Stadium B, Evraflow Conference Prelims

Caullen was very excited. Not only did he a good rest, but he was feeling Confident about this Match. As he walked in, The audience was indeed, loud and very excited that he came in to veiw. Gathering his pokeballs in one swoop, he said quietly,"Lets show what our Training has brought." He could see his opponent and was shocked to find out that it was Mariko, a trainer that he faced while in Hoenn.

"Well, well, well. This is quite the Reunion." said Mariko, who was twirling a pokeball in one hand. "Lets see if this region is any better for you as it was me."

"Same Here." Caullen acknowledged. The Ref came and started explaining the rules. When he finished, he stated,"Alright, lets begin the Match!!" On the Scoreboard, Caullen VS Mariko was showing, with their picture next to each name. Caullen was already feeling for his Pokeball when Mariko threw out one, exclaiming," Go Luxray!" Caullen responded with a pokeball, "Well then, Tyranitar! Let us show them true power!"

Mariko began with making commands to have Luxray use Double Team, which caused Doubles of the Luxray to appear everywhere. Caullen smiled, Then order, "Shock Earthquake!" Tyranitar stomped on the Ground, causing Earthquake and waves of Electric power caused by Shock Wave, causing a super effective, 100% hit on Luxray and the Doubles. The Luxray was helpless as the Shock Wave prevented him from dodging out the way of the Earthquake.
Luxray fainted and Mariko had his eyes wide open, as if this was a total surprise. Mariko regained composure and said, "Intresting move there. Return Luxray!"
The Ref immediatly put up a flag, pointing to Caullen. The Scoreboard gave Caullen one Pokeball, signalfying it was one to nothing. The crowd roar in excitement.

After Returning Tyranitar, Mariko pulled out another pokeball. "lets see how great you are at speed!, Go Scizor!" His Scizor came out and was floating in midair. Caullen just smiled and sent out his Scizor. Both Scizors saw each other and launch themselves at each other, ignoring any commands from either trainers. It was really a disaster and after 10 minutes, both fainted from the scuffle. Caullen and Mariko looked at the Ref and the Ref just shrugged, and the Scoreboard lit a pokeball under each trainer, score 2-1.

Mariko now was on the ropes, but he had his last hope. "Go Octillery!" The orange pokemon came out, and aimed his head at Caullen. Caullen looked and called forth Gardevoir. "All right, Octillery, fire Octazooka, followed by lock On!" Octillery did but Gardevoir kept teleporting to avoid any permenant targeting. Caullen laughed, "You think this is going to work, Psychic Wave!" Gardevoir held Octillery with psychic as it despertly tried to find its target to fire anything, but couldnt. Then Gardevoir sent out wave after wave of Shock Wave, at Octillery. The poor pokemon fainted after three waves, leaving Mariko to fall on his knees. He lost the Match and he knew it. Getting up, he went go shake Caullen's hand and said "Next time, six on six, no switching." he said with a smile. Caullen agreed, "Your on!"

After Sono woke up, the first he did was pick up his Pokedex and determine the next route."[i]Hum...Next Gym is Immortafreeze City Gym... then I think I will go to the Gloomdelta Gym and flew to Gradnis Village and win the badge, then finish by going to Hauntra that is the closest city of Evraflow with a Gym... I have decided everything[/i]" he thought as he returned the sleeping Altaria and rose the sleeping Vulpix and place it on his head.After this he went to the reccepcionist counter paid the hotel bill, gave the key back and left the Hotel with a great smile on its face."[i]I think I will take the ferry to Immortafreeze and let Aoi-Chan rest a little more...[/i]" he thought while running in the direction of the local ferry.After reaching the ferry, Sono bought his ticket and entered the boat waiting for it set sail.After some minutes the boat started to move and sailed.Now I only need to wait.

---------About an hour after------------

"[i]Finally, the Immortafreeza City[/i]" he thought while leaving the boat and taking his way to the local Gym Leader."[i]This City is going to freeze my head before I reach the local Gym, but I need to proceed![/i]" he thought while taking his Vulpix from his head and starting hug it making his body a little more warm.After some time facing the cold, Sono found the Gym and entered it hoping the Gym was hotter than outside but it was colder."I think, I will die because of this cold" he said and saw the Gym Leader, "Mister, Jack Frost, I want to challenge you to a Gym Battle!" he challenged the Gym that introduce himself as Virgil and threw his first Pokeball revealing a Delibird from it."So, I think I will finish you with some fire!" he said while the letting the awaked Vulpix out of his arms due to the hug he was giving on it."Yuko-Chan, let's start with style, use Will-O-Blast Combo!"

--------Some minutes after--------------

Virgil threw his last Pokeball revealing a Abomasnow, the little Vulpix was already injured by the previous battle and Sono decided to return she to her Pokeball, "Return and rest a little, Yuko-Chan" he showed a kind of dusty Pokeball and return the fox to it."I will burn you down with my next, Pokemon! Come out, Aoi-Chan!" Sono then threw his next Pokeball revealing a big blue bird with cotton wings, "Aoi-Chan! Destroy this this with Dragon Outrage Combo!" the Ataria started to rush and hit the Abomasnow and started to attack with its sharp claws, then when it started to become confuse due to the last attack it lauched a green sphere from its mouth that was charged during the last move, it hit the Abomasnow and making it faint at the same time,The leader than offeared his badge, "Thank you for the badge, Mister Jack Frost" he accepted the badge and smiled to the leader as he left the Gym with his Altaria following him."Now go to the local Pokemon Center heal Yuko-Chan and you give me a ride to Gloomdelta City, okay, Aoi-Chan?" he asked as the blue bird nodded.After entering in the Pokemon Center, Sono asked "Nurse Joy, could you please, heal my Pokemons?" to the local Nurse Joy that took his Pokeballs from his Hand and teh Altaria from the counter.After some time the Nurse come back and gave the Pokeballs back to Sono with a smile on her face, "Thank you, Nurse Joy!" Sono thanked and smiled as he left the Pokemon Centre with his Altaria following him, "Aoi-Chan, now let's travel over this woods and find Gloomdelta City and went out of this bone freezing cold!" he said as the blue bird rose him with its long neck and put it on its back rising flight and heading in the direction of the woods.

-----After about half an hour-------------

"Finally we find Gloomdelta City in the middle of this huge wooods" Sono said as he landed with the Humming blue bird, "Thank you for the help Aoi-Chan!" he said as he showed a Pokeball making the bird return to it."Now I need to head to the Gym of this City" he thought while searching for the Gym.After some time Sono found the Gym and entered it, then the Gym Leader appeared and introduced himslef as Lucas and asked if Sono would like to challenge him, "Yes! I want a Challenge!" Sono said as the Gym Leader threw a Pokeball revealing a Alakazam, "Okay I wil beat you and earn your badge! Come out, Kaoru-Chan!" he threw a Pokeball revealing a Gloom from it, "Kaoru-Chan use Petal Powder Combo!"

-------------After some minutes-------------

"This Gymleader is thought he beat Ako-Chan, Hikaru and Kaoru with his Gardevoir and defeated my Aoi-Chan with his Metagross, at least I injured it a little with Sky Attack, but this ends now!" Sono thought while throwing his last Pokeball, "Come out, Yuko-Chan!" he declared as the Pokeball opened and revealed a fox-like Pokemon, "Yuko-Chan finish the work, use Will-O-Blast Combo" Sono ordered and the little fox started to obey by creating some blue orb around its tail and shaking it making the ball gpoes in the direction of the Gym Leader's Metagross, then Yuko-Chan lauched an column of fire that spitted forming a 大 symbol, that hitted the blue ords and increased its density, making a impossible to dodge move hitting te Metagross and making it faint.After this the leader congrated the trainer and offered him the Gym Badge, Sono then accepted it and said "Thank you for the battle!" then Sono left the Gym in the direction of the Pokemon Center as he plut his Vulpix on his head.After entering the Pokemon Center,Sono asked "Could you please heal them, Nurse Joy?" to the Nurse Joy that nooded and took his Pokeballs from his hands and the Vulpix from his head.After some time the Nurse returned and give him back the Pokeballs and the Vulpix with a open smile, "Thank you very much, Nurse Joy!" Sono thanked with a smile and left the Pokemon Center.Then he threw a Pokeball and declared "Let's travel now to Gradnis Village, Aoi-Chan" the Pokeball opened and revealed from it a blue bird Pokemon ready to rise flight, then Sono grabbed its feet and Yuko-Chan sat on its back and it started to rise flight to Gradnis Village.

-------------2 hours later-----------------

"I now need to focus on the Gym Battle" Sono said as they landed on Gradnis Village and returned the tired Altaria to her Pokeball.Then he place Yuko-Chan on his head while going to the local Gym and entering it, "This maze again!" he complained after seeing the forest inside the Gym and started to move throght it.After some minutes, "Finally I find this cursed door!" he said as he ffind the door leading to the Battle Room of the Gym, he entered it and challenged the Gym Leader "Shibi, I challenge you to a Gym Battle!" the leader acepted with a smile and threw his Pokeball revealing a Bulbasaur from it, "Come out Hikaru-Kun!" Sono declared as he threw a Pokeball that revealed a Gloom from it "Hikaru-Kun use Seed Powder Combo!" Sono started to order as the Bulbasaur was charging a Solarbeam.

----------------After some minutes-----------

"I think Ako-Chan is handing the battle pretty good against this Grovyle.I just wished it was a little more slow!" Sono thought while the Grovyle was hidden by its second Substitute."Ako-Chan use Bounce at the Substitute and start to Splash throght the Gym to search for the Grovyle!" Sono ordered as the Skiploom bounced and hit the Substitute making it dissapear a pair of weird leaves were lauched in the direction of Skiploom then."Ako-Chan! Use Sunny Day and..." the leaves just hit when Sono was finishing his order making the Skiploom became more injured, the Skilpoolm then stand up from the attack and started to dance creating a intense heat appears from nothing, "Very Good, Ako-Chan! Shot an Solarbeam from where the leaves come now" Sono added to his last order as the Skiploom started to glow in white and shot a huge beam from the middle of its flower, the beam hit a tree that dropped something from it after some seconds, revealing to be the fainted Grovyle, then Sono noted that the white light in Skiploom's body didn't stopped and Ako-Chan started to change its form "It's evolving" Sono said enjoying the situation, the light then dissapeared and revealed a brand new Jumpluff.Then Shibi offered the Gradnis Badge and Sono said "Thank you for the battle and for the badge!" as he left the Gym with a new badge."[i]Now I need heal my Pokemons at the Pokemon Center and then fly to Hauntra City, hope I do this in time to appear at Evraflow Conference[/i]" he thought while entering the local Pokemon Center."Nice to see you again, Nurse Joy, could you heal my Pokemons one more time?" he asked to the gentle Nurse that nooded and took his Pokeballs from his hands, the Vulpix from his head and the Jumpluff that was on the counter.When the Nurse went to the back room to heal the Pokemons, a weird person asked if I was carrying a Fire Stone and that he could sense a flaming aura from Sono' bag, Sono then showed the Stones that he got in Magma Forest to the weird person, then the strange man offered a change of a Leaf Stone and a Sun Stone in change of two Fire Stones, "[i]I think this is a good trade, I was going to sell one anyway and I think I can get another for me after the Conference[/i]" Sono thought and accepted the deal.The strange man then left the Pokemon Center with Sono's Fire Stones with a happy face.The Nurse returned and gave the Vulpix, the Jumpluff and the Pokeballs back to Sono."Thank you, Nurse Joy, hope to see you again!" Sono thanked with a smile and left the Pokemon Center."Now, our next travel is to Hauntra City, could you give me a ride, Aoi-Chan?" he asked as he threw the Pokemonball that revealed a Altaria from it.The blue bird then rose flight with Vulpix on its back, Sono grabbed on its feet and Jumpluff folloowing them with the same speed.

------------After 3 hours--------------

"Thank you for the ride, Aoi-Chan" Sono thanked the tired Altaria as they landed in Hauntra City, "Return now Ako-Chan and Aoi-Chan, you have worked too much for today" he said while showing two Pokeballs making the two Pokemons return to them.Then he rose Yuko-Chan placed it on his head, looked around and said "This City is incredible, it has no people at all! Oh, I can see the Gym easily now, let's go there Yuko-Chan!", then he started to run until he reach the doors of the Gym.After entering it he found the Gym leader waiting for something."Uhm...Mister Gym Leader, coul I challenge you to a Gym Battle?" Sono asked afraid of disturbing the Gym Leader, the Gym leader then accepeted the challenge and introduced himself as Enzo.Then Enzo threw a Pokeball that revealed a Shedinja from it."If I remember Shedinjas have a kind of ability that he only receives damage from its weakness, I have no choice otherwise to send my Yuko-Chan!" he thought and declared "Go on, Yuko-Chan, but take care!" then the Vulpix jumped from her trainer's head and entered in the Battlefield."Yuko-Chan, finish it with Will-O-Blast Combo!"

-----------After some minutes------------

"My last Pokemon is Aoi-Chan! He defeated all my team except her, I will put all my pride on her this time!" Sono thought while throwing his last Pokeball that revealed a beautiful blue bird Pokemon, "Aoi-Chan use Dragon Aoutrage Combo!" he ordered as a green orb started to form next to Altaria's beak and rushed in the direction of the Gym leader's Dusknoir, then the Dusknoir simply dissapeared when it should be hit and appeared behind the Altaria and lauching a Shadow Ball on Altaria's back, that received some damage and looked back then launched the green orb from its beak in Dusknoir's belly."Aoi-Chan use Roost and prepare an Sky Attack!" Sono added to his last order and Altaria's cotton wings started to glow in white and Altaria started to glare at Dusknoir that started to lauch a lot of Shadow Balls hitting the Altaria and creating some dust around it, then suddenly from the dust appeared Altaria flying at the same speed of an arrow and a Dusknoir falling from the dust and hitting the floor, making it faint.The Gym Leader then returned his Dusknoir and offered the Gym Badge to Sono that accepted and said "Thank you for the battle, Enzo" with a smile and left the Gym with the hurt Altaria following him."Aoi-Chan use Roost and give me a ride to Evraflow City, please" Sono asked as the Altaria landed and its wings started to glow in white and its injuries dissapeared then it rose flight and and Sono grabbed her feet and started to fly higher and take an direction.

----------After 1 hour-------------

"You can return now, Aoi-Chan thanks for everything!" he thanked the blue bird and hugged it before return it to the Pokeball."Now I will drink the remaining Spring Water from Rockius Mountainside that I stocked at my bag" when Sono started to search for the bottle of water he find something shining inside his bag, he picked it up and took a closer look, "It's impossible! It's Graklus Isle Badge, with this one I have 8 badges so I can compete at Evraflow Conference!" he said happily but then remembered "But, I said to Sorano not give me his badge" he started to yell and started to search the reception of Evraflow Conference thinking, "After this league I will beat him up!".After some minutes he find it and asked for the lady behind the counter "I want to participate in the Conference, there are my badges!" he showed them to the lady that took a better look at them and asked what was the trainer's name and where he came from, then he answered "My name is Sono Akizaki from Greenvine Village!" the lady told him that the Opening Ceremony was about to start, "I think I will skip this time it was a very hard day to me today, I will take some rest before my battle but thank you for advicing me!" he said with a gentle voice and headed to the local Pokemon Center, "Nurse Joy, may you heal my Pokemons, please?" the Nurse nooded and took Sono's Pokeballs from his Hand.After some time the Nurse returned and gave the Pokeballs back to Sono, "Thank you, Nurse Joy and one more thing, could you say to me whereis the nearest hotel here, then she pointed to a building out of the Pokemon Center throught the window, "Thank you again" Sono thanked again and left the Pokemon Center in the direction of the big Hotel.After entering it Sono asked "Could I get a room, sir?" to the recepcionist that gave the key of the room Nº32 and wished a good stay, Sono then went to his room and fell asleep on the comfortable bed of it.

When Sono woke up, the first thing he did was went to the reception of Evraflow Conference and saw when and where his battle was going to take place, "Oh! It's in 10 minutes in Stadium C! I must reach there in time!" he said while running in the direction of te Stadium C then Sono's Vulpix popped out of its Pokeball and started to run with it, "You really don't like to remain in your Pokeball, right, Yuko-Chan?" he asked to the running Vulpix that always was with him.After a little run, Sono and Yuko-Chan reached the Stadium C and entered in the door that was wrote "Restrict for Contests", then he appeared at a little room before the Battlefield, "I need to do this fast!" he said quietly as he threw two Pokeball that from it revealed a duo of Glooms, Sono then took the changed stones from his bag and asked "You can chose wich one to take" suddenly the two Glooms touched one of the stones at the same time, the first touched on the orange stone in form of a sun and the second touched on the grren one with a leaf mark on the middle, after this both of them started to glow in white and change their forms the first one became smaller and looked more human with two flowers on its head, it evolved in a Bellossom and the second became bigger and its bulb opened, revealing a big and beatifull flower, it evolved in a Vileplume."So I was right, this stones are used in evolution of Pokemons..." Sono thought while returning the brand new Pokemons to their Pokeballs.Then he entered the Battlefield and saw his opponent a girl about the same age with a long hair looking to Sono with with a smile that was saying 'Finally, you have come, I think I was going to win without this effort', then Sono standed up on the designed place with a Pokeball on it, then the referee started to annouce "Now that we have constestants Nº15 and Nº33 on the right places the battle should start", then he pointed to a spinner that after some spin stopped on a symbol of rock, suddenly the field in front of Sono flipped and revealed a rocky battlefield, "This battle will be a 3 vs 3, the first one to have their 3 Pokemons defeated lose, so now let the battle begins!" he referee announced as the female trainer launched her Pokeball, "Go on, my beloved Sceptile!" Lilly said with a ironic face that was saying something like 'I will win this battle with no effort against this amateus trainer', then Sono get angry and grinned while saying "Yuko-Chan, let's give her a lesson of don't underestimate her opponents!" he said while the little fox advanced to the battlefield, making the battle begins.
"Sceptile, use Razor Leaf and cut into little pieces that fox!" the Sceptile advanced in the direction of Yuko-Chan with the leaves on its arms glowing in green, "Yuko-Chan, use Tail Whip in Sceptiles legs and make it fell on the ground!" Sono ordered with irony as the fox advanced in direction of Sceptile as well and passing its tail under his foot while steeping on the ground making it lost its balance and falling on the ground, "How could you...Sceptile stand up and use Dragon Claw!" Lilly ordered angrily to the fallen Sceptile, "Yuko-Chan prevent him from standind up with use Will-O-Blast Combo" Sono ordered to the little fox that started to create some blue orbs around its tails and shaking them making the ball goes in the direction of the Sceptile slowly, then Yuko-Chan lauched an column of fire that spitted forming a 大 symbol, that hitted the blue ords and increased its density, difficulting any possible dodge and hitting the fallen Sceptile."Can't believe my Sceptile lost to a useless Vulpix!" she said as showed her Pokeball and returned her Sceptile to it, "Now you will suffer my revege, come out Magnezone!" she said angrily and threw her next Pokeball that revealed a Magnezone in a kind of silver color, "Wow! A strange Magnezone! Let's make a burn it into ashes, right, Yuko-Chan?" Sono asked as started to order "Use Phantom Wave Combo with a Extrasensory in the end!" the little foz didin't lost its focus and launched a started to appear lots of blue and purple orbs around its tails, then it shaked them launching them in direction of the Magnezone, "Magnezone, use Charge and Shock Wave!" Lilly ordered as the big magnet Pokemon started to glow in yellow and lauched a ray of electricity, then Vulpix eyes started to glow in blue and Magnezone felt something and started to close its eyes and went down a little while the ray of electricity hit the Vulpix and freed Magnezone from the psychic move but making it unable to dodge from the orbs that Vulpix lauched before making confuse and bruning."Yuko-Chan, let's go you worked hard for it, now is the time to do your best! Use Overheated Flamethrower Combo!" Sono added to his last order as Yuko-Chan lauched a column of fire in the direction of the confuse Magnezone that take the hit, then the column of fire started to became more dense and heat making the Magnezone faint from heat."Oh, no! Magnezone fainted too..." Lilly said with a upset and angry face, "Now, you are going to floor, my strongest Pokemon Drapion, come out!" she said as threw her last Pokeball, "You can return now, Yuko-Chan..." Sono said as the Vulpix went out of the rocky battlefield, "It's your time to shine Aoi-Chan" he said and threw his next Pokeball that revealed a big humming bird."Aoi-Chan start using Attract and coquer his attencion that use Aerial Ace and push him to that large rock!" he ordered as the Altaria started to act cutely, making the Drapion fell in love with it, "Drapion don't get distracted with that cursed Humming bird!" Lilly said angrily while the Drapion only looked to the Altaria that was already in the direction of the Drapion with its Aerial Ace ready to act, the move hit the Drapion and made it slam with the large rock."Okay, if this is how you want to act, okay...Show your love to her by using Sludge Bomb!" the Drapion then opened his mouth and spit some kind of poison from it damaging the Altaria, "Finish it and break that rock, use Sky Roost Combo!" he finished his order while Aoi-Chan's wigs started to glow in white and to recover the injuries made by the poison the the bird started to glare to the lovey-dovey Drapion that one more time became imoble.After some seconds the Altaria rushed from where it was and slamed its head to Drapion long body, that broke the giant rock in two pieces and making the second fell on Drapion's head, making it faint instantly."Oh, no! I have lost" Lilly said with a surprised face, "And the winner of this battle is Contestant Nº33, the crowd started to cheer for the winner as Sono's tought "[i]I need to my special chocolate to commemorate this special ocasion![/i]".

Evraflow Conference Prelims, Day 2

Caullen had a wonderful nights rest after the first day. His Team had led him to a Pretty easy victory, but he knew the trainers the are to come weren't no newborn babes. He headed to the stadium that held his match for the day and was greeted with the roar of the crowd and a new face. "Hi ny name is Asuka, and unfornatly, will be knocking you out today." she said with a smile. "We will see, because my Team dosent lose." Caullen said, and went to where he was supposed to be.

The Ref came out to the middle and explained the rules once again. Then he moved to the side and said, "Alright, BEGIN!"

Both Trainers sent out Pokeballs as the Ref said the word, not know who had what. Asuka sent out Her Typholsion and it roared with excitement and rage that only made the crowd more excited. Caullen's choice was Flygon, which was lucky because of its Advantage. "Alright, Typholsion, lets begin with Flame Wheel while Digging!" The Typholsion began flaming its neck and its body began coating with the hot flame. Caullen just laughed and said, " Alright, Flygon, cause a Sandstorm, then use training method 23!" Training Method 23 was the signal to Dig when the Sandstorm covered and hid Flygon. When Flygon was digging, it was also to create a Massive Earthquake. Like as planned, the Typholsion started Digging, unaware of Caullen's Trap. Flygon went underground and and no one saw it. All anybody could hear was the Earthquake and Typholsion's howl. When the Sandstorm died down, Typholsion was knocked out with Flygon standing over it. Asuka shouted, " NO! how could! Return Typhlosion!"

The Ref just pointed a flag at Caullen, and the Scoreboard put a point up for him.

Caullen just smiled. "You know, I thought thi was going to be challenge. Come on, Lets see some Real action." Asuka, saying nothing, sent out Leafeon. "Go and use Sunny Day!" Light filled the Stadium and and blinded every one including Flygon. "Leafeon use Solar Beam!" A beam of light hit Flygon and Flygon was knockout before it could react. "Well Done Asuka, you got one." Caullen shouted at her. the score now 1-1.

Caullen pulled out Blaziken and siad, " Attack that Leafeon with fire punch!" The Leafeon dodge punch after punch as Asuka couldnt think what to do. Caullen then said, "Speed up with Quick Fire Punch!" Now Blaziken started qoing faster, not allowing Leafeon a chance to dodge, causing Leafeon to be Knocked out."No, not again!" Asuka was really upset and returned Leafeon.

Caullen was shocked that the last Pokemon was a Froslass. seeing a perfect quick finisher, Caullen just said, "Ice training Technique #7: Shin Shoryuken!" Blaziken started with a Quick Attack, then it turned from Quick Attack to a Flare Blitz, straight at the Frolsass! Before the Froslass could react, Blaziken's fist readied Brick Break and ducked low. The, using Sky Uppercut while the Flare Blitz was still on. Blaziken hit the Froslass with blazing speed into the air, looking like a pillar of flame.
Caullen looked at Asuka and Said," thats how you do it." and Froslass fainted as it landed on the ground.

"All our Round 1 matches have been completed! Now, the following 32 contestants will battle each other in the 2nd Round!" With that, the screen on each of the stadiums was filled with the faces of the 32 trainers that made it through Round 1. Now, under each of your Entry Numbers, you will find the arena you go to, so without further ado, let the 2nd round of the Evraflow Conference begin!" Mr. Goodshow called as the crowd roared.

STADIUM C:
1st match: Leonard VS Kenneth
2nd match: Sono VS Samantha

"Now, here in Stadium A, Contestant No.8 and Contestant No. 36 will battle for the chance to move to Round 3! Now, the rules are the same as the last round. This will be a 3 on 3 battle, with the battle ending when one side loses all three Pokemon! Now, let's give it up for our contestants!" the referee shouted.

Caden was standing in the waiting room. He retrieved his cloak from the trainer locker and draped it on, followed by his cap. "Alright, let's go" he thought as he walked out to the entrance of the stadium. As he entered the stadium, lights surrounded him as he walked to the platform. He looked across and saw his opponent, Erik. "Good luck" Caden said.

"And now, the battlefield shall be decided!" the referee called as he gestured to a spinner shown on a screen. The pointer landed on a symbol of a snowflake. "This match will be held on the Ice Field!" The battlefield opened up, revealing an inner layer, which made its way to the surface. The battlefield was completely white and cyan-colored. "Now, then, with that settled, BEGIN THE MATCH!" the referee shouted.

"Alright, Gengar, let's get this done!" Caden shouted as he threw a Pokeball onto the arena. A flash of light revealed a levitating, purple ghost.

"Alakazam! Take this match!" Erik shouted, releasing a yellow being holding two spoons. "Alakazam, hit Gengar with Shadow Ball!" he called. Alakazam charged up a black blob of energy and fired it at Gengar.

"Gengar, counterattack with your own Shadow Ball!" Caden demanded as Gengar also flashed a black blob which he flung at Alakazam. The two attacks collided in midair, causing both to explode. "Now, Gengar, shoot up a Shadow Ball and smack it down with Shadow Punch!" Caden called. Gengar launched another black orb into the air, jumped up, and using a glowing purple aura shaped like a hand, hit the ball down upon Alakazam, its purple aura growing bigger.

"Alakazam, use Double Team now!" Erik commanded as Alakazam split into five. "Now its chance of hitting becomes only 20%!" he explained. However, the orb twisted past the clones and made a direct hit on the real Alakazam, knocking it into the surrounding wall. "But...how? Erik stammered.

"You see, I used a Shadow Punch on that Shadow Ball, allowing it to make contact 100%" Caden explained in response to Erik's shock. Alakazam fell, unable to get up.

"And Alakazam is unable to battle. Gengar wins this round!" the referee called.

"Heh...not bad at all" Erik said as he returned Alakazam. "But, it'll take more than that to beat me" he called as he prepared a second Pokeball. "Rhyperior, let's win this!" he called as a white light revealed a giant stony lizard-like creature. "Rhyperior, use Stone Edge!" he called as Rhyperior released countless shards of stones at Gengar.

"Gengar, wipe those stones out with Energy Ball!" Caden called back as Gengar released a greenish orb at the stones. The orb rushed through the center of the stones, but several of the stones still passed by, slamming into Gengar. However, the green energy orb obliterated the stones in is way, and managed to rush right into Rhyperior. Both Pokemon were knocked back, immobilized by the massive damage inflicted.

"Gengar and Rhyperior are unable to battle! The score stands at 2-1" the referee called.

"I still have my strongest Pokemon left" Erik thought, pulling out another Pokeball. "Alright, Infernape! End this for me!" he called as he chucked the Pokeball onto the stadium, revealing a flaming ape. The heat that Infernape was emitting started to melt the ice around it.

Caden glanced at the malting ice. "Alright! Starmie, it's your turn!" Caden called, throwing a Pokeball high into the air, where a white light stormed out, revealing a purple, mechanical-like, purple-colored starfish emerged. "Alright, Starmie! Use Rapid Spin and circle right above the ground!" Caden called.

"I don't know what he's up to, but Infernape can handle this" he thought. "Now, use Flamethrower, and hit that spinning Starmie!" Erik called, as Infernape released a stream of flames that followed Starmie around.

"Excellent" Caden thought, still looking at the melting ice. As the Flamethrower tried to hit Starmie, the ground was melting more and more, until eventually, all that was left was a giant puddle of water. "Now, Starmie, use Hydro Pump!" Caden called as Starmie launched a jet of water at the Infernape.

"Infernape, sidestep now and use Thunderpunch!" Infernape lunged out of the way of the Hydro Pump and leaped up into the air, a yellow fist closing in on Starmie.

"Starmie, take that attack and use Surf as it hits!" Caden called. Infernape's Thunderpunch made direct contact with Starmie, but not before Starmie engulfed it and Infernape in a giant force of water. Due to the water conducting the electricity, Infernape was also shocked as it was swallowed up by the water. Both Pokemon fell to the ground, heavily injured. "Starmie, don't give up!" Caden called as Starmie's red jewel started glowing. Infernape was trying to get up. "Starmie, hurry up and use Recover now!" Caden called as Starmie replenished its health. However, Infernape was not as fortunate. As it stood up, it collapsed onto the puddle, unconscious.

"Infernape is unable to battle. The victory goes to Contestant No.8!" the referee called as the crowd started roaring again.

Caden walked over to Erik and the two shook hands. Then, Caden walked out of the stadium and to the Pokemon Center.

Atrus looked over at the person who had jus walked off the stadium. "There's something about him... I feel like I know him from somewhere... Hmph. Best not to think about that now." Atrus thought as he walked over to the stadium. "And now for the second round! Thus will be a match between Contestant 42 and Contestant 11!" The MC shouted. Atrus looked over at his opponent. It was a boy who looked pretty young. "Well, this is odd. He looks too young to be here, yet he looks pretty-" Atrus was stopped in mid-sentance by the boy shouting "Alright, let's get this on with! Go, Charizard!" Atrus pulled out a Pokéball of his own and tossed it into the air. "Go, Pikachu!" Both the great winged dragon and the small rodent flashed into the air, and the fight had begun. "Pikachu, let's end this quick. Use Double Team, then use Substitute, and finally use Thunder." Pikachu split into about fifty, glowed a faint green, and then, every clone appeared to send out a blast of electricity. "Of course, only one is real, but with these speeds and with this many clones, not even I can tell." Atrus explained. Stephen seemed frustrated by this. "Gr... Charizard, use Heat Wave!" Charizard let out a blast of hot air, and the clones faded in the winds. However, Charizard was still hit by the attack, and became Parylized. "Pikachu, finish this battle with Discharge." Pikachu let out a massive shockwave which completely engulfed Charizard, fainting it. "Grr... Return! Go, Aggron!" Stephen sent out his second Pokémon. Atrus just smiled a little. "Heh, this is the first time in a while when I had fun battling. Alright Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!" Pikachu rushed at Aggron. "Aggron, use Iron Head!" Aggron rushed at Pikachu. The two collided, Pikachu landed on her feet, and Aggron landed on his. Both had sustained some damage, though Aggron had taken more of a hit. "Pikachu, use Thunder!" Pikachu sent out another big wave of electricity which hit Aggron full on. "Aggron, now
use Payback!" Aggron lunged at Pikachu, hitting her with massive damage. Pikachu fell back, and then became engulfed in Electricity. "Nrgh... Pikachu's spirit is rising... Can't risk it." Atrus thought. "Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!" Pikachu rushed forward another even a second afterwards. It hit Aggron by surprise, and fainted it. "Ugh... Almost got disqualified there..." Atrus called Pikachu over while Stephen was shifting Pokémon. "Pikachu, settle down. You can't just use moves yourself, wait for me next time." Atrus said, sounding a little concerned. "Other than that, you're doing great." Atrus said, concern now replaced by enthusiasm. Atrus looked over, and saw an Altaria. "Altaria... I remember those." Atrus thought. "Pikachu, please end this quickly with a Super-Volt Tackle." Pikachu started glowing yellow. "Altaria, use Sky Attack!" Altaria glowed white. Both Pokémon were charging up their attacks. Both were prepared to end it. "Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!" "Altaria, launh Sky Attack now!" The two white/yellow blurs moved towards eachother at blinding speeds. A huge white light engulfed the field. When it faded, Altaria had fainted, and so had Pikachu. Atrus went over to Pikachu, picked her up, and went back to the lobby. On his way, he heard the MC shouting "I don't know what just happened, but Contestant 42 wins! He will be moving onto the final Preliminary round!" Atrus headed for the Lobby. He only saw the cloacked trainer this time.

As Leonard walked into Stadium C, same with his opponent, Kenneth. A spinner on the wall spun and landed on a symbol for grass. "Now the battle between Contestant N. 12 and Contestant N. 19 shall be on a grassland field. Begin!" yelled the referee.

"Go, Gliscor!" yelled the boy, throwing a Poke-Ball that contained a Gliscor.

"Go, Politoed!" yelled Leonard sending out Politoed. "Use Ice Beam!" yelled Leonard. Politoed released a thin beam of ice from it's mouth. It hit the Gliscor, freezing it. "Now, use Hydro Pump!" The Gliscor was hit by a massive pump and sent flying. When it hit the wall, the ice shattered on it. "Gliscor, X-Scissor!" yelled the other boy. His Gliscor headed toward Politoed. "Bounce!" yelled Leonard, and Politoed did as told. It bounced high up. "Gliscor, use Guillotine!" yelled the other boy. Gliscor opened it's claw wide and the claw glowed until it reached Politoed. It was gripped, therefore fainting. Leonard returned his Politoed. "Go, Tyrannitar, use Stone Edge!" Leonard released his Tyrannitar, which stomped on the ground. Sharp rocks appeared, which it slammed with it's tail, which hit Gliscor. "Use Sandtorm!" yelled N. 19. A big storm whipped up, filling the stadium with sand. "You use Sanstorm, Tyrannitar!" yelled Leonard. Both Pokemon were using Sandstorm, but Tyranitar's overpowered Gliscor's knocking out Gliscor on contact. "Return," said the other boy. "Go, Roserade!" yelled the boy, throwing out a Poke-Ball containing a Roserade. "Petal Dance!" he called, and the Roserade danced, throwing petals at Tyrranitar. It was hit, and severely injured, but it wasn't out. "Use Earthquake!" yelled Leonard. Tyrannitar stomped, creating a massive Earthquake, throwing Roserade off balance and weakening it. "Now, Poison Sting!" yelled Kenneth. Roserade charged, and hit Tyrannitar in the stomach, poisoning it. "Use Stone Edge!" Tyrannitar hit the ground, flinging rocks at Roserade, damaging it. "Finish it, Dark Pulse!" The Tyrannitar thought dark thoughts, which were put into Roserade's mind. This knocked it out. The boy returned it. "Finish N. 12, Espeon! Use Psychic!" An Espeon was released from a Poke-Ball, and then used Psychic abilities to throw Tyrannitar toward the ceiling, then to the floor, knocking it out. Leonard returned his Pokemon. "Go, Gardevoir!" yelled Leonard, releasing Gardevoir. "Magical Leaf!" Leaves came out of Gardevoir, striking the Espeon. "Counter with Psybeam," yelled the other boy. A beam of psi-waves launched toward Gardevoir, hitting it. "Psybeam!" yelled Leonard. A beam of psi-waves hit Espeon, damaging it. "Tackle!" yelled N. 19, and Espeon lead itself toward Gardevoir. "Protect!" yelled Leonard, and a ball-like shield surrounded Gardevoir, and Espeon's Tackle was deflected. "Use Psychic, and don't let go of it!" yelled Leonard. Gardevoir held Espeon with Psychic, throwing to the ceiling, the floor, then the ceiling again. This knocked Espeon out. Both players returned their Pokemon. They each walked out of the stadium. After the battle finished and Sono obtained his place in the 2nd round matches, the referee adviced him of a Ceremony that was going to show the 32 Contestants that advanced to the 2nd round of the preliminaries.Okay, I think this event I must go, right?" he said to the referee as he left the Stadium and headed in the direction of the local that the referee said that was going to have the so-called Ceremony, with Yuko-Chan on its head and Aoi-Chan following him.After he entered the Stadium Mr.Goodshow presented the 2nd rounders and then the first battle of the Stadium started to happen after the other Contestants left it."I need to eat my Chocolate to commemorate the win, right, Aoi-Chan, Yuko-Chan?" he asked to the following Pokemons while nooding to the trainer, "But, first we need to go to the Pokemon Center and heal your wounds, right?" he said as the Pokemons nooeded again.After entering the Pokemon Center, Sono asked "Nurse Joy, could you heal them before my next match?" to the Nurse that happily nooded and took Sono's Pokeballs from his hands, the Vulpix from his head and the Altaria from the counter.After some minutes the Nurse returned and gave Sono's Pokeballs and Pokemons back wishing to him good lucky to the next round, "Thank you, Nurse Joy!" he said with a wide smile on the face.After leaving the Pokemon Center, Sono asked "We are the second match on Stadium C again, I suggest a break to eat chocolate!" he suggested as the Pokemons nooded once again, then Sono picked up big bar of chocolate and threw some more Pokeballs, "Come out and prove the flavor of victory!" then a Vileplume, a Bellossom and a Jumpluff appeared from the threw Pokeballs, then Sono opened the big bar and shared it with his Pokemons as he took another one and started to eat alone.After some minutes, everybody ate the chocolate and was satisfied, "Now, I think the best thing to do is go to Stadium C and wait, right?" he said while returning all the Pokemons to their respective Pokeballs, except for Vulpix that always was on her trainer's head.After this Sono headed to the SAtadium C and entered in the door that was wrote "Restrict for Contests", then he appeared at a little room before the Battlefield, "Okay..." he said while looking to the battlefield seeing his opponent would be a girl, "Hope this one isn't as convinced as the last one!" he thought while walking to the battlefield and seeing a satisfaction face in his opponent, "So, now the battle will be against Contestant Nº33 an Contestant Nº2" the referee that looked a little younger than the last one said while explaining the rules, "This battle will be a 3 vs 3, first one to have their Pokemons defeated lose the battle, so now may the battle begin!" he said then he pointed to a spinner that after some spins stopped at a leaf symbol, meaning the battle would that place at a grassy field, after this both trainer started to threw their Pokeballs, "Come out, please, Crobat!" Samantha said witha respectfull voice as the pokeball revealed a Crobat from it, "Come out you, too, Aoi-Chan!" Sono said with a enthusiasmatic voice as a blue Humming bird appeared from the Pokeball.Then the battle begins!
"Crobat, use Cross Poson and finsh with Shadow Ball!" she ordered with the same tone of voice as the Crobat started to avance in the direction of the blue Humming bird, "Altaria use Dragon Ace Combo and hit the Crobat from behind!" Sono ordered as the humming bird started to dash in the direction of the Crobat.The Crobat then flapped its wing and send an X shaped purple kind of beam, that hit Altaria's afterimage left due to the Aerial Ace while the blue bird hit the Crobat behind making big damage and sneding it to the floor and creating a dust curtain that, suddenly a Shadow Ball appeared from it and hit Altaria, that started to fell some inches but stabilized its flight pretty fast.Then the dust dissapeared and revealed Crobat, "Crobat, use Giga Impact!" Samantha ordered to the Crobat as the Crabt started to rush in the direction of the Altaria, "Aoi-Chan we have no time try to stop it with Outrage!" Sono ordered a little scared with the intensity og the next move, after headring the order, Altaria started to rush in the same speed with its claws ready to pierce Crobat's body.Then the two Pokemons hit each each order and receive equal damage by the other Pokemon move, that was enough to make Crobat faint and make Aoi-Chan huge injured."Return, Crobat, you did a great job!" Samantha said as she returned her Crobat and threw her next Pokeball, "Please, come out, Dusknoir!" she declared as the Pokeball revealed a king of ghostic creature."Return for now, Aoi-Chan I think you will not be able to hand this Pokemon" Sono said while showing a Pokeball making the Altaria return to it, "Come out and let me see your strenght, Kaoru-Chan!" he declared as he threw his next Pokeball that revealed a kind of plant with two red flowers on her head."Dusknoir, use Calm Mind and launch a Shadow Ball!" Samantha ordered as the Dusknoir closed its eye and focused on making a big Shadow Ball, "Kaoru-Chan start to dance the Solar Dance Combo!" Sono ordered to the little Bellossom that started to dance, making a sudden hot approach of the battlefield, then some petals started to rose and spin around the dancing Bellossom, that flowers started to glow in yellow looking like it was charging something, "Shot!" Samatha ordered to the Dusknoir lauch it big-sized Shadow Ball to Bellossom that turned down its head and shot a powerfull Solarbeam in the same direction making the ball explodes and and negating the Solarbem, but then the Petals started to advance fastly in the direction of the defenseless Dusknoir that received the flying petals with some scrathes, "Use Leaf Storm now and mix it with Magical Leaf!" Sono added to his last order then the Bellossom started to dance in a different rythmn creating some sparkling leaves and a lot of other leaves that started to flew fastly in the direction of the Dusknoir that was yet trying to recover itself from the last hit, inflicting huge damage and making it faint."Okay, this battle was too much for you I can understand this..." Samantha said as returned her Dusknoir back to its Pokeball."I will defat at least this Bellossom with my next Pokemon, come out Heracross!" she said as she threw her last Pokeball revealing a kind of beetle creature."Let's see if you can manage to do this!" Sono challenged the girl that started to order "Heracross use Vacumn Wave and come closer to use Close Combat!", then the Heracross made a fast back movement with its arm and launched it in a high speed that created a kind of tornado from it, that went in the direction of Bellossom and threw it up, then the beetle creature came closer and applied a serial kinds of attacks that hurted Bellossom badly."Kaoru-Chan! Use Moonlight!" the Bellossom started then to gather some light from the Sunny Day its summoned but it was too late when Samantha declared her last attack on Bellossom, "Heracross, use Mega Horn!" she ordered as the Heracross started to dash in direction of the healing Bellossom with its horn glowing in white and hit the little flower Pokemon making it faint."Okay, it's alright you made a real great work" Sono said while returning the little flower to its Pokeball, "Now, could you please finish this Yuko-Chan?" Sono asked as the little Vulpix jumped from his head and walked to the battlefield."Yuko-Chan, finish this quikly, use Heat Wave to make this hotter and add to it a Overheat Flamethrower Combo!" Sono ordered to the Vulpix that started to emit a kind of hot wave from its body, making the Heracross senses starting to get messed, then the little fox launched a column of fire from its mouth while Samantha ordered "Use Mega Horn and shard this Flamethrower apart!" then the Heracross' horn started to glow in white again and started to dash to the column of fire and to cut it apart, "Now, finish it, increase the intensity!" Sono finished his order as the column of fire became bigger and bigger and swallowed the Heracross in flames.After the fire dissapeared a fainted Heracross was shown to the crowd that cheered up for the winner while Samantha returned her Heracross and made a glad face to hd at least fun at the battle."The winner of this battle is Contestant Nº33! Congratulations!" said the referee in response of the cheers of the crowd to the Contestant Nº33 that acrossed the battlefield and shaked hands with his now defeated opponent.

Ashmin walked back to Stadium B for the second match. As she neared the stadium she noticed a girl about her age at the other end. "This could be interesting." Muttered Ashmin with a smile, walking forward. The girl did so to, and they stood ready. The referee stepped forward. "This is the first Stadium B match of the second preliminary stage! The winner of this battle will go on to the final preliminary round! As always, this battle is three-on-three. This battle is between Contestant No.34 and Contestant No.51. Now begin!" The girl pulled out a Pokeball. "GO, Kingdra!" A large seahorse Pokemon appeared. "GO, Dugtrio!" Ashmin commanded, and the three-headed mole appeared. "Kingdra, use Hydro Pump!" Commanded the girl, and a large, strong beam of water came shooting towards Dugtrio. "Dugtrio, Dig!" Ashmin commanded, leaping sideways to avoid the water as her Pokemon dug downwards. Ashmin counted to three, then called, "Now Dugtrio, Night Slash!" The earth beneath Kingdra shuddered, and Dugtrio popped out, slashing Kingdra with its Night Slash. Kingdra staggered, but stood firm. "Now Kingdra, Dragon Pulse!" The girl commanded. Kingdra concentrated, then a black ring formed around it, which went shooting in all directions. "Dugtrio, Earthquake!" Called Ashmin desperately. Dugtrio slammed the ground, making it shake and judder. A small wave of rock appeared. "Now Dugtrio, Scratch!" Dugtrio leapt forward, and scratched the wave of rock, which went flying forward, slamming into Kingdra, knocking it out. Dugtrio was slammed with some Dragon Pulse, but it stood firm. "Kingdra is unable to battle, Dugtrio wins this round." Ashmin grinned, but the girl didn't look fazed. "Well, I've only JUST started! C'mon out Porygon Z!" A Pokemon with dizzy looking eyes colored pink and blue stood before her. She looked at Ashmin defiantly. "I'll win the round, count on it! Porygon Z, Hyper Beam!" A powerful beam came shooting towards Dugtrio. "Dugtrio, Tri Attack through that Hyper Beam!" Dugtrio shot three simulations beams of power. One slashed through the Hyper Beam, leaving a small gap for the other two beams to easily shoot through and slam into Porygon Z. But the Hyper Beam still hit Dugtrio, and it staggered. "Stand strong Dugtrio." Called Ashmin. The girl grinned. "Porygon Z, Zap Cannon!” The girl commanded. As Porygon Z sent small balls of electricity in Dugtrio’s direction, Ashmin called out desperately, “Dugtrio, use Night Slash through Zap Cannon!” Dugtrio charged, and slashed Porygon Z as it was rammed with Zap Cannon’s electricity. Porygon Z fainted, with Dugtrio following suit. Both trainers returned their Pokemon. “Nobody wins this round.” Said the referee. The girl smiled. “GO, METAGROSS!” The girl commanded loudly. The iron leg Pokemon appeared. Ashmin thought, then grabbed a Pokeball. “GO, Typhlosion!” Ashmin commanded. The volcano Pokemon appeared. “Now Metagross, Hammer Arm!” The girl commanded. Metagross rushed forward, its arm glowing. “Now Typhlosion, Swift!!” Commanded Ashmin. Typhlosion shot stars at Metagross, which slowed it down as it felt pain. Typhlosion then easily dodged the Hammer Arm. “Now Typhlosion, finish this with Lava Plume!” Typhlosion shot strong flames at Metagross as it ran past, knocking it out cold. “And the winner of the second preliminary finals is Contestant No.34!” The referee said as the girl returned her Metagross. “Good job.” She said, shaking Ashmin’s hand. Ashmin smiled, and the girl walked off. “Looks like I made it to the final prelims. Let’s hope I succeed…”

"Well, after this, the cloak comes off" Caden thought as he walked into the stadium for his final Preliminary match. He looked across the arena and saw a teenage boy, knowing that this was Marcus, his opponent. They walked to their respective platforms.

"Well, let's get our matches started" the referee called out. "3 on 3 battle, let the match begin!" he called, as the scoreboard around the stadium lit up.

"Weavile, let's win this!" Marcus called, throwing the Pokeball onto the rocky battlefield. A black, weasal-like Pokemon appeared.

"Gengar, do your best!" Caden called, throwing his Pokeball, revealing the purple ghost. "Alright, Gengar, let's shoot Focus Blasts!" Caden called.

"Weavile's too fast for that" Marcus commented as the Focus Blasts missed one after another, hitting the afterimage each time. "Now, Weavile! Night Slash!" Weavile's claws extended and glowed pitch-black, and with one swift strike, knocked Gengar into the air, injuring it.

"That thing is really fast" Caden thought. "I'll have to resort to something else" He pointed at Gengar. "Flood the field with Focus Blasts and this time, infuse each one with Shadow Punch!" Caden called. At that moment, Gengar started rapidly firing off energy spheres, while a pair of black hands from nowhere would infuse them with a black aura. The orbs surrounded Weavile and closed in on it, causing the entire field to explode. Gengar fell into the recoil of the huge blast. When the smoke cleared, both Pokemon lay on the floor, defeated. "Nice work, Gengar. Return" he called, holding up a Pokeball as Marcus returned Weavile. "Next up, Dragonite! Let's go!" Caden threw another Pokeball, this time revealing the familiar yellow dragon.

"Well, I'll have to counter that with my Torterra!" Marcus called, throwing a Pokeball which turned out to contain a giant, green tortoise with trees growing out of its back. "Alright, Torterra, use Leaf Twister!" he called. Torterra started spinning around while firing off a continuous Leaf Storm.

"Dragonite, endure that shot and rush in!" Caden called as Dragonite was hit by the countless leaves. "Now, at this moment jet upwards and charge straight down with Dragon Rush!" Suddenly, Dragonite burst upwards, releasing it from the Leaf Storm. It proceeded to charge right onto Torterra's back, and, with the momentum it gained coming down, Torterra was unable to stand.

"Torterra is unable to battle" the referee called as Marcus returned it to its Pokeball.

"Hmmm...well, it's time for my strongest" he called. "Metagross, assume crush!" he called as he threw a third Pokeball, revealing a giant, iron hulk. "Metagross, use Meteor Mash!" Marcus ordered.

"Dragonite, stand your ground and use Dragon Rush!" Caden called as Dragonite charged for Metagross.

"Nope...try again" Marcus laughed. "Combine that with Zen Headbutt!" Metagross' entire body became shrouded in a harsh, blue light as it rushed right through Dragonite, knocking it into the wall. Dragonite fell to its knees, severely injured.

"Dragonite can't take much more of this" Caden thought. "Dragonite, stand strong and let's end it!" Caden exclaimed. "Use Earthquake!" Dragonite slammed its foot down on the battlefield, and an underground wave shot through Metagross, trapping it in between rock and debris.

"As if that would work... Metagross, use Psychic to break free and send those rocks at Dragonite!" The rocks moved aside and pointed themselves at Dragonite, shooting fiercely at it.

"Dragonite, Aqua Tail on the ground!" Caden demanded as Dragonite's tail became blue. It slammed its tail down, propelling it up several stories into the air. "Dragonite, I know you're hurt, but pull through this one attack" Caden thought. "Now, Dragonite! Use Tidal Shock!" Dragonite unleashed a devastating Surf attack from way above, fooding the entire battlefield, with Metagross engulfed in water. Then, it sent a Thunder attack running through the tidal wave, shocking Metagross, defeating it. Dragonite flew down, out of breath. However, it had won.

"Metagross is unable to battle. The winner is Contestant no.8, who will be proceeding to the Victory Tournament and the quarterfinal round!" The referee called as the crowd got excited.

"Thanks, Dragonite. Take a rest" Caden thought as he returned Dragonite. He shook hands with Marcus and left the stadium, going to the competitors' waiting area.

[Dementuo]

Atrus stepped out onto the field. "This will be the last battle before the quarter-finals... But I still haven't seen Caden yet..." Atrus thought. As he stepped out into the arena, he noticed his opponent. He recognized him as a boy who had tried the Johto and Kanto leagues as he had. "Marcus... It definitely has been some time, hasn't it?" Atrus said. Marcus looked up from the six Pokéballs he now held in his hands. "Atrus? Man, it has been a while! How've ya been?" Marcus said enthusiastically. "I've been alright. I'm sorry you didn't make the cut last time, and I'm sorry that you might not this time either." Atrus said. "I'm going to win here, then I'll go back home." Atrus said. "Funny you say that, 'cause those were my thoughts exactly. I'm gonna win here, then try my luck at the Johto and Kanto leagues again!" Atrus chuckled a bit. "Always the same, eh?" "Well, you certantly haven't changed." "Alright, let's get on with this." They agreed. Atrus stepped back to his spot, and Marcus picked out his Pokéballs. Atrus heard the MC again. "This will be the final battle between what seems to be two old rivals, so it looks like we're garanteed a good match! Without further delay, BEGIN THE BATTLE!!!" The MC shouted as the crowd cheered. "Go, Swampert!" Marcus said as the large fish-like amphibian appeared. "Go, Lucario!" Atrus said as his Pokémon appeared. "Lucario, use Force Palm!" Lucario ryushed at Swamped, hands raised in front of him. "Swampert, dodge it and use Muddy Water!" Swampert avoided the attack, then blasted Lucario with dirty water. "Lucario, Aura Sphere!" Lucario generated a strong aura which formed into a sphere, and Lucario fired it at Swampert. "Swampert, use Ice Punch when he gets close!" Swampert took the hit, rushed towards Lucario, and fired a well-timed Ice Punch. Lucario fell back, but then got up. "Lucario, use Close Combat!" Lucario got up close to Swampert, and fired off several successive hits. Swampert fell back, fainted. "Alright, Go, Toxicroak!" The poison beast appeared. "Use Cross Poison!" Toxicroak slashed Lucario down the sides, fainting Lucario this time. "Lucario Return! Go, Lapras!" Lapras appeared, ready to fight. "Use Ice Beam and Surf!" Lapras fired off Surf, and froze it, making huge waves of ice. They hit Toxicroak, and Toxicroak fell back. "Now, use Sheer Cold!" Glaciers formed, and Toxicroak got wedged in between two of them. It fainted on contact. "Toxicroak, return! Go, Tyrannitar!" Tyrannitar appeared as the glaciers melted. "Lapras, use Hydro Pump!" Tyrannitar got hi before it could even move. "Tyrannitar, use Dark Pulse!" Tyrannitar sent out a wave of darkness which hurt Lapras badly. "Use Blizzard!" Lapras spat out thousands of snowflakes, and the field was engulfed by a blizzard. Tyrannitar took numerous hits. "Now freeze it usig Surf!" Lapras fired off many waves, which froze solid around Tyrannitar. "Now, end it with Ice Fang!" Lapras bit Tyrannitar, and it fainted. "Tyrannitar, return. Good job Atrus, you still are the best trainer I know." Marcus said. "Thanks. I'll see you back at home." Atrus walked back into the lobby, where the cloacked trainer was.

Evraflow Conference Prelims, Day 3

Caullen was thinking about about the next trainer when he entered the stadium. Greeted by the roaring audience, Caullen made his way to meet the boy who stood there meditating, and was levitating! "Great, what could be more challenging then a psychic." Smiling Colin responded, " Well Ive heard that you made quite the reputation over many of the Regions and is highly respected. Let us start."

The Ref came in and explained the rules and then walked to the side of the field. "alright, if both sides ready? Then BEGIN!!!" The audience seemed to get louder at the words of the Ref.

Both selected their first pokeball and sent them out, letting their pokemon emerge from the pokeball. "Go, Gardevoir!" both trainers said, and looked at each other in amazement. Both pokemon were really amazing by circling one another, as if to try to size each other up. "Alright, use Shadow ball!" both trainer exclaimed and now Caullen felt that Colin was reading his mind. Balls of energy flew from each pokemon and they collided, making a most wonderful site. The audience that this was more of a show then a battle. Colin made a command, " Use Psycho Shock! " as Caullen called out, " Use Shock Wave!" Waves hit each other and now both Gardevoirs were struggling not to back off thier attacks. "Caullen had to think fast and said, "Teleporting Hyper beam!" Colin just looked confused and said, " Keep up the Psycho Shock!" As Colin"s Gardevoir continued to bound wave after wave, Caullen's Gardevoir Teleported behind the Gardevoir and fire a massive beam of energy at the other Gardevoir. Colin's Gardevoir could not withstand the blast and fainted. " Great job, Gardevoir!" Caullen said, returning the pokemon back into the ball.

Caullen laughed when Colin brought out Umbreon" Really though, go Blaziken!" he said and Blaziken came out in a fury of flames. "Blaziken, Flare Blitz to get up close then use Sky Uppercut to finish it. If you miss, Brave Bird Down onto it." he siad as Colin made making commands to his Umbreon. The Blaziken flashed forward in flames, and the Umbreon didnt couldnt even do what it was commanded. As the Umbreon went up in the air, you could see Colin look disappointed and said nothing.

Now Caullen called out Tyranitar, to make a nice finish to this Battle. As Colin threw out Gengar, It was time to see what Pokemon had it. as the trainers made thier command, you could see Gengar try to Hypnotise Tyranitar to sleep.Tyranitar fired a Dark Pulse at the anooying Pokemon and Gengar was not happy with being shot. It really did atoll on the Gengar and Tyranitar went over and Crunched on the poor pokemon in its weakened state. Gengar fainted and Caullen was excited. for it

Alex's second round opponent in Stadium D was Keary, a girl who only got as far as she did because she had a Gyarados and a Ditto, who snet opponents into fits of rage, making them lose their focus.

"Alright, Ditto, let's go!"
"Di...GRON!"
Ditto immediately transformed into Aggron, but that wasn't a problem. Aggron wasn't battling in this round anyway. He was just setting up.

"'Kay, Stealth Rock!"
Pointed stones rose from the rock field and surrounded Keary.

"Ditto, Flash Cannon!"
"GRON!"
A silver beam shot from Keary's Ditto's mouth, flying straight at Aggron.
Aggron took the hit, and as for the most part unphased.

"Alright, return! Go, Venomoth!"
"Moth!"
"Alright, Toxic Spikes!"
Venomoth began to spin and purple lights shot out of its whirling body, then pierced the ground by Keary's team.
"Good, now use U-Turn!"
Venomoth shot forward like a rocket and blasted into Ditto as it prepared another Flash Cannon. Suddenly, Venomoth was surrounded in green light and shot toward its ball, which it receded into. Alex then sent out Manectric.

Ditto's Flash Cannon finally fired, but did little to Manectric due to his typing.

"Alright, Manectric, Spartect!"
Manectric surrounded itself in a green orb, then electrified this new protective ball, and rammed into Ditto, knocking it out.

"Gyarados, GO!"
"GYA...!"
Gyarados was hit by the floating rocks, causing it significant damage. Then, purple light washed over it as the Toxic Spikes took effect.
((OOC: I know Flying-types are normally immune to Toxic Spikes, but c'mon, it's Gyarados. Since when does he fly?))

"Now, bring down the THUNDER!"
Manectric fired a golden bolt of electricity at the blue serpent, nearly knocking it out.

"Dragon Rage!"
Gyarados fired an orange ball of energy and flame from its gaping maw, which crashed into Manectric. However, it hardly did anything.
Then Gyarados writhed in pain and collapsed from the Poison. It was defeated.

"Alright, time for Rhydon!"
"Rhy...!"
Rhydon was also subjected to the tortures Gyarados was, but to a somewhat lesser extent due to its Rock typing.

"Hidden Power, Manectric!"
Manectric glowed green, then small green lights shot forth from his body and assaulted Rhydon.

"Rhydon, Hyper Beam!"
Rhydon fired an orange beam from its horn and it blasted into Manectric, knocking him out.

"Damn...A critical hit...Alright, Aggron, you're up!"
"Gron!"
"Heh, use Iron Head Smash!"
Aggron was surrounded by a cloak of harsh silvery-blue light and slammed into Rhydon full force, KOing it instantly.

Alex was once again the victor, and he celebrated with Aggron. He ran to the Pokemon Center to heal his pokemon and watched the remaining battles on the TV in the waiting room.[/color]

IC: Nathaniel was getting updates on the whereabouts of the World. With this, he could find his last ingredient. Using the device to heighten the search, he found several traces of it across the Region. Now that his search was possible, He activated the device to open a Gate to one of the locxation, this one being Evraflow. A Vortex open and Nathaniel appeared outside the Evraflow Conference. Smiling that his Goal was in his reach, he went inside, each step closer.

Ashmin took a deep breath to calm her nerves. "This match is the last of the preliminary finals." She muttered slowly. "My opponent is apparently pretty powerful, so I may have problems. But I reckon I can do it." She said detirminedly, walking into the stadium. At the other end, another girl stands, waiting. Ashmin stepped foward, as did the referee. "This battle will be 3-on-3. Now, Battle!" The girl grabbed a Pokeball. "Go, TOGEKISS!" She declared, and the jubilee Pokemon appeared. Ashmin snatched a Pokeball as well. "Go, Typhlosion!" The volacano pokemon appeared. "Ok Togekiss, use ExtremeSpeed!" Commanded the girl, and Togekiss shot foward. "Now, Air Slash!" One of Togekiss's wings glowed, and it went to strike at Typhlosion. "Typhlosion, Quick Attack, then Lava Plume!" Typhlosion too shott foward, then blasted Togekiss with hot lava, slowing it down, before colliding headon with the Togekiss. Both Pokemon leapt back, injured, but not down yet. "Togekiss, Metronome!" Togekiss stood still, thinking, then a large wave of water rushed towards Typhlosion (Togekiss used Surf). "Typhlosion, Rollout!" Typhlosion shot boulders at the wave of water, pushing it back at Togekiss. The water slit into two bits because of the boulders, and both Pokemon were hit by a wave. Typhlosion struggled, then fell to the ground, fainted. The same went for Togekiss. The girl grabbed a Pokeball. "Go, Dragonite!" The dragon pokemon appeared. Ashmin snatched a Pokeball. "Go, Dugtrio!" The three headed mole Pokemon appeared. "Dragonite, Fire Punch!" The girl declared, and Dragonite came foward, it's fist encased in flames. "Dugtrio, Dig!" Dugtrio ducked into it's hole, then popped out just behind Dragonite. "Now, Night Slash!" Dugtrio jumped foward, and scratched Dragonite. Dragonite spun around, it's still burning fist coliding with Dugtrio, sending it flying. It landed heavily. "Hang in there Dugtrio!" Ashmin called desprately, and Dugtrio stood firm. "Dragonite, Agility, then Thunder Punch!" The girl declared. Dragonite increased it's speed, then came shooting foward, Thunder Punch ready to connect. "Dugtrio, Tri Power!" Dugtrio shot three blobs of power at Dragonite, slamming into it's chest. Dragonite still came, and Thunder Punch still connected. Dugtrio didn't go fying, but instead was pushed back a metre. "Stand firm!" Called both trainers. The two Pokemon wobbled. "Dragonite, Roost!" Dragonite curled into a ball to sleep. But before any major healing could be accomplished, Ashmin called, "Dugtrio, Scratch!" Dugtrio shot foward, scratching Dragonite strongly. "Dragonite, Slam that infernal Dugtrio!" Screamed the girl. Dragonite raised an arm, and slammed it down on Dugtrio. It rose shakily to it's feet, then fell back down, fainted. Dugtrio had already fainted on the ground. The two trainers returned them. The girl pulled out a Pokeball. "Go, RED Gyarados!" Ashmin gasped as a red form of the atrocious Pokemon appeared. Trying to calm her thoughts, she grabbed a Pokeball. "GO, Noctowl!" The owl pokemon appeared. "Gyarados, Ice Fang!" Gyarados shot foward, barring it's fangs, which were coated with ice. "Noctowl, Fly!" Noctowl flaped it's wings, and flew above the Pokemon. "Now, Zen Headbutt!" Noctowl tore through the sky, ramming it's head into Gyarados's side. Gyarados, still with ice coated fangs, bit Noctwol's wing, and both Pokemon leapt away from each other. "Gyarados, Hydro Pump!" Gyarados opened it's mouth, and a powerful jet of water came shooting out, heading towards Noctowl. "Noctowl, Peck through the Hydro Pump!" Noctowl's beak glowed slightly, and it flew foward, piercing the water jet, then pecking Gyarados violently. Gyarados shook it off, and again the two Pokemon faced each other. "Gyarados, Dragon Rage!" Gyarados shot a shockwave of dragon energy. "Noctowl, Fly again!" Commanded Ashmin, and Noctowl took flight, flying just out of reach of the shockwave. "Now Noctowl, Air Slash!" Noctowl shot back towards the ground, towards Gyarados. It hit Gyarados full force, and instantly jumped backwards. Gyarados staggered, then toppled. The referee stepped foward. "And the winner of this battle is Contestant No.34! She will be progressing to the quater finals!" Ashmin grinned happily, gasping with relief. Returning Noctowl, she hsook her opponents hand and departed the stadium.

[color="#a0522d"]Alex strolled into the stadium, ready for his next battle against the trainer Ashmin. He had just recieved a Pokemon from his father for this battle in exchange for Venomoth, so he was good to go. While he waited, he looked at the field. It wasn't just one type of field, it was a mix of Rock, Grass, Water, and...And...Dark?
There was an orb of darkness in the center of the field, and seeing into it was impossible. Then Alex noticed the monitors up near the stands. He could see if he strained his eyes, so he might be able to use that to his advantage.
Alex looked toward the stadium entrance, waiting for his opponent to arrive. He tossed Magmortar's ball up and down, itching for the battle to start.[/color]

Ashmin rushed to a PC, and quickly withdrew her Dragonite. Taking a quick breath, she ran back to the stadium. As she drew closer, she could hear loud cries coming from inside, and knew people were ancious for the battle to start. She quickned her pace, and entered the stadium looking puzzled at the strange battle field. "Grass, Rock, Water and Dark? What kind of battle field is this?" She muttered, bewildered. She shuffled to her place, trying to calm down. "[i] OK Ashmin, you've made it, try not to blow it too badly...[/i]" She thought, trying to calm down. "C'mon, start already!" She muttered. "So I can finish the nightmare of fear."

Alex tossed the pokeball, and Magmortar emerged, raising his cannon-like arms.
"Now, get ready."
"Mortar..."
Alex was ready for anything. And he knew what he meant by anything. He was perfectly set up, according to the previous data on Ashmin. And if all went as planned, he wouldn't lose a single pokemon.
"Magmortar, as soon as that pokemon comes out, use Psychic on it. I don't care what it is, just use Psychic."
"Mag..."
Alex was bracing himself. He had big ambitions, and they were going to carry him through.[/color]

Ashmin caught the word "Psychic" and bit her lip. "[i] Crap![/i]" She thought. "[i]I'll just continue on with this. I can't stop Psychic, but I can at least attempt an attack later on.[/i]" She snagged a Pokeball from her pocket. "Don't let me down, old friend." She whispered. "GO, TYPHLOSION!" The Pokeball shot a red light, and where at hit the ground a shape emerged. The light disspersed, revealing Typhlosion, who looked eager and ready. "[i]Typhlosion, don't let me down.[/i]" Ashmin thought.

[color="#a0522d"]Magmortar glowed pink as a blue light enveloped Typhlosion.
"Good, now, toss him in thewater!"
"Mor...TAR!"
Magmortar waved its arms and Typhlosion flew into the lake near the orb of darkness.
"Good. Now, use Thunderbolt on it!"
"Mor...TAR!"
Magmortar now shot two beams of electricity toward the lake. Typhlosion was going to survive, but thi would damage it enough to make Eruption nearly useless against anyone.
"Sorry about this, I just really want to win!"
Alex began to laugh, then looked at Ashmin. "Hey, you're not mad, are you?"[/color]

Ashmin gasped as Typhlosion was thrown into the lake. "Hang in there Typhlosion!" She called. She turned to Alex and shok her head. "No, I'm not mad. It's understandable that you'd want to win so much." She turned back to the lake, and watched as Typhlosion slowly clambered out. "[i] Damn, Eruption would almost be worthless, amongst other things....Wait, there's stiil Gyro Ball and the other normal moves. [/i]" OK Typhlosion, Gyro Ball!" Typhlosion shook it's self off, then began to spin, until it was a bal of dark blue and fire. It span foward towards Magmotar. "Now, Flamethrower!" As Typhlosion spun, it shot flames all around. "[i] I hope this works.[/i]"

Magmortar braced itself and felt the gyroscopic effect of the Gyro Ball, but it hardly noticed the flames.
"Alright Magmortar, that's enough for now. Go, Aggron! Use Roar!"
Aggron shot forth from its ball as Magmortar retreated into its own. Then, Aggron let loose a Roar of epic proportions, attempting to force Typhlosion to retreat.
It didn't matter what was sent out, he just knew he wasn't going to have Aggron deal with that beast.
"Now, when the next one comes out, You need to be prepared for it, no matter what it is. So stand your ground, and don't do anything until the next one is out."
Aggron nodded and stomped, driving its feet into the ground for support and stability.
Aggron was ready for anything, or so it thought...[/color]

Typhlosion, because of Roar, was pushed reluctantly back into it's Pokeball. "Damn." Ashmin muttered. She snatched a Pokeball from her belt. "GO, DUGTRIO!" The red light emmited from the ball again, and once it dispersed revealed a three headed Mole. "Ok, Dugtrio, Earthquake!" Dugtrio rammed the ground, making it shake and judder. "Now Dugtrio, Scratch!" Dugtrio then leapt foward, hardly affected by it's Earthquake. It was ready to ram Aggron. "[i] Don't let me down Dugtrio! You're super effective for both Aggron's types, you can do it![/i]" Ashmin thought as Dugtrio loomed closer.
