YCM Forums and My Browser

Spoon

Question

Hi there,

I actually got a problem with the forum and my browser... this can't be normal anymore. Following scenario: I start my computer like normal, start Firefox, go to YCM and try to leave a post at a random location. Now it loads... and loads... and loads. I finally give up and go to the forum mainpage. Well, at least that's what I want to do. But it doesn't load either. So I try Youtube, just to check if my internet collapsed. It doesn't load... I close the browser and check my alternate one, Safari. Everything's fine, starting page opens without any problems. Now I get curious and open YCM. No problems here either. I go to the location where I posted, and the post's still there, even though it didn't load anything. Strange enough, I now try to re-open Firefox... and it won't let me. It states that there's already a Firefox instance open (which is stupid because I always have 2 or 3 instances open) and won't let me start another one.

Essentially it's this: If I try to post (only posting, editing and voting in polls, browsing seems fine), YCM blocks my entire browser. Only thing I can do is to restart my PC, but that doesn't stop it form happening again.

If anybody wants to say "then use Safari...", I have to answer: "It's not that easy...". Because there seems to be a problem with that as well. Essentially it's the same as with Firefox, it doesn't load the site if I post/edit/vote. But where FF completely screws up and won't let me do anything, after I posted on Safari I can just go to the mainpage, open another Tab and go back to where I started, and everything's fine, except that I waste a lot of time where I could comfortably browse the forums.

Does anybody have the same problem, is it known already? Or is that a problem with my PC/Browser, that only I alone can fix?

Thanks for reading, and I hope you can help me,

Spoon

PS: I already tried to reinstall Firefox. Doesn't change anything. I'll now try my copy of Antivir...
