He looked down at his own hand, frowning.
[i]And there's not much I can do to stop it,[/i] He thought [i]I'm going to need a real miracle draw next turn or I'm done for.[/i]
[b]"I'll set two cards face down, switch my monster to defense mode and end,"[/b] Wings said, placing two cards behind his samurai.
[i]Either way, this duel is going to be over with pretty soon.[/i] he though grimly.

Wings' monster parried the attack from Kakeru's monster, leaving it unscathed.
[b]"Well that was pointless,"[/b] Wings frowned [b]"It looks like your monster's effect makes it immune to my 6R8 54MuR41's effect, so unless you have something else to play that seems like a pretty pointless move to me."[/b]
[i]Now he's got another monster that's going to be a pain,[/i] Wings thought [i]If I summon another monster I'll take damage, and it doesn't look like laying out any traps for that thing is going to help much either.[/i]

Norris noticed a girl enter the card shop, she seemed as if she was new to the shop. Norris suddenly felt something " [b]A duel Spirit![/b] " Norris was unable to see it , but he knew exactly where it was. Norris tought to himself { [b]That girl who just entered has a duel spirit, there is no doubt about it. I should move in closer to gater more intel[/b]} But before Norris could move to the girl he froze in his tracks as a cold shiver ran down his spine. { [b]Oh no it's[/b].... } " [b]Abigale, i didn't expect you to be here[/b]" { [b]Who is she trying to fool with that act, that girl is sour to the core. Her very presence gives me the creeps, she is just as dark as our leader. ughhhhhhh why me[/b]} Norris pulls off his hood revealing a tired face. He spoke with almost no emotion in his voice. " [b]Short end of the stick, well i guess you can say so. So Abigale you entered this tourney[/b]?"
{ [b]Why would she enter this tournament she and I both know she will win. I dont belive she would be as reckless like the others to use her sinful beast, but even without her beast Abigale is a very difficult duelist to beat. Hell the last time I faced her she kicked my Black Blood monsters to the curb.[/b]} Norris tryed to talk to Abigale in a relaxed tone, but he couldent help shake the very eerie feeling he got from her.

Abi put on a small smile. She could clearly see that Norris was unnerved by her prescence, something which she found very satisfying.
[b]"Well, all work and no play makes Abi a dull girl,"[/b] she said, but lowered her voice and put relaxed back into her usual tone of voice [b]"Besides, I'd hoped to get the opportunity to see how well these students can duel but so far..."[/b] she took a glance around the room [b]"...It looks like this place has barely attracted anything more than a bunch of mediocre, annoying pests.[/b]
She turned back to Norris, putting her 'cute act' back on and noticing he seemed distracted by something.

"[b] I suppose your right[/b] " He turned back to the girl who just entered the card shop. He whispered to Abigale " [b]That girl she has a duel spirit, but it doesent seem to be anything special[/b]." He turned his attetion back to Abigale, and spoken in his normal tired tone. " [b]If these duelist are below you, why dont you duel someone up to your level? There are a handful of duelist on this island that should satisfie your urge to duel Abigale. Around the shore there was one duelist who did perk my intrest he wore white cloths different from the students and he wielded gemini monsters. I got a weird feeling around him, but I could not put my finger on it[/b]." Norris paused for a bit { [b]crap if she does find a duelist of her level she might make it a shadow duel whichwould be awful[/b].} " [b]On the other hand forget I said anything, so whats the prize for this[/b]"

Chiyako turned to the conversation taking place between the man and the younger girl. Aailyah growled, though Chiyako looked down to her with a stern look in her eyes.

[i]I don't like this, Chiyako. Something about them doesn't seem right.[/i]

Chiyako sighed; even if the two were superheroes, Aailyah would have said that. The duel spirit wanted a fight, though Chiyako wasn't certain she'd be able to grant her wish. The tournament had already started; late signups were rare, and it didn't seem like it was the first round. She turned her head yet again, though slightly, to the duel spirit before whispering.
"If you get in a duel, you have to promise you won't go out of control. You know what happens when I'm in my core state. And you don't want [i]her[/i] forcing you back into the deck just to encourage me in that state."

[i]You're right. That foul little dragon girl is quite the pest. Alright, if I can be in a duel, I'll keep things at a minimum. I won't talk when on the field, got it? Now go check![/i]

Chiyako nodded and walked up to learn if she could join, passing the man who had removed his hood moments earlier. Aailyah still let out a growl of annoyance, though Chiyako dismissed it.

Spencer kept his gaze fixed on Voren but he took the time to answer Ander. " [b]Not now Ander, I will explain all of this later but for now sit back and shut up this is between me and him[/b]" he says with a tone of anger within his voice. Spencer's eyes were set of Voren, so when Voren tossed a card in his direction he had no problem catching it between his middle and index finger. Spencer held the card close to his face and took a quick glance at it, but nothing could prepare him for what the card was. Spencer's eyes had widen when he saw the card was none other than Voren's prize card Dragon Warrior. { [b]What is this some kind of joke?[/b]} Spencer looked at the beat up card and remembered his duel with Voren. Spencer knew that Dragon Warrior was Voren's best card, besides being his best card Voren had a very tight bond between with that card. " [b]Dragon Warrior[/b]? "

Frost Angel was completly shocked to see how much Voren had changed. She felt her heart sink when Voren just discarded his Dragon Warrior card without any thought. " [color="#00BFFF"]Voren how could you?[/color]" Frost Angel turned her sights to Dragos. She knew deep down that he must have been torn up inside, but she had no clue what to say to Dragos.Frost Angel always tryed to set the mood around Spencer, she would try her best to cheer him up if he got down but she had no idea how to help Dragos. Frost Angel felt very helpless in this situation, as a duel spirit she knew the importance of bonding with a duelist, but to just be discarded in such a way was considered the ultimate sin according to her. She began to tremble at the very sight of Voren, for a person to chage so drastically was scary to her. Frost Angel felt awful seeing Voren do this right infront of Dragos, but she could not help but relize that Spencer was on the same path himself if the beast within his deck continues to control Spencer he would become no different from Voren. " [color="#00BFFF"]Spencer ummm[/color]"

"Spencer held up his hand indacating to wait. " Frost Angel dont worry about a thing I will take care of this." Spencer looked over to Dragos from the coner of his eye. Spencer could not think of a day without Frost Angel hovering behind him even if she naged him to death. Spencer knew that Voren's bond was strong with his duel spirit. Voren's words echoed within Spencers head from the duel the two once had " [color="#FF0000"]Ha my deck is based off my Dragon Warrior, so no matter how much you beat him down he will only come back. So now I play my call of the haunted to bring back my Dragon Warrior[/color]!" Spencer did not want to take the card from Voren, but he knew if he held onto the card it would ensure a rematch with Voren. { [b]Dam I have to defeat Voren to ensure the safety of Frost Angel, but I am in no shape or form to duel right now[/b].} Spencer tought as blood ran down his body.

Out of the blue Spencer shivered as his skin had goosebumps { [b]What the hell[/b]}. No matter how cold it got from his powers Spencer never felt cold, so for him to feel cold for the first time he knew that the sorce from the sudden cold wasent his doing. It sourse of the coldness that filled the room was coming from Spencer's deck. Frost Angel froze in place when the coldness hit her, she immediately knew that it was coming from the same monster that impaled its claw within her chest. Frost Angel began to sweat from flashback of the horrible event. As it got colder she seemed to get worse, her heart began to race as she could feel the arrivel of that dark beast once more. The pain became to much for frost Angel to bear, she held her head in pain/fear and screemed as loud as she could. Spencer quickly turned around once he heard Frost Angel screame. "[b] Frost Angel[/b]?" Spencer quickly made his way to the bed, he grabed her by the Shoulders and tryed to calm her down. Once he grabed her he droped the Dragon Warrior card, Spencer's deck also spilled out from his duel disk his cards flew everwere some cards even landed ontop of the Dragon Warrior card. "[b] Hey Frost, Frost Angel calm down calm down[/b]" Her eyes were glassed over as she seemed lossed in a trance the look of fear completly filled her face. Spencer cradled her as he glared at Voren. " [b]This is all of your doing, because of you she has to suffer, well you want your duel you got Voren. You better make your peace with this world because once you are defeated im sending you on a trip to the shadows[/b]." Complete hate was held within Spencer's voice.

[color="#006400"]"Ok so everyones ready lets draw the numbers. 9Vs.2, 3Vs.7, And number 4 moves ahead." Miss Firne spoke loud enough for everyone to here her. "So everyone find your opponent and start round two." She added. She then looked at the students find there opponents and start their duels. "Everyone have [b]fun and be Fair[/b].[/color]

[color="#FF0000"]Dimitry walked aroun looking at the duels start, He stopped by sorenetie. "Babe knock him out and move to round three." He wispered in her ear. and then walked away.[/color]

"This guy won't know what hit him I'll pull out all the stops if I have to and I'll even use my" His thoughts were intoropted when his dream catser begain to flash showing that he didn't have much time to astro project. "I'll be right back I have to use the bathroom."? He said as he ran to the bathroom shot back to the ship and took another dream caster and shot back to the bathroom of the cardshop and then back to his duel. "Ok I'm ready." He said.[/color]

Norris watched as the girl with the duel spirit walked pass him. Norris was unable to see duel spirits but due to his powers he was able to feel/track where the duel spirit. He bent over whispering into Abigale's ear. " [b]That girl over there she has a duel spirit can you feel or see it[/b]" Norris trys to keep his distance from the girl , but he cant help but stare at the spot which the duel spirit stood. Norris continued to whisper to Abigale " [b]I dont know what it is, but there are a handful of duelist with duel spirits on this island. [/b] " He rubed his hand across his chin "[b]She doesent seem to be part of the tournament, maybe I should test her. I havent dueled once since I got here, of course there would be no need for my beast to arise. Besides I belived I gatered all the intel I need from this tournament, there are no duelist who looks as if they would pose a real threat to our cause Abigale[/b]."

Arthur drank a can of energy drink as his opponent sat down again, and then crumpled it on his forehead. "COME ON!" he shouted, before shuffling his deck and drawing five cards. "I'm first because I'm pro, right?" he asked his opponent.

As Inspector E Bill finished making loud plopping noises with his mouth, he looked around for things to do. Plucking a bunch of booster packs and a tin off a nearby shelf, he threw them one by one at the girl with the PLOT CONVENIENT POWER OF PASSIVE AGRESSIVENESS, watching them vanish one by one. [i]I wonder where those things go,[/i] he thought absently, before sitting down at a table. [i]And why am I still participating in this bad local tournament?[/i]

As Rebecca continued to gambol along the meadows on the cliff's edge, she came across a supply building filled with large holes. After stepping inside through a particularly large hole, she noticed a few Duel Monsters card tins and some melted candy embedded in the opposite wall. "Huh?" she said as reached out to poked a tin, then recoiled with a sharp hiss after she touched them. "HOT!" she screamed, looking at the burn mark on her right index finger. After a few seconds, she walked outside. Suddenly, she heard a loud humming sound. Turning around, she threw herself to the ground as multiple card packs flew from the horizon and burst into flames upon hitting the wall. After exhaling briefly, she stood up before ducking again as a burning tin flew past her and demolished the building. She huddled on the concrete for a few seconds before standing up and looking at the horizon.

The smudge was growing bigger.

Chiyako looked to her side, noticing Norris again. She began to speak to the man, hesitance in her voice as Aailyah growled and snarled.
"E-excuse me, is this still the first round of the tournament?"

The girl awaited a response, trying her best not to turn around and reprimand Aailyah.

The wolf looked to the man, teeth bared.

Norris looked towards Abigale " [b]So if you use call of the haunted with that card it would make a great combo kiddo[/b]" Norris patted Abigale on the head as if she was a small child or dog. {[b] Ha I bet that pissed her off, I know I will pay for that later but I couldent help mayself hahahah[/b]} he tought to himself.Norris then turned to the girl who was adressing him. Norris walked up towards the girl, as he walked towards her he pulled off his sunglasses revealing his grey eyes. Norris took care of his sunglasses as he folded it up, he then placed the sunglasses into a pocket inside of his cloak. A smile came across his face as he looked at the girl. " [b]Oh im sorry my dear I am unaware of what round the tournament is up to. I came in hopes of entering myself, but it seems I was to late. I had really hoped to try out my new deck aginst some of the students, but it looks like thats not going to happen. I can only blame myself for being late I had planned to come here early in the morning, but I decided to go for a jog aroun the island , and then the strangest thing happened when I reached the beach.... Oh I am sorry here I go babbling where are my manner you can call me Norris[/b]" He said with an innocent smile upon his face. " [b]And who may you be M'lady I dont belive I saw you before are you new here[/b]?"

[b]"That so?"[/b] Abigale replied as Norris told her about the man in white [b]"Well I'm sure he's completely inconsequential just like everybody else here."[/b]
She then eyed the girl Norris had pointed out, sensing her duel spirit as he did.

Her thoughts where interrupted, however, when Norris gave her a pat on the head, saying something about card combos. Abi was about to respond but bit her tongue, realizing it wouldn't be smart to cause a disturbance here.
[i]Oh, he is so dead,[/i] she scowled and walked out of the shop.

[i]Wasn't this place supposed to be crawling with duelists with spiritual powers?[/i] Abi thought [i]Why is it so hard to find one...[/i]
She paused, sensing the same dark energy as when she'd arrived with another nearby. A slight grin crossed her face and she changed direction.
[i]Finally, something to do,[/i] she thought, heading in the direction of the Ra Gold dorms.

-Dragos was no more surprised than Frost Angel when Voren tossed the card over to Spencer. Even those very words that escaped from Voren’s mouth where hard to come by. There was indeed a strong bond between the two when it came to dueling and during those times when they were not dueling. But seeing something such as this occur was something that no duel spirit…. Not even Dragos wanted to see. The darkness within the room was strong and it seemed to grow between the two individuals that stood in the room – not including Ander – who was on the sidelines between the two.-

[COLOR="Red"][B]”Voren, you don’t have to do this?”[/COLOR][/B] –Came the sound of Dragos’ voice.- [COLOR="Red"][B]”Please return to the way you are, that darkness is not who you are.”[/COLOR][/B]

[I]Is he truly serious of wanting to duel? I can see the sort of shape he is in, but I never would want to see someone duel in their kind of condition. It almost seems like that first time that we meet and entered into a duel and he was in the condition of barley able to stand up.[/I]

-In that moment Voren seemed to completely ignore what Dragos was saying. His eyes seemed to be entirely focused upon Spencer who was standing next to Frost Angel. All of his cards on the ground with a few of them on top of the Dragon Warrior card? Bringing both of his arms up he crossed them over his chest and let out a small chuckle at Spencer’s test of wanting to duel.-

[B]”This is all of your doing, because of you she has to suffer, well you want your duel you got Voren. You better make your peace with this world because once you are defeated im sending you on a trip to the shadows."[/B]

-For a moment Voren’s eyes shifted over to Frost Angel who laid there in total shock from screaming. This actually caused Voren to raise an eyebrow for the moment trying to figure out what was going on with her. And then with Spencer accusing him of the pain and suffering she was going through. Was it possibly the Sinful Beast card that Abigale handed over to him that caused this? There was the possibility and the only time Voren seen Frost Angel was when he dueled against that Wings character. However, he seemed different and there was no hiding the truth in the matter.-

-Dragos suddenly looked over to Frost Angel from his stand still point at the side of the bed. Confusion set over of what actually happened to her, but he figured it was best not to ask about what actually happened to her. Looking back over to Voren who stood in silence Dragos glanced down at Spencer’s cards that remained on the floor. Underneath a few of them was the Dragon Warrior card.-

[COLOR="Purple"]”You honestly think that is my work?”[/COLOR] –Voren said aloud while pointing over to Frost Angel.- [COLOR="Purple"]”I have no idea what happened to her to make her suffer like that Spencer, and if you think you can defeat me in a duel in the condition you are in you are sadly mistaken.”[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Orange"]”Don’t be such a fool, boy.”[/COLOR] –Came that same dark voice that only Voren could hear.- [COLOR="Orange"]”You and I both know that if we duel him now he wont last long with all that he is going through. Let’s show him the true power of your deck and the true power of the new card you gained. If that much can be done to that Frost Angel imagine what could be done to your friend Spencer and even Dragos.”[/COLOR]

-Voren remained silent for a moment. In Spencer’s condition he did not want to duel him until he regained all of his strength. Something inside was telling Voren to hold that respect as a duelist and not duel when someone looked like they could not hold a candle in a duel. However, on the other hand something said that he could easily take Spencer down in this sort of duel without a problem. Voren still held that close bond of respecting a duelist and having high respect for his cards. Dragos who stood firm next to Frost Angel looked over at Voren who seemed to be in a trans. He could tell that Voren was trying to fight off a duel against Spencer so he (Spencer) could rest up from all that happened.-

Chiyako frowned when the man stated he had no idea what round the tournament was on; she knew she wouldn't be able to join in. She then replied to his greeting, as well as his asking for her name.

"I'm Chiyako. It's a pleasure to meet you, Norris. Yes, I'm new here, but I'm not new to dueling or anything. I came here as soon as I could, but I guess I was a bit too late. I really wanted to give a good first impression, too."

[i]You can still give a good first impression by not hanging around with this group...[/i] Aailyah muttered, though Chiyako ignored her.

"I'm sorry you didn't make it on time, either. This place is pretty big, though. Did it take a while for you to jog around the entire island? I'd get lost if it wasn't for my duel-"

Aailyah snarled, Chiyako continuing.

"My duel disk's compass feature."

As the Darkness raging in the hearts of the two young men raced around the room, Ander stood dumbfounded. The darkness seemed to simply stop when it came close to Ander. Even a normal person would be able to feel the danger building in the air. To prove his mentally-impervious nature, Ander simple stood there, completely dumbfounded. As Spencer dropped his cards, Ander sighed and picked them up, putting them back in place and looking at Dragos. "[b]Poor thing's gonna turn to powder before its next duel if we aren't careful guys...[/b]"

Ander turned to Spencer, "Oh, and that whole sitting back and shutting up thing? Sorry, that's not ho friends operate. You're still blind, so I'm going to be your eyes, got it?" Ander looked to Voren. "And as for you....I don't know what type of mid-life crisis you're going through, but kindly get lost. This whole 'bad guy' act is stupid. If you really wanted to dress like a weirdo, you could have asked me [i]after[/i] our duel, instead of pretending to faint." Said Ander, who was wearing a trench coat as well.

Ander didn't know exactly what was going on between the two of them, but with all the shadow talk, he assumed to had something to do with those weird powers that Spencer had been going on about. He'd love to watch another strange-power-duel, but he didn't think Spencer's dorm room, or Spencer for that matter, could handle explosions and other weird things. He'd hate to see TWO magically weirdos throwing powers around, so he simply could let them do it.

"Look punk your no pro I saw your last duel you got luck this time you wont, And Ill let you go first just so I can cill you all the sooner." Meko spoke so fast the words just blared by the dumbfounded child. he the drew his cards and then looked at the punk in the sit acrossed from him.[/color]

"Lady's first right?" Sorenetie asked as she sat down. she then shuffled and drew her first five cards. "So shall we begain?" she questioned, As she looked at the crack head looking man sitting acrossed from her.

Norris grined as Chiyako caught her wording. " [b]I see a duel disk's compass feature well that must be really handy[/b]" Norris placed his hands behind his head. " [b]I can understand why you would want to make a good first impression. Alot of people judge you based on how you duel, weather they fear or respect is all based on how you duel[/b]." Norris glanced at the area where Chiyako's duel spirit stood and smerked. He quickly looked back into Chiyako's eyes.

{ [b]Hmmm this girls has a duel spirit but I dont really sense anything from her and thats what bothers me. Any time a duelist has a duel spirit they would have a particular feel to them, but this girl feels like a normal girl. Something is not right with her, I guess there is only one way to find out what this girl is about[/b].} Norris tought to himself.

Norris smiled and placed his arm across Chiyako shoulders, he bent down so the two would match in height. "[b] Heres an idea how about we have a duel right outside of the shop. I am not the best duelist in the world , but who knows it could be very fun. I will even sweeten the deal if you can beat me I will even give you a very rare card because thats just the kind of guy I am.[/b]." Norris purposely looked stright at the duel spirit with a smerk across his face. He turned all of his attetion back to Chiyako. "[b] So what do you say[/b]? " {[b] Come on and take the bait, so me why you are special [/b]} he tought

Chiyako was surprised by the offer to duel but accepted, nodding her head.
"I guess the tournament would keep people from actually seeing me duel, but that also means a loss would go virtually undetected... Sure, I'll duel you, then. I'm not that great either, but I'll try not to go easy on you."

Aailyah noticed Norris shift his attention to her for a bit and looked to Chiyako. [i]Chiyako, don't! Just wait until the next tournament and get away from him![/i]

Chiyako awaited a response from the man, ignoring Aailyah. [i]Aailyah, however strong, or wicked, he is, I can match it... If not surpass it. Besides, it's probably just a friendly duel.[/i]

A smile came across Norris face. " [b]Wounderful, well we should take this outside so we wont be in anyones way M'lady[/b]" Norris placed his hands within the pockets of his cloak and walked outside. Norris walked a few feet from the card shop. { [b]This duel will be to only test her power so doing it in the open shouldent cause any harm[/b].} he tought. Norris placed on his sunglasses which was tucked away inside of his cloak, once the glasses were on his face Norris discreetly preesed a small button on his glasses to record the data from the duel.

" [b]Now dont go to hard on me [/b]" Norris etxtended his arm out revealing an round object connected to his wrist. " [b]Shall we[/b]" The round objject created a loud frighting noise which sounded like a sword being drawn from its sheath. Out of the device straped onto Norris wrist revealed a large red and black blade which looked more like a scythe than a duel disk. " [b]Lady Chiyako I am a strong beliver of chivalry so please you may take your turn[/b]" Norris placed his deck nside of his blade like duel disk which shuffeled his cards. " [b]I did have one question for you M'lady. Why do you duel? what is your reason behind it[/b]" Norris responds in his usual tired/lazy voice.

Kakeru then walked up to him and stuck his arm out for a handshake, "Do go on, I want to make this official." Kakeru smilled at Wings, hoping that maybe he would be able to make a new ally.

Chiyako nodded when Norris stated he would let her take the first turn. After that, he asked what were her motives for dueling. Trying not to say anything suspicious, she simply replied with "I dunno, I guess I just really like it is all."

She drew her silver and blue duel disk, drawing her starting hand before commencing the duel.

"I draw."

Chiyako didn't seem to have much emotion in her voice, and she looked to Norris with a blank face; she didn't want the opponent to be able to read whenever she had a good hand.

"First, I'll Set one monster card. Now, I put two face-downs in my Spell and Trap Zone and end my turn."
