Pokemon Paramount Ventures! The New Cygrus Region! [IC/Accepting via OOC]

"Grovyle, use Leaf Storm, now!" As Grovyle approached Flaffy, it was surrouned by razor sharp leaves. The leaves spun around Grovyle at incredible speeds, and shot straight at Flaffy. "Now Grovyle, use Leaf Blade once more, but use your specialty!" Grovyle's leaves glowed green once more, but instead of rushing at Flaffy, Grovyle threw them like boomerangs.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura Trancella pulled out the water-manipulation device. "Yes... That is alright. You may have this back, and you are dismissed for now." Zura handed Regulus the device. "What a cruel world we live in... But, that is why we are here." Zura said firmly.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura Glory looked around. "Damn... They just did something..." Zura turned to Dante. "You just felt that shockwave, yes? Alright, Let's hurry. We have to get to Nathaniel." Zura said.

-MEANWHILE-

Atrus had finished his training. He was once again staring out into the sea. "I've come a long way... Perhaps, once I finish the Conference, I'll go and try to find Articuno again... He'll probably still be at Seafoam Island, like he usually is..." Atrus thought. "Of course, that would mean leaving Cygrus behind... Still, Seafoam Island is my home, and I have to go back and take care of it." Atrus continued to think.

-MEANWHILE-

"Umbreon, use Substitute, then use Shadow Claw once more! But this time, put in a Shockwave of your own!" Umbreon was replaced by a doll, and Umbreon reappeared behind Electivire, preparing an electrified Shadow Claw. "Strike, now!"

Bored out of his mind Blake decided to take a walk in the woods when suddently A TURTWIG ATTACKED! tur tur kaboom and out came some seeds? BLAMMO! "[b]Holy S***![/b] Seed bombs!" ALRIGHT SOME ACTION! come on out! Czar! "BA! BAGON!" "ok Czar! use Fire Fang!" Flames immediately erupted spontaneously from Czar's mouth and within the blink of an eye Czar Bit the Turtwig. "Turtwig!" "ok health down! time for a pokeball!(god I sound like dawn...) "tur!" "huh? What the absorb!?" "Ba! BA!" "don't worry bagon! grrr use dragon rush!" "Tur?!" I saw the look on the turtwig's face the sheer look of oh s***. BOOM! and down went the turtwig which now sported those familiar swirly eyes. "Shoot! that was intense! Go Pokeball! [i]man I swear you better stay down this time[/i] Three Trade mark Ball rattles and It was his! "ALRIGHT! I got *pose ash does a turtwig! I'll call you Terry...

"Electivire, strike right into that Shadow Claw with a Shock Cross!" Electivire's arms glowed brightly and became shrouded in a spiral of blue thunder. It struck its attack down at Umbreon's Shadow Claw. The attacks clashed, and Electivire somersaulted backwards. At that moment, a searing pain shot out from Caden's body. "D*mn (OOC: Don't know if it should be censored or not) it... I can't hold my composure on for long at this rate" he thought, gritting his teeth. "Well, that means I have to end it fast" he thought. "Electivire, use Focus Psi Vortex!" Electivire shot off three Focus Blasts in a triangular shape. Then, its eyes glowed blue as the Focus Blasts melded into a giant shining vortex. "Now, enter that vortex with Shock Wave!" he called as Electivire's body started glowing blue. It charged into the giant vortex, which had now become rainbow-colored. Caden smiled, then keeled over in shock, clutching his stomach and arm, before finally collapsing. "Ngh...I can't sustain it...anymore..." he thought as he started to lose consciousness....

Wilas took out his pokedex and scanned Yanma as quickly as possible. "Hmmm, lets see, it knows arieal ace, Toxic, Silver Wind, and phsychic

Itching for a battle Blake approaches a trainer he sees in gradnis village he looked decently strong what with two pokeballs around his waist. Blake immediately tries to greet this trainer and see if he can get a reply or more importantly a battle request. while walking over there however Blake's Cyndaquil pop's out of his pokeball (like psyduck) and Explo jumps on his shoulder. "You always were the freindly type." Blake then resumed his walk.

[Serenity the Candyman]

One of the Grunts near Nathaniel came over and gave him a paper. "Sir we have located another feather near Gradnis Village. We are about 80% sure that it is loacted in the forest that is next to the village. Our satillite that we sent out took this image of it, in one of the spearow nests." The Grunt handed over the image of a map of the forest that was marked with the location. "So you have proved your usefulness today. If I find out that this is a false lead......" Nathaniel didnt need to say more. Turning to his Device, he set the coordinates for the Gradnis Forest.

Meanwhile.....

"I thank you, boss, for the wand back. I do have a little info that involves Nathaniel. If your talking about Nathaniel Fadglor......He should be also dead." He handed over a paper to Zura. "It seems that He and Dr. Lobos died in an accident when they were working on so called "Hedrons" years ago."

[Mr Dr Professor Spaz]

A trainer ran up to Daniel, "I'm going to guess that this is for a battle," he said to the trainer, "my name is Daniel and yes I would like to battle." As he said this he pulled out one of his Poke Balls. "Come out Chimchar, and before you ask, no this is not my first Pokemon. My first Pokemon that I came to Cygrus with was a Vibrava that was bugging me on my way to the ferry from Sekka City back in Isshu. Anyway, I haven't yet had a battle in this region yet have 3 Pokemon, but how about just a simple two-on-two." With that he began awaiting a reply from this unknown trainer.

"Alright! some action! ok Explo! come on out! By the way the name's Blake now! Explo use smokescreen!" "DA QUIL!" at once the battle arena was shrouded with an inky black smoke. "ok now Explo use Leer up in the chimchar's Face!" "DA QUIL!" [i]haha this strategy is perfect It almost always surprises the heck out of pokemon.[/i] "whoops forgot this was double battle Czar come out to! as an apology I'll let you hit Czar here once with all you got better make it count. Czar Brace yourself" "BA BAGON!"

[Mr Dr Professor Spaz]

"Something that simple won't help you when you battle me, and I didn't say that this was a Double Battle, just a Single Battle, two Pokemon each. Chimchar use Dig." The small fire type Pokemon agreed and dug a hole jumping straight into it. " Now come close to the ground and go back under, and repeat it as many times as possible. I know how this strategy works, because I stole the technique from my friend in Isshu. Now how about we bring up the stakes a bit, whoever wins will get to battle the Gym Leader here first, that is provided you haven't already gotten the Badge here." As Daniel was mouthing off, Chimchar was doing as its trainer told it to.

"Ahh... I see how this is fine ill take you up on that bet sorry though you had me a bit confused return Czar!" "Bagon! Ba!" A red laser shot out from the pokebal engulfing Czar in It's Light and with it's disappearance went Czar. "Hmm your strategy is good I didn't really expect It but how about this hmm Explo you use Dig!" "DA?" "just literally dig I didn't ask for the move" "Quil? DA DA QUIL" Explo the preceded to literally Dig with His bare ... nubs let's say. "DAAAAA! DAAA! DAA! QUIL!" Alright! your hands are dirty and there's fresh dirt right there...Hmm... Explo go to that river and make your hands really muddy! I'll bet you're wondering what I'm doing Daniel.

"It doesn't really matter what your planning," said Daniel, "because while I was mouthing off, Chimchar was making a complicated series of tunnels that will connect almost anywhere you use Dig. Chimchar, use Flame Wheel using Flamethrower as you spin around" As Chimchar spun around using Flame Wheel and Flamethrower at the same time, fire went through the tunnels, also breaking the ground at the areas where Chimchar came near the ground creating large pillars of fire. "Now what will you do when an attack is coming from all directions, since your Cyndaquil obviously ended up in part of Chimchar's tunnel system?" asked Daniel.

"I'll do what I was planning!" *wow you actually have me scared! Now Explo that your hands are all muddy... [b]Explo use Mud Slap![/b]" "Da?" "Go on just try" "Quil...[b]CYNADQUIL!!![/b] A red aura immediately surrounded Explo Blake seemingly understanding what It was said, "Forget Leer!." "QUIL!" "Now Explo Pirouette and use mud slap to put out the flaming pillars! Ha! Daniel looks like you forgot one thing: visibilty Explo's Smokescreen is still engulfing the field! Explo while you're mud slapping use Ember as well! "Quil!" Fiery Bullets then came flying out of he Mud/Fire Pirouette.

[Mr Dr Professor Spaz]

"Let me get this straight," said Daniel, "you're shooting at a random pillar of fire, when the pillar that my Pokemon is in is directly to your right. Also, your Smokescreen trick isn't really that hard to fall for because of one little thing, the fire on your Cyndaquil's back is lit up, allowing my Chimchar to easily find your Cyndaquil. Now Chimchar head towards Cyndaquil with your Flame Wheel and use Thunderpunch at the same time." Chimchar did exactly as he was told and the combination glowed so bright, that anyone nearby could see right through the Smokescreen.

[~ Dākunaitomon ~]

"Ha ha ha! Now for my Trump Card! Explo use Flaming Pinball!" Explo then curled up in a ball and activated the Flare Blitz move rolling while curled up Explo the preceded to "Blitz" out right into the Incoming Thunderpunch. "Ha your Chimchar's thunderpunch has no effect on my Flaming Pinball Due to Explo still covered with mud. Plus don't even think of trying to simply punch Explo out of the way do that and see what hapens." Seeing a look in the Chimchar however caused him to Doubt Explo surviving this attack. So Blake begins to Check Explo's stats with his pokedex to devise a backup strategy.

Ashmin snagged a small branch from her hair as she walked further into the maze. "It seems most enviroments dislike me.." She shuddered, then straigtned. Still following her Diglett, she found herself ina small clearing, where the Gym Leader was battling a trainer. Deciding to watch, she sat down on a nearby bench.

Meanwhile....

Kalin shook his head to get the snow out of his hair. "s***!" He looked around. All the buildings looked the same, and he couldn't see ANY tracks through the seemingly endless snow. "Damn, how I'm gonna find my sister's place now?"

[Serenity the Candyman]

Caullen noded his head," Well we are in a grass type Gym, so Nature is going to attack back......" Sitting down next to Ashmin, he asked, "You ready? Because that Grovyle looks tough."

Meanwhile...

A vortex appeared outside of Gradnis Village, and Nathaniel walkout as though this was the norm. He got some odd looks from the people that were watching , but he didnt care. Seeing the Entrance to the forest, he walked in, Glaring at those staring at him.

Ashmin shook her head. "No, not really. Your training will help and all, but I'm still kinda nervous." Ashmin frowned slightly. "[i]Ash, have you lost your mind! You can beat this Shibi guy when you get your chance. C'mon don't forget you DID beat the Elite 4 back in the Johto..[/i] She shook her head slightly, as if to get rid of the nagging voice, then turned back to look at the battle, working out strategies to beat Shibi.

Meanwhile......

RIIIINNNNGG!RIIIIINNGGGGG! "OK OK, I got it!" Kalin grumbled, managing to grab his Pokegear. "Hello? Oh, hey Seara. Yep, I'm in Immortafreeze, where are you?" He sighed at the response. "Seara, I'm not a dummy, I KNOW you're in Immortafreeze. That's why I'm here. By "where are you?" I meant what house or place, you know? You're at the Department Store at the moment? OK, I'll see you there in a moment. Ok, BYE."

"Grovyle is more than prepared for that. Grovyle, use Double Team, and Substitute!" Grovyle split, and the clones became dolls along with the real Grovyle. "There. Now you have to figure out which one is the correct one." Shibi said. "I have to give you credit, though. Your Flaffy has a lot of stamina, if it can get through a Leaf Storm like that. However, defense isn't everything.

-MEANWHILE-

Nathan ran over to Caden. "Are you alright? What happened?" Nathan looked up. "At least we're close to a Pokémon Center..." Nathan felt Caden's pulse. "At least he's still breathing... But what just happened? Was it his burns...?" Nathan thought.

-MEANWHILE-

Atrus held up the small crystal stone he wore around his neck. "...What could this mean...? Is this..." Atrus thought. The stone was now reflecting an image of Caden back a Seafoam island, Articuno and Pikachu at his sides. He still had the stone around his neck, though. "...What could be, maybe? But... How would a rock know such things...?"

-MEANWHILE-

"You're welcome, Regulus." Zura picked up the paper. "So they were researching the Hedrons as well...? Heh... And they still haven't figured them out... But..." Zura looked up at Regulus. "...This is very disturbing. There have been sightings by our own grunts that have reported seeing a man matching Nathaniel's description perfectly. This is indeed a dark matter... You are dismissed, Commander Regulus. You may resume your research, but try not to destroy anything. I would like this region intact." Zura said.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura Glory looked around. "Damn... I can't feel his presence anymore..." Zura found his way out of Gloomy Shades, and called out Charizard. "Hey, I need you to help me scan the emigre region for this guy." Zura held up a picture of Nathaniel he had saved on his Pokédex. Charizard gave a grunt, showig he understood. "Alright, let's go." Zura hopped onto Charizard, and started to scan the region from above.

[Serenity the Candyman]

Nathaniel had the Device scan every part of the woods as he walked, hoping that the feather would appear and he finally move on to next item on his list. After about 10 minutes, The Device had located the feather about 8o meters to meters left of him. Smiling he headed towards his next prize. The Device then sent out image, which Nathaniel knew was a call for him. "This had better be good.....Access Hologram Projector." Immedialty an image of a Grunt appeared. "Sir, Gloomy Shades is now empty of all intruders. Shall we open operation again?" Nathaniel shook his head." No, head back to HQ and get 100 men to these Coordinates. I have moved the HQ base location, but dont tell any of the Commanders....or Maximillion."

[Zextra]

Caden woke up 2 hours later in a bed in a Pokemon Center. He didn't get up or say anything. He looked around and saw Nathan in a chair beside the bed. Caden turned back and closed his eyes. "The league is coming soon...and I'm stuck here" he thought, sadly. "What if... What if I'm unable to participate in the leeague?" he thought shakily as he started to turn towards the
other side so that Nathan wouldn't see his frustration.

"Nice move, but Brenda told me about that one.That is why I taught all my pokemon this move. Flaafy, use Rain Dance.Now, only the Real pokemon will have rain bouncing off of it. Okay Flaafy use thunderbolt! And now, since it is raining, the Thunderbolt can not miss" First, Flaafy figured out which one was the real Grovyle, he fired his Thunderbolt "FLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAFY" a huge Bolt of Lightning flew out of the sky and started flying towards Grovyle.

[Dementuo]

"I must ask you, how could she have possibly known this? This is a newer strategy that I formed only a few days ago. Anyways, Thunderbolt can still miss in rain, and Rain Dance still won't have any effect. Grovyle, use Sunny Day." The many Grovyles glowed orange, and the rain lifted, revealing an intense sunlight. "Now use Solar Beam." The real Grovyle charged up in only a couple of seconds, then fired off a huge beam of sunlight.

Nathan looked over at Caden. "You alright?" Nathan asked. "I have a feeling that I know what you're thinking." Nathan stood up. "What you should worry about..." Nathan opened the blinds to let in some light. "...Is how you're going to get there. In your condition, you shouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon, but that doesn't mean you'll be here forever." Nathan sat back down. "Is there someone you would like me to call? Maybe that other kid from before, when we were battling?" Nathan asked.

-MEANWHILE-

Atrus held up the stone, which had stopped reflecting. "..." Atrus couldn't think of what to say to what he had just been shown. He wasn't sure if it was real, or if it was just an illusion. "..." Atrus heard a strange sound eminating from the small stone. It started to speak an indistinct language that Atrus couldn't understand. The sound then stopped. "...What was that...?" Atrus asked himself. "This is strange... I wonder if Caden is having the same experience as I am..."

[Zextra]

"i'd prefer not" Caden said, "but it's up to you..." he sighed and turned back towards the light. "Nathan, what is my current condition?" he asked sadly. "and I need to get out of here soon, or else my badges would have no meaning..." he thought. Caden looked up at the celing and closed his eyes.

Rectus was sitting in his database room. "I see...so 33 trainers have already won their 8 badges" he thought as he looked at his computer. "Those other trainers better hurry up if they're still planning to compete" he smiled, as he kept searching trainers.
