" Now use Hydro Pump on the Ground before the Earthquake hits!" Totodile in the mist of jumping, shot a cannon of water at the ground, causing the pokemon to rise in the air. Noticing the hole in the ground where Diglett lest to make the Earthquake, Caullen shouted, "swing on the branches of the tree and use Hydro pump on that hole, and when he finally pops out use , Ice Beam on the Hydro Pump!" Totodile aim it self over the hole and fired the Hydro pump into the hole.

"Glaceon, Hail" Glaceon shot a cyan blast into the air, and hail pellets began to fall. Then, as Aipom attempted to hit Glaceon, the image of it disappeared. "Just an afterimage. Glaceon's Snow Cloak makes its evasiveness rise when there's Hail" Caden explained. "Now, Glaceon, use Blizzard" he declared. "In addition, you can't dodge...In this case, Blizzard will keep going until it hits, thanks to a little 'natural' help" Caden said, as Glaceon unleashed a tsunami of ice. "Thanks to the Hail, it's sure to hit" Caden said. "Now, combine that Ice tsunami with Sand Attack and fire right into it" Caden declared. Glaceon shot sand into the Blizzard Tornado. In addition to hitting Aipom, the sand blinded it.

"Diglett, use Dig to aviod the Hydro Pump!" Diglett ducked into its hole, and sealed the entrance. Ashmin smiled. "There, you can't reach him now." She saw Diglett pop ot of the ground behind the Totodile, and she said, "Now Diglett, use Mud Bomb backed up with Scratch on the Totodile!" She watched and the mud flew at an extreme speed towards Totodile. Ashmin smiled at her opponent. "Hmmn, you know how to avoid a move. But can you avoid this one?" "[i]He seems to know what he's doing, so this battle might switch from medium to hard.[/i]" Ashmin thought.

[DeathSDelano]

Delano smirk "Darkfire use smog to cover yourself than flamethrower" Darkfire released another smog attack than he released a flamethrower at the ground. using the force of the flamethrower Darkfire got above the smog. The flames hit the flammable gas and caused an explosion hitting darkfire with the gust of wind. "Darkfire you can take that lets show them what a fire pokemon can do." Delano said waiting to see what happened the skarmory as Darkfire panted alittle

[Dementuo]

"Aipom, use Swift, then start spinning around!" Aipom unleashed a bunch ofgolded stars, and started spinning, creating a star shield. Aipom was still hit by the attack, but wasn't blinded and took less damage. "Now Aipom, use Brick Break!" Aipom's tail started glowing, and it lunged once again at Glaceon. "Use Agility to raise your speed and increase your potency!" Aipom started moving faster and faster.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura Glory looked at the data files for Caden. "Hm... I missed one there, he has a Gabite... That makes six, so he needs to set up a PC box system soon, otherwise he won't be able to catch any more Pokémon... Though he's already beaten the Sinnoh League..." Zura opened the Data Files for Atrus. "And he seems to be a breeder... His Pikachu knows Volt Tackle, the special bloodline of the Pikachu Family... Hm... Those two are going to be an interesting pair... They might even get Purpose Shards... Eventually..." Zura continued to look through the Data Files of other trainers.

[Zextra]

"Glaceon, counter with Barrier" Caden declared. Glaceon put up a dome-shaped forcefield. "Brick Break only destroys Light Screens and Reflects" Caden said. Glaceon took a light hit, thanks to its massively raised Defense. "Now, use Ice Shard and follow up with Signal Beam!" Glaceon shot a blue sphere which exploded into spikes upon connecting with Aipom. Then, it fired a green and purple blast at the exploded fragments, making them shine in a rainbow, and causing them to redirect at Aipom again. "Now, end with Blizzard!" Glaceon fired another Ice Tsunami at Aipom.

[Dementuo]

Aipom faded away when the Signal Beam hit it. "That was also an after image." Aipom reappeared, and started glowing. "Aipom's evolving!" Aipom grew a little bigger, and grew a second tail. "Alright, Ambipom, use Double Hit and Brick Break, and mix in a Fire Punch!" Ambipom's tails lit up on fire, and started glowing brightly, and Ambipom rushed to Glaceon and launched its two flaming fists at Glaceon.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura Glory was now looking at info for the Gym Leaders. "So Shibi has Grovyle now, heh. I knew that Treecko would evolve some day. And Randy returned. Then Shubura has a Skarmory... They all have new stuff since I went through the leagues..." Zura thought.

[Zextra]

"Hm...we'll see..." Caden said when the ice tsunami from before hit Ambipom from the back. "You see, due to the Hail, Blizzard can't miss, and it'll keep going until it hits" Caden said. "Now, for those attacks...Glaceon! Use Barrier again!" The forcefield grew another layer. "Follow it by using Aqua Tail to counter the Fire Combination!" Glaceon's tail smashed into Ambipom's tails, canceling each others' attacks. "Now, use Blizzard again, but this time, add in Swift!" The blizzard turned into a glowing, rainbow-colored beam, which connected with Ambipom.

[Dementuo]

"Skarmory, use Double Team!" Skarmory split into ten. "Now Skarmory, use Arial Ace!" Skarmory flew up into the air, then dove back down. "This attack can't miss, so I hope you have some other defense!" Shubura said.

-MEANWHILE-

"Ambipom, counter with Protect, and then use Iron Tail!" Ambipom put up a protective barrier, blocking the blizzard-swift, then Ambipom's tails started glowing white. "Now Ambipom, attack!" Ambipom rushed towards Glaceon, tails still glowing.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura was now lookin at Sorano's data. "Hm... This guy is suposed to be as powerful as us, and he'll stop a match whenever he thinks that someone is ready... Interesting... Those two will have one hell of a battle soon..."

[DeathSDelano]

"Who needs Defense. Darkfire use Flamethrower" Delano grinned Darkfire saw the grin than let out a flamethrower at the oncoming bird. [i]good think i have that other pokemon to help out against this pokemon[/i] "No matter how strong your bird is Darkfire's flamethrower can still cause some damage to your bird. And unforunately aerial ace is a frontal attack". [i]lets see if this works out as planned[/i]

[Zextra]

"I see... Glaceon, Aqua Iron Tail!" Caden called. Glaceon's tail glowed as well, but with a stream of water spiraling around it. "Now, charge into that.Iron Tail" Glaceon rammed it's tail into Ambipom's. Both Pokemon were hit, but Glaceon recovered rather quickly. "Don't forget about the two Barrier attacks I used earlier, which increased Glaceon's defense four times" Caden explained. "Now, end it with Blizzard." Another blizzard tsunami brewed and shot at Ambipom, locked on to it's target.

[Dementuo]

"Ambipom, Return." Atrus returned Ambipom, then walked over to Caden. "Look, there's Grakus Isle." Atrus pointed to an island only a few miles away. "We should get ready for our Gym Battles. From what I've heard, he's tough." Atrus said.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura pulled up the Data on Caden and Atrus again. "So they made it to Grakus Isle, and Atrus' Aipom evolved into an Ambipom... Hm..." Zura closed out of the computer, and left the room. "Now then... I need to start thinking about myself, and Team Draconius and Team Nebulus... I have to figure out exactly what they're trying to do..." Zura thought. "I'd better go see Rectus." Zura walked back into the Elite Four Building, looking for Rectus.

[Zextra]

"That's true. Nice battle" Caden said, as he returned Glaceon. Soon, the ferry landed on Grakus Isle. "I'm going straight to the gym" Caden thought, as he walked off the ferry. "I'll see you later, Atrus!" Caden waved. Soon, he arrived at the Grakus Gym. He sighed. "This is it..." Caden said as he entered. "Hello? My name is Caden and I would like to challenge the gym leader" he called politely.

"Caden? Ah...you're Nathan's brother. I've been expecting you" Sorano replied. "Alright, let's do this then" he said as he and Caden made their way to the battlefield. "Rules are simple; This will be a 1 on 1 battle, and it will end when I say stop" Sorano explained. "Alright, let's begin. Cacturne, you're up!" he shouted, throwing a Pokeball. The green cactus Pokemon appeared.

"I can't hold back...not at all against him" Caden thought. He slowly took out a Pokeball, and he sighed. "Milotic, let's go!" he tossed a Pokeball, and the slender, blue and pink serpent emerged. "Milotic, use Cross Tail!" Milotic's tail glowed white and it sent a Toxic stream onto it, creating blotches of pink and purple. "Now, strike!" Milotic lowered its tail down on Cacturne.

"Cacturne, counter with Needle Arm!" Cacturne launched a needle-infested arm against it. The collision caused an explosion. "I see you're a fan of combination attacks...not bad, but it's going to be over soon. Cacturne, Bullet Seed!" Cacturne rapidly fired off glowing bullets.

"Milotic, use Dragonic Shower!" Milotic got its tail up and glowing with an Iron Tail and fired off a Dragon Pulse against its tail. The iron glow of the tail shattered up into the air where it mingled with the blue shards of the Dragon Pulse. "Now, combine it with Hidden Power to accelerate its fall!" Milotic shot multiple red orbs, which further added to the destruction and acceleration of the falling shards. They fell against the Bullet Seeds and passed right through.

"Cacturne, use a Spinning Needle Arm!" Sorano responded. Cacturne fired a Needle Arm, and spun around, deflecting the falling shards.

"Nrgh..." Caden grunted. "Milotic, spring up into the air and attack with Aerial Aqua Iron Tail!" Milotic bounced up into the air with its tail. Then, its tail glowed white, and a stream of water spiraled up its tail. It came down, slamming its tail towards Cacturne.

"Cacturne, deflect it with Spinning Needle Arm!" Cacturne, its arms infested with needles, spun against Milotic, knocking them both back.

"He's the only trainer since Cynthia who's been able to battle on par with Milotic" Caden thought. "Now, Milotic! Shoot Ice Pulse!" Milotic fired off a gigantic Ice Beam, and shot a Dragon Pulse down the middle of the Ice Beam, creating a cage made of ice which ensnared Cacturne.

"Cacturne, use Sucker Punch!" Sorano called. Cacturne vanished and appeared behind Milotic, ready to strike as it lowered its fist.

"Milotic, defend using Counter!" Milotic was injured, but it reflected twice the damage back to Cacturne. Both Pokemon were ready to collapse, but Milotic seemed to be in worse shape.

"Caden, you really do remind me of your brother. Let's end it here" Sorano called. "Congratulations, here is the Stygian Badge" he handed Caden a glint.

"Thank you very much" Caden said, eager to get to the Pokemon Center.

"Thank you for the battle" Sorano called. "Oh, by the way, your brother is here on Grakus right now" he yelled as Caden opened the door.

Caden ran to the Pokemon Center. "Nurse Joy, can you please heal my Pokemon for me?" he asked. "Certainly" Nurse Joy replied. "Thanks" he smiled. Then, Caden went to the cafe area and bought a cup of tea. "Man, Nathan wasn't kidding when he said Sorano was strong" he sighed. "I may have the badge, but I didn't win..." Caden thought as he lowered his head. Eventually, while waiting for his Pokemon, Caden fell asleep in the Pokemon Center waiting room.

[Dementuo]

Atrus walked over to the Gym. He walked in. "Im here to challange the Gym Leader." Atrus called out through the darkness of the gym. "I heard he was strong, so I'll have to use Pikachu... Definitely my strongest, and with the new move I taught to it, it should be pretty powerful..." Atrus thought. "Still, I'll have to be careful. I didn't see Caden before I got here, so I'll have to find him afterwards..."

-MEANWHILE-

Nathan looked around, and saw a trainer walk into the Grakus Gym. "I heard that Caden was here... I should probably find him..." After some searching around, Nathan walked into the Pokémon center. "Well, if he went to the Gym, then he would come here to heal his Pokémon..." Nathan looked around, until he found Caden sleeping at a table. "If you sleep like that, then you'll probably catch a cold. They air condition these rooms, not heat them." Nathan said to Caden, jokingly.

[Zextra]

Caden slowly opened his eyes. "Hmm?" He looked up. "Oh, hello Nathan... You weren't kidding when you said Sorano was strong..." Caden explained to Nathan. "But man, he'e powerful. He's the first one since Cynthia to give Milotic a real battle" he said.

-MEANWHILE-

"We have quite the challengers today" Sorano walked up to Atrus. "My name is Sorano, and I'm the leader of this gym" He and Atrus made their way to the arena. "A boy a little younger than you came here a while ago" he said. "Do you by any chance know him?" he asked.
"Anyways, shall we start?" he asked, throwing a PokeBall. "Spiritomb, you're up!" A black, foggy and hazy Pokemon emerged, ready for battle. "I hope you give me as much of a fight as I had before" he thought to himself.

[Dementuo]

"I think I might know him. Was his name Caden? Also, what type of battle will this be? 3 on 3? 1 on 1?" Atrus asked, as he pulled out two different Pokéballs. "If it's a 1 on 1, then I'll have to use Pikachi, but if it's a 3 on 3, then I should be using Riolu..." Atrus planned out the battle in his head.

-MEANWHILE-

Nathan looked back a Caden. "So, what happened? Did you win, or did he stop the battle prematurely?" Nathan asked.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura continued looking for Rectus. He went to Rectus' computer room. "Rectus?" Zura called out through the darkness. "I need to find those two, and see what he thinks..." Zura thought.

-MEANWHILE-

Trancella was back in his office, looking through his window. He had observed two young trainers get on the nearby ferry to Grakus Isls. "Hm... How I remember those days... What I would have given to relive those days, but to have won that one battle... Glory... I will defeat you..."

[Zextra]

"So you do know him. I hope you're as much of a challenge as he was" Sorano smiled. "Rules are 1 on 1, with me stopping the battle when I see fit" Sorano said. Sorano looked at his other Pokeballs. "I hope I made the right choice" Sorano said excitedly.

-MEANWHILE-

"He stopped it, though I don't know what would've happened if we continued. I suppose it could have gone either way" Caden said sheepishly. "But I had to use five different combinations on him" Caden said. "Nobody has forced me to do that yet..." he looked down.

[Dementuo]

Atrus looked down at his Pokéballs, starting to second guess himself. "No, Atrus, no. Don't start doubting yourself, just do what you think is right." Atrus told himself. "Remember what happened back in Kanto..." Atrus thought. "Alright, go Pikachu!" The yellow mouse burst out of the red light. "Ok, Pikachu, use Rain Dance, then use Thunder!" Pikachu sent out a blue orb into the air, causing it to rain. The Thunder attack was then unleashed, and it kept on movingtowards Spiritomb no matter where it would go. "Because of the rain, Thunder will always hit the target." Atrus said.

-MEANWHILE-

"Well, think of it this way, bro. If you really had to go all out, then it proves that you're ready. Sorano is as powerful as the lower ranks of the Elite Four, and there are still 4 more Gyms. You'll just keep getting stronger as you go along, and if you could take on the first of the Elite Four right now, then think of how powerful you'll be when you finally do ge your eigth Gym Badge. You'll definitely be able to hamdle it, and you are definitely deserving of that badge." Nathan said reassuringly.

[CrystalCyae]

"Go Slugma, use Rockslide!" Declared Kalin. "Sluuuuuugmaaaaaa!" called the molten Pokemon as it used the move. "Now, use Flamethrower on the Rockslide!" Kalin smiled as the moves combined. He knelt down. "Hey Slugma, that's your best try yet. You're getting so much better. You'll be a Magcargo in no time!" Kalin stood up. "Now, return." The molten pokemon disapeared. Kalin snatched another Pokeball from his pocket. "Go, Flareon!" The small red fox appeared, raring to go. "Alright Flareon, use Fire Fang!" The area infront of Flareon's mouth burst into flames, then shaped into a fang shape. "Now, Scary Face." Kalin declared, trembling slightly. This was the first time he had tried this combo. If it didn't work....." Now, use Quick Attack!" The red fox darted foward at super speed, flames flickering infront of it. The Flareon collided with the small target and it disapeared. "Good Job Flareon!" Beamed Kalin, bending down to pick it up. He froze when he heard a sound.
The sound of lava, heading directly for the Forest. "Oh no, another Eruption!" Screeched Kalin. "[i]And I'm to far from the village. How will I make it back alive. Let's face it, this could be my last day on Earth.[/i]"

[Zextra]

"I know that tactic, and a worthy one indeed, but when it comes to Spiritomb, it's useless!" Sorano shouted. "And now, I'll show you why! Spiritomb, use Taunt!" Sorano called. Spiritomb let out a howl, which stopped the Rain Dance from working. "Now, dodge!" Spiritomb moved out of the way and avoided the Thunder. "You see, Taunt is a nasty move which prevents you from using any moves that don't attack!" Sorano explained. "You know what that means! The rain is discontinued" Sorano said. "Now, for the offensive side, use Dark Pulse!" Spiritomb let out a shriek, and fired off a dark wave, aimed for Pikachu. "Now, get ready to use 'that' attack" Sorano called

-MEANWHILE-

"Thanks, bro" Caden felt slightly relieved. "Nathan, what's the closest gym to here?" Caden asked? "I need to go train and prepare immediately" he said, as he picked up his Pokemon from Nurse Joy.

[Dementuo]

A shadow loomed over Kalin. "Skarmory, over there!" The Skarmory swooped down, and landed next to Kalin. Shubura was rising the Skarmory. "Get on, quickly! I'll fend off the eruption." Shubura said as he hopped off Skarmory. "Go on, get out of here. Go to the Gym, and I'll find you there." Shubura said. Shubura turned to the lava that was now pouring down the mountain. "Go, Rhyperior!" The rock Pokémon appeared from the red light. "Go and use Earthquake, and push that lava back up into the volcano!" Shubura pulled out another Pokéball as Rhyperior created slabs of rock which pooled together the lava, and started pushing it back up. "Go Quilava! Use Earthquake as well and help Rhyperior!" Quilava appeared, and did the same.

-MEANWHILE-

Zura Trancella had witnessed the eruption. "Alright Dusknoir, use Psychic to move the lava back." Dusknoir obeyed, and the lava started to move back into the volcano.

-MEANWHILE-

"Well, if you really want me to use only offensive moves, then so be it!" Atrus said. "Pikachu, dodge the Dark Pulse, then use Discharge!" Pikachu jumped into the air, and sent out massive bolts of electricity everywhere, illuminating the battlefield. "Now Pikachu, use Thunder Again!" Pikachu let out another bolt of electricity, shining intense light onto the field. "Now Pikachu, use Crunch!" Pikachu lunged towards Spiritomb, fangs beared.

-MEANWHILE-

"Well, the next gym is supposed to be in the Rockius Mountainside, but the closest one is in Immortafreeze City, by Mount Aquamarine." Nathan said.

[Zextra]

"Spiritomb, now! Unleash Sucker Punch!" You see, your attack will hit me, but Sucker Punch is a move so fast, that it's simply impossible to dodge, since it activates WHILE you are unleashing an attack!" Spiritomb vanished and shot a dark hazy fist at Pikachu. The hazy fist hit Pikachu, and the Discharge hit Spiritomb. "However, did you not forget that Spiritomb's strongest points are its defense?" Sorano asked. "Anyways, hit it with Psychic!" Spiritomb's eyes glowed blue and so did Pikachu's body. "How will you escape this?" Sorano asked.

-MEANWHILE-

"Alright, but which one do you think I should go to first?" Caden asked.

[Dementuo]

The Pikachu vanished. "Its definitely a good thing tha to had Pikachu use Double Team at the start of the battle, before you used Taunt." Pikachu reappeared behind Spiritomb. "Pikachu, now use Payback!" Pikachu slammed it's tail into Spiritomb. "Mix in Iron tail!" Pikachu's tail started glowing. "Becuase pikachu took a hit, Payback does twice as much damage! And with Iron Tail mixed in, it's even more powerful!" Atrus explained. "Now Pikachu, use Thunder Fang and mix in Shockwave!" Pikachu's fangs started glowing with electricity, and Pikachu then attempted to bite Spiritomb.

-MEANWHILE-

"Well, either one is alright, though without any good Fire Types, the Immortafreeze Gym will be a bit tougher." Nathan said. "I'd say that you should take them one at a time, doing what you can, and saving the harder stuff for later." Nathan said.

[Zextra]

"Hmmm...nor bad at all! Nice try, but since Taunt doesn't effect me, Spiritomb! Double Team and Substitute!" Sorano's counter created multiple copies of Spiritombs, each one of them bearing a Substitute. "Now how will you get past this?" Sorano's asked. "Let's continue the onslaught with Dark Pulse Barrage" The several Spiritombs fired off wave after wave of Dark Pulse, wiping out every single one of Pikachu's clones. In the end, there was only one left. "Spiritomb, use Confuse Ray!" Spiritomb encased Pikachu into a dark vortex. When the vortex subsided, Pikachu was still there, but... "Your Pikachu is now feeling disoriented, so it can't dodge Shadow Ball, close range from behind" Spiritomb forced out a Shadiw Ball just centimeters away from Pikachu's back. "Niw, you won't even have time to dodge!" Sorano said.

-MEANWHILE-

"Alright, I understand. But, can you help me train for a while before you leave?" Caden begged. "Please?" he lowered his head again.

[Dementuo]

The Shadow Ball hit Pikachu, but the Pikachu disappeared. "Thise weren't my only clones! I had Pikachu hide some from the very beggining! Now Pikachu, Double Volt Tackle Crunch!" Two Pikachus appeared behind Spiritomb using both Crunch and Volt Tackle. "My style of battling is to think ahead of my opponent, and plan for the worst. This situation is exactly why I taught Pikachu Double Team. It's a very useful move, you know." Atrus explained.

-MEANWHILE-

Nathan smiled. "Sure. Let's go, bro." Nathan walked outside of the Pokémon center. "We can battle at the coast."
