Pokemon Paramount Ventures! The New Cygrus Region! [IC/Accepting via OOC]

Randy wasn't surprised that Diglet didn't win, because Diglet wasn't that strong. Unlike Dugtrio, Diglet wanted to make friends more than get stronger or learn new moves. Dugtrio liked to spend all his time fighting but his little bro could make him calm down when they were both in public. Dugtrio is always fighting, even if it has to be a mental battle with Diglet over who was Randy's favorite. They get into those fights all the time, But, there will never be a loser because they are both Randy's favorite. "Return Diglet!" Randy called out as Diglet flew back into the pokeball. "Go Dugtrio!" Randy shouted as he threw the pokeball that was attached to the far right of his belt. Dugtrio came out of his pokeball and taunted Electabuzz with all three of his heads.

[Zextra]

"Electabuzz! Signal Beam, now!" Caden commanded, as Electabuzz fired off a green and red colored beam at Dugtrio. "Heh...it shouldn't be able to dig since I smashed the entire arena last round. "Now, hit Signal Beam with Focus Blast!" As the Signal Beam fired along, Electabuzz charged a glowing energy sphere and shot it at the Signal Beam. The two attacks collided and exploded, raining down shards of green, red, blue, and yellow all around Dugtrio. "It can't escape now" Caden thought as he watched Dugtrio being surrounded by the shards.

Dugtrio was Randy's toughest pokemon and simply able to endure almost anything, but was the oppenent going to attack Dugtrio with a Direct move already? "Okay, Dugtrio! Bide!" Randy shouted. Randy heard his Father's voice almost like he was speaking to Randy.[I]"Randy, If Dugtrio keeps this up he will almost be indestructable!!"[/I] The words came from the time Randy and his father watched Dugtrio practise against wild pokemon all day. Randy let the words get to him. His eyes begin to water a bit. But before a tear began to form Dugtrio turned torwards Randy and gave him a taunt. Randy gave Dugtrio a smirk as he wiped his tears away. "Get ready for it, Dugtrio!!" Randy shouted "Dug!" Dugtrio almost Barked from his main head.

[Zextra]

"Alright, while it's in Bide, it can't do a thing. Plus, I have a perfect counter for Bide even when it does strike" Caden thought to himself. "Electabuzz, use a Double Ice Punch Barrage!" Caden commanded. Both of Electabuzz's fists turned bright blue, and it lunged in for the attack. "Electivire, attack continuously with both fists!" Caden shouted. Electabuzz gave punch after punch using its Ice Punch Barrage. Caden knew that Dugtrio was almost ready to unleash the energy. "Keep going until Dugtrio releases its attack!" Caden declared, as Electabuzz kept hitting Dugtrio with Ice Punch. "All right, with that many super-effective Ice Punches, it won't hold on for much longer" Caden thought.

Randy was appauled by the durabuility that Dugtrio had built up over the years. Not only was he perfectly fine punch after punch, but he was about to unleash that stored energy all over the opponent. "Keep it up Dugtrio!!" Randy shouted. "Dug-!" Dugtrio was holding up just fine. Randy didn't have much of a plan for his Gym battles besides for throwing Dugtrio at them and hope he eats them for Breakfest and lunch. "Hey, Caden, you seem to be a level-headed trainer. Have you been threw this kind of competition before?" Randy asked. This was going to be a long fight if Caden's pokemon can take a hit or two.

[Zextra]

"You'll just have to find out about that, won't you?" Caden smiled. "Now, watch this!" Caden yelled. "Electabuzz, jump up, then fire off 3 Focus Blasts in a triangle formation!" Caden declared. The three Focus Blasts hit in a triangle, creating an explosion right at Dugtrio's base. The shards from the 3 Focus Blasts blinded Dugtrio. "Now, Fire 3 more!" Electabuzz Fired 3 more!" Elevtabuzz created 3 more Focus Blasts. "And now, Psychic!" Electabuzz's eyes flashed blue and so did the 3 Focus Blasts. The 3 Focus Blasts melded together to form a giant vortex. "Now, release the Focus Vortex!" Caden commanded, and the huge whirlpool of energy crashed down on Dugtrio. "Now, go straight down with a double Ice Punch!" Caden said. Electabuzz charged into a point-blank Ice Punch right on Dugtrio's head. With the earlier explosion from the Focus Vortex, even Electabuzz felt the recoil. "Electabuzz, get back now!" he called. "Even if it survives this, it couldn't retain all that energy!" Caden thought. "Statistically, the Vortex's strength far surpasses Dugtrio's defense" Caden smiled.

Dugtrio tried its best to stand tall to all the attacks thrown at him but he began to show some pain. Randy Gave Dugtrio a smirk and Dugtrio nodded back. "Do It now! Unleash your energy!" Randy Commanded. Dugtrio charged at the opponent and unleashed all the stored energy in a blinding attack. The force that blew out from Dugtio pushed Randy back. "DUG!" Dugtrio Barked as its attack was launched. "yeah!" Randy shouted. Dugtrio was so much more stronger than the last time Randy fought with him. Was Randy getting excited? This match with Caden just seems to be getting better.

[Zextra]

"As I said, that's not going to get you anywhere! You may have charged up a lot of energy, but here's a counter that can't be broken! Electabuzz, Protect!" Electabuzz put up a spherical barrier that took the attack. Then, the Bide strike dissipated. "Wow...." Caden looked amazed. "I can't....that attack actually made a nick in the Protect barrier! That's never happened before!" Caden thought. "Impressive, Randy! You almost got through Protect!" Caden said. "But...that's just not enough!" Caden declared. "This is probably all Electabuzz has left with 'them'..." Caden thought. "One last time! Triple Focus Blast, go!!!" Caden yelled, as Electabuzz charged his 3 Focus Blasts. "Now, psychic, but this time, use the twin nebula formation!" Caden commanded. Instead of creating a vortex, the 3 Focus Blasts combined into 2 enormous, rainbow-colored rings which spun around Dugtrio. "Now, constrict it!" Caden shouted. The two rings tightened around Dugtrio, and they continued to tighten, until.... the entire arena disintegrated. Dugtrio had taken the full impact of the attack.

[Kakkon_Wolf]

Harmony was walking in Gradnis, on her way to the gym. There she was attacked by a wild Scyther, "Hmm... a Scyther, perfect for the grass gym.Ok, Lumineon go!" She threw the pokeball and Lumineon appeared in the nearby puddle. "Lumenoen, he's too fast but we still have a chance. Use Ice Beam!!" the cyan beam shot out of Lumineon's mouth, but missed as Scyther dodged it. "Ok, Lumineon keep the Ice Beam coming!" Lumineon kept shooting and missing, it looked like random shots but soon, the result was obvious - The trees in the area of the battle were frozen and ice seemed like a circle mirror. "Now! Finish it!" Luineon used Ice Beam on the ice mirrors and the beam started reflecting from the mirrors, the Scyther kept on dodging until he was hit and flash frozen. Harmony threw a pokeball to capture it. The pokeball wiggled a bit and stopped. "Great, I just have to teach it some moves, borrow a pokemon from Candice and i'm ready for my first real gym battle." Harmony went through the forest and went into the Pokemon Center, in Gradnis Village. She healed her pokemon and called Candice on the Video Phone. "Hi Candice, how are you doing?" "Fine! How are you? How's Vaten?" "Fine!Hey can I borrow one of your pokemon for my first gym battle?" "Sure, what type's the gym?" "It's a grass-type" "For that, I think you could make good use of Medicham, it has some good fire-type attacks." "Thanks alot!" "No problem, anytime!" A pokeball appeared in the slot of the video phone. "Thanks, bye!" "Good luck!!!" The conversation was over. Harmony took and went out of the center to train her pokemon. After some training she went into the gym. There seemed to be a battle going on between a Leafeon and a Trapinch.

[~Demyx~]

Mako walked into the gym later to see the gym leader already battling. Well, that was just great, how was he supposed to battle? He walked out, slightly depressed. He knew that the Gym Leader had 3 pokemon, so he should catch another. "Go Charmeleon! And Scyther!" said Mako. Charmeleon and Scyther appeared. Together, they walked out into the desert near the village. A while later, after many attemps to keep going, Mako finally stopped. He couldnt go on. But then, something appeared. A pokemon...Mako got up. That was why he was in the desert. The sandstorm blowing then chose to stop. The pokemon was a .... he actually didnt know. But after looking carefully, he noticed that it was a Numel. Ground wasnt good against Grass, but Fire was. Both his pokemon were at a disadvantage though. He decided that Charmeleon would do better, so he called back Scyther. "Alright Charmeleon, use Dragon Rage!" said Mako. Charmeleon raged at Numel. Numel shook the grouund. It felt as though a minor earthquake, but Charmeleon was knocked into the air. "Charmeleon, use your scratch!" said Mako. Charmeleon spinned in the air like a drill and aimed at Numel. Numel sent out embers, but Charmeleon hit him square in the chest. Numel was pushed backwards. "Nows my chance! Go pokeball!" said Mako, catching Numel. He then found something in the ground. It looked like a cd, a tm! He read what it said and it was called Sandstorm. "I should teach Numel that!" said Mako outloud. He walked back to Grabnis Village, healed, taught, and trained, until he was ready to taake on the gym leader.

[Dementuo]

Atrus woke up, having slept in until 10:00, though for a good reason. He had been practicing all night, and had mannaged to catch a new Pokémon. "Ugh... That was a hard night... Oh well." Atrus got up, and looked out his window. "Today I challange the Terramean Gym. With my new Pokémon, that shouldn't be a problem." Atrus thought. He got dressed, then went over to the Gym. He walked in on Caden and the leader battling, and decided to sit down.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura Glory had gone back to his hometown of Flamvius to check on his brother. He had decided to look for him within the volcano with Empoleon. "Alright, buddy. Let's go find him." Zura looked around at the barren volcano. "Well, this is where he usually is... We should wait a while. He'll come here eventually." Zura said to Empoleon.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura Trancella was still searching Terramean City, when he came across a Gym. He felt an urge rise up inside of him, compelling him to go inside. He did, found his way through the maze, and came across two trainers battling, and one sitting down. Zura decided to sit near the other trainer. He walked over, sat down and watched the battle progress.

-THEN-

Atrus looked over at Trancella. "That guy seems a little suspicious, with that uniform, but he doesn't seem to have any bad intent. He seems complacent just watching the battle. Hm... I'll keep an eye on him..." Atrus thought.

[Zextra]

The smoke from the Nebula Formation Focus Blasts had not cleared yet, but Caden didn't waste any time. "Now, Electabuzz, Ice Urchin, let's go!" Caden called. "First, create a circle on the ground using Ice Punch!" Electabuzz swiftly speeded around the arena, firing of Ice Punches in a circle. "Now, use Psychic to construct Ice Spears!" Caden continued as Electabuzz's eyes glowed blue. The ice rose from the ground and formed into hundreds of sharp icicles. "Now, form them into a twister and speed it towards Dugtrio" Caden commanded. The ice twister shot right into Dugtrio, who was impaled by countless ice spikes, now resembling a crystal white sea urchin.

[Zextra]

After Rectus finished his business with the Draconius members, he went back to his office and put his finger on his wristwatch. A fingerprint appeared, and an electronic voice sounded: "Corey - Codename Rectus: Retina Scan..." Rectus placed the watch in front of his eye as the watch scanned it. "Access confirmed. Elite 4 Computer Mainframe assembled". The watch, which previously showed the time, now projected a holographic screen with touch-interactions. Rectus pressed a button shaped like a FIRE type crest. "Zura, come in...Meet me by Evraflow HQ...it's important..." he said, as the voice message was transmitted to Zura. Rectus then proceeded to stand up and move himself to the window of the skyscraper as he awaited Zura's arrival.

[Dementuo]

Zura looked down at the watch he had recieved when he joined the Elite Four. "Evraflow HQ..." Zura sighed. "Sorry, Empoleon, but we have to go. I guess I'll talk to Shubura later." Zura and Empoleon walked out of the Volcano, and went to the coast, by the Barren Colloseum. They saw the Draconius HQ. "Someday, Trancella... I'll beat you again. But until that day comes, just keep on living. I don't want to to go away just yet... No, not yet..." Zura pulled out two Pokéballs. "Alright, Empoleon, Return! Now, Go Charizard!" Zura returned Empoleon, and brought out Charizard. "I remember that day, Trancella. When we both finished the Kanto Region League. Both our Charizards grew that day. As well as our friendship. Then we faced off, and you changed... Enough about the past. I have to keep moving... Alright Charizard, I need you to fly me to Evraflow." Zura hopped on Charizard, who gave a friendly growl, and then flew off.

-A LITTLE WHILE LATER-

Zura arrived at the Evraflow building, and walked up to the Conference Room door, where all the meetings were held. He approached the door. A computerized voice said "BEGGINING SCAN... SCAN COMPLETE. IDENTIFIED AS ZURA GLORY. RETINNA SCAN INITIATED... RETINNA SCAN COMPLETE. ACCESS TO CONFERENCE ROOM GRANTED." Zura walked into the Conference room. "Hello? Rectus?"

[Zextra]

Rectus sat at the edge of the conference table. "Thanks for coming..." he looked at Zura. "Team Nebulus and Team Draconius are all on the move right now. Though we've figured out the Draconius Leader, the Nebulus Leader still remains shrouded in mystery" he explained. "However, it is crucial that we find out what they're doing. Vaten and Lucas seem to have been attacked by Draconius and Nebulus members earlier. Then, I heard Vaten saying that his Kingdra and Lucas' Metagross had perfect type advantages against Groudon and Dialga. However, this may not be the case. I do not believe that they are merely stealing Pokemon to fight the Legendaries with. Plus, though Kingdra may be strong against Groudon, Team Nebulus has plenty Water-types of their own. In addition, I do not understand why they need Metagross, who fares poorly against Groudon, and will barely have effect on the other three...." Rectus looked at Zura. "Also, you'll want to keep this with you" he tossed Zura a Poke Ball containing Porygon Z. "Porygon Z is able to intercept circuits and store data, so it may come into use" Rectus explained. "Now, if you would like, can you tell me your story?" he asked.

[Dementuo]

Zura Glory looked at Rectus. "My story... Alright. I'll start from the beggining."

-CYGRUS CHRONICHLES: CHAPTER 1-

Zura sat down. "It first started when I went to Kanto. I was nearly 14, about my brother's age, and I had encountered a young trainer named Zura, like me. We were best friends, going through Gym Battles, training together... Eventually, we came to the last Gym, and we battled the leader, and we both won. We had both chosen Charmander as our starting Pokémon, though that day, both of ours evolved into Charmelions. We had finally finished the Kanto Gyms, and we were going to move along to the Elite Four. When we arrived there, we both saw the shadow of a mysterious Pokémon that neither us nor our Pokédex' could identify. We had decided to move ahead regardless, but we swore to return for that Pokémon one day. Just a chance to see the real thing instead of just a shadow of it was our dream at that point. We entered the final stretch of the Kanto League. We battled through the ranks, climbing to the top four. After defeating the Elite Four, we were seperates into groups of
two, facing different opponents. Of course, we both won, but then we went up against eachother. We battled like we never had before, and I ended up winning. Durig the battle, both of our Charmelions had evolved into Charizards, but mine won for some reason. After that, everything changed. Trancella became more
depressed after losing to me. He started drifting away, avoiding me almost. Until the day I found him out on Seafoam Island. He told me that he had gotten past his loss, and had just been depressed. I can't blame him. He worked so hard, and lost tome. I'm sure he hated me for a while, but he got over it. So, our lives returned to a somewhat normal. Eventually, I told him about the Cygrus Region, and we both went to train there. Trancella wanted to search for Pokémon like the one we had seen back in Kanto, and I finally entered in the Cygrus League. We ended up going our seperate ways, Trancella going on to become the leader of Team Draconius, and me becoming part of the Elite Four. Ever since then, he has sworn vengance on me for the defeat at Kanto, and hasn't stopped trying to face me. He's gotten so tangled up in his searches though, I'm surprised he hasn't been absorbed by them yet. Hopefully he never will..." Zura got up again.

"...And that's my story." Zura said.

[Zextra]

"I see..." Rectus said. "Alright, thanks for your time. However, do you know why Draconius was attacking those two kids?" Rectus asked. "Also, if it interests you, the two grunts are in the basement. Not the 'normal' basement, but Basement Floor Negative B26.23." Rectus said. "Anyways, keep your wristwatch on, and I will contact you if I'm on to something. Also, keep the emergency text function on...I may not be able to speak later..." Rectus continued. "In that case..." he took out a Poke Ball. "Salamence, please fly me to Barren Colosseum" Rectus said as Salamence emerged from the Poke Ball. "Zura, contact me if you find anything, and here" Rectus threw Zura a device. "That device will allow you to look into each trainer who currently has a Pokedex, as it acts as a linker of Pokedex and trainer data" Rectus explained. "Good luck" he said as he flew off to investigate.

-MEANWHILE-

"Now, Trapinch, use Sandstorm" Kier declared as a sand twister appeared and enveloped the entire field. "Now, use Sand Tomb!" Trapinch let loose a brown orb, which transformed into a huge mass of sand, which enveloped Leafeon. "Now, make sure it doesn't escape! Earth Power!" Kier commanded as several giant fissures formed on the ground, spreading throughout the battlefield.

[Dementuo]

Zura took both the Porygon Z and the Dex Linker. "Thanks for listenig, thanks for these, and I will find something soon. I'm quick to work with those guys." Zura said. Zura walked out of the Conference Room, and over to the Elevator. "Alright, let's go see those grunts..." The computerized voice spoke again. "PLEASE ENTER A FLOOR NUMBER." Zura walked into the elevator, and looked at the touch-screen that stood where buttons would usually go on a normal elevator. Zura took out the Porygon Z Pokéball, and sent it Porygon Z. "Porygon, I need you to access the data circutboard for me. Make sure that this elevator goes down to-B.26.23. Okay?" The Pokémon accessed the terminal in the elevator, and it started to move downwards. "Thanks. Now, Return." Zura recalled Porygon. The elevator arrived at the basement floor, and the two grunts were sitting there, tied to chairs. "Hello. I take it you remember this voice." Zura said to the grunts.

-MEANWHILE-

"Alright, Leafeon, avoid the sand!" Leafeon jumped away from the orb. "Now, Leafeon! Use the energy you've been storing up! Go, Solar Beam!" Leafeon let loose a massive Solar Beam, which nearly enveloped half the field. It was movig straight at Trapinch. "This guy's pretty good on his feet, using Sandstorm to block the light from my Sunny Day-Iron Tail blinding combo. But still, using the power from that Sunny Day, Leafeon was able to absorb the excess sunlight, and store it up to power a huge Solar Beam." Shibi thought.

[Zextra]

"Trapinch, use Dig!" Trapinch avoided the full impact of the attack, but felt the recoil of the Solarbeam hitting the ground. "Now! Combine Quick Attack and Faint Attack!" Kier declared as Trapinch popped out of the ground. Trapinch jumped up at Leafeon, leaving a string of light behind it. "Now, the Faint Attack strikes!" Trapinch seemed to be charging head on, but in a split second, appeared behind Leafeon and slammed its huge head into Leafeon's slender body. "Now, as it's falling, shoot Mud Shots at it!" Trapinch fired off a massive number of thick, black goo, barraging upon Leafeon.

-MEANWHILE-

"Sorry for contacting you so soon, but do you know where Trancella could be? Obviously, he no longer holds a Pokedex, as the Poke-Trainer Link isn't responding..." Rectus transmitted through the watch to Zura.

[Dementuo]

Shibi watched as Trapinch dug underneath the ground, and appeared behind Leafeon. "Leafeon! Move your Solar Beam up into the sky!" Shibi said. Leafeon did so, aiming the beam of light directly at the now overhead sun. Leafeon then took the full force of Trapinch's attacks, causing Leafeon to faint. "You did your best, and now the field is set. Return." Shibi said, as he returned Leafeon. "Alright, now for my next Pokémon, Grovyle!" Shibi launched another Pokéball, sendin out Grovyle. "Alright Grovyle, just like we practiced! Use Sunny Day, then Leaf Blade!" Grovyle disappated the sandstorm, allowing the intense sunlight to flood the open-roofed arena. Grovyle's leaves then started glowing green. "Now, use Razor Leaf!" Grovyle flung the glowing leaves Whig were replaced as soon as they left Grovyle's body by new leaves. The boomerang leaves followed Trapinch around, still going strong, and givig no signs of stopping.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura had transmitted a message to Rectus. "If he's not in his building, then check Barren Colloseum. If he's not there either, then... Check where I was last. Not Flamvius Town, but Terramean City. Knowing him, he'll be looking for ke, and anyone tied to me. Be careful." Zura transmitted. Zura then turned to the first grunt. "Gum?" Zura asked, as he pulled out a pack of gum. "No? Fine. Have it your way." Zura said, as he started chewing on a piece. The grunt then spoke. "Who are you? Police? F.B.I.?"
"F.B. What? No. Let's see... You can just call me 'Uncle Sam' alright?"
"Do I get my phone call, uncle?"
"You get whatever you want, just as soon as I get what I want."
"What do you want?"
"I want to get to know you guys better. What do you do? Where do you go? Think of me as a personal journal. Tell me 'a day in the life of a Draconius Grunt'."
"I don't have a schedule."
Zura sighed. "Alright. I'll give you some time to think about your options here. So, you can wear one of those stylish 'Thinking Bags' that your friend has on." Zura put a bag over the first grunt's head, only blocking his eyesight. Zura then turned on a stereo system, which blared loud music. "And here's some thinking music!" Zura shouted. Zura got into the elevator, and went back up. Coincidentally, the last floor only members of the Elite Foir had access to was the floor Zura could no longer here the music. "Alright. Leave 'em to stew in there for a couple of hours, and they should be softened up a bit." Zura thought.

[Zextra]

"I watched the other battle earlier. Now, I'm going to counter this with the same move. Protect!" Kier exclaimed, as Trapinch put up a barrier. "Unfortunately, Protect isn't the type of move that I'm able to use often..." Kier thought as Trapinch landed. "Now, Sandstorm again!" Kier ordered as another Sandstorm brewed, blocking out the sun. "Now, Trapinch! Use Toxic!" Trapinch, who was outside the Sandstorm, flashed for a moment and sent purple blobs into the Sandstorm, turning the Sandstorm Purple. "And now, due to Sandstorm, any non-Rock, Ground, and Steel Types will get buffeted by the poisonous sand!" Kier shouted. He could tell Trapinch was getting weaker, but he had to hang in...

-MEANWHILE-

"I'll look for Trancella later" Rectus thought. He stopped at Barren Colosseum, where he saw a battle between a trainer with a Poliwrath and a trainer with a Dusclops. He decided to leave them be. "Salamence, everything seems to be normal. Dialga still seems to be sealed pretty tightly, so I don't have to worry too much here..." Rectus thought. He jumped back on Salamence and rode of to Flamvius Town...

Shibi watched the clash of the weather. "This isn't going on long enough... I need more time to finish that attack..." Shibi thought. "Alright Grovyle, do it again! Boomerage Leaf!" Grovyle shot out another set of Boomerang leaf blades that flew around, attempting to locate Trapinch. "Alright, let's see here. Grovyle can do that twice more at the most, so after this, I've got only one shot left before I have to use them on [i]that[/i]... But still, with that Arena trap in play, I can't recall Grovyle, which means that he has to go through this until the end... Unless I can take out the second Pokémon in one shot, at which point I'll be able to revive Grovyle completely, then I'll definitley win this... Hm..." Shibi thought.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura Glory left the Elite Four building, and went through Victory Road until he came to a little forested spot. "I remember I always liked coming here... After I joined the Elite Four, I started coming here more and more often... Those were some good times..." Zura thought. He lay down on the grass, and watched the clouds pass by.
