... were deemed as too powerful for any mortal being. The wielders of these eyes were all eventually killed, murdered brutally with the power of stealth. There was a rumor of two survivors... but the whole story is not likely, as most rumors go. The two survivors of the attacks were both sent away from Earth.

However!

The eyes that the survivors are blessed and cursed with are eternal, and no one can hide the truth of Earth's future! A miracle occurs when, through various reincarnation rituals and with the help of their loyal, underground servants, the surviving pair of special-eyed people themselves live on. Now, their eyes will come together... to see the darkness that is coming into focus!
Chapter 1: Fall

Our story begins late at night, out on a cliff, the river crashing against the precipice. A man with blue pants and a black jacket, covering a green undershirt, stood there in silence. His head was topped with a tangle of black and yellow hair. The mysterious man stood there with his hands in his pocket, shuffling about on the dirty ground. His azure-colored eyes calmly watched the sea, the skyline studded with a full moon and twinkling stars, the water thudding against the rocks below.

"Hey, buddy," a voice greeted, making the bystander turn around in surprise. A man with gray pants, an orange shirt, and a yellow vest casually strolled over to the onlooker, a wide grin plastered on his face. He had red hair, with orange highlights splattered down the middle, blending in with the rest of his hair. The newcomer stood next to his friend, a relaxed look on his face.
"Just finished putting little Ruby to sleep."

"Oh? That's nice," the yellow haired man replied distantly, in an uncaring tone.

"'That's nice'? Hey man, come on! At least ask about her or something. You know she likes to call you 'Uncle' Dragan," the red haired man pouted, a teasing look in his eye.

"Alright, I'm sorry. I've just been focused on what Harald told us. Aren’t you at all curious, Brave?" the man named "Dragan" replied, looking over at his friend quizzically. He turned his attention back over to the full moon blazing in the sky, its radiant glow washing over their faces.

"What? Oh, that meteor shower that Harald mentioned? I’m guessing it'll just be another meteor shower like every other one. I mean, ever since Harald put Team Ragnarok together, we've been focused on a lot of things. A little meteor shower isn't going to be something too big compared to everything else we’ve been through, right?" Brave replied rapidly, pausing to catch his breath. These two men were members of the dueling trio "Team Ragnarok”, a team that took part of the World Riding Grand Prix two years ago.

"If Harald told us to watch it, then it must be important." Dragan spoke seriously, turning his eyes back towards the horizon.

“You guys never lighten up. Sheesh," Brave complained. He was sick of working, obviously. The red-haired man thought Team Ragnarok’s work would be done after the WRGP had concluded. However, considering what he had been dragged into, he wasn’t getting a break. Cocky people never get breaks. It's a law, somewhere in Ragnarok’s code.

"We can lighten up, Brave. Just not as much as you," Dragan grumbled, rolling his eyes.

"You’re both serious sad sacks. Come on Dragan, even Harald smirks and grins every once in awhile. You just do it when you're happy, which you only do once in a full moon. And look at that! There’s a full moon, so smile!" Brave wheedled, pointing up at the luminous orb brightening the nightscape. Dragan swiftly punched him without even looking around. "Ow! You punch like my sister!" Brave taunted, quickly recoiling from the punch, his eyes twinkling.

An irritated Dragan glared over at Brave, preparing another punch. "I was kidding!" Brave cried, shielding his face mockingly.

They both turned their attention to the night sky, standing in silence. Brave took a look at his watch and it read 11:50 PM. "Ten minutes..." he quietly informed Dragan, who grunted in acknowledgment.

This shower can't be connected to the Rune Eyes or the Polar Gods. ...can it? Brave was looking up at the sky, now newly curious at what could happen. "Ruby better not get thrown into any of this..." he muttered, shooting a glare at Dragan, who ignored him.

Elsewhere, in Poppo Time...

We now come to an apartment located at the heart of Neo Domino. Tables, chairs, electric tools, and other various objects lay strewn about the concrete ground, three D-Wheels towering above them in the middle of the floor. A tall man with yellow hair and an ivory-colored coat was placing a small object in the white D-Wheel, "Wheel Of Fortune". "Do we honestly need these?" the man asked grumpily, his purple eyes narrowed. A shorter male with orange hair and several yellow criminal marks on his face walked over to a black D-Wheel, "Blackbird".

"Leo and Luna want to take pictures and look through the telescopes. We're going to be nice and bring them some," Orange Hair grinned.

"Aren't they rich or something? Can't they buy their own?" Jack Atlas pouted, turning to face his friend.

"Jack, we have some. We're going to save them some money and lend them ours."

"But-" Jack was cut off by someone opening the front door with a creak. Both men’s eyes turned towards the new arrival.

"Yusei, tell Jack to stop being selfish," the orange-haired man whined.

"I'm not being selfish! I'm just saying that it isn't necessary!" Jack yelled, his purple eyes immediately lit with passion.

"Crow. Jack. Come on, cut it out. Just get the stuff. We don't have long." Yusei broke the argument up with clipped, authoritative sentences, just like he always did. The leader of the team got onto the red D-Wheel "Yusei Go", placing a red helmet on his head. The helmet was a tight fit, as it pushed down the rider’s spiky hair.

"Whose idea was it to take it a five-minute ride over to some cliff for a meteor shower?" Jack asked snidely as he got into “Wheel Of Fortune” and put a white helmet on.

"Oh, stop complaining. You're watching and that's that!" Crow snapped, getting into “Blackbird” and strapping his black helmet on in the process. They each pushed a button on their helmet and visors slid down in front of their eyes, miniature protective shields. The three of them drove out of the apartment, which also doubled as a garage. A few minutes later, they arrived near a precipice, shooting grins at the other people waiting for them.

"About time! Come on, where're the telescopes?" a young boy shouted excitedly, running up to Crow's D-Wheel.

"Relax, you little tike. Jack's got 'em." Crow replied, laughing. The green-haired kid ran over to Jack's D-Wheel and Jack extracted a telescope from his motorcycle.

"Do I have to set this up?" Jack muttered, not wanting to do anything for the little hyperactive child.

"Yes, you do. We can't leave Leo with this kind of stuff. He'll break it." Crow replied sarcastically, a twinkle in his eye.

"Hey! I won't break it!" Leo fiercely replied, puffing his chest out in anger.

"I'm kidding! Take a joke," Crow snickered, patting a blushing Leo on the head. Yusei got the other telescope from his runner and the group walked up to the dirty cliff, where they had a clear view of the night sky and the full moon.

"How does one see meteors with a bright moon anyway?" Jack asked Crow, a somewhat confused look on his handsome face.

"Don't ask me. I don't know how eyes work. Especially the weird kind of eyes," Crow answered, looking pointedly at Jack, who scowled. Then, two girls, an red-haired adult and a younger child strolled over to them all.

"You made it," the red haired girl spoke softly, smiling towards Yusei.

"Yeah, we're here. I thought that was kinda obvious," Crow blurted before Yusei could say anything. "...Never mind me." Crow muttered when Yusei and the girl looked towards him, an abashed look on his face.

"Hmm... the moon might be too bright..." the young girl muttered to herself, gazing at the stars.

"Too bright for what, Luna?" Leo asked his twin sister curiously.

"How are we supposed to take pictures?" Luna asked. "The moon is shining too much…"

"How do you take pictures of meteors?" Jack interrupted, before Luna got an answer to her query.

"Jack. Don't ever question the powers of photography. They're like cards. They hold infinite amounts of power." Crow responded, wagging his finger knowingly. Of course, he was joking.

"Infinite amounts of power? Are you telling me these things are like god cards? Because if they are, I'll be keeping them," Jack replied seriously, his eyes narrowed.

"Pffft. You wish you could keep them for yourself," Crow answered tauntingly. They were both playing around.

"Aki, I hope you enjoy watching the meteor shower," Yusei said to the red haired girl. The two stood off to the side, away from the others.

"I will if everyone is here watching it with us," she replied, a small smile gracing her lips.

"Oh, would you both shut up and kiss already?" Crow yelled bluntly. They were pretty much asking for him to shout that. Since Yusei and Aki were so close, Crow was just basically waiting for them to do it.

"Not enough time!" Leo spoke up, shooting a glance at his watch. "One minute left!"

"Oh crap. Jack, set up the telescopes." Crow ordered, his eyes darting every which way.

"You do it!" Jack replied angrily. Nobody ordered the King around!

"I would, but I'm busy," Crow declared, shuffling his feet.

"Doing?"

"...Standing. Now get the damn telescopes!" After some loud bickering, they both set up the devices. With some of the advanced technology they had with them, the team somehow hooked up the cameras to the telescopes so they could take the pictures of the shower. Don't ask how, and don't question the technology in Yu-Gi-Oh! either.

In a mansion, a man with blue hair, grey pants, a white jacket, and a yellow vest with a white undershirt sat in a comfy chair near a large window. The room was dark, but lit by the moonlight. He looked up into the nightscape from his window and smiled. "Ten..."

Brave and Dragan stood side by side on the cliff. "Nine..." Dragan whispered.

"Eight..." Brave followed, winking at his partner.

"Seven..." Jack counted, putting up his fingers slowly.

"Six..." Leo’s voice rang out into the night.

"Five..." Then Luna’s quiet one.

"Four..." Then Aki’s studious one.

"Three..." Then Crow’s bright and raspy one.

"Two..." Then Yusei’s authoritative one.

"...One..." An unknown male uttered the final number, veiled by the darkness. Suddenly, visible meteors began raining down. Somehow, even with the moonlight, they were clearly visible. Crow, smiling, saw two meteors falling quite close to one another and his expression became curious. What the...?

"During this meteor shower, the foreseers will descend..." the male in the mansion spoke. His left eye's pupil morphed into a blue "Ash" symbol. On the other cliff, Brave's left eye's pupil became a dark pink "Hail" symbol. Dragan's pupil morphed into a green "Thorn" symbol.

With Yusei and company, the five birthmarks of the Crimson Dragon began glowing in response to the meteor shower. "Huh?" Crow gasped, surprised. He hurriedly looked over at the others, who were looking at their own arms in shock and interest.

"What is this?" Jack asked Yusei, his purple eyes wide. Yusei looked up at the falling meteors and noticed the two that Crow had seen falling side by side.

"Does it have to do with those?" Yusei asked as he pointed them out. They were falling exactly parallel to each other, appearing to be otherworldly.

Suddenly, a spark quickly jolted in between the meteors.
"And eventually, Ragnarok shall be made clear."
An explosion broke the two meteors away from another. But they weren't even meteors once they broke away. The rocks split apart to reveal two young people, a young girl and a young man. The youthful girl flew to the left of the city as the male flew in the opposite direction.

"That other one is headed straight for...!" Aki gasped, noting where the girl was headed.

"The Satellite!" the rest of the team shouted in realization as two explosions were heard in the distance.

What on earth just happened?

Chapter 2: Aoi

Roaring towards the crash site on their D-Wheels, Yusei and company arrived at Poppo Time, out of breath with nervous apprehension. Disembarking their motorcycles, the whole crew quickly took a surveying glance over the entire scene, which contained a gaping crater and an abundant amount of smoke. "Looks like nothing important was destroyed..." Crow informed the group, scratching his orange locks quizzically.

"Hey! Look!" Leo shouted, waving his arms excitedly at the team. Yusei and the others looked over in his direction and noticed patrol cars and motorcycles screeching to sudden halts around the impact site. Apparently, Sector Security had already launched an investigation.

"We just got here! How the hell were they faster than us?" Crow growled, visibly miffed.

"We can ask Kazama about it." Jack told them, pointing towards a blue-haired police officer. Yusei looked towards the high-ranking policeman with his usual calculating gaze.

"Are you sure he'll tell us about it?" Yusei asked softly, turning towards Jack with a serious look in his eye.

"We've saved the world TWICE. If they don't tell us, they're a bunch of morons," Crow interrupted coarsely, before the King could even open his mouth to speak.

"We can hear you."
Crow’s cocky grin fell off his face as a Neo Domino policeman rode up to the group, undoubtedly trying to see if they were suspicious or shady.

"Whoops. Sorry officer," Crow apologized energetically, bowing his head out of respect.

"What are you guys doing here anyway?" The police officer ignored Crow’s brown-nosing, turning to the rest of the group with his query.

"We saw that meteor in the sky fall in this direction," Aki replied softly, nervously looking over at the cop.

"Oh. Well, this is the crash site," the officer stated bluntly, pointing to the smoking, earthy indent behind him. Jack and Crow’s eyes lit up.

"We know, we know!” Crow and Jack shouted in unison, pushing past the surprised Sector guard, running towards the crater. The rest of the group soon followed, and the befuddled officer could only turn around and shout:
"Wait! We're still investigating!"
---

"Kazama!" Jack shouted with relief in his voice. He ran over to a familiar-looking man, who casted him a smile from behind a blue helmet visor.

"Jack..." the Sector Security cop murmured. “It’s been a while…”

"Holy hell! It really did crash here!" The two men were interrupted by Crow, who had scampered up from behind the former King. Crow peered curiously over the lip of the impact, a surprised expression quickly over taking his tattooed features.
"Well, where's the... um... meteor?" he asked, turning to Kazama with a confused look on his face.

"Crow. It isn't a meteor," Yusei said quietly, looking over Crow at the impact below. "It's a person, remember?" Crow’s mind flashed back to the meteor falling apart, revealing what looked to be a human being…

"Oh, yeah! We were totally watching the rock, when suddenly, we saw some girl fly out of it!" Crow exclaimed, snapping his fingers.

Kazama’s eyes shifted downwards at the mention of the situation. "We're taking the girl to the hospital. She had a couple of-"

"Kazama! We need to know who that is!" Jack interrupted Kazama, grabbing the surprised officer’s arm. “The birthmarks reacted to the falling of the girl, so she had to be important in some way! I, Jack Atlas, deserve to know her identity!"

"Oh, would you shut up with your third person speak?" Crow yelled at Jack, his eyes bulging comically. The two friends immediately started arguing with one another, slinging petty insults and comebacks around like mud.

"Guys! Stop! We need to focus!" Luna let out a rare shout of exasperation, breaking up the argument on the spot.

"... Fine," the two D-Wheelers pouted, shooting a final glare at each other. Both of them folded their arms and turned away from each other, prissy looks upon their red faces.

"I can tell you what hospital and the room number," Kazama said to Yusei, ignoring the spat between the two young men.

"Is that really alright?" Aki asked Kazama, a concerned look etched upon her face. He was a Neo Domino officer, after all.

"You all have saved us time and time again. If you think she's really important, then it'd probably be a good idea to let you guys investigate before something else happens." Kazama replied reassuringly, confident that the 5D’s team could figure out just what the heck was going on.

Thanks to Jack and Crow’s impromptu D-Wheel race (and subsequent crash), the group all arrived at the Neo Domino Hospital later than expected. Jack rubbed an angry bump on his head while Crow cracked his back, letting out a groan as all the tension left his spine.

"So, whoever this girl is, she's got somethin' to do with us... we had best be prepared," Crow muttered to everyone as they waled up to the door in which the mystery girl was staying. Jack cracked it open, still grumbling about faulty D-Wheeling helmets, and team 5D’s all entered, their bodies filling the cozy room. An officer was speaking with the doctor in hushed tones, looking up in surprise at the newcomers.

"Oh god, Trudge." Crow groaned, as the burly man immediately flushed red.

"What do you mean by 'Oh god, Trudge'?" the officer growled, angered at Crow's lack of respect for a higher-up.

"Hello, Officer Trudge," Aki bowed, and gave him a proper greeting. She hoped it would make him feel better.

"Thank you, Ak-"

"That's her?" Leo asked on the left side of the bed, getting obnoxiously close to the snoozing patient dozing there. Trudge simply groaned and grumbled about kids these days. On the bed lay a girl with short, black hair. She had a long strand of hair that was raised up over her forehead, making her appear quite comical at first glance.

"Yep. She had nasty bruises on her when we found her. You know, probably from when she hit the ground." Trudge answered, shuddering at the thought of falling from such a great height.

"Kinda-" Crow spoke up, but Jack silenced him with a purple-eyed glare. He rubbed his head irritably.

"Shut up Crow, before you even finish that sentence,” the King snapped, not willing to let go of a grudge. After all, Crow was probably about to say something callous.

"What? I was gonna say she was kinda cute! Yeesh," Crow sighed, looking over at the girl with a curious gleam in his eye.

"Do you know who she is?" Luna asked Trudge quietly. Everybody turned to listen, for this question had been on the back of their minds as well.

"Yeah, actually. We found an ID on her." Trudge responded gruffly, extracting an ID from his left pocket. Yusei quickly took the plastic card from the officer’s outstretched hand.

"I guess aliens need IDs too..." Crow said, trying to make a joke. He snickered to himself, but nobody else cracked a smile.

"What would an alien need a human ID for?" Jack asked Crow, a condescending tone invading his voice. The gang braced themselves, for they all knew what was about to happen.

"For when they visit the Earth and gather intell before they actually invade. This could be the beginning." Crow replied mysteriously, looking Jack straight in the eye.

"If that's the case, all we need to do is study the Alien Arche-"

"Hey. You two. Focus." Yusei interrupted their interesting conversation with his sharp voice. "The ID reads 'Aoi Accelitir'."

"What the hell is 'Accelitir' suppose to mean?" Crow asked, musing over the odd name. "Is that alien-speak for 'Speed'?"

"Don't ask us." Trudge replied, a clueless look upon his face. "This card is all we have on her, though. She's sixteen, and... that's it. We can't find any records of her. No relatives, either."

"Maybe her relatives are-" Crow was immediately cut off by the hand of Jack Atlas before he started on his alien nonsense again.

"I'm not surprised that there aren’t any records. She came from... well... space," Yusei said, somewhat hesitating, scratching his head with confusion.

"What's wrong Yusei? Afraid of aliens?" Leo taunted, his bright-green eyes shining.

"No..." Yusei mumbled, shooting a wary glance at the younger boy.

"Hmm?" Everybody swiveled as the doctor looked up from a fancy, high-tech monitor.

"What's up, doc?" Crow asked curiously, tilting his head to see the monitor.

"There's something wrong with the patient's left eye," he muttered, walking over to the girl. He cracked open her eye lid. Her pupil shone a bright pink, and it actually looked... animated, as if something was moving forward from the depths of her eyes. The Crimson Dragon birthmarks suddenly blazed on each of the Signers' arms as they glanced at Aoi’s odd pupil.

"The birthmarks are reacting to her eye?" Jack muttered, awestruck. Yusei turned over to the doctor, eyes fixated on his arm.

"Open her other eye, please." Yusei requested softly. The doctor nodded respectfully and opened her right eyelid. The iris was blue, and perfectly normal-looking.

"Eh? Does she have pinkeye or something?" Crow asked the doctor, concerned.

"That can't be pinkeye. No matter how pink it looks," Aki answered for him, eyes on her arm.

"Well, our marks are reacting to whatever is wrong with her..." Luna mused to herself, explaining the obvious.

"So what do we do, Yusei? We can't just let this sit." Crow looked up at the leader of Team 5D’s for instructions. "I mean, if her freaky eye has something to do with the Dragon marks and she flew in from space, we definitely need to look into it. Right?" Crow Hogan looked eager now, his eyes shining brightly under the fluorescent lights.

"...We could always keep her with us until we figure out." Yusei responded, after pondering Crow’s words for a couple of minutes.

"Wait a minute. This girl came from space and she has some weird eye that the marks react to. She could be some enemy agent from another planet and you want to take her in?" Jack asked, shooting a nervous look at the girl lying placidly on the bed.

"Oh come on, Jack! She has no relatives, and for all we know, she could have no clue about herself! This girl hasn't even done anything wrong yet, so would it be a crime to just let her stay with us for a while?" Crow yelled, making the King flinch. Jack is acting all cautious when he barely knows a thing about the poor kid. the orange-haired rascal thought angrily. Suddenly, Aoi’s strange eye color faded into nothingness, an azure color flooding her left pupil. The marks stopped glowing.

"Look Captain Cautious. The marks stopped freaking out and her eye is back to normal, happy?" Crow seethed.

"I still don't think it would be a good idea," Jack waffled, his eyes on the ground.

“Well, that’s too bad.” With that declarative statement, Crow ended the argument.

“When can we pick her up?” Aki asked Trudge, who tore his eyes away from the feuding duelists.

“Tomorrow,” he muttered to her in a hushed tone.

“Tomorrow? Wouldn't she need more time to heal?” Aki questioned, doubting that Aoi would be well enough to go anywhere. She had just fell from space, after all.

“Surprisingly, no. Look.” Trudge pointed to Aoi's face. She had an open gash on her creamy skin. As Aki and the others watched in awe, the blemish quickly resealed itself. Team 5D’s could only gape at this healing spectacle.

“How the-?” Crow started, his voice shaking.

“Maybe it's one of her alien powers?” Leo interrupted, taking a closer look at Aoi.

“That's why she only needs a day?” Yusei asked Trudge again, who nodded in confirmation.

“Pretty much,” Trudge murmured, his rough face suddenly splitting into a grin.

“Alright. I'll pick her up tomorrow morning,” Yusei said with authority, rising from the side of the bed.

“We'll need to-” Trudge was quickly cut off by Yusei’s hand, which had laid itself on the officer’s shoulder.

“No worries, Trudge. We'll question her.”

“...You better let us know how it goes,” Trudge grumbled, casting a furtive look at Aoi Accelitir.

“I will. Come on, everyone.” Yusei strode out of the small room, the others loyally following behind him, as if he were the Pied Piper. Trudge exited some minutes after Yusei and company left. Taking one last look at Aoi, Trudge scratched his head.

“What's about to happen...?”

The next day, Yusei had already picked up a sleeping Aoi. At the hospital, they had given the space girl her clothes back. She wore a white shirt with several blue butterflies printed on the top left corner. The “alien” also sported blue nylon pants and white tennis shoes. Yusei arrived at Poppo Time, walking inside of the apartment while cradling her in his arms, as if Aoi were made of glass.

“Damn, she still isn't up?” Crow asked, looking up from his coffee as Yusei walked in. “She must be havin' a goooood dream.” Crow stared wistfully into the distance.

“I need somewhere to lay her down,” Yusei said clearly, panting a bit.

“Um... I could clear off the table since we don't have the futons out. Her back and head might be hurtin' afterwards but... yeah,” Crow suggested awkwardly as he tossed a wrench to the floor. However, before Yusei could lay Aoi down, the girl stirred in his arms.

“She's waking up!” Luna notified everyone of the obvious, her eyes widening.

“We can all see that…”Jack grumbled. Slowly, Aoi's eyes began opening up to the sight of Yusei's face. Yusei quickly set the girl down as she groggily shook her head. Aoi rubbed her eyes as she looked around her, looking like a frightened, lost puppy.

“Who...? Where...?” Her voice was soft, and wracked with confusion.

“Mornin', Sleeping Beauty. Have a nice nap?” Crow greeted casually, giving Aoi a two-fingered salute. She looked at Crow, wondering who the hell he was. “I'm Crow Hogan,” Crow added quickly.

“Crow... Hogan?” Aoi shook her head again. Maybe she was still dreaming.

“Yep! Crow “the Bullet” Hogan to be exact!” Crow puffed his chest out proudly he prepared to begin bragging about his D-Wheeling feats, but Jack swiftly punched him in the arm before he said anything further. “Ow!” Crow let out a yelp of pain, and Aoi looked more confused than ever before.

“I'm Yusei Fudo.” Yusei stepped up next, offering the girl a hand, which she shook softly. Leo bounded up to her after Yusei had stepped back, and after some time, Team 5D’s had introduced themselves to the befuddled girl.

“If you're wondering about where you are. You're in our hideout.” Crow informed her, eyes darting around with fake suspicion. Aoi nodded and began surveying the room again.

“Let's get to the point here.” Jack killed the moment with a sharp tone. “Do you know who you are?”

“Yeah. I'm Aoi Accelitir,” she answered, albeit cautiously.

“All right! She remembers her name! Now we don't have to start raising her from scratch!” Crow happily told the team. Aoi flushed a bit at his remark.

“From scratch? I think I'd remember my own name. I’m not that stupid,” Aoi replied eying the orange-haired duelist coldly.

“...Lovely. She already hates me and I didn't do anything wrong,” Crow muttered, stepping away from the black-haired girl.

“Okay. Do you know where you're from?” Yusei asked her, quickly changing the subject. Aoi turned to Yusei, her brain wracked with concentration.

“I'm from... umm...” Aoi furrowed her brow.

“Oh, great. So she remembers her name, but forgets everything else. Well, at least she has a pretty face…” Crow mumbled. Immediately, he ducked as a metal wrench zipped towards his face, clanging into the wall. “Haha!” he teased, shooting a look at the other members of the team, wondering who had thrown the wrench.

“Stop implying that I'm nothing but a pretty face, you jerk!” Aoi yelled, her cheeks red with embarrassment. She was the one who threw the wrench.

“Well, you don't having anything goin' for you in the ches-” Crow needled. He had no time to react as a second wrench caught him in the stomach, putting the young man on the ground, moaning.

“Nice aim!” Jack commended Aoi’s precision with a broad smile upon his face. “At first, I thought it'd be dangerous to keep you here, but now I see that it was a good idea! Excellent decision, Yusei!” Jack grinned at the fallen Crow.

“...Yeah, thanks.” Yusei bluntly responded, keeping his serious eyes trained on Aoi.

“Damn it, that's not funny Jack!” Crow shouted, clutching his stomach.

“But this is!” The King shot back.

“Arrrrrgh!” Crow launched himself at Jack, attempting to destroy him with his bare hands.

“...Ignoring them...” Aki rolled her eyes, moving back to the original topic. “Do you remember anything else?”

“Yes, anything else will help us.” Luna added as Aoi started scratching her head, thinking fiercely.

“Um...”

“Yes?” Crow and Jack both urged, picking themselves up off the floor.

“I think... I remember something about some card...” Aoi murmured, her eyes focused sharply on the ground.

“A card?” Luna asked, her eyes widening.

“A Duel Monster card?” Leo questioned cautiously, only to be the latest victim of Aoi’s confused stare.

“What the heck is that?” Aoi asked, looking around at her rescuers.

“How the hell does she not know about-” Crow was quickly cut off by Aki, a petrified expression on his face.

“She's not from here...” Aki reminded him, and Crow slapped a hand to his head.

“...Oh.” Crow had completely forgotten for a few seconds. Yusei extracted a Monster Card from his pocket and showed it to her.

“This is a Duel Monster card,” he said, watching her expression closely. The aforementioned card was Yusei's famous Junk Synchron.

“Really?” Aoi looked down at the piece of cardboard, an intrigued expression upon her face.

“Hey. Is she trying to remember something or is she studying the thing?” Crow whispered to Jack, who scratched his head.

“I'm going to say the latter,” Jack replied quietly, as they both studied the girl. She was really focused on such a mundane card.

“Would you like to hold it?” Yusei asked Aoi carefully, a smile upon his face. He was happy that she was interested in the game. It was nice to see people wanting to play. Aoi quickly grabbed the card without a word. Yusei watched as Aoi ran her fingers over the smooth surface of the cardboard, tracing Junk Synchron.

“Be careful, it might come out and poke you in the eye,” Crow sarcastically warned her, Aoi let out a squeak of fright and held the card at arm’s length. She thinks I'm serious! Crow snickered, watching as Aoi handed the card back to Yusei, albeit hesitantly.

“Would you like a deck?” Yusei asked her, an excited expression on his face.

“A... deck?” Aoi looked at Yusei curiously, eliciting a groan from Crow.

“We're going to have to explain how to draw cards to this girl before she even starts dueling seriously.” Crow whined, putting his head in his hands.

“Well, it can't be that hard, right?” Aki tried to cheer Crow up, patting his head awkwardly.

“Hopefully, not for her. It’s just… you know there are these hopeless cases. Kinda like Leo.”

“Hey! I am NOT a hopeless case! I'm a good duelist!” Leo yelled defensively at Crow's biting remark.

“I was kidding! Take a joke!” Crow held up his hands in a mock show of surrender.

“...Am I a hopeless case?” Aoi asked Yusei, a concerned look upon her face. Yusei patted her on the head.

“Well, you haven't dueled yet. And you haven't made a deck yet. So don't worry about it, because you’re new to this game in general, ” Yusei reassured her. Aoi cracked a smile at his words.

“Oh, hey!” Crow exclaimed, waving his hands in remembrance. “Let's ask her about the crash, before we do anything!”

“Oh, right!” Leo agreed. Aoi looked slightly frightened as they both ran up to her.

“Hey, do you remember how you got here?” Crow asked her casually, studying the new girl.

“...No?” Crow and the others sighed at her answer dubious answer. Aoi felt like she had said the wrong thing, and blushed.

“Figures. Maybe the impact screwed around with her brain. Maybe that’s why she forgot so much important stuff.” Crow grumbled. He was in a complaining mood today.

“The... impact?” Aoi asked, eyeing the orange-haired D-Wheeler quizzically.

“Yeah! The impact! You came down from the sky in a meteor, which made a huuuuge crater!” Leo informed her excitedly, waving his arms around. Aoi checked for signs of mental retardation before turning to the others.

“A meteor? I hit the ground like a meteor?” Aoi asked them all, a doubtful look upon her face.

“What the-” Crow stopped himself to say something more civilized. “How does someone forget that they hit the ground like a freakin' meteor?”

“Maybe the impact made her forget?” Luna gave Crow her theory, a pensive look upon her face.

“The impact could've caused her to forget everything else. So… how could she forget the thing that caused her to forget what she forgot?” Crow asked, shaking his head. This is too confusing!

“I forgot,” Luna replied, also confused. Crow moaned in irritation.

“Gah! My head hurts!” Crow lamented, pulling on some of his hair.

“Hmm... maybe someone made her forget where she came from, among other things?” Jack told them all, presenting his own theory.

“Who?” Aki asked him, a calculating look on her face.

“I don't know…” Jack replied, scratching his head.

“I have no idea what you guys are talking about...” Aoi groaned, lamenting the fact that she couldn’t help this team find out more about herself.

“...Look. There are too many questions that are impossible to answer at this point.” Yusei declared, cutting everybody off. Unlike Crow, he was remaining calm about the situation. “For now, how about we let her memories come back by themselves?”

“Seems like a better plan than this. This plan is drivin' us all crazy...” Crow agreed, nursing a headache. The others acquiesced with Yusei as well.

“So, how about that deck?” Yusei grinned, laughing slightly as Aoi’s azure eyes lit up.

“The deck? Oh! Right! Come on! Let's make it!” Aoi was bursting with excitement as she swung her legs off the table.

“She's interested, obviously.” Jack said happily. Maybe she’d make a good opponent for the King.

“Ten bucks says that we can make her a kickass duelist,” Crow whispered to Jack, wanting to bet on her future.

“I'm not betting against that,” Jack hissed back.

“You scared?” Crow imitated Jack, biting his nails and putting on a pouting expression.

“No…” Jack rolled his eyes.

“You chicken?”

“No.”

“You-”

“No, damn it!” Jack snapped, turning back to Crow with a death glare blazing within his purple eyes.

“He's definitely chicken.” Aoi chimed in. Jack could only hit the table next to him out of frustration. Aoi began to laugh. Yusei, Aki, and Luna happily watched Aoi assimilate with their group. No one dared bring up the burning question in the back of their minds.
She seems normal, but…

Why are they on them again?
...Because duels take place in the evolved world of speed?

It's good, but when does my guy show? It looks like it's going to be 90% canon characters. >.>

It's only the first chapter. Have a little patience. Your character will show up eventually. >_>

Chapter 2... yeah.. you pretty much got a sucker out of me. i say, i think you perfectly got the teams persoalties down... not to sure i'd see crow say "Oh god" over "Oh Man" though. I am looking forward to seeing more of this... Almost forgot, i feel like i can see this in an actual episode... since i tend to visualise it like that.

This really makes me want to give my fanfic another shot...

Thanks for uploading! and looking forward to more.
