He kind of reminds me of.... well..... me, back when I first got my duel disk and began playing the game.

-Voren thought to himself while watching Ander fiddle around with his duel disk trying to make it work. It managed to turn on but did not perform the automatic shuffler that most duel disks now performed. It was the possibility that this was an older version of a duel disk and required the shuffling of cards by hand. At times Voren enjoyed shuffling his own cards but other times he would leave it to his disk so they match could start.-

"Looks kind of like you Voren when you first started dueling. It took you a full hour to figure out how to use a duel disk and then three days to learn how to synchro summon monsters." -Came the voice of Dragos. Voren simply offered a smile and glanced over to Dragos who stood at his side watching Ander prepare himself.-

"Want me to explain the rules as well?"

-Voren questioned in a joke kind of way. The way Voren already saw how Ander acted in certain situations seemed a little embarassing, but that was how most new duelist began. Even Voren himself was a little nervous when he entered into his first underground duel. He survived the pain but lost the duel in 4 short rounds because of the kind of deck his opponent was carrying. However, that was then and this was now and Voren was a much better duelist then before. His cards had his back and even if Ander did not believe him he was about to show him how strong a bond with ones cards would be.-

"You ready to begin we can either start off with 8000 life points or 4000, your choice?"

"It's not stupid! It worked on me, of course I was just told these stories." He told Luna as they where working in the control room, "Now Atem is speaking of the ancient rituals of sealing monsters." Kyosuke pointed out as he increased the volume a tad. "If all works out, Aiya will fall asleep and re-awake as if it was all a dream and be convinced of the existence of Duel Monster spirits."

OOC: Ok! Back! Was E-mailing some pictures from a slightly more functional computer.

"I Set down a face down, and play the spell card "The (A)ssault Forces". Now each warrior on my field gains 200 ATK for each warrior or spellcaster I control. To compliment the defence I just set up, I'll play a person favorite of mine: Evocator Chevalier" Ander, unlike most excitable duelist, spoke calmy while setting the cards down and declaring his moves. awkwardly put the cards into play, having difficultly handling the duel disk. "Good thing my friend told me this thing is left handed, or I might have opened it backwards. Heh."

As he heard this kid announce about a very well known type of style, he smirked.

"Only an idiot brazingly announces his strategy. My Draw."

Xerian said as he drew and look at the cards in his hand. He smirked as he kept his thoughts to himself for the moment, too early to blatantly brag about what he had just yet.

"I play two cards face down and I set one card."

Xerian said as he placed them in the two zones outside the middle as well as putting his monster dead center. He had a reason for this of course though, which his opponent would be rudely awakened by.

"And I end."

Arthur drew and took a huge breath. Brazingly? he thought. Looks like I'd have a more interesting practice by simply solitaring. "I'll play the Spell Card Heavy Storm from my hand, destroying all Spell and Traps on the Field. If that's OK, then next I'll activate the Spell Card Reinforcement of the Army, searching out my Armageddon Knight. If that's OK, then next I'll Normal Summon my Knight, sending my Destiny Hero Malicious from my Deck to the Graveyard with its effect. Now, I'll Flip Summon my Plaguespreader Zombie and tune it to my Armageddon Knight for my Goyo Guardian. Now, I'll Special Summon Dark Armed Dragon from my hand. Next, I'll RFP the Malicious in my Graveyard to Special Summon another Destiny Hero Malicious from my Deck. If that's OK, next I'll set 1 backrow and topdeck my last card in hand to Special Summon the Plaguespreader Zombie in my Graveyard. Now, I'll tune my Malicious and my Plaguespreader Zombie to Summon my Stardust Dragon in Attack Mode. Finally, I'll remove from play the Armageddon Knight in my Graveyard to destroy your set monster with my Dark Armed Dragon's effect. Now, I'll declare direct attacks on your Life Points in this order: Stardust, Goyo and Dark Armed." he said, before falling to the ground and throwing up a little.

Luna stared blankly at Kyosuke for a second and shrugged.
"Fine," she said "I just hope you don't solve all your problems this way."

Aiya stared in disbelief at the scene unfolding before her. It seemed that a person who looked exactly like Yugi Muto except with darker skin and dressed as a pharaoh was talking about an ancient ritual using monsters that Aiya recognized from the duel monsters card game.
I swear this has to be a dream, she thought to herself But why the hell am I even dreaming about this.
She remained where she was standing, too transfixed by the scene to move from her spot.

"Done yet?" Luna asked impatiently.

"No, I don't solve all of my problems and we have one more scene to go." Kyosuke pressed a button revealing a sandstorm surrounding Aiya and disappeared to show a new scene. "Now Yugi is talking to one of his duel spirits, Kuribo." Kyosuke then turned up the volume a bit more and watched as the scene took place, "There will be two more transitions, one of a shadow duel using the real monsters and one of Me talking with my first Duel Spirit."

The scene promptly dissolved into a whirlwind of sand and Aiya raised her arms over her face, forgetting that this was supposed to be a dream. When she looked up again she was somewhere completely different and saw Yugi, the actual Yugi, talking to....A Kuriboh. More perplexing that this, the Kuriboh was talking back, or at the very least making short krii, krii sounds in response. Aiya watched this scene aghast, wondering if what she was seeing was true or not.
Wait a sec she thought, looking down at the pendant she was still wearing Dont tell me that putting this on is making me have these wierd dreams?
She bit her lip, looking up as the scene changed again.

"Seems like a lot of trouble to go through just to convince one girl that I'm real," Luna replied "Why do you care so much anyway? She was perfectly fine not knowing I existed. You could've just told her you surrendured out of pity or something, she's be fine and you wouldn't be going out of your way to do this stuff."

An interesting move, now for each warrior on his field his monsters gain a 200 attack point boost.

-The two cards set upon his field where an interesting set. Voren kept his arms crossed the entire time as Ander played each and everyone of his cards on the field. One monster and one spell card that would increase the attacking power of his monsters by 200 points. Un-crossing his arms he lifted his duel disk up along with his hand placing it on his duel deck. Now it was time to play on a good card and show how much Voren cared for his cards.-

"This is it, Voren..... my release will be soon." -Came the dark voice. Shaking the feeling away Voren proceeded with his turn.-

"Now there is the possibility." -Voren said drawing his card.- "Now let me begin by summoning Soldier of a Different Army to the field in attack mode. True he is a level five monster but his special ability allows me to summon him from my hand to the field if my opponent has monsters on his side of the field and I have no monsters on my field."

-Placing the card on the duel disk in an up-right position the holographic features begin working by bringing out an armored and masked warrior onto the field. A red scarf travels across the warrior's chest and around his neck flowing out behind him. Standing firm the warrior monster crosses his arms standing at an angle. A strong card like this would normally cost a sacrifice of another monster but Voren held his strategy together strong enough to get some good monsters onto the field.-

"Now I summon Speed Warrior to the field in defense mode."

Gemini monsters, from what memory serves from my duel with that mysterious duelist he can send an equip card on the field to the graveyard to destroy one of my cards. And his monster is 200 points stronger because of the spell card he has on the field. Just will have to see how he adapts with those warrior monsters.

"lovely, Mi amigo. I draw my next card." Ander, according to his self-narration, drew his next card. "Huh. That odd. Usually I'm not this lucky. Oh well. I normal summon Marauding Captain, and by his effect special summon Queen's double in attack mode."

[] [] [Queen's Double] [Marauding Captain] [Evocator Chevalier]

"I'm a fairly careful individual, but this time, I think I'll be slightly more reckless than usual, just to see your eyes when you're thinking" Ander mused strange things to himself. " So, I'm going to equip Horn of the Unicorn to my Evocator Chevalier, and He'll take a stab at your Soldier of a Different Army. Currently, He's at 3200 Attack, due to the 600 he gains from assault forces, and the 700 he gains from Horn of the Unicorn."

As he saw this, he couldn't completely negate it, but he could hold it out.

"I wouldn't be too sure of that. First, you activated the effect of my trap, Don't Get Greedy!"

As the card swept up, it soon returned instead to Arthur's Spell Card Zone, the one to the most left. It then reveal a giant, monstrous spiked chest just standing there, laughing.

"Tit for tat I guess. I now reveal my Rumbling of Earth to activate his effect!"

As Xerian displayed the card, a giant set of sheet rocks soon appeared and proceeded to shake violently and shortly enough, Dark Armed Dragon shook as well, before he was destroyed by it.

"If you target my Rumbling of Earth for an attack or card effect while it's face Down you see, I can reveal it before your action occurs to destroy the card targetting. However, he returns to my Deck because of this effect."

As this happened, Xerian watched as he shuffled the card into his Deck. And then, the attack from Stardust Dragon came, hitting him hard for 2500 damage.

Feeling almost short of breath, Deryn left the card shop, finding another duel already taking place outside. "Prime dueling space doesn't stay vacant long round here does it?" she joked, and leaned back to watch the duel, desperately trying to put that odd feeling out of her mind. Since the duelist were using Warrior-types, it helped the situation some what. I guess it'll be good to see what strategies warrior monsters can use, after all they are very popular, and I could be facing a lot of them in the near future. Above her, Harpie Princess stayed silent, gaze shifting between the duel and the girl who no longer saw her.

Well I do have to say he uses those cards like he has been using them for several years. Even if they are mish-mash cards they work well together.

"I activated the trap card Negate Attack."

-That one face down card flipped up revealing the Negate Attack card. A swirling vortex springs out from the card striking Ander's monster sending the warrior flying back onto Ander's side of the field.-

"Not only does this negate your attack but it ends your battle phase right on the spot. Nice play though?"

Now because his spell card is a continuous card he can't destroy it to stop my trap card. And now his other monsters cant attack. Interesting move and set of cards for warrior-type monsters. Very interesting indeed.

Ander laughed, seeming fairly happy about the turn of events. "I was honestly expecting Mirror Force. With my battle phase over, and nothing more to do, I call it your turn."

Ander looked over to the side to see a fairly forlorn looking young lady. She seemed to have just come from the card shop, like them. He decided since things weren't too intense right now, it would be safe to wave to her. Following his impulse, Ander called out to her and waved. "Hello! Come a bit closer and chat for a while if you feel so inclined. We just started here."

"When My void of Nightmare is set in a card zone, all cards in zones adjacent to it are removed from play until your End Phase. So, farewell to your Goyo Guardian!"

Hmmm no face-down cards? What is he planing? -Voren thought looking Ander's field over. His gaze soon shifted over to another individual who came out of the card shop and started watching the duel between himself and Ander. With a nod and a smile Voren placed his hand on his deck and drew his next card. His one monster had 3200 attack points which could easily destroy anyone of his monsters on the field. And then his other monster could attack his life points directly. What was his plan? Pulling one of his cards from his hand he moved on with his turn.-

"I summon to the field The Forgotten Warrior in attack mode."

-Placing the card on his disk; an armored warrior appeared with some kind of laser sword in hand a dark brown cloak over his shoulders moving down to the ground. The warrior stood straight up with a firm grasp on his laser sword standing next to Soldier of a Different Army.-
"Now thanks to his special ability he gains 300 attack and defense points for each warrior-type monster on the field. So there are three warrior monsters on your side of the field and three on mine. So if you are good at math he gains 1800 attack and defense points added to his 1500. Not only that but he comes with another ability. He can attack your life points directly even if you have monsters on the field. Go and strike at him with laser sword slash."

-Bringing the laser sword up The Forgotten Warrior arches his knees and jumps up and over Ander's monsters. Landing behind Ander he swings in for a 3300 direct attack.-

"I will leave it at that with one card face-down. Your move."

The Warrior jumped into the air, getting ready to bring down a painful amount of life points, but Ander looked up at it with a smile, then held up his activated trap card to it. The confused warrior fell into a tube and vanished, then came out the other end, mistakenly striking Voren for all 3300 points of damage.

As he took the heavy hit, Xerian grunted to himself as the attack ended.

"My Draw."

As he did this, he grunted again. Not what he wanted at this time but he'd have to have it make due. He cracked his neck then.

"First, I activate Void of Nightmare!"

Xerian said as soon enough, the card set itself in a Trap card Zone next to the Face Down card. It was also below Goyo Guardian as the maw soon opened up, revealing a vortex filled with biting mouths and fangs.

"You see, when Void of Nightmare is in play, all the Card Zones adjacent to it have any cards in them, removed from play until your End Phase. So say bye to your trap and Goyo Guardian."

Xerian said as soon enough, both of the cards were sucked into the void. As this happened, Xerian knew he'd hate using this as it wasn't his style but, he had no choice right now.

"And now I activate, Black Illusion Ritual. Now by Tributing my Enigmatic Harmony, whose level is Six, I can Ritual Summon Relinquished in attack mode and activate it's effect! Now I choose your Dark Armed Dragon!"

Xerian said as soon enough, a large being appeared on the field, marked with a giant eye. Soon enough, the Dark Armed Dragon vanished from the field on Arthur's side and returned to Xerian's side in a s/t Zone, now attached to Relinquished.

"I can equip one of your monsters to my Relinquished and gain it's ATK and DEF as my own. I'll now set one card face down and reveal it to you. It is my Chains of Mania. By Revealing it to you, I can move it one of my Monster Card Zones face down. Now Relinquished, Attack his Stardust Dragon, Dark Armed Punisher!"

Relinquished said as soon enough, it's form morphed into DAD and attacked Stardust Dragon. It wouldn't be a big hit but it had to be done. He would destroy the card itself and deal 300 LP if it worked.

Interesting move indeed, but it looked as though as he did not play a trap card.

-Voren gave a small smile as The Forgotten Warrior slashed at him dealing 3300 points of damage bringing him down to 4700 life points. He could tell very much that Ander could really handle himself with a warrior-type of deck and that spoke a lot to him. Even if Ander denied it those cards held a special bond to him and it was nothing you could simply throw away at the moment. It was something more.-

"Nicely played, you can really use those cards of yours."

"Dandy, I'm going to draw me a card. Now, I'm going to Normal summon Evocator to give him his effect. Next, I'll use Evocator's ability to destroy the set card of yours."

Evocator torn the protuding horn from his armor and threw it forward at Voren's field. In flight, it burst into flames and crashed onto the set card like a helping of napalm, burning the card away.

"Next, I shift my Marauding captain into defense mode. Evocator will attack your Soldier from a Diferent Army, and Queen's double will attack your Speed warrior."

Evocator, after throwing the explosive horn, drew his saber and dashes forward, locking blades with Soldier from a Different Army. As Soldier from a different army gained the advantage, shards of glass shot up from the ground all around the nearby Speed Warrior, who proceeded to dodge them. The (holographic) ground ruptured and Soldier from a Different Army lost his footing. Evocator took the opportunity to trip Soldier, and slice across his chest and his fell. Meanwhile, Speed Warrior was skating through a maze of glass, mirrors and ice. Now and then, he would see Queen's double's reflection in the glass and mirrors and dodge what may or may not be an attack, only to dodge right into her deft movements and find a a mandful of shards in his back.

"If I'm not mistaken, that'll take a good 600 points from your other intimidating warrior, no? Also, don't forget when Horn of the Unicorn is sent to my graveyard from play, it returns to the top of my deck." Ander smiled casually. "I end my turn."

"Luna, It's not fair to you." Kyosuke said prompting up the next Shadow Duel scene. "It's not fair that you want to help her but can't, it's not fair that you stay loyal to her yet she doesn't even believe in your existence. Besides." But then when I got Blue, he carried me out of that ditch into what I am today. I owe him the world for that. And I don't know where I'd be without him."

(ooc: Ugh, miscounted. I'll put that at the bottom.)

Xerian looked on at the situation. Lucky draws and an abundance of specialty cards would make this difficult.

"My Draw."

He said as he drew a card. As he did, he looked at it with a smile. It may not be a battle changer, but it would at least buy him some time.

"I now activate the Field Spell Card, Shattered Reality!"

Xerian said as soon enough, the entire area around them practically broke apart in appearance, a swirling mass of dark reds and blacks and fragments of images floating around aimlessly.

"This Field Spell card reduces the attack and defense of Face Up Monsters to 0 as long as it's on the field. And I end my turn."

Luna heaved a sigh and folded her arms, looking back in on Aiya.
"You make it sound like you know it all back to front, rich boy," she replied, not looking back at him "It's all the same, people get one duel spirit and they think they understand the whole thing. Sure I want to help her and all but..." she faltered, still not looking at Kyosuke "...She's different than you. Kyosuke didn't become angry with Luna, "I never said I know her, but what harm can it do? I also never said I had a shitty life either. Actually I'm lucky, to have a dad like mine. I don't know her, but it's obvious that she needs you. And if it doesn't work out then it doesn't, but there is no harm in opening her options. I don't know her, and no I'm not the smartest person in the world..." Kyosuke suddenly became angered, "BUT HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME BECAUSE I'M RICH! I realise that I'm not the smartest person in the world, nor the saddest but I'm trying to help! NOW SHUT UP!" Kyosuke hated it when people underestimated him, especially since he was doing this for the person who insulted him. "The final scene is almost over, she will fall asleep again and re-awaken, hopefully with a new grasp on what's real and what's not."
