Darkfire took the hit and was launched into the air than came down to the ground. Darkfire Shakingly got up on his four feet panting. "Darkfire return" Delano said as he put Darkfire back into his pokeball. "Looks like i'm gonna have to use this guy. Possesser Come on out" Delano said as a shuppet came out of the pokeball. "Know we are on an even playing field." Delano said with his shuppet floating in the air and did a roll. "Possesser use Nightshade." Delano said waiting for skamory to get in close to shuppet. "You better not underestimate my shuppet. Not all is what it seems"

Nathaniel Replied to Zura " You siad components, and I thought you were talking a bout a device. Sorry, I am very busy and sometimes get sidetracked." Putting on his disguise, he couldnt recongnize himself."I'm sure I can look at the water. If anything, I can atleast look at it and see what I can do. Sorry, but I didnt catch your name."

Meanwhile...

Caullen shook his head" I'm all set, lets go out and start training. To let you know, This training Method is one I use back when I was in Kanto, So I know it works." walking out the door, he said, "And dont worry about it being weird or anything. It will make sense."

"Ok then." Said Ashmin, following Caullen. "It probably won't be as weird for me as you think, I'm used to having to act in unexpected ways." She grinned sheepishly. "It's just I'm not very good at that!"

Meanwhile....

Kalin panted. It was taking longer than he thought to cross the desert. On his Pokegear, it looked so small. In real life, it was huge. "And the sun is starting to set!" He groaned. "I'll never make it to Gradnis Town by tonight!" He looked at his Pokeballs thoughtfully. Then he grabbed one. "C'mon out Flareon!" The red fox appeared. "Ok Flareon, use Flamethrower in the air!" Flareon did as it was asked, and the area around Kalin and his Pokemon lit up. "Good job Flareon, can you keep doing that so I can see where we are going?" "Flareeeeeon!" "Good. Now, lets keep going!"

"okay here we are." Caullen said as he stepped into a clearing in the middle of the forest. "alright Meganium, Lets Start!" With this, he threw a pokeball out and a giant green pokemon came out, holding its head high in the sky. "this is what I want you to do with diglett. Meganium is going to fire Solar Beam after Solar Beam at Diglett. What I want you and Diglett to do is dodge them without using Dig. If you can dodge 10 straight in succession, We'll made some progress. Alright Meganium, Sunny Day!, then just keep firing Solar Beam until I say so." With this, A ball of light appeared from Meganium's month and fired it into the sky.

"Ok then. Diglett, use Mud Bomb backed up with scratch to stop that Solar Beam in its tracks!" The small mole pokemon appeared, and fired the clod of mud, then scratched it so it gained speed and power. "When you used my Dig-Earthquake combo to your own advantage, I thought I could have done this and made the entire battle go a different way." She told Caullen.

Meanwhile.....

Night had fallen on the desert. Kalin was tired, and sweaty, but luckily, with Flareon by his side, he might be able to make it to Gradnis Town in a short while. "Let's hopeI make it there before morning." moaned Kalin as he continued to pedal. Suddenly, going to visit his sister by this route didn't look all that appealing.

[Dementuo]

"Skarmory, use Extreme Speed." Skarmory suddenly started to move with such amazing speed that it almost looked invisible. "Now Skarmory, follow up with a Steel Wing." Shubura said, and Skarmory's wings started glowing, and Skarmory rushed towards Shuppet with incredible speed.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura looked down at the volcano from his window. "Oh, my name is... Well, we can talk later. I'll be waiting at the Barren Colloseum." Zura Hun up the phone, and went to his desk. He called into one of the many microphones. "Commander Ryo, I will be taking an extended leave of absence. I will be leaving you in charge of this base for the time being, but I expect everything to be the way I left it, unless, of corse, someone attempts to infiltrate. Report to my office immediately." Zura awaited the commander's arrival. "Dannielle should be able to keep watch for me while I'm gone..." Zura thought.

-MEANWHILE-

"Staraptor, use Dragon Claw." Staraptor's talons started glowing a deep blue and red, and Staraptor lunged at Gabite. "Umbreon, use Shadow Ball again, but fire them into the air. Then hit them with Shadow Claw." Umbreon fired off about five Shadow Balls, then struck them with a Shadow Claw. They shred in mid air, and rained down a bunch of blobby, dark shards down onto Riolu.

-MEANWHILE-

Atrus had found a good spot to train, and was now having Riolu train with Lapras, Pikahu, and Ambipom. Each of the Pokémon that Riplu was training with was meat for training a specific attribute. Pikachu for defense, Lapras for speed, and Ambipom for attack. "Ambipom, use Double Hit! Pikachu, use Thunder Bolt! Lapras, use Ice Beam! Riolu, use Force Palm against Double Hit, use Double Team for Thunder Bolt, and use Aura Sphere against the Ice Beam!" First, Riolu blocked the Double Hit, then fired a quick jab into Ambipom who was knocked back by the force of it. Then, Riolu split into ten to avoid the Thunder Bolt, and finally, Riolu fired off a charged Aura Sphere against the Ice Beam, shattering it. "Good job, Riolu! You too, Pikachu, Lapras, Ambipom!" Atrus decided that they had trained enough for now, and returned them. "I've really made progress since I first got here. Maybe I should take on Caden with few of my other Pikachu, Pichu, and Riachus. It would be an interesting battle, but I'm sure it would be fun..." Atrus thought. He looked down at the small crystal rock that he now wore across his neck. "And then there's this strange piece of rock that just appeared out of nowhere..." Atrus started walking again. "I'll think about that later..."

[Zextra]

"Riolu, use Aura Sphere and hit it with Force Palm!" The blue orb was hit with a glowing palm, sending a glowing barrage of blue shards upwards against the blobs of the Shadow Ball. "Gabite, use Draco Meteor and jump into the air!" Gabite shot a molten fireball into the air and hit it with its claw, raining down the fragments on Staraptor. "I can't keep this going" Caden thought with a worried look on his face.

"Finally!" Kalin gasped as he entered Gradnis Town. He fell off his bike and sat on the ground. "Return Flareon." He whispered, returning the completely exhausted fox back to its Pokeball. Kalin leant against a building. "That was not at all like I imagined." Kalin thought about that HORRIBLE journey across the desert. Trapinch sand traps, sand storms, darkness........"Ring Ring! Ring Ring!" Kalin thoughts were broken as he heard a sound. He pulled his Pokegear out of his pocket. "Who would be calling at this hour." Mused Kalin, not recognising the number." He switched it on. "Hello? Who is this?" He listned to the reply. "Seara, how'd you get my Pokegear number!" Kalin fumed. "What'd you mean Mum told you! I never told her my number! I don't even know it myself!" He folded his arms. "NO, Mum ISN'T here. And no, I'm not at the Magma Forest." He sighed. "For god's sake Seara, shut up and I'll tell you. I'm in Gradnis Town. I decided I'd come visit you in Immortafreeze, so I came this way." Kalin smiled. "Yeah, I'll see you soon. Bye!" He turned it off. "Now, to find a hotel."

Nathaneil needed a few items before he made his way t o the shuttle. Walking into the next room, he found the New Commander, Wilas there shouting at him about stopping his plans. How he became a Commander, he thought, I will never know. "Idiot, I'm not a trainer. I'm your superior Commander, Nathaniel. Now whatthe hell are you doing here acting like your high and mighty." Nathaniel walked off, knowing he was getting dumber by the minute interacting with these fools. After finding the items needed to make a good impression, he went towards the shuttle.

Meanwhile...

Caullen nodded "Good job, not to make it difficult. Meganium Rapid fire Solar Beam!" With this Beam after Beam came firing out at Diglett in quick succession. "Think outside the box...You can do it."

Delano grinned "To bad extreme speed can't do any damage to ghost pokemon. Possesser Thunderbolt". Possesser built of eletrical power. When skarmory hit Shuppet with its steel wing Shuppet let out its thunderbolt with the bird still in close range. "its best not to underestimate Possesser he likes to shock things. Now let out a screech attack than thunderbolt" Possesser let out a loud screech than released a thunderbolt at skarmory while the screech made it hard for skarmory to here.

[Dementuo]

"Sorry, but by using Extreme Speed, Skarmory is fasterthan before! All you hit was the after-image!" Skarmory seemed to disappear, and then reappear in the air. "I'll tell you right now that Skarmory is the fastest Pokémon that I hae. Now Skarmory, use Agility, then use Ancient Power!" Skarmory seemed to speed up again, and t started glowing a deep blue. Rocks flew into the air, and then they were sent flying towards Shuppet.

-MEANWHILE-

"Stop." Nathan returned his Pokémon. "You still have room to improve, and your Pokémon look very tired." Nathan walked over to Caden. "Dont worry, you're doing great. All you need is a more simplistic way of fighting. You're relying too much on those combination moves that your Pokémon are growing tired from them. It takes a lot of energy to pull of two moves at once, so you have to try something new. If you keep relying on those same combinations, then your pokémon will become too tired to fight, and you'll lose. If you try using simplistic strategies, then it'll be a little harder to hit, but you'll be able to pull it off many more times." Natahn said. "Understand?"

"Speed is not everything. Possesser Dodge that ancient power than get low the ground" Possesser dodged the ancient using its small body with a little barrel roll ghost style than came down almost on the ground. "Unleash your Thunderbolt" Delano say. Possesser let out an electrical charge all around its body. "Now start twirling around." Possesser started to circle around causing the thunderbolt to follow and shape into a weird pattern. "Lets see how well you fair as a floating battery" Delano laughed as he said that.

"Alright Diglett, use Scratch to spilt that Solar Beam in half!" Diglett did so, and the two halves of the solar beam went flying away, colliding into two trees. "Good Job Diglett!" Smiled Ashmin. "Now prepare for the next beam."

Meanwhile....

Kalin walked out of the hotel, rubbing his eyes. "Yesterday was pure hell." He muttered. Getting a water bottle out of his bag, he splashed his face. OK then, time to head to Greenvine Village!" He pulled his Pokegear out. "So, my route goes through a forest. Lucky me......" He muttered. He grabbed his bike and started to whell it towards the forest. "I could hardly ride through a forest on MY bike. On MUM'S...No way." He sighed. "This should be fun...."

[Zextra]

"Yes, I understand" Caden said as he slowly walked back to the Pokemon Center to heal his Pokemon. "Riolu, Gabite, take a good long rest, because tonight, we'll be doing a long crash course" Caden thought. An hour later, he retrieved his Pokemon from Nurse Joy, as he waited for night to fall. He scanned the two Pokeballs with his Pokedex. "Hmm...Gabite's close to evolving, but Riolu will still take a while" Caden thought.
Later, as night fell upon them, Caden slipped a note into Nathan's room saying goodbye and that he was leaving to train. Caden walked to the coast. "Gabite, Riolu! Come on out!" The two Pokemon emerged from their Pokeballs. "Let's begin. Gabite, Dragon Pulse! Riolu, Aura Sphere!" The two Pokemon launched their orbs at each other, the two attacks clashing. "Riolu, now charge in with Metal Claw, and Gabite, you use Dragon Claw!". The training went on for hours, until eventually, Riolu had perfected its "special technique". Caden smiled, returned them, healed them, and headed off.

Reaching the Barren Colloseum, Nathaniel the shuttle drop him off a mile away to avoid detection from the other group wanting Dr. Lobos. Taking the walking stick in one hand, he set off to find the man that was on the side of the phone.

Meanwhile....

Caullen looked at Ashmin. "great Job with the last attack. I hate to break it to you,but it isnt always that simple. Ralts use psychic to move the Solar Beams out a straight line." With this new command,Ralts came out and The Solar Beams were coming at different angles and turn at the last second, making a simple training excersise much harder. " You still need to dodge 8 more in a row."

"[i]What can I do? Diglett only knows 5 moves, and I'm trying NOT to use Dig for this exercise. Hold on, If I use Earthquake then Flick it up with Scratch it will create a temporary sheild against Solar Beam.[/i]" "Ok then, Diglett use Earthquake!" The mole obeyed, making the ground shake. "Now, use Scratch to make the loose rocks fly around you!" Diglett did so, and the flying rocks created a temporary shield around Diglett. "Good Job." Ashmin beamed. "[i]Suddenly, this became a whole lot harder. I'm lucky that I thought of that Earthquake/Scratch move. Suddenly I dount dodging 10 in a row will happen...[/i]"

Meanwhile......

"Humph, I was right when I said It would take ages to get through here." Kalin muttered, dragging his bike over a tree root. "If it doesn't take me a day, then my bike will have to have been left behind, and my Mum'll KILL me if that happens. I've already lost one bike...." Kalin's thoughts were broken when he heard the sound of battle. Curious, he edged towards the sound, and saw some guy with a Meganium battle some girl with a Diglett. "Easy win." whispered Kalin. "No way Diglett can beat a Meganium." Kalin turned to walk away when something hit him. "[i]Hold on...That girl looks familiar, yet clearly she's not from around here....[/i]" Kalin turned back. He looked at the girl, and it finally hit him. "Wasn't she in the newspaper for beating the Elite 4 in the Johto?" Kalin was surprised. "And yet she's battling with a Diglett. What the..." Kalin turned away again. "She probably isn't who I think she is. What do I care..." Kalin grabbed his bike and walked away.

Caullen saw the fustration on Ashmin head. " Dont think too hard on this. Remember to have open thoughts and let ideas come. sometimes the best move isnt set at all." Hoping these words encouraged her, Caullen watched the scene unfold. This Diglett knows Scratch, Dig, Earthquake, Mud Bomb, and Sucker Punch.....but in this training, he wasnt counting on her to use those moves. Infact he was hoping she would think outside the box.... Once she starts seeing things this way, the impossible becomes improbable and the puzzle in front of her was solvable..... Diglett was a digger, which made this seem harder then it looks.

Caden took a short ferry from Grakus Isle to Rockius Mountainside. When he got there, he headed straight for the mountains to train more. "Riolu and Gabite, go!" Caden shouted, throwing his Pokeballs into an empty, rocky area. "Riolu, let's use Aura Sphere, Gabite, knock it back with Dragon Claw! Now, Riolu, hit it back with metal Claw! Now, Riolu and Gabite, keep knocking that Aura Sphere back and forth! Now, Gabite! Release Dragon Pulse and start knocking that too! Alright, now Hit them at each other!" Caden called, as Gabite and Riolu hit the two attacks at each other. The two attacks hit each other, creating a shower of destructive energy. "Now, Gabite and Riolu, practice your speed! Use Sonic Step!" Riolu glowed white as it combined Quick Attack and Agility. "I know Nathan said not to use combination moves, but if I raise their endurance, it shouldn't be a problem" Caden thought. "Everyone, out! Fire your strongest attacks at each other, and do not use any protective moves. I want you all to dodge physically" Caden told his Pokemon. "I know this will be tough, but once we get this down, your combination attacks will be that much more powerful and effective!" Caden smiled. "Now, let's go!"
A couple of hours later, Caden was lying on the ground with torn clothes from training with his Pokemon, panting. "We did it..." he thought as he closed his eyes. "Now, time for the gym battle" he smiled as he walked to the Pokemon Center. He rested and changed while his Pokemon healed. "It's time" he thought, as he made his way to the Rockius Gym.
Caden finished his battle with the Gym Leader, ending in a victory of 5-2. "I lost two Pokemon in that battle...That's not good enough" Caden thought as he walked out of the gym. I really need to train hard for the next one" he thought, as he boarded another ferry to Immortafreeze City.

"Okay, so all I have to do is run around in this tall grass, and I'll find a pokemon." As Wilas said that, he moved ino the grass and started to run. Then, a wild Pidgey appeared. "Ok, Mareep, first use Defense Curl, then use tackle!" Mareep formed a hard ball around his body and charged. Pidgey, pecking at some seeds on the ground, didn't see the attack coming. BAM! Mareep hit the Pidgey so hard it almost KO'd it. "OK, go Pokeball!" After he threw the Pokeball it clicked and tilted three times. Tick, Tick, Tick, Bing! "Yes! I caught a Pidgey!" Later, after he had healed up the Pidgey, he decided that he could now train them both with their combo attacks. But first, he wnated to teach Pidgey some moves. "OK Pidgey, make the wind around into a extremely powerful wind!" And to Wilas' surprise, Pidgey did it with ease. "Oh, boy, a fast learner, this should be good. Okay Pidgey, use Gust!" Again, the winds rushed around and blew leaves every-where. He had taught Pidgey gust.

Sono was writing the letter he was going to left for his mother when she arrived from her travel to Magma Forest.He wrote on the letter: "I'm going to be out for some time, I will take Vulpix with me so you can relax about this.Also, I will take my father's Pokedex, it's a kind of old, but it still works for me.^^ - Sono".After this he searched in his bedroom's drawner his father old Pokedex and three Pokeballs, "[i]Hummm....Let me see if this continues to works[/i]" he thought, the Pokedex started to work and scanned his Vulpix.After this, he went to the kitchen to prepare his provisions and to take some chocolate."[i]I think now I've set up everything[/i]" he thought with a relaxed face."So, let's start our Legend, Yuko-Chan?", and the Vulpix then answered with a "Vuulllpix", "So let's go!!" he said in a energetic way while placing his Vulpix on his head.After a little walk he remembered "[i]Oh! I'm going to get lost if I don't see my map[/i]", then he opened his Pokedex and the map appeared in the Pokedex's screen."[i]Ok, so our first place to go is Gradnis Village, the place where the first gym is placed.Huhuhu!! I can't wait to be there!![/i]Hahahahaha!!!" Sono started to laught like a crazy after think in his first Gym Battle."[i]Ok, ok, so I need to pass throght Gradnis Forest in order to reach Gradnis Village[/i]" he thought looking at the map on his Pokedex.After 30 minutes of walk, Sono reached the entrance of the forest, just by looking at it he found so many interesting things that made he formulated a list of things to do in his mind with the following items "1)Scan as many Pokemons as possible; 2)Search for the exit and for items; and 3)Capture some cute Pokemons to battle against the Gym Leader", ater some scan of Plant and Insect Pokemons he faced a Hoppip, "Your leaves are so lively and green, I need to catch you now!!" he said with a big smile on his face, "Let's go do this Yuko-Chan", then the Vulpix went down from his head to the floor and started to growl.The Hoppip looked scared to the growling Vulpix and started to flee, "Yuko-Chan don't let it flee!! Use Will-O Wisp!!", then Vulpix rose its tails and mysterious blue flames started to appear around it and were sent in the direction of Hoppip, "Now use Fire Spin!!", Sono's Vulpix then started to spit a fire spiral from its mouth that hitted the blue flames creating a little explosion, burning the Hoppip and leaving Hoppip defenseless on the ground."[i]Now capture it Pokeball[/i]", Sono then throwed one of his Pokeballs, the pokeball shook a little then stopped."Yay, I've catch my first Pokemon!!" he said in a enthusiasmatic way while his Vulpix were raising its left front paw and saying "Vuuullllpix!!" like it was agreeing with him.

Wilas walked down to the beach, the beach always put him at ease. The crashing of the waves, the Winguls looking for food, and the occasional Wailmer, sticking its head out of the water. "Okay, its time to teach Pidgey sand attack, so he can make a sandstorm without needing to learn the move" thought Wilas. " Okay Pidgey kick at the sand so it goes flying every where!" Then, Wilas realized that Pidgey was exhausted and couldn't do it. "Ahhhhhhhh, the catch. So after Pidgey learns a new move, he completely just bums out. "Okay its time to make a shelter. " said Wilas outloud" Mareep, go gather some wood. I'll start finding a good location to set up. Once you have enough wood, sit and wait quitely, or talk to Pidgey for a while" As he set up the seashore, he saw a pier "Thats perfect" He made his way back to the place where Mareep and Pidgey were waiting. H told them both to grab some wood and follow him, picking up all the wood that the y couldn't collect. They made the shelter under there and slept there for the night. The next day he decided before he tried to make some progress he would try to teach pidgey Sand Attack.

"Alright, lets begin, on to Grandis Village. But first, I have to pass through Grandis Forest. When I go through, I'll Only do 2 things: Catch pokemon and find the exit. But before he exited the forest he wanted to catch one grass type pokemon. He planned to send Pidgey up through the forest through the forest to find the exit. He took out one of the maps he stole from his parents. When he looked at it, he realized how far away it was. He had to travel at least 15 miles to get to the edge of the forest. " Well I better start now" he said. As he was walking he saw a trainer with what looked like a Vulpix. "Hey, you wanna battle to help our training?" While Sono was comemorating the capture of a new Pokemon, another trainer appeared behind him and asked if he would accept a battle.Then Sono turned to the trainer and said "Sure, why not? I also need some training for my Vulpix" with a great smile on his face, "But I will only accept it in one condicion, I just want a 1 on 1 battle, your best Pokemon against my Yuko-Chan, what do you think about that?" he added."[i]Ok, my first Pokemon battle against a Trainer, Yuko-Chan is in a very good condicion, so I think I have a chance to win this battle![/i]" he thought while his Vulpix was climbing his leg to reach the top of his head.

Kalin continued his slow trudge. "Damn Bike!" He swore as it got stuck on a root for the upteinth time. Unsticking it, he continued, and came across another battle. This time, though, it hadn't started, but Kalin could tell they were getting ready to do battle. He sighed. "Why is everyone battling today? Seriously, do all these trainers pop up out of nowhere JUST to do battle?" He continued, and finally exited to the Forest, and entered Greenvine Town. He looked at his watch. "Well, that didn't take as long as a thought it would......" He pulled out his Pokegear and checked his course. "Ok, now I've got to get to the Rockius Mountainside, where I catch a ferry to Immortafreeze." He pocketed the Pokegear, and pulled out his two Pokeballs. "C'mon out you two!" Thee fox and slug-like Pokemon appeared. Kalin smiled. "Ok guys, lets get to Rockius Mountainside!"
